In workcenter username under created by

Hello All,
When ever a message is raised from satellite system, in workcenter under created by column BACK RFC user name is displayed.
Where as in ticket under reported by the actual persons name is dispalyed.
Is there anyway to change created by column in workcenter ?

Hi,
not possible to change created by. The actual business partner involved is Reported By. The created by column will give you the user id which created the document in SOLMAN.

"Business Activty template' in place of "Business activity " under "create"

Hi Gurus,
the matter is, In CRM7.0 we have copied standard "sales pro" role and customized it according to our requirement. same way we also created 'z' Business activity from standard "0000" and did all other customization as well like maintain category, assign category, reasons,goal everything necessary.
Now when you login to CRM7.0 WEBUI , from Activity work centre, we click our 'z' business activity under "create".
a popup window opens up and give stwo oprtions:
1.interaction log
2.Task
(it is correct till here)
now when i choose "interaction log" with an intention to see 'z' Business activity transaction, but to my surprise i see " 'z'business template which i never configured.
but same transaction i open by going to "Search" option , then dragging "new" icon, my 'z' business activity opens up..
can somebody help me understand why is it happening and how can i resolve this....
where as in standard "salespro" role , if log-in everything is perfect no issues there.
then where did i went wrong or missed.
Please help it is critical...

actually in CRM webui:
there are two logical links:
a)Activity (it represents Templates for Activity & task in GUI)
b)Interaction logs (it represents Activity transaction types only).

In IMG (Tcode SPRO), go to Enterprise structure > Definition > FI > Edit, copy, delete, check Company code; double click on the Co Code, Utilities > Change Logs, check the dates.

E071 table --> TRKORR = TR/Task Number from E070 --> All objects under TR will be fetched.

Create PDF portfolios - Portfolios not listed under Create menu

Upon purchase of Adobe Acrobat XI Standard, I was able to download PDF Portfolio templates.
Under help file, instructions say to go to Create and select Portfolios.
No Portfolio option is listed in the Create menu.
How can I correct this?

When I updated from Snow Leopard to Lion, a new username was created. I want to merge old new username

When I updated from Snow Leopard to Lion, a new username w/administrative powers was created. Trying to merge old w/ new and retain all photos, music, etc of each but can't figure it out. Any ideas on how to do so?

I ended up calling Apple Tech Support for help on this. Got directed to a Mail expert. He had me move the following files from my home Library file folder.
~\Library\Mail\V2\MailData\Envelope Index
~\Library\Mail\V2\MailData\Envelope Index-shm
~\Library\Mail\V2\MailData\Envelope Index-wal
Then he asked me to quit Mail and then restart it again. When it restarted, it imported the mail (which the original migration had not done before). This solved about 90% of the problems. In my old mail folder in Snow Leopard, I had a Mail folder called Archive. Since this is now a reserved folder name, the import to Mountain Lion choked and it created five duplicates of this folder and its subfolders. I just deleted these and then went to Time Machine and brought in a single copy. The Rules and Smart Folders I had were gone and couldn't be resurrected, so had to spend some time and rebuild them by hand. But, now it all seems to be working well.

Elements 10 I have no options under create

I was trying to create a collage in PS elements 10 and when I go to the create option, there are no options underneath it, I have reset the panels and tolls but nothing appaers. Please see the image below, makes no difference if I have an open image or not. I ahve the same problem under guided edit, where I have no options. Have I not instaleld something ?

That's odd. Try resettings editor preferences. Press "Ctrl +Shift +Alt" as you press Edit in welcome screen . Do not leave the keys until you see a dialog asking you to delete editor preferences. Press "YES". If it does not fixes the problem then please see this link.

Charging Frequency and Username under Places

I have been reading up and some people say that they do not turn off their MBP's, just put them into sleep mode and go about their business, however, I recently made the switch to Mac and from Windows so I am kinda used to just shutting it down. My question is should I shut the MBP down or just put it sleep mode (which you can do by closing the MBP right) and keep it on charge like over-night or only charge when completely necessary?
Also, When I go into Finder and look under Places - I see four items: Desktop, (My iTunes username), Applications, and Documents. My question is, why is it showing my iTunes username or Apple username for that matter and can that be changed?

