In v3.6.13 option steetings not remembered at next start-up, reverts to "as installed", is there a fix?

1. I customise toolbar to small icons and add printers, tabs & bookmarks. When I next log-in, the changes revert to "as installed", ie they are no longer there.
2. When bookmarking a site I am not offered the option of putting it in a folder.
I have this problem on two computers, is it a problem with the 3.6.13 revision?

Perhaps your system registry is write-protected or otherwise damaged. Or you may have an incompatible plug-in installed that damages the registry, in which case [http://www.mozilla.com/pl/firefox/?ref=logo Firefox] needs to use factory settings.

Are you sure the Bookmarks you important are nowhere to be found? They should be stored in your bookmark manager, somewhere. To access the bookmark manager, go into ''Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks...''. Try searching there.
You can change their place from there too.

Folder options are not remembered.

I have time capsule and my network computers set to always open in list view. Problem is, sometimes they do and sometimes they don't, normally defaulting to grid view.
It's irritating and should be fixed by now.

There is a hidden Finder preference that does or does not save Finder attributes on network volumes. I don't know how to set it using Terminal, but you can use a free program called TinkerTool to set it.

On the program's Finder screen, there is a preference check box called "Don't create hidden .DS_Store files over a network connection." Checking this box will prevent network volumes from remembering the Finder's view setting. Try checking it, then use the Relaunch Finder button. Then set it back to not checked and relaunch Finder again.

When I go to a signin page of a website the remember passwrd button will not allow me to click on it in Firefox 11, the button pops up but is not active. the same site works fine in chrome. Is there a fix for this?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

It is possible that there is a problem with the files key3.db and signons.sqlite that store the encrypted names and passwords in Firefox. 
Rename the files key3.db and signons.sqlite in the Firefox profile folder. 
You can add .old to the file names (key3.db.old and signons.sqlite.old) or move them to another folder to make it possible to undo the action. 
You need to set a new Master Password after renaming or deleting key3.db and all currently saved passwords are lost. 
If that has worked then you can remove the renamed files that are no longer needed.

Adobe Cloud window and adobe air not showing up or starting even though it is installed, i have tried reinstalling/uninstalling

I downloaded muse cc 2014. It worked fine for a while (couple of bugs though). Yesterday it would crash whenever it was launched. So i tried to uninstall and re-install. No Luck. Then noticed adobe cloud/adobe air windows were not starting up as per usual on startup and i have been through pc to try to locate and start manually. No Luck with them either, so i have been trying re-download manually, i download the CC exe and try run it from c:drive but no response - not running.
i have tried a restore and that hasnt helped. I have uninstalled all muse versions but now cant re-download it!?

I upgraded to Firefox 8.0 and java script no longer works. I set the options to allow java script in the tools/options to allow java script but it still doesn't work. Are there any fixes?

I support several web sites that I developed for clients and I use java script to manage/show slide shows. After upgrading to 8.0 my scripts don't load. When I click on preview on my web development tool my page will not load the java script - nothing shows on te screen. All used to work OK and still works in IE.

However, no Divx 5 Component but I did have a Divx Decoder Component and a Divx 6 Decoder Component, so I tried what you suggested anyway with those but to no avail.

Not able to activate FlashBuilder 4.7 after first install - got "There was an error ... try again ."

Yesterday I bought FlashBuilder 4.7 Standard.
I'hd installed it on my Windows 8 Laptop and on my Windows 7 Station (with Home Premium) - both 64 Bit.
After giving my serial number, the setup installs the whole FlashBuilder and it works fine.
But only on my pc with windows 7, I could not activate the software inside the FlashBuilder dialog.
It asks for my email and my personal password and ... I got 50 times the same error:

So I try many times to:
- deinstall all adobe software
- make a registry recreation
- make a recovery of my pc 3 days back
- download the adobe cleaner tools and try them

I would also recommend checking the installation logs for the updates you are attempting to apply for errors. Firefox 5.01 will play QuickTime movie and audio clips once, but then will not be able to repeat the movie or audio clip again after it initially plays. This did not happen in earlier versions of Firefox before 5. Is there a fix?

While this may work with audio and video originating from your own computer it doesn't seem to effect audio and video viewed from the Firefox 5.01 browser which uses a QuickTime plugin. Audio and Video viewed from Safari and Firefox 3.6.19 work fine which leads me to believe the QT plugin and Firefox 5 browser are not working correctly.

I have tried to fix it by deleting the trash / deleted files as suggested in another thread but it made no difference. The delete key still works to delete things outside of Thunderbird (including here for example).
I have not uninstalled / reinstalled. I have rebooted a couple of times and it hasn't made any difference.
I did go through and delete a huge number of old emails a few days ago, but I have cleared out the Deleted folders and it made no difference.

Right click on any of the other right panel headers in Slideshow module to open the context menu. You should be able to reactivate the Options panel from there.

Sorry no, if you don't knnow the encrypted password, then you can't use that backjup.

Do you mean names and passwords in the Password Manager or do you mean that you are no longer logged on to (remembered by) websites after closing and restarting Firefox?
If the latter happens then you have a problem with cookies that are not kept or the file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie that you must allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions"
Make sure that you do not use [[Clear Recent History]] to clear the 'Cookies' and the 'Site Preferences'.
Make sure that you not run Firefox in [[Private Browsing]] mode.
In Private Browsing mode some menu items are disabled (grayed) and some features like visited links and others are disabled and not working.
You are in Private Browsing mode if you see "Tools > Stop Private Browsing".

Firefox 24 - options not remembered from session to session

When I upgraded to Firefox 24, all of the option settings from v23 reset to the defaults. I put them back the way I had them before, but after restarting the browser, everything defaulted as before. I am running NoScript, and any changes to its rules are also lost when I restart the browser. I've restarted several times. with and without system restarts, and the results are always the same.
History and passwords seem to be updated and maintained across sessions. The problem is with configuration data for Firefox and NoScript.
I am running XP SP3 with 2 user accounts. One is an administrator account that I use only for system maintenance, and the other is a limited account where I do most of my work. The admin account, where I installed v24, remembers configuration changes between sessions; the problem is with the limited account, which is the one I care about.
I've checked the profile in use for the limited account, and the files have current update stamps in the \limited user\application data\mozilla folders, so it doesn't look like an authorization problem. This folder now contains 86 numbered prefs- files of which all but 3 have today's maintenance date, but the prefs.js file shows yesterday's date, before I upgraded versions.
There are also 25 numbered sessionstore- files, all of which have old dates, but the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files show as current.
Any suggestions?

Following the instructions, it looks like the prefs file for the limited account was corrupted in the upgrade to Version 24. I have deleted it, and the problem is solved.
