r u sureThose extra four letters would have been hard to type in, right? Punctuation helps too. I'm pretty sure that the time it took you to think of that witty abbreviation was longer than it would have taken you to type:
Are you sure?
ps. Why is the word for abbreviation so long?

  • Object variable help - Note 1131320

    Good Morning experts!
    I've had a situation where an install was done and when modifying an application in the admin console, we get an error with object variable or object not set.  While searching the notes, I found note 1131320 that states that you should replace the admin templates under webfolders.
    I did that.  However, there's a step that it asks you to do that I'm not very familiar with.  Step 5 states to publish all reports.  Anyone know how to do that off the top of their head?  I could figure it out over the weekend, but we have some deliverables that are being held up!
    Your help is greatly appreciated!
    Barton

    The note you reference was posted for updgrades from versions 5.X to 5.1 SP1 and I wondered if you had upgraded to version SP3 instead of 1.  The process that the team suggests should have included the following:
    You have to go through the Web Admin interface to Publish All Reports.
    1. Enter the BPC Admin Web interface
    2. Under Web Admin Task Click Publish Reports
    3. Select all of the reports and click the green check mark to publish the reports.
    This then pushes the new templates for use in the web interface. Hope this helps.

  • Object variable not set (Error 91) in Input Enabled query

    Hello,
    I'm having the following issue.  I have created an input enabled query and included it in a planning workbook.  Every time I open the workbook or query, and I got to an input enabled cell, I get the error below:
    Object variable not set (Error 91)
    This client has not used planning workbooks before.  The system is on 7.10 SP10 for Bex Analyzer and SAP Gui 7.10 Patch Level 13.
    I'm not finding any relevant so far in SDN.  Any help anyone can provide is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Senthil

    Hello,
    Just wanted to let you all know that this issue has been resolved after updating my SAP Gui to 7.2 Patch Level 4 (Patch Level 5 was causing some other issues so I decided to stay at Level 4).
    Thanks,

  • Error: Object variable or With block variable not set.

    Hi,
    when i try to fill the control tables and browse for the target period in HFM (sys 9.3.1) i get the error: Error: Object variable or With block variable not set.
    When browsing for the target value in the location for the value no problem occurs.
    Anybody a clue?

    Hi SAP collegues,
    At my site, BPC Excel created this problem too "Object Variable or With Block Variable not set" .
    It turned out that this is symptom of a a dys-functioning BPC COM Plug-in in XL2007 or XL2010!
    This is a consequence that your Excel recently crashed while using BPC. And it relates to an Excel Add-in becoming disabled when the applications crashes.  Please check the following.
    Note before doing the following, close all other open Excel and BPC sessions.
    Within Excel go to File à Options
    Select the Add-Ins option on the left
    Select the <<COM Add-ins >> option in the Manage drop down, and click Go
    Make sure that the Planning and Consolidation option is selected.  If not, mark this box and click OK.
    If you do not see anything listed, return to the Add-in screen and select the Disabled Items option, and see if Planning and Consolidation is listed there.
    Let me know if you have any queries,
    Kind Regards,

  • Data transfer schedule run error-object variable/with block variable no set

    I want to automate a Data Transfer Workbench routine.
    I created the appropriate xml file but when I run the .bat file I get the following error: "Object variable or with variable not set."
    I think that the problem resides in the xml file but there is no documentation for the xml syntax so it's impossible to correct it.
    thanks in advance

    Solved.
    The problem was in the .bat syntax.
    At the -s option the filename doesnt need quotation marks.

    I had 2 MobileMe email addresses, but only went thru iCloud process with one (my main address). Now the secondary address is not working with iCloud. Did I have to go thru the process with each address? Can I still get that secondary address to work with iCloud?

    It was totally separate. I just now went back to a previous email from Apple to that secondary address which urged me to transition to iCloud. I followed the link and it prompted me thru the process and the address is now able to send/receive emails. Thanks.

    I have tried to change my User id which is an email address I no longer want to use. Now I am constantly getting requests from icloud and Apple ID for my password and cant get into my icloud account.

