In the itunes library, a single album appears to be split into two separate parts, how do i combine them?

my itunes library has several albums that are split into two parts. one contains half of the album's songs and the other the other half. how do i combine these so the album only appears once in it's entirety?

Generally setting a common Album Artist will fix things.

I know this doesn't help you Bud, but I've had this issue for at least the last couple of versions. If I can ask, what is you enviornment like? Local PC only, libray saved on another PC/Server?
In my case my library is on Windows 2003 server with the share mapped to drive M: This has worked for many years through both XP and Windows 7 until and update a while ago.

HT203167 My iTunes had over 100 albums, but now only 5 after an update. How can I get them back?

Like I said, I had well over 100 albums on my computer. These were all imports from physical albums, some of which I don't have anymore. I updated iTunes this morning and now I have 5 albums. I've tried rolling iTunes back to a saved point, but it didn't put anything back in and now that restore point is gone. I thouht I could just search for the albums on my computer and re-import them, but they seem to be wiped from the entire computer. What the heck? Is there any way to get them back?

Since I installed the latest version of itunes about a week ago I keep getting a pop-up saying 'the itunes library file cannot be saved. an unknown error occured (-50)' Noooo idea how to go about fixing this :S

Quick question - unchecked songs and videos in the iTunes library

Will these or should these show up in Apple TV ?
Reason I ask is that they are unchecked as they won't all fit on the iPod touch. However, there is no reason why I wouldn't want to listen or watch them through Apple TV.

If they are unchecked in the iTunes library, they won't show up on tv. You should still be able to check them separately for iPod using the devices on the left and sync options across the top. ie. I have some thing unchecked so tv won't list them but I sync those same items to iPad/iPhone by using their individual sync options.

I have tried a few things but iTunes closes right after i click okay. Anyone know anything?

Look in your Home > Music folder. There should be an iTunes folder there and it should have a number of files and folders including one called library.itl You want to guide iTunes to that file. If you don't see that file or folder then in your next post you will have to be very specific as to what you do see or how you have your iTunes set up because that's where it should be according to default settings.

Then I uncheck a lot of song and synced my ipod again same message appeared. Do I need to buy a new ipod with more memories? Somebody told me to check apply after I unchecked some of the songs but I cannot find the word APPLY. please help I'm not a very technical person.

The Sync button becomes the Apply button, if you change the iPod's settings in iTunes. If you are only unchecking songs in the iTunes music library, you click on the Sync button.
When you select the iPod in iTunes, you see the iPod's Summary screen on the main part of the iTunes window. There is a checkbox there for Sync only checked songs. Did you check that checkbox? If you want iTunes to ignore the songs you unchecked when syncing your iPod, that setting needs to be enabled. If you change that setting, you'll see the the Sync botton has changed to Apply. Click Apply.
That method of unchecking songs works, but it may become annoying over time, as you need to uncheck more and more songs. If you want advice on some other more convenient ways to make it work, you can post back.
