Hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons until an appears. This should take about 8 seconds, and it reboots the phone. If it doesn't something is seriously trashed in your iPhone's memory.
You can then try a forced restore. Restart your computer, launch iTunes, put the iPhone in the cradle and hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons for a long time (20 seconds). This puts the phone in Recovery mode, and it should prompt you to restore the phone. -
Old ipod, can not get it to connect with itunes & i no longer have the computer it was once synced to. It will not allow me to do anything but turn it off & on.
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

i didn't close my mac air down properly and when i tried to use it, the screen was frozen. I turned it off and restarted it, and the grey screen with the apple logo appear and the circle just keeps spinning. Can you advise?

My iPhone 5 was distroyed so I replaced it with a new iPhone 5 yesterday. I did a restore from a backup that i had performed a week ago. When I tried to use the phone several of my apps would not let me in becuase they continually gave me a popup message "Connect to Itunes to use push notifications". I click ok and the popup comes back. I have shut my phone off several times. I have complete closed the apps several times. I have even deleted the apps from my phone and reinstalled. All to no avail. Please help - does anyone know how to fix this?
Yes - I connected my phone to my computer / Itunes and went into the apps section, but from there I have no idea how to manage the push notifications. I even tryied going into itunes that is installed on my phone. I still cannot find anyplace to manage these popups. I have also gone into settings - notifiations - and tried turning all notifications for these apps all off but that didnt work either. Any guidance is MUCH appreciated - Im not sure where to go from here.

This is a strange problem. I want to update my applications. But when I click on App Store, the page opens but that is as far as things go. The rotating circles simply goes round and round but does not sign me in. I can gat to my Apple account, but not to the App Store.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:

I need an application that will turn off my iPhone on the home screen just by a one click since my power button has sank and is no longer working--anyone have ideas?? I don't like having to use assistive touch and hit three buttons to lock my screen
No such app exisits or can exist. Apple doesn't allow 3rd party apps to access core functions of the phone. Time to get your phone replaced or repaired if assistive touch doesn't needs your needs.

When using iPhone with Ford Automobiles' SYNC, the connection drops each time the ignition is shut off. To restore, you must turn off the bluetooth on iPhone, then restart each time. Any suggestions?
There is an update avaialbe for Ford systems to correct bluetooth problems. You need to update your system.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Using the 5th generation iPod. Purchased it a few months ago before the new one was launched. Yes the workout randomly ends when I am no where near the time or distance I have programmed in. I keep tried to restart the workout and the same thing keeps happening over and over again.
