In Version 7.1.1. Why is there a delay playing songs in iTunes?

I am an older working musician. This is my 1st iPad (Ver.7.1.1) which I bought specifically to play MP3 drum tracks in my trio. I purchased NextSong and Go Button and am trying to use an AirTurn bluetooth foot pedal to trigger some of the songs. NextSong, a great little app, is basically a controller for iTunes which contains all of my MP3s (originally produced on Alesis SR16/18 machines and recorded). I also loaded all of my MP3 drum tracks separately into Go Button which is a theatrical music/cue controller. I have two issues with playback (in either program) even without using the AirTurn pedal:
1) When the track is played there is a ramp up in volume at the beginning. It is probably around 250 milliseconds. May not sound like big problem but it is. Most of my tracks start with four drum stick clicks (imitating a live drummer) and when you can't hear the first drum click we don't start together.
2) There is delay from the moment I hit start and when the track actually starts playing (this is even evident in iTunes itself). It isn't a consistent amount of time even on the same track played, let's say, 3 times in a row. Sometimes it's 100 milliseconds but sometimes longer even on the same track. This is critical if I'm trying to start a drum track in the middle of the song (and the reason I bought the AirTurn pedal). I had a lot of correspondence with the programmer of NextSong and it seems to him that it was a problem with this latest iPad/iTunes version.
I've been all over Settings but can't find anything that may correct the problem. Any suggestions?

I think there is a problem. I dont get the noises on each song even though that happened to me on a previous update but rather than being a sporadic click it was a very loud hiss over every single track...
The latest problem with my copy is that the songs are only playing out of one speaker and its not even the centre speakers, its the left speaker.
The last time itunes didnt work properly it took apple around a week or so to correct so im not worried at the moment but i have to use windows media player in the mean time which I dont like to use.

Why can't I download and play songs on iTunes from iCloud if I purchased Match?

I want to play songs on my desktop from iTunes. However, I can't click on the cloud symbol and download them onto my PC...I just get a "!" out to the left of the song. I have no problem downloading the songs from the cloud and playing them on my iPhone.

A little more background. I've had iTunes Match for well over a year and I didn't have this issue until just recently. Things that have changed recently:
I got a new iPhone (not my choice...company move). I purchased a lot of my old music on the old iPhone. The new iPhone has 8GB storage. The old iPhone had 16GB of storage. I had 13GB on the old phone. A lot of stuff, therefore, didn't transfer to the new phone after backup. However, keep in mind, it's not just the music that I purchased on the old iPhone that is "greyed out" and unavailable, it's music that I have stored on my personal lap top at home, too. Also please keep in mind that some of the music that I purchased on my old iPhone *is* playable/available on my desktop.
I recently renewed iTunes Match.
I don't knowingly have any music stored on the HDD of the computer in question, it is my work computer (i.e. I have never purposely downloaded a song or purchased a song on my work computer). The big question here is *why* can I download music from the cloud and play it on my new iPhone but can't download the very same song and play it on my work computer via iTunes? There are cloud symbols beside the songs on both devices...when I click on the cloud symbol on my iPhone, it downloads it or streams it if I click play...can't do either on iTunes on my desktop for the same exact song.

I just bought a iphone 5 and the phone tells me it needs itunes 10.7 or later to sync with my imac.
There is no software updates available for my imac os x or itunes so i can sync the iphone 5 with my imac.
Is there any available else where ?

The progress bar show in the iTunes Miniplayer in previous versions was extremely practical and useful instead of having the entire window open or flipping between spaces, especially when multitasking on one space. Please update this ASAP! I have no idea why or how this was avoided!

What makes -- that is, made -- the iTunes MiniPlayer truly useful was having a tiny window that's always visible regardless of the application you're using, that allows you to see and control track progress and volume along with the other key useful info and controls.
Having to open a secondary window -- one that takes up much more screen real estste and doesn't even stay on top, and forces you to click or hover to see the progress bar -- to find one of these missing functions defeats the whole point of the MiniPlayer, which is to be convenient, visible and quick.
Apple, please fix this. Some of the new functions are pretty cool, but you inadvertently killed the MiniPlayer's key functionality in the process.