Simply changing the short name in Advanced Options will change the shortname, but _will not_ change the name of your home folder in the Finder or the name of File Sharing shares. So, it won't accomplish what you want to do. Also, doing so can cause minor issues with preferences and apps that store data or settings based on your short name.
Therefore, follow the suggestions in the linked kbase article - either make a new user with the name you want, copy over the home folder contents, then delete the old one, or follow the steps in the linked article for Mac OS X 10.5. look at your physical layer in the RPD you'll find that the does table exist (easy to find, it's represented by an icon in red) and you need to drop it before running your aggregate.

Can't create username for communities

Hello,
i have 2 Apple ID's under my name , and have a username on support communities under one of my older ID's but now i want to create one more username under my newer ID but the thing is i get this error whenever i try to create one.
An account utilizing this email address already exists.
Only one account per email address is allowed on Apple Support Communities.

The system is unavailable.
so guys please help me with this.

i have a total of 3 Apple ID with 2 of them i have discussions profiles
but the 3rd one won't let me allow to create a profile it says this

Z quotation type not getting picked up in create quotation workcenter link

Dear Webui experts,
We have a custom quotation type created from copying the standard one AGIS.
The workcenter link for create quotation works fine and displays list of quotations standard available in the system, but does not display the custom created quotation.
And the following message is displayed;
"Details" No transaction type is available for creating a transaction. On clicking on details its says either the transaction type is not configured or the user doesnot have authorisation. I have checked both and that is not the issue.
The pfcg fole has create authorisation for this transaction type in the authorisaion objects;
CRM_ORD_PR
CRM_ORD_LP.
I have checked for any SAP notes with th system message but did not find solution.
Can you pleaes guide what needs to be done

The problem still exists.
I made the entry for 'CRM webclient UI' in the channel for the Z transaction type for quote. But still it is not appearing in the webui. Rather all other transaction in the sytem disappeared. As you explained it was because if I maintain it for one it has to be maintained for all.
So I had to revert the channel entry 'CRM webclkient UI' as it actually did not solve the problem.
Also I noticed that other custom transaction types are visible in webui although ''CRM webclient UI' entry is not maintained for transaction type in channel. so it seems that the channel entry is not mandatory.
So may be problem is elsewhere. Please guide me if I need to check anyting else.
Also I was curious that anywhere (unlike R/3) in the transaction type we do not tell the system that it is a quotation or order, then how does system know that it has has to popuplate certain transaction types in 'Create quotation' link and certain in the 'Create Order' link.

Unable to find all created subject areas under OBIEE create analysis page

I have created and deployed one repository called "sample" and able to view under create analysis page. (one subject area)
After that I have created another repository (one subject area) called "Sangam" and deployed into EM.
Now When i look into OBIEE analysis page, i can able to view only one analysis i.e Sangam and i am unable to find my previous analysis sample.
Can any one help me out?

Error while creating a connection from JDeveloper to OC4J instance on 9iAS

I m trying to create a connection to the application server(9iAS release 2) from the JDeveloper(9.0.2.822) using the JDeveloper connection wizard. I followed all the steps, but when i click on "Test Connection" button to test the connection the error i get is "IO Error: Connection refused: connect". The description of the settings i provided in the wizard step are as follows,
Step 1
Connection name:- Connection1
Connection Type:- Oracle 9i Application Server
Step 2
Username:- admin
Password:- welcome
Deploy Password checkbox: Unchecked
Step 3 (the 9iAS server address is 192.168.30.162)
URL:- ormi://192.168.30.162/
Target Web Site:- http-web-site
Local dir where admin.jar is installed for Oracle 9iAS is installed:- C:\ora9i_d2k\j2ee\home
Step 4
Test Connection: “IO Error: Connection refused: connect”

Hi,
You cannot connect to an Oracle9iAS environment directly using the connections node. You can only connect to an individual OC4J instance using this technique.
You need to use Oracle9iAS Distributed Management Configuration (DCM). See JDeveloper Help under Creating Application Server Connections
