Notes have just disappeared and I NEED them urgently. I had begun to delete those I no longer needed and then this happened. Tried rebooting but no joy.

Right there with you, Kathleen. I noticed that my notes were duplicating themselves every single time. So, I accessed the "On My Mac" section and began deleting them in complete confidence that MobileMe would still hold them on the server, syncing them to my Mac and iPhone. Wrong. It did nothing more than delete all but seven of my notes, two of them being duplicates, and now I'm wondering where in the heck my freaking notes are! I'm a musician, and the Notes app is fantastic, when it decides to function properly. I write down so many different songs and ideas on a daily basis. We truly need a solution to this issue, and fast. This is unacceptable.

Set it up as new by going to Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content and Settings (which returns it to it's new out of the box condition), put your SIM in it and go through the activation screens. Be sure this is an AT&T phone though as AT&T phones are locked to only work on the AT&T network.

This is the error message I receive when I try to add my phone to my Mac for proximity / FaceTime audio calling. This feature worked until I changed my Apple ID. I have updated my Apple ID everywhere I can think of updating it. I've signed out of Apple ID on my Mac, deleted EVERYTHING (calendars, contacts, etc.), signed back in, etc. I've done the same with my phone, and even done a power-down / reboot and nada. I keep getting this message from the Mac.
I can't figure out where else I should look for my old Apple ID to be logged into anything or creating problems. I've gone over my iPhone and Mac and I'm at a loss. As an aside (and yes, wrong forum), have lost the ability to do SMS forwarding since the Mac no longer receives the code from my iPhone to allow this feature to work. This was lost after signing out of the Apple ID on my Mac this afternoon.
Bluetooth is turned on for both devices. Both devices are on the same WiFi network. Both devices otherwise appear to be working correctly with the exception of the problems I'm having with FaceTime and iCloud being signed into the same Apple ID (which they are).

(By the way, I should have pointed out in my earlier posting that I'm running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 on my Mac). I Just installed latest Yosemite update while my iPhone was switched off, and when my Mac restarted, the 'iPhone Cellular Calls' checkbox in the FaceTime preferences was checked and the problem was therefore solved. Switched on my iPhone, still fine. Relief.

If you go to settings- store - click on the ID and sign out. Then you can put in your apple id.

Unfortunatly the only way that you can get it off is to get the old user to input the password. You may need to contact that old user and see if he can put the old password in. hope this helps.

Without more information, I have to say it sounds like the phone you have was not legitimately unlocked, but had been hacked. Updating iOS will re-lock it to the original carrier.
ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it.
Where did you get the phone?

I believe that all iPhones, purchased in Egypt, from official sources, are sold as carrier locked. So, your phone was hacked by someone so you could use it in Germany. Sorry, but that's what happens to hacked iPhones.
No one here can help you, nor can/will Apple, and since none of the carriers in Egypt offer official unlocking, your choices are not good.

I *AM* signed into Facetime and iCloud using the same Apple ID. Why am I receiving this error all of a sudden? I make calls using my Mac and need this feature. I have tried disabling and re-enabling both over a dozen times. TRUST ME, it is NOT user error -- it is Apple releasing features before they are fully ready error!

On both devices, go to Settings>Facetime and turn off cellular calls.

I believe because you migrated from a Nokia to an iPhone you need to register the Bn phone number with your Apple ID so it can be used for iMessage. The Pn number seems to be the only one registered

Removing data is all or none, and "forgetting" to do so before selling your phone is no "small thing" - it's like selling your purse with your wallet and credit cards still inside.
So I am afraid you were not very helpful!
Every day there are posts from people with obviosly found or stolen iPhones who mysteriouly "forget" their passcode (or forget to obtian it from the prior owner) and who somehow don't have access to the computer the phone was synced with, looking for help to gain access to the phone. I'm not interested in helping others boost iPhones.