The message is quite clear. The size of the iTunes library is larger than the space available on the device.
Stop attempting to sync the entire library to the device.
Select the desired content to sync to the device.
Sync.

Why is there no now playing list?

Let's say I'm making a playlist and I've added a few songs from Nirvana to it. I browse to the Foo Fighters and add a couple songs. I remember there was a song I liked from the Nirvana, but I can't remember if it's already on the list.
I then have to open the list, look, realize it's not there, then go back to Nirvana, add it, then go back to Foo Fighters. This would all be solved if I could just have a temporary playlist window. Most other MP3 player programs have this feature... why doesn't iTunes?

That's what iTunesDJ playlist is for.
You can add, delete and change song order around.
It is a "Now playing" playlist.
Double click it to open it in a new window.
Selct songs in the regular window then drag them to the iTunesDJ window or right click - Add to iTunes DJ or Play next in iTunesDJ.
Select the iTunesDJ window and you can drag songs up or down in any order or delete them from the playlist.

Why is there an awful Nickleback song on my IPhone?

How do I delete this song? It's the same case as the U2 album forced upon IPhone users. It plays itself in the middle of my music playlist, it does not show up in iTunes on my computer, and there's no delete option on my iPhone. The support link to get rid of the U2 album worked well, and after that whole fiasco, my question is why did Apple do the same thing twice?

No, it isn't. Apple has no promotion with Nickelback. Contact iTunes Support to see about having it removed: https://getsupport.apple.com/Issues.action or log into your account via iTunes on a compute and hide it.

Why is there a delay when I try to unlock my ipod touch?

When I am listing to music, and I try to unlock my ipod touch (when I slide the bar over to unlock) there is a delay and the lock screen stands by for a few seconds longer than it should. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Try a Reset...
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Why is there a delay after clicking any button when publishing to iOS?

When I publish to HTML5, the app seems to run fine on my PC via a web browser. However, when I submit for iOS there is a very noticable delay after clicking any button. It takes at least 1-2 seconds for the next slide or object to appear. This might make it difficult to get the app approved when I'm finished. Please let me know if there is a workaround for this.

I'm using buttons to Jump to Slide or Go to Next Slide. I am also using buttons to show/hide using advanced actions (under Easy to Use -> Easy Widgets). Pleaes let me know if you have suggestions for resolving the lag.

Ok, I'm writing this because I spent a lot of time trying to figure out a way to do
a unified inbox for Outlook 2010. I will give out a simple 3 step workaround and then one that is a little more elaborate.
First let's agree that Unified Inbox is no more than a particular "VIEW" of your Inbox mails
on different account. So this is the same as querying your inboxes. So we can resolve this by doing a simple global query:
Workaround Solution:
1) Press Ctr+Alt+A
2) Type the following in the search box: folder: (Inbox)
received: (this week)
3) Hit enter and you should see your Unified inbox for all mails received this week.
A more elaborate solution to automate this is to do a Macro. Won't go into how to do this,
but this is the code you need:
1) This is the code for a UNIFIED INBOX:

Dim myOlApp As New Outlook.Application
txtSearch = "folder:Inbox received: (this week)"
myOlApp.ActiveExplorer.Search txtSearch, olSearchScopeAllFolders

Have you tried adjusting the "Audio Out" and the "Dolby Digital" settings in settings > audio and video? It may be worth trying several combinations of these settings, although typically it is the "Dolby Digital" setting that causes most problems for users.
If you are using a sound system/receiver, make sure that you have correctly mapped the input port on your sound system to the output, if you are unsure about how to do this, refer to the manual that came with your sound system.
Have you tried playing various content sources (i.e. podcasts, music, iTunes Store video, other video etc), do you have the same problem with all types of content? If you use optical you might also check that you can see a red light at the end of your optical audio cable. Is your optical audio cable plugged straight into your sound system, or does it go through a switch or other device?
