In yahoo mail the settings are no to open images: when I ask...doesn't happen

Yahoo andother mail sites have a protection feature so images aren't loaded unless you click yes...when i do, nothing happens

{Ctrl + Shft + J} or Tools > Error Console = see if there is a message related to that problem
You can right-click a message and use '''Copy'''. Then Paste that message here and we'll see what it is all about.

When using Yahoo mail my contacts are there one minute and when you click on the they all go away and it says you have no contact

The TO box used to auto fill when I started typing if an address was in my Contact list. The + at the end of the area for an email address says I have no Contacts
With Firefox, Yahoo Mail works normally except for contacts, when I click "Contacts" I get a screen with no names listed. If I start a new eMail and click "To" the listing appears as normal.
When I launch Yahoo Mail from Internet Explorer, the "Contacts" tab works normally.

As Roger said, iCloud does not support external POP accounts.
However, you can configure your Max to directly receive your Yahoo! email by following these instructions:

Note that this works (for me) without a Yahoo Plus! account - and make sure that you scroll down to the comment at the end of the article which has all of the correct settings in one place.

It is the same accout that has been working find for years and just after I updated the software this has happened. My Mac is still receiving and sending via Outlook with the same account and settings. My Iphone 5C has also stopped and I tried deleting the account and adding again (via exchange as it's an exchange accout) the same way I always do and it won't even recognise it to add the settings.
So annoying. Can anyone help?

Cannot get yahoo mail - "the connection to the server failed"

For the last 3 days my yahoo mail account hasn't been receiving new mail on my iPad - and won't let me send. However I am getting Facebook updates on my iPad, and can get yahoo mail updates on my Samsung android phone. Does anyone know what's happened? Sure it's something simple, but I am like an old nanna with technology and need help please?!!! Thanks.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Try a couple of basic troubleshooting steps that can apply to any iPad issue.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Quit the mail app and restart. In order to quit or close apps - Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
None of these things may work, but without more specific information, they are a good place to start.

The "Share" button on the toolbar was for sharing documents via iWork.com (beta). That service was shut down last year so the button wouldn't do anything now. It seems that the Pages team removed it in one of the updates.

Hmm... It looks like they are gone forever now then. I can't think of any other way of getting them back apart from restoring from an iTunes or iCloud backup. Somebody else might be able to help but I think they're gone forever. I don't know why they were wiped from your iPod but it could be something to do with security. In the future I would recommend syncing to iTunes or iCloud to prevent it from happening again. When i search through google and the page opens, it freezes showing that it is transfering. Also when i try to access my yahoo mail the same thing happens. I will uninstall Ver4 beta. and re install 3.6 until u guys find solution to this

Don't have McAfee, Norton, AVG, actually nothing else running. Had Firefox 4 installed on 5 computers at home and 2 at work. Completely separate ISP's at home and work. XP and WIN7 computers. Yahoo mail freezes and I tried the old Yahoo mail, the new Yahoo mail, and the Beta Yahoo mail. The only way I can sometimes get mail to open is to right-click and open in a new tab or window. I uninstalled all of the computers running Firefox 4 and went back to 3.6.16. Just too buggy and the look of it is strange.
