In the new firefox, the encryption tab in advanced settings is gone. where is it?

I updated my firefox, and suddenly the encryption tab which is in tools, options, advanced settings, is now gone, and there is another tab named "certificates" instead. Where has it moved to?

Yah, except with the new NSA revelations I want to set and/or verify my levels of encryption as I have in the past. Removing all encryption information leaves us all hanging. SSL 3.0 and TSL 1.0 should be on for everyone while SSL 2.0 needs to be off forever. Is this the case? How would I know?
So, no, calling users morons (after reading the blog on this topic) and making a feature available for a purportedly 'only 2%' of users who care is not a sufficient argument. If Mozilla is truly committed to not working with the NSA, then encryption should be identified for all users of Firefox instead of completely hidden from view.
Guess I'll be searching through older versions of Firefox....sigh

Even though set to open to home page, Firefox always opens in a new tab and to the previous tabs. All settings seem correct. I just want it to open in a new window to my home page

I cannot open Firefox in a clean new window to the home page. Options are set to open to home page and open new window in new tab is deselected. I do not want my history coming up every time I open. All new pages come up in a new tab with the existing one staying put.

This happens when I have multiple windows open. I have one window minimized on the task bar. I then launch a new firefox window and start surfing, opening multiple tabs in that window. Then I close that window. (My original window is still minimized in the taskbar). Now, I launch a new firefox window and the tabs that I had opened in the window I had just closed are all back.
If I close all windows and then launch firefox, it goes to my home page.
FYI, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.

I have always separated my movies into scenes as chaters so I can find things later, how can this be done now?
Also the Advanced settings allowed for picture in picture and other neat manipulations. Are these all gone?

Picture-in-Picture, Cutaways, Side-by-Side and Green-screen/Blue-screen effects are now known as Connected Clips. They are accessed in a different way in the new iMovie 10. See this Apple iMovie 10 Help topic for the full details:

On Mac OS X snow leopard, when I quit firefox 4, all the app tabs I set up get deleted. Is that suppose to happen? on your website it says that when you close firefox and reload the browser the app tabs should be there on start up?

When I close the firefox browser but I do not quit the program entirely, the app tabs remain as I had originally set them up.
But when I fully quit firefox. All the app tabs I set up are gone and I have to set them up all over again every time.

Here's what happened in safe boot mode.
I click on apple logo > software update > see's that Super Drive 3.0 is checked > click install
I wait for the install to go through.
First pop up says " There was a problem installing this update" Quit all apps before installing bla bla bla... I noticed a sound when this pop up appeared. It's the sound of when you restart the macbok. There is another popup behind this saying that software update has been sucessfully installed.
So what I did first was click "quit" on the popup saying "There was a problem installing this update".
then I clicked "ok" where it said that the software installation update was successfully installed.
I get another pop up which is the Software Update window. I let it look for any updates and it then says that my software is up to date. I noticed that Super Drive 3.0 is listed and cannot be checked [x]. There's a Check mark with a green circle around it.
I quit the software update window and click on apple logo > software update and let it do its thing. Next thing you know, It says that Super Drive 3.0 needs to be updated. I also checked the SERIAL ATA and still shows rev. CP06.
I just recently installed this mac os X so there is no "important" data on this laptop. I don't have any money for OS Lion or Mavrick nor meet the system req to run it. 2gb to 4gb is expensive for a ddr2 800 200 pin ram

Where is the AppleTV tab in iTunes10 Preferences?

I have two computers using my ATV -- one syncing (on a PB running iTunes9) and the other streaming (on a Mini running iTunes10).
Streaming was working fine until last night, when the 'streaming' lists only showed entries in my Movies and TV Shows lists from *April 2* (!!) and earlier -- but not the new things I had just put on iTunes for the night's viewing (or all the other shows added since April).
Other things on the ATV are working (e.g., YouTube) so I know there isn't a problem with the network. (Also, shows are still showing up fine on the PB/sync side, and I can add new things/sync from iTunes9.)
So I did some typical 'turn off/on' kinds of checking between the ATV and the Mini. Followed the ATV diagnostic suggestions. Etc. Then, when I got the new code from ATV to put into my computer, I could not find the place in iTunes 10 to put the code!! All the online instructions still say to use the ATV tab in iTunes Preferences (which is where it still is in iTunes 9). But ... nada for iTunes10!
How do I set up an ATV device under iTunes10 to connect (streaming or sync) to a computer?

I have rented and watched 4 movies which, though expired still appear in my video folder. I cannot watch them, but my ipad shows 4 videos in the "about" tab and shows several gigs of video used. How do I get rid of them and free up the memory?

I need to find a way to delete itunes rented movies that still seem to remain on my ipad after being watched. The ipad shows memory allocated to the video and counts them in the "about" tab of my settings. I can't watch them and cannot seem to delete them from the ipad or during sync.

I was watching the tutorial of Mike Powers for the Bayside Website and he continually uses the structure option under the insert tab. I can not find where this is at in all of Dreamweaver. Does anyone know where this is at?

Can not access the advanced settings via IP address WRT310N

Hello all,
I'm having trouble accessing my routers advance settings. The Easy Link Advisor works but as soon as I attempt to enter the router via the advanced setting explorer pops up with a "can not connect" and internet trouble shooting suggestions.
I'm trying http://192.168.0.1 which is where the advisor attempts to connect and 192.168.1.1 which was my default for my wrt54g.
Nothing seems to work - I have tries a hard reset of the router as well.
Any tips, suggestions?

