In the home page why does Firefox say I haven't upgraded when I have. This has been going on for over three weeks, I am now on 9 and still it says I have not upgraded.
In the home page why does Firefox say I haven't upgraded when I have. So I upgrade again and still it says I haven't next time I log on. Today I upgraded to 9, it said congratulations on upgrading, I log off then log back on only to be told yet again I need to upgrade. What is going on?
You may see that message below the Google search box on www.google.com/firefox which is the old Firefox default home page. It appears that page is no longer being maintained. You appear to have Firefox 8.0.1 installed which is the latest version.

I am trying to verify my email contact address with Apple. In the confirmation email I received, the link to verify is not active. This has been going on for over 2 weeks. They keep sending emails where I can't click on "VERIFY Now".
In case anyone else has this problem, it turns out that my email provider's software was stripping the link out before it got to my mailbox.

I keep getting asked to update Firefox. When I click on the update it just goes to the "connecting to update computer" but even after 30 minutes it still doesn't connect. This has been going on for over a month.
Do a clean (re-)install:
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
* Do not remove personal data if you uninstall the current version.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
When I repair disk permissions using Disk Utility and it says it's completed the task, I click on it again and it repairs more. This has been going on for hours now. Could there be that many wrong permissions? Should it get to "all repaired" eventually?
It's normal behavior. You don't have to worry about. Most of what's listed is just a report of what the utility finds., not necessarily that there is omething wrong.

Got it! Thanx. What I did was go to my account, check that they had my new ID and Password which they did, then hit reset button. All fixed. -
When I click on Firefox Icon to open browser a window opens that says..Firefox has had a problem and has crashed.It says a report will be sent to Mozilla and problem will be fixed when Firefox is closed,(It never opened),I click on close Firefox and it says a report is being sent.Then a few seconds later it says...Report successfully sent and closes.It also asked if I want Mozilla to contact me about this report,I checked yes and have recieved nothing.I WANT MY FIREFOX..This has been going on for since Nov.30th.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

It will not connect but my other apple devices can connect and the wifi works very well. I have moved houses to my house wifi isnt the same as the old one. Also, i have to type in the password every time even if i click autosave. Sometimes it also says invalid password or connection timeout. This has been going on for two months and is getting really annoying. I've tried most of the solutions listed on other discussions, none of them work. Any other tips? Thank you. My iPad will not update apps. It states it is installing but if never completes the installation this has been going on for more than 24 hours. What do I need to do?

Is there an issue going on with the iPhones? And iPads? I cannot send text pics. I can't get on Facebook, and I can't get on anything that uses Facebook ex Slotomania. This has been going on for a few days!!! It is happening with and without upgrades.

After restoring from backup on a new phone (same model, just replacement) all my apps are showing as waiting....I have sync'd but still without any joy - this has been going on for hours
It just means some spammer is using your email address as the sender address for their spam. This is very easy to do - anyone can do it simply by changing the From email address in their email program. It does not mean your account was hacked or you have a virus (there are no current Mac viruses on the loose anyway, nor has there been for years).
There's nothing you can do about it. It can happen to anyone and the spammers will move on to using someone else's email address before long. -
the last update on my apple tv has been going on for like a week and i can't stop it even if i unplug it. it shows a pic of the tv connecting to iTunes, what do i do?
If ATV is unplugged and you are still seeing an image that is not coming from ATV.
If the update failed then you will need to connect ATV to a computer with iTunes via a USB cable and restore the software from iTunes. -
I have set up Iphone4s with my pc and ticked only required songs to sync. I clicked apply and it has been going for over 12 hours on my Iphone just displayimg loading. The capacity on my iphone shows a capacity of 6.3gb used out of 13.6 Am i doing something wrong ?
Thanks for the replies. It took a while not hearing anything so thought I was alone. I have done many of the suggestions already. The key here is that it occurs on both phones with apps, and phones still packaged in a box.
A Genius Bar supervisor also checked his Verizon data usage log and found the same 6 hour incremental use. Suprisingly, he did not express much intrigue over that. Maybe he did, but did not show it.
I think the 6 hour incremental usage is the main issue here. I spoke with Verizon (again) and they confirmed that all they do is log exactly when the phone connected to the tower and used data. The time it records is when the usage started. I also found out that the time recorded is GMT.
What is using data, unsolicited, every 6 hours?

Since no one from Apple seems to be chiming in on this, and I have not received the promised calls from Apple tech support that the Genius Bar staff said I was suppose to receive, it is starting to feel like something is being swept under the rug.
I woke up the other day with another thought ... What application would use such large amounts of data? Well ... music, video, sound and pictures of course. Well ... what would someone set automatically that is of any use to them? hmmm ... video, pictures, sound. Is the iPhone 5 succeptible to snooping? Can an app be buried in the IOS that automatically turns on video and sound recording, and send it somewhere ... every 6 hours? Chilling. I noted that the smallest data usage is during the night when nothing is going on, then it peaks during the day. The Genius Bar tech and I looked at each other when I drew this sine wave graph on the log print outs during an appointment ... -
In the icloud settings, I am told I need to accept the terms and conditions to use icloud. However, when I click on "Terms and conditions", I get a message "unable to connect to server". This has been happening for a week now since I upgraded to iOS 7.06. There is no problem with my wifi or cellular connectivity, all other applications work perfectly. P.S.I have never used icloud before, but wish to do so now. How do I overcome this problem?
Have you turned the iPad off then back on? That often helps with problems.

I can't buy or download anything. It keeps whining that the data is wrong, both on iPhone and iPad. It's the right info but it keeps whining about "payment method declined" or something? I dunno, some say it fixes itself after a few days. But it's been like this for a few weeks now. :/