    To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use.  If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

    I linked my outlook express with icloud, not realizing it would change my outlook express contacts.  I deleted email addresses from my iphone, not wanting them there which in turn deleted them from my PC.  Is there any way to get these addresses back? Seems I no longer have an outlook contacts list.

    It's Outlook, not Outlook Express (different program) and if you have now deleted them from iCloud and do not have a backup they are gone.

    Best way to do a Object which holds a collection of another object type. The best place for data in a database is.. no real surprise.. in tables. If that data is temporary of nature, global temporary tables cater for that.
    Storing/caching data using PL/SQL requires very expensive private process memory (PGA) from the server. This does not scale.
    I'm writing a caching object to store another object. Irrespective of how l33t your haxor skillz are, you will not be able to code as a sophisticated, performant and scalable PL/SQL data cache, as what already exists (as the database buffer cache) in Oracle.
    The cache is only valid for a session, so I want a store the data in a nested table.Not sure how you take one (session local data) to mean the other (oh, let's use a nested table).
    Session local data can be done using PL/SQL static variables. Can be done using name-value pairs residing in a context (Oracle namespace). Can be done using a global temporary table.
    The choice is dependent on the requirements that need to be addressed. However, the term +"caching+" has very specific connotations that say that a global temporary table is likely the best suited candidate.

  • Please help: Get IP address of a remote device (wifi kit) from DHCP router

    Hi ppl,
    I am about to get the IP address for the wifi kit which is connected to the same router with my PC.
    I need to control my wifi kit through TCP client communication, but DHCP tends to assign new IP address to my wifi kit when connected to router.
    Hence, i wish to write a java function to trace the IP address before starts the communication.
    I am thinking to get the wifi kit's IP address based on the Hostname (name of the wifi shield):
    As below:
    InetAddress thatIp = InetAddress.getByName("Wiznet");
    System.out.println("IP E:"+thatIp.getHostAddress());
    But i don't think this is secure..
    I attempt to research for getting IP address with MAC..
    But have ambiguity on the result i found.
    It stating i have to get the ARP table from router but it is not a good approach.
    I have no luck for next finding on how retrieving the table with Java.
    Hereby hope to have your advise how can i get the ip address of my wifi kit in a more dynamic and secure method..
    is it using Hostname or MAC address or else...
    many thanks.

    hi... wish to have your advise again.
    I tried to retrieve the arp table in java and attempt to extract the IP address based on MAC address for particular devise.
    But i stuck with the substring... my code is as below:
    Process result = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("arp -a");
         BufferedReader output = new BufferedReader
                   (new InputStreamReader(result.getInputStream()));
         String line = output.readLine();
         while(line != null){
              if ( line.startsWith("default") == true ){
                   System.out.println("is default");
                   break;
         line = output.readLine();
         String ipAdd = line.substring(0, 18);
         String MACAdd = line.substring(24, 42);
         System.out.println(line.length() + " " + line + " " + ipAdd + " " + MACAdd );
    i m trying to sub the IP and MAC accordingly.. but i got error saying
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.StringIndexOutOfBoundsException: String index out of range: 42
         at java.lang.String.substring(Unknown Source)
         at ExecTest.main(ExecTest.java:22)
    i dun understand this! as since the length of LINE is 56 , why STRING INDEX OUT OF RANGE happen?!
    please advise!!!

  • Client unable to get IP address on guest wlan

    Hi all,  I recently setup a 2504 WLC that has two primary WLANs (internal and guest) which get their IP addresses from a central DHCP server using the local router's broadcast forwarding.  Things seem to be working well for the internal wlan, but clients on the guest wlan don't seem to be getting IP addresses.  If I give the client a static IP they are able to communicate across the wlan okay.
    It is worth noting that I am using LAG between the controller and router and this guest wlan is really just a regular wlan (with PSK) that has an access-list applied to force it to the internet only.  The access-list should be allowing dhcp requests through, but in any case, I removed the access-list and it made no difference.
    Here is a debug client for a machine connected to the guest vlan (vlan 33).  The internal wlan is on the 10.10.10.0/24 network (same as wired and same that the AP's are connected to) and the guest wlan is 10.33.0.0/16.     I don't understand why I am seeing the dhcp request come from the internal vlan/wlan first and it gets an IP address on this network.  I then see a request on the guest wlan/vlan at which point it appears to get a valid IP address on the guest network (10.33.0.0), but the client never sees this.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Bryan

    One way to test also is to connect a laptop to a port assigned for the guest vlan. If the device gets an IP, then it's something on the WLC you have to configure. If the device doesn't, then it's a network issue or dhcp server issue.

