In TOAD, Need to Enable DB Health check option

Hi,
I am using TOAD 10.1.1.8 DBA Suite.
As my TOAD DBA Suite, DB Health check option should be there under
Database -> Diagnose -> DB Health Check.
But its not showing this option.
Kindly guide me as How to enable DB Health check.

ASA Cluster interface health check

Hi,
when deploying four ASA firewalls in cluster mode, the health check monitoring cannot be customized like for Active/Passive setup?
For example, we don't want a FW member to leave the cluster if the management interface goes down.
Another example would be that all the interfaces in the FWs are port-channels, so we don't want to have a unit removed from the cluster because 1 physical interface has gone down, and all the port channel still up.
which are the commands to tune the interface health check when using four FWs in cluster mode?
Because we assigned port channels as the cluster interface, will a FW member not be removed until the Port Channel goes down or anytime a phyical interface goes down the cluster member will be removed?

By default in clustering healthchecking is enabled....
Below mentioned excerpt from cisco document will be helpful.
health-check
To enab;e the cluster health check feature, use the health-check command in cluster group configuration mode. To the health check, use the no form of this command.
health-check [ holdtime timeout ] [ vss-enabled ]
no health-check [ holdtime timeout ] [ vss-enabled ]
Syntax Description
holdtime timeout
(Optional) Determines the amount of time between keepalive or interface status messages, between .8 and 45 seconds. The default is 3 seconds.
vss-enabled
If you configure the cluster control link as an EtherChannel (recommended), and it is connected to a VSS or vPC pair, then you might need to enable the vss-enabled option. For some switches, when one unit in the VSS/vPC is shutting down or booting up, EtherChannel member interfaces connected to that switch may appear to be Up to the ASA, but they are not passing traffic on the switch side. The ASA can be erroneously removed from the cluster if you set the ASA holdtime timeout to a low value (such as .8 seconds), and the ASA sends keepalive messages on one of these EtherChannel interfaces. When you enable vss-enabled , the ASA floods the keepalive messages on all EtherChannel interfaces in the cluster control link to ensure that at least one of the switches can receive them.
Command DefaultHealth check is enabled by default, with a holdtime of 3 seconds.

Hi,
I agree with the previous reply. Building your own spell checker is just a waste of time. Google bar has a pretty nice spell checker with different language support.
Its best to use that.
If there are reasons why you don't want to use the said spell checker then in CRM_IC you will find two view for spell checker. You can add JavaScript or VB Script code to use word functionality and do the spell check. This would be the second best alternative.

if you want to enable or disable any option or field in SRM portal find the web component of the field by right clicking on it, Then enhance the web component and in the post exit of WDModify_view add the code for enabling or disabling the field.

Exchange 2010 Org Health check telling me I need Enterprise CALs, bug?

My new install of Exchange 2010 Enterprise organizational health check is telling me I also need Enterprise CALs for all of my test users. This does not seem right since I have not enabled any features listed as ecal features at http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/en-us/licensing-exchange-server-email.aspx#Exchange2010CAL
in fact the setup is a very basic one. The test users were migrated from an existing exchange 2007 server but again no enterprise features were enabled there. Is there a way to tell what it thinks I need enterprise CALs for? Is this a bug? I saw a notice that
the RTM version had counted the default exchange active sync policy as an ecal requirement but I figured this would have been fixed by now.

looks like it has reared its head in update rollup 8-v2 for sp3. Last year I was playing around with the archive mailbox to see if it was something we may want to implement. At the time our enterprise cal requirements went from 0 to 1 for the test system
I was using. This ended up being something we did not want to pursue at the time so I disabled the option on the account. Happened to run the organizational health link today and now it says that all accounts need enterprise cals. Did not appear to be an issue
in update 7.

Usually, the upgrade is verified by querying v$version and dba_registry, and verifying the number of invalid objects in the database. Also, you will have to access the application once the upgrade is done and see if you get any issues.