In the easylink adviser i click on the WRT310N and choose advanced settings it opens up a a brouser window going to 192.168.1.1 and then takes me to a blank page.
i checked ipconfig and

the other 2 issues i get are clicking on change router password i get the error message

also when i click on wireless protection i get the same error message

Selecting Burning Tab In Advanced Preferences

Greetings!
When I select the 'Burning' Tab in 'Advanced' preferences, my PC locks up and this lasts for 20 minutes plus. The only option is to ctrl alt delete and force quit the iTunes app. I am selecting this tab because my iTunes 7.4.1 will not burn CD's. I had this problem in the past and corrected it by selecting a slower burn rate from the menu in this tab. How can I access this in preferences without iTunes freezing? Any help would be enourmously appreciated!

The Import settings button has moved in iTunes 8 to iTunes prefs -> General.
Click the *Import settings* button.
Set it as you want
When you right click a song, you can select *Create xxx version*, where xxx is what you have set in the *Import settings*.

Remote Desktop Settings missing from Remote Tab of System Settings

Good day, all. Please I need urgent help here. I have a problem using Remote Desktop.
My system is a 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate with SP1 preinstalled.
Let me give us a synopsis of the problem.
Since the system was purchased, I have never had to remote into it. But I have used it to remote desktop to other PCs (that is, I have never used
it has a host, only as a client). However, last week I decided to set it up so that I can remotely connect to it. I went to the Remote Tab in System settings, and I discovered the bottom half was missing - only Remote Invitation settings were displayed.
I searched the web to try to solve the problem myself. I could only come up with 2 causes, generally:
If the system is Home Premium or below, which is certainly not the case here. It is the Ultimate version I have.
Some people complained that they had the exactly the same problem after installing SP1, and that when they uninstalled it, the Remote Desktop settings in Remote Tab of System settings came back.
However, I can't uninstall SP1 since it came preinstalled, and then that is not an option for me, given it contains several security fixes and updates.
Also some people said
the problem was solved be re-entering a correct product key for Windows, and re-activating Windows (+reboot).
I have tried this but did not get the required help.
My system is fully updated with all Microsoft patches till date, which means I have RDP 8.0 and RDP 8.1 client installed.
I have also tried
re-registering the dll: (regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\remotepg.dll),
to no avail.
I have checked the registry settings, Windows Firewall and made sure the remote desktop services are running in services.msc.
All these I have tried.
As I said, I have no problem connecting as a client to other systems. The issue is connecting to this system, by setting RDP here, but the settings
are missing.
Please, what is the solution? I don't want a clean install, or anything that would require to start re-updating the system.
I prefer a direct tackle of this error
(Definitely, a windows component is corrupted).

Let’s uninstall the RDP 8.0 first, then check the result:
wusa.exe /uninstall /kb: 2592687
It would roll back to RDP 7.0.

Hello, here is my problem: reading your mozilla support, I learned how to make Firefox open links in Google results in the same tab, that's the way I like it, but I still like to have my YouTube windows pop-up in a new tab (I participate in one forum, when I come to the YouTube window in some topic, I usually click on a small right-down button "watch on YouTube", and that always opens video it in a new tab; all until latest few updates of Firefox). Can this issue be corrected in about:config feature, and how? Sorry if my English isn't so glorious.

Hello. I have just tried this add-on you suggested, and no change.
And no, there was no some other add-on before, not that I know about it. Mainly, I need this option while I'm on a forum (IP board powered), it is not really something so important, but it's neat function for me.
So, to be more detailed - I read a certain topic on this forum, and some of the posts from other members contain YouTube screens (looking same as on the original YouTube page), showing the frame of a video.
In earlier versions of Firefox, I used to click on a small YouTube logo button (right side, down, between "watch on full screen" and "watch later" buttons). Clicking on this button automatically opened new tab, leaving forum tab as it is, and in new tab original YouTube page, with that certain video. In the same time, in Google search page, when clicking on a link, all links were opening in the same tab.
Now, after some of the latest updates of Firefox, I noticed that some default settings were changed - in Google search, clicking on a link always opens a link in a new tab. I have found out here on your forum how to set this back in about:config feature, and now I have again that links in a Google results page are opened in the same tab (that's the way I like it).
But YouTube screens on this forum are now also being opened in the same tab, and that is what I don't like, and trying to change back.
So, what I need: all links to open in the same tab after clicking, as I have it now, and YouTube screens (e. g. on this forum) to be opened in a new tab (by clicking on a small YouTube logo ("watch this video on YouTube").
Pedantic I am, I know that, and I know that this may look silly to some people, but if there is a way to do something, please tell me.

My MAILTO problem was finally fixed on the June 29, 2012 Firefox version 14 beta 10 release.

Firefox is unable to open Facebook pages(not app pages) when opened in a new Tab. It works fine on the original tab though.

When I log into my facebook account, it loads up fine. However, if I try to open any facebook pages into a new tab, it fails to load. It doesn't seem to affect the original tab in which it was loaded. It also doesn't seem to affect Facebook app pages. I have tested this on IE without any problems. This only happened after a firefox update.