    Hi All,
    We are working on FDM version 11.1.1.3 with Essbase as a target system.
    To automate the data load process, we are loading the batch loader feature.
    I have taken the backload script from admin guide and it is working fine in our test environment.
    When, I am trying to use the same script in our QA environment, we are getting the below error message-
    Error: An error occurred running the script:
    *91 - Object variable or with block variable not set*
    At Line: 24
    QA environment has same version as Test environment (11.1.1.3). In QA, it the same script which I am using in Test environment.
    Please help us on this issue. Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    As suggested by you, I have placed the code given by you and now my scripts looks like-
    'Declare Local Variables
    Dim lngProcessLevel
    Dim strDelimiter
    Dim blnAutoMapCorrect
    Dim BATCHENG
    Set BATCHENG = CreateObject("upsWBatchLoaderDM.clsBatchLoader")
    BATCHENG.mInitialize API, SCRIPTENG
    'Initialize Variables
    lngProcessLevel = 12 'Up-To-Check
    strDelimiter = "~"
    blnAutoMapCorrect = 0
    'Create the file collection
    Set BATCHENG.PcolFiles = BATCHENG.fFileCollectionCreate(CStr(strDelimiter))
    'Execute a Standard Serial batch
    BATCHENG.mFileCollectionProcess BATCHENG.PcolFiles, CLng(lngProcessLevel), , CBool(blnAutoMapCorrect)
    But still, I am getting the same error.
    Have I placed the your given code at wrong place? please help me on this.
    Thanks a lot for your help!!
    Thanks & Regards,

  • How can I get a count of objects in the near cache? (Extend client)

    Hi,
    I'm trying to figure out how to get the count of objects in my near cache (from c++ client). Knowing the size of the near cache is a key factor when optimizing configurations for performance.
    However if I call size() on the cache handle I get the count of objects in the cache (ie the cluster). How can I get a count of objects in the near cache?
    Thanks
    Rich Carless

    H Rich,
    It may not be ideal, but I think you may be able to infer the size by using the HeapAnalyzer (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15357_01/coh.360/e15728/classcoherence_1_1lang_1_1_heap_analyzer.html) facility, specifically the "class" based HeapAnalyzer. Its Snapshot representation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15357_01/coh.360/e15728/classcoherence_1_1lang_1_1_class_based_heap_analyzer_1_1_snapshot.html provides a mapping between class name and ClassStats (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15357_01/coh.360/e15728/classcoherence_1_1lang_1_1_class_based_heap_analyzer_1_1_class_stats.html) which provides information on how many instances of a given class type are in memory. Note the reported counts are process wide but if your key or value type are distinct you may be able to infer your answer. I realize this is rather complex, my only other suggestion would be to just make some guesses on size and see how they effect performance.

  • Command to know which process is doing huge paging

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 on sun solaris 10.
    When I use OEM (Internet explorer version) it shows me that there is a huge paging going on.
    Also I have seen the vmstat output which is showing huge paging.
    For the time, I have stoped my oracle and restarted. Now from last two days, I am not seeing any problem of paging anymore.
    How can I know which process is responsible for that ?
    Can anyone help me to get a command to know which process is responsible for huge paging (for future) ?
    Thanks & Regards
    Arun Tayal

    hi,
    When OEM shows the problem try running the command 'top' from the unix prompt. From the list of processes look for all oracle ones and see which is consumming most resources. then run thw following script and input the PID and see what the sql script is
    --find out sql script from unix PID
    select sql_text
    from v$sqlarea a,
    v$process p, v$session s
    where p.spid = &process_id
    and p.addr = s.paddr
    and a.address = s.sql_address;
    hope this helps