CSS and Oracle10gAS webcache health check

Both CSS LBR's HEAD and GET health check requests failed for http://ip.address.for.the.server/_oracle_http_server_webcache_static_.html, a magic URL from Oracle10gAS webcache that only resides in memory (no file exists on disk). But I can use browser or gui-less browser 'elinks' and access it via IP to that URL with no problem.
Has anyone here encountered this issue? Does anyone have solution for this?

I have a plug in called unity player 3.4 do I need it enabled, same thing with google update 1.3.21.69 on laptop running windows 7

I just bought my laptop & was checking add-on for updates all of the other plug ins updated, & I've installed all up to date, but not sure, I have no knowledge about if I even need to enable the- Unity Player 3.4.0.27242, ( I'm not a gamer) nor do I know what the Google update 1.3.21.69 is use for. Or can it be disabled as well?

The website administrator has to enable the permission for inserting HTML snippet, for your role, for the Insert HTML Snippet menu to be enabled. If you are the website administrator, you can follow these steps to enable the Insert HTML snippet menu item:-
Launch Contribute and select Edit -> Administer Websites, and select your website.
The Administration dialog for your website will be shown.
Select a role (for ex, Administrator), and click Edit Role Settings button.
The Edit Role Settings dialog will be shown.
In this dialog, select Editing from the left panel, and check the check box for 'Allow HTML Snippet Insertion'.

To check your model go to About This Mac (by clicking on the Apple icon, top left) and then select more info. If you wish to use mirroring you will need one from 2011 or later running OSX 10.8 or later. The alternative would be to use 3rd party software like Airparrot.

A likely cause of the first issue is that you are first closing all Firefox windows and then close the Firefox application.

Automatic connection "ping" / health check in TopLink JPA ?

Some days ago we experienced problems with our underlying Oracle database, so the DB server hat to be shut down and rebootet. The application server machine (running Apache Tomcat 5.5 on a Linux OS) which provides several web-applications that are using Toplink JPA were not restarted after the DB was up again.
We encountered several subsequent "connection reset" errors within the webapps which where produced by TopLink JPA. I'd assume that this comes from the underlying restart of the DB, which invalidated/closed TopLink's JPA connection.
is there any option e.g. to be set in persistence.xml to enable a Connection-"ping" or "health check" before TopLink JPA is using the connection?
e.g.
toplink.jpa.connection.ping = "select 1 from dual";

Hans,
There is nothing built in but you can use an ExceptionHandler to handle failures and re-connect connection. This is typically only an issue when using TopLink's internal connection pooling. It is more common in a container to use its data sources and rely on them to handle connection management.

Instance health check failing with errors

Hi
One of the instance showing " Agent connection is Instance is unavailable". How ever it is collecting and showing instance performance when I go to Performance pane.
When I check in emagent.trc file it is saying either agent/instance are running with different user than ORACLE or group not DBA.
Actually, in my case both are same.. l mean Oracle:dba.
I have bounce many times agent but no luck.
Your valuble comments helps greatly.

The scope of this note is limited to Agents 10.2.x monitoring Oracle Databases running on HP-UX.
By default, the Agent 10.2.x is collecting the Healthcheck metric every 15 seconds. This metric basically gives an indication whether the monitored database is up and running.
On some circumstances, the Healthcheck metric cannot be collected. This results in such entries being added every 15 seconds to the $AGENT_HOME/sysman/log/emagent.trc log file:

Solution
There are several steps to solve this problem:
1. If the Agent Release is 10.2.0.1 or 10.2.0.2, upgrade the Agent to 10.2.0.3 and follow the steps below.
2. For HP-UX 10.2.0.3 Agent, here are the instructions to fix the problem while keeping the Healthcheck metric enabled. This section takes place in the Agent Oracle Home.
2.1. Download Patch 5854190 from Metalink.
2.2. Setup the Agent environment and shutdown the Agent by doing:
