With computer running Windows 7 using the curser can select an item, then right click and select copy. With computer running Windows 8 there is a hand instead of a curser therefore unable to select an item, therefore unable to copy. Is there a way to have a curser rather than the hand?
Eureka!!! Just found by right clicking on the hand can then select “Select Tool” and then copy. Hurray!!! -

What is the newest version of Adobe Acrobat Standard that runs on Windows XP SP3? I currently have Adobe Acrobat Standard 6.0.0. Thanks!
The current updates 10.1.13 and 11.0.10 no longer support Windows XP SP3. The last versions to test were 10.1.10 and 11.0.3 I think. But I wouldn't recommend using those because of the Security Updates in between those versions and the current updates. Microsoft doesn't even support Windows XP SP3 any longer. I would say to try updating both the OS and the applications.

My Bridge CC opens in a locked mode - I cannot make any changes (dump cache) - it says "other instances of Adobe Application Manager are running, which must be closed." I have to force quit Bridge to get out of it. I tried to uninstall Bridge and re-install it but it did the same thing. Any ideas where to go next?
The fact that I uninstalled Bridge and reloaded it has me concerned as to what to do next.?You need to force quit all other (real or fake) instances of the Application Manager. Instructions differ between Mac or Win.

Installed lates version of iTunes. Now it hangs 'while updating library' Any ideas?
Running iTunes for Windows, on 64-bit Vista PC. I tried uninstalling iTunes and re-installing, but it still stops running while 'updating itunes library'.
I searched this forum for simlar problems. I found:
Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interfence with plug-ins or scrpits not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down the Shift and Control keys while opening iTunes. If performed correctly, you should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
After clicking Continue, determine whether the issue you were experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you see the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the Create a New User Account section below. If you do not experience the same issue, consult iTunes: Troubleshooting issues with third-party iTunes plug-ins for steps on how to remove thrid-party plug-ins.
The library fully updated after a few seconds. I then closed iTunes and started it normally. It runs fine now. I'm not sure what caused the problem, but it was fixed. I hope it works for you. For the full article click:

Adding another application to adobe air installer

i created an application with adobe air myApp.air and i want to add a driver file in this installer so when the user installing the air application it will also install the needing drivers (it is an application also for windows and mac).
is it possible with adobe air? sorry for my bad English.There is no automated way to do this. The languages,
runtimes, and designs of the two systems are too different.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? If you spend a
bunch of time to rewrite the site in a new system, what benefit do
you expect to get out of it? If it's just the same thing when
you're done, all you've done is spend a lot of time getting
nowhere.
Is it even necessary to rebuild the whole site? If Flex
and/or AIR can give you some benefit, can it do so either with new
development that leaves the old system alone, or which replaces
only a subset of the old system? Perhaps you can expose part of the
old system's functionality as a REST or SOAP API to the AIR/Flex
app, which will rely on it. -

Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!

Downloaded the latest version of Firefox on my Mac and it won't open as keeps saying that Firefox is already running. This keeps happening even after I log out and re-boot the computer. I don't understand why if I do a download to an existing operation it doesn't piggy-back onto the old one and function. Please help as I have looked at all your Q & A and did not find anything to address download won't work because older version still "running" even when closed. I have Mac OS X version 10.6.3. Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

I am running Mac OSX 10.6.6. After running Firefox with no problem, it now won't open. When I attempt to open Firefox a "Close Firefox" dialogue box says " A copy of Firefox is already open. Only one copy of Firefox can be open at a time".
I searched my computer, threw out all firefox related items and when I download a new Firefox App. the same dialogue box still appears. How can I find the hidden application, close it and successfully open Firefox?Have you deleted the original files you copied? Deleting means moving to the Trash and emptying the Trash.
