In what ways will Creative Cloud subscribers benefit from Adobe's purchase of Fotolia?

I read an article linked below on Adobe's purchase of Fotolia and initially was excited.  But as I continued reading, I found that Fotolia is not planned to be a free service to Adobe Creative Cloud subscribers. Subscriber will have to pay for images and video just as they would with any other stock image/video service.  My question is, as an Adobe Creative Cloud user, why would I cancel my current stock image/video service and decide to use Fotolia?
Thank you for taking the time to address my concern.
Adobe to Acquire Fotolia: Adds Stock Content Marketplace to Creative Cloud

I would guess that maybe there will be integration between CC’s new Library function and Fotolia’s systems, perhaps Adobe wants to use their content management to actually host CC’s library content or maybe they just want Fotolia images to show up in the CC Library area.  Or maybe there won’t be any integration and they are just diversifying their revenue stream.

  • How will the scheduled changes in DPS affect Creative Cloud Subscribers effective May 01, 2015?

I would think that with Adobe's public announcement to retire DPS SE, the company would have the courtesy to inform its Creative Cloud subscribers, who seemingly will be affected, of the impact the change will have on them. I am calling on Adobe to address its customers concerns without further delay.

Here are two threads to look at:
The end of DPS Single Edition
What is going on with DPS?
Single Edition, SE, apps are available to CC members until 1 May 2015. These apps will remain on the App store but will be unable to be updated after 1 May 2015. That means they will not run on any new version of iOS.
There is now one DPS license. Pricing is done on a per client basis. Click the request for consultation link in Digital Publishing Suite Help | DPS pricing options to receive a price estimate for your projects.
The alternatives to using DPS are using a competing product (outlined in the threads above), using a tool such as PhoneGap (html5, css, javascript hybrid app) or Appcelerator Titanium (native development), learn/hire/contract a developer for native development, and fixed-layout epub.
Others have suggested partnering with someone who was a top tier license to continue to keep your apps current.

  • Is there a way to access the "Creative Cloud Clipboard" repository outside Adobe Line/Sketch Apps?

Is there a way to access the "Creative Cloud Clipboard" repository outside Adobe Line/Sketch Apps?
For instance via (macbookpro) web, local directory (CC desktop), or mobile web? As opposed to Utilizing the feature purely in Adobe line/sketch?
I mean... I know i could just take screen shots... via the iPad's protocol. However, that would defeat the purpose of creative cloud.
The point of accessing the creative cloud clipboard, is so that I can create Time-Lapse .GIF's of my drawings, Using the "timeline" feature (undo)....which is amazing feature btw.
Honestly the solution for me... would be to have an option to export a .GIF (animated), .tiff sequence, or video file (m4a mov). I would say export options would be 1. File Size & Type (Context...) 2. Detail, # of Slides (How long is your timeline, what do you want to show, what level of detail?) 3. Share (Behance, Creative Cloud Files, MMS, iMessage, etc... 4. Open in... Photoshop, Aftereffects etc...
I think this would be great for..tutorials, multi-media, prototyping (wireframes, character design, etc). So, i'm not saying this should be a heavy set...focal point of the application, after all an animation app all itself would be nice. However, I think a feature like an "interactive timeline" would push users to be even more creative, by hacking, creating ghetto rigged *** backwards ways of prototyping that...actually might be more convenient. This is the story Adobe is trying to tell, the story of process, whats in your head... in the moment. Thats why behance is integrated, because process & feedback + exposure are essential to developing as a creative, so Adobe has put together a great platform...for its users. So, yeah...Adobe.. here's your chance to gain a greater insight into creative process, and integrate it directly into the creative cloud platform. I think it would be huge for Ink & Slide , Behance, and Student-Teacher / Designer- Company relationship.
"Share | Project Timeline "  "Intervals | # of images"   "Crop | Length (time)"   "Crop | Project Area (artboard?)"
Yeah this question took a left turn...but hey.... either or.
    EDITS............
***You can copy images to creative cloud files....via the share function in ADOBE SKETCH... thats how I made the .gifs im going to attach.***
***However, in ADOBE LINE, if you try to copy multiple images of the same project, they do not receive unique filenames, thus replacing all images in the saved sequence****

First, to answer your initial question - no there is no way to access the clipboard content outside of the apps at this time.
The idea of exporting a timelapse is very interesting, and something we have been thinking about, but there are already some decent ways to do this. Check out this video of a drawing in Line created by Brian Yap Adobe Ink and Adobe Line Illustration - YouTube
You can create this kind of video using several of the available apps that let you display your iPad screen on your computer using Airple. Some examples are Reflector http://www.airsquirrels.com/reflector/ and AirServer http://www.airserver.com/

  • What kind of web hosting is included with a Muse subscription? [was: What comes with Creative Cloud package?]

I was watching Tutorial videos on Muse and learned that we get free domain names and 20 gigs of online space?  Does that mean I no longer need to host with godaddy to create my webpages?
I know what softwares I get with it, but unsure about what the total package of Creative Cloud Pro is?
If this means I can cancel GoDaddy Hosting, then I'd love to be able to do that.
    Thanks
    Andy

Cloud members get 5 webBasics accounts with Adobe Business Catalyst. They have limitations but they may work for you if you're using Muse.
    Try

  • When will Creative Cloud apps be available for Android?

When will Creative Cloud apps be available for Android?

Well that's fine, but Adobe generally doesn't read this forum, and "feature requests" don't belong in this forum either.
    Feature requests belong here: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family
By the way, I'd be willing to bet a huge amount of money that Adobe already knows there is demand for Android support, they're not totally clueless there even though some people think they are clueless

  • I keep getting a download error that says Creative cloud cant connect to Adobe servers, what do I do?

This is my second time getting this message. I downloaded Creative Cloud in the past and it never worked. I just tried again same thing.
I've disabled my firewalls even! Nothing works. What is going on??

WhiplashDobie are you on a managed network?  If not then please see Error downloading Creative Cloud applications - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/error-downloading-cc-apps.html for information on how to resolve the current error.

  • Will creative cloud work via a proxy server

We use a proxy server for all our internet connections. Will creative cloud work via a proxy server?

Hi - I'm i  a similar position to the OP, we've bought a cc2014 individual licence but I work in a government organisation with proxy server and strong firewall and we can't download even the desktop manager. When I spoke to support they said it was unlikely I'd be able to get it to work through our system, and even if we upgraded to a teams licence we'd still have a problem as the indidual computers would still need a clean connection through to the adobe servers to activate.
The document linked only talks about the Packager and the Teams/Enterprise licence, so is there just no solution for anyone with a single licence that has to work via a proxy server? Would a Teams licence solve these problems?

    Hi Alicinki.com,
Thank you for posting and letting us know. I know we are making it as widely available as possible but don't believe there is any kind of schedule for when it will be available where.

  • When will Creative Cloud apps be optimized to take advantage of the 2013 Mac Pro?

When will Creative Cloud apps be optimized to take advantage of the 2013 Mac Pro?

Yes, they all should if it's Peer to peer, or if any Router, Swith, Hub in the mix also supports GigE, & Jumbo Packet support is a big plus, but Computer to Compter should work with Jumbo Packets methinks.

  • Creative Cloud icon disappeared from Apple Tool Bar after I installed some CC updates. Does somebody know what the problem can be?

Creative Cloud icon disappeared from Apple Tool Bar after I installed some CC updates. Does somebody know what the problem can be?

I had a similar issue. I closed the Cloud icon, and when I went to open it again, it just died.
I uninstalled Adobe Creative Cloud, went to the Adobe CC download page and requested a trial copy of PS, being sure to enter my CC name and password.  It then reinstalled Adobe Creative Cloud, and all is working again (I hope).

I've just been offered the first iphone (1st Generation) which was released some time ago, in which and what way will I be underhanded as the price range is very handsome.

You will get no use out of this phone and wont be able to use itunes either
I don't know why you say that. Many people are still quite happily using first-generation iPhones. They are very limited in the carrier support - EDGE only as Tim said - and the apps available are few now, but the phones still work and serve their original purpose.
That said, I certainly wouldn't buy one. Used iPhone 3G and even 3GS units are available quite affordably and are much more flexible.

  • How do I unsubscribe from Adobe Creative Cloud and cancel my Adobe ID? I tried going to "Cancel my membership" on their site but it just takes me in a full circle and I end up back at "Cancel my membership" again.  Is this a ploy to not let go of potentia

How do I unsubscribe from Adobe Creative Cloud and cancel my Adobe ID? I have tried numerous times going to "Cancel my membership" on their site but it just goes through several steps and ends up where I began (i.e. Cancel my membership). Why is it so difficult to unsubscribe? Thks for any advice. Lavandula

Adobe contact information will not help You. The Finnish sites are making the same loop. The worst thing is that they have send me e-post telling that my membership will continue after first year automatically with 60 % higher price. I don't need do anything I will not continue the membership. It seems impossible to end it. The onlys solution seems to be close the credit card.
