In Thunderbird, how do I change the date format for the column display?

I want the date to show as DD-MM-YYYY HH:MM AM/PM. Although this should be really obvious (and I know I've done it in the past), I can't find where to do this and can't find anything in Thunderbird Help on this, not even when I search "Thunderbird, change date format".

Thunderbird usually uses the computer date and time and settings.
I'm using Windows and notice that TB is using the short date format which I set up under Regional & Language Options.
Are you using the International settings or Date/Time settings?
It should pick up the settings from the 'International' or maybe its called now called 'Language & Text' setting.

I have a requirement which should fetch the datas given by user. The user parameter is the date. The date will fetch the amount of the customer code for that particular month based on the date upto given by the user of that financial year.

Yes this is possible.
In the BMM layer duplicate column which is to be formatted for different group of users. And pull it into the presentation layer.
Suppose Column 1 for the Group 1 users
and Column 2 for the Group 2 users
In the presentation layer, double click on the column and give permission for the column 1 for the group 1 users and group 2 users for column.
First create a report with all the desired columns with Administrator or Presentation Server Administrator Role. And format the columns according to the different group of users.
In, NQSConfig.ini change the parameter PROJECT_INACCESSIBLE_COLUMN_AS_NULL which is under security section. By default it is set to No. Set it to yes. And restart the services.
Now logon with the group 1 users and you can see only the column1 and when logged on with group 2 users, you can see the column2.
And will solve your problem.
Please let me know if you need step-by-step process for solving.

The language setting is related to the database user.

How can I permanently change the date format from the American format to the UK's without having to constantly change it manually every time I start a new spreadsheet?

This is my first mac so I'm still getting my bearings with it. I've only used Windows programmes before. I can't understand why it's so hard to change the date format of the cells in Numbers to keep it showing the UK format. The system preferences of the mac show that it's in the correct region and has the correct date but this doesn't seem to transfer into the Numbers program. I was very impressed with the mac until I discovered this. If anyone knows how I can get the date to stay in the correct format without having to go through the process of altering it in the cell inspector everytime then I would be very grateful.

Numbers & most apps, especially those from Apple, use the date format you have set in System Preferences > Language & Text > Region. You can then choose UK from the Region drop-down list. Mine says Custom because I've defined things further as in the second screenshot.

1. Open your form in FormsCentral
2. Clik on Options tab
3. Click on Language and Formatting and check out the selection for Form Language and make sure English (U.K.) is selected and the default date format should be day/month/year.

I have a startdate column in the db in the format May 5, 2001 12:39:00 PM, when I query it from a view in this way : SELECT startdate, ... FROM ..., it returns the format in the db,
However I have to do this SELECT
decode(startdate, null, 'NOT START'), startdate), ... the result is 5-MAY-01,
then I tried this to_char(startTime, 'Month DD, YYYY HH:MI: A.M.') the results become May 05, 2001 12:39:00 PM. (more space between month and day, and 05 instaed of 5)
Does anybody know how to fix this, so I get exactly what is in the db?

No matter what you do if you are storing a date in a column it will get stored in the Oracle's internal 7 byte date format.
The way you get it on retreiving it is as set by your date format. You can either change the default date format for the instance, the individual session or the individual SQL statement(in this case using to_char(date, 'format')).
If you want to store the date in a format you want to store you'll have to store it as char or varchar2.

When you do to_char() with 'month' oracle blank pads the month to nine characters, the same goes with day too. So to get rid of it you'll have to trim() the month. And if you want to get a single digit for date less than 10 instead of 0x you'll have to do a bit of extra jugglery using translate() or replace().

Did you get this iPhone from that someone else?
If so they should have released the iPhone form their account before giving it to you.
All purchases made with that account will be forever tied to it and will require it to update in the case of Apps.
If nothing has been purchased, you can go into Settings->iTunes & App Stores->Apple ID and sign out of their account there , and sign in with your own.

I have had Aperture 3 loaded on my computer for a while now. Never had any problems till tonight. Restarted my computer and went to open Aperture and a "warning" box poped up, There was an error opening the data base for the library /picture/aperture library ap library. Then a "quit" button.
What is going on and how can I open my aperture. I have pictures that need worked for clients. Help!

Date Format for the input Variable

Hi all,
I got an issue with Date format we enter in the input variable screen for the BEx Analyzer.
We have given a format of MM/DD/YYYY. But when the users accessed the report, it is not taking the format of the variable i.e MM/DD/YYYY but it is taking the format of the users system.
If the user's system format is DD/MM/YYYY, it is accepting the input inthe same format only.
Why this strange behaviour?
My questions are
Is the input for BEx system specific? or variable specific?

I think it is user specific... you can maintain the date format for user ....
Go to SU01 transaction or.. Go to SYSTEM -> User Profile -> Own data
Here in defaults tab you can see the date formet for user...

Your source video file is probably muxed.
Neither QT Pro or iTunes has the ability to successfully encode a muxed video file with audio. You'll end up with video and no audio.
See: iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files.
You'll need to use some other third-party software to do the conversion. There's a handful of software available. Just search the forums and you'll find many titles mentioned.
Try MPEG Streamclip.

How does one change the date format for PlayMemories Home folders?

I am using PlayMemories Home Version 2.0.00.11271 and have many folders within it which contain only photographs imported from my Sony DSC-H9. Unfortunately, PlayMemories Home insists upon dating all folders in a month/day/year manner; and this makes little sense if one wishes to have the folders listed in logical chronological order. How can I change the date format to year/month/day? Changing the name of each folder, one by one, will take a very long time! Your helpful advice in this matter will be greatly appreciated. I too thought that the folder naming format was obviously wrong and couldn't find a way to change it. I do agree that placing photos in folders according to when they were taken is a great idea. I had been considering writing some software to do just that. After discovering that PlayMemories does it, I had it re-import all my photos. Then I wrote a small Perl script to rename all of the folders into year-month-day format. Included here is the Perl script. It only acts on a single folder - use it on the root folder where all the PlayMemories folders are. It will rename all folders currently in a month-day-year format. I used it without problems but of course there is no guarentee that it is error free. This should work with any common version of Perl.
