Inability of charts to appear on Emails sent to PC recipients

Prior to upgrading to Snow Leopard, I could copy a chart including text from an Email sent to me and paste it on another Email I was sending to another party. I can no longer do this. I now have to mouse point on the chart ony (text OK) in the first Email and transfer it to the window. On the Email to be sent, I transfer the window chart icon to the Email and then send the Email successfully. The recipient of my Email is using a PC computer
The Email I receive is in print form and I cannot forward as regular Email. Solution anybody.

With POP, there really isn't a good way.  POP is designed to download from the server only, deleting messages after they are downloaded.  While you can set it to not delete, there's no provision for uploading messages to the server.  You need an IMAP account, which allows full synchronization of the server with the mail client, across multiple machines.  Note that some mail accounts can be set up as either POP or IMAP...  check with BT Connect to see if that's the case with them.

  • Have an iphone 3GS, 2 email accounts.  My work email account used to work.  Now if I send any emails from this account it only appears in my sent box.  Recipients internal and external do not receive.  IT person cannot figure why occurring.  Any insight?

Have a iphone 3GS; 2 email accounts.  one is for work.  It used to work fine until about Feb 2011.  Now when i send emails from my work account it only appears in the sent file.  Recipients do not get email.
IT person looked at it & cannot find why this is happening.
Any insight why this is occurring??

This has nothing to do with your iPhone.
If a message is in the account's Sent mailbox, this means the message was successfully sent. If a message cannot be sent for whatever reason, it will remain in the Outbox.
What happens to a message after it was successfully sent has nothing to do with the email client or computer/device used to send the message.

  • Email sent to wrong recipients

Looking for some insight into any possible systematic way this could have happened.
A confidential emailA was sent from userA to userB . UserB is using webaccess. UserB is drafting another emailB to userC and bcc'd to 8 others. IT gets call from UserA saying she is receiving messages from some of the other 8 that they received confidential emailA in error. A copy of the message sent in error has userA in From box with UserB in brackets. IT changes userB password and logs into account via web access. On login an email recovery box pops up, listing 2 emails. Emails are saved. UserB is called while her email is looked over. She says she doesn't know how this could have happened. Original emailA is no longer showing in mailbox or in trash and a search can't locate it . In the sent items is a response from userB to userA thanking for document in emailA. There is another sent item which was the emailA being sent to userC and bcc'd to the 8 others. A look at the workinprogress folder reveals emailB in draft form with the To box extended and userC listed.
In my opinion, it looks like userB had multiple windows open, somehow clicked forward on confidential emailA and added the addresses that should have been put on emailB and hit send. Maybe after realizing mistake deleted original emailA and shutdown browser, leaving orphaned composition boxes (hence the recovered emails).
Is there any possible way this could have been caused by a technical glitch? Are there any logs that would be helpful? May have legal issues. She says she " will work with IT to determine how this happened".
    Thanks for any help.
    Tom

I believe your analysis is correct.
Look at the Sent Item in UserA's mailbox. It should show when the message was opened and deleted by UserB. Then look at the leaked item recieved by the other users. When was it sent?
Its likely the user forwarded the message, this decorates the message with the little arrows, they saw this and deleted the message, then emptied their trash for good measure. If this were a glitch, its unlikely the user would have gone to the effort of covering their tracks.
But a glitch is possible... you may want to contact Novell if this will result in people getting fired and such.
    Look at the sent items.
    Look at the timing.
    Look at logs in /var/log/no*/gr*
Looks at message status tracking info cia the HTTP consoles for the MTA and POA and so on.

  • My iphone 4s is randomly not sending emails.  The message appears in the sent box, but the receipient is not geeting the message.  Suggestions?

I have attempted the recommended fixes; power off the phone and I have deleted the email account and readded the account.  I also signed into the email account.  The problem is not witth my email account.  This is a very disturbing problem.  I purchased the iphone to reliably communicate.  I have no idea which emails are sent since they are all appearing in my sent folder, but the receipient is not getting the email message.  I regret upgrading to IOS7.  This was not a problem under the older opperating systems.  I tested this with my first generation iPad.  I sent a message successfully to the receipient using my ipad 1.  Does anyone have any other fixes to try?
The biggest concern is that the phone just randomly decides that certain emails are not sent!  I am becoming very disillusioned with apple products - great way to destroy a good thing!  The android market is looking more appealing everyday.

I had that problem and seemed to have solved it by deleting my email accounts and then reinstalling.  I think there was a HARD reset involved also, but since it was just after I got my new 4S (6 weeks ago), I'm not sure about the reset.

That changes things a little bit , login to icloud.com and see if you can find it in your sent folder.
If it is there you did send, just need to wait until you phone syncs "sent folder" perhaps on wifi.
If it is not, then I would say it is lost and you may have to send again. They have 20 megs limit, so make sure that message plus attachment is under that limit.

    Hi maryin,
I have attached your recent EE Invoice.
Generally speaking it looks reasonable. There is £38.37 out of bundle spend mainly due to calling non-geographic calls by several users.
One point to note is that 07931374236 called directory enquiries for 3-mins that cost £8.33, This is expensive. You could really do with requesting that users look up telephone numbers using yell.com or google. They have the data allowance necessary to do so and it costs Shuffs nothing additional.
Please contact me if you require any further details.
    Regards
    Andy Heames

The information is not an error.
Your current setup allows Full headers to be displayed and not the brief version. So as a result it uses what is selected to be displayed.
    You can quickly change this:
View > Headers > select 'Normal'
Then all in coming will not display full headers and therefore when you reply or forward, it will not include full headers.

Why does an email sent from an iPad or iPhone to ms outlook appear with attachments? Example: signatures at the bottom of the mail tend to be broken down into a series of unwanted attachments!

It worked for me. I took a picture with the iPhone's camera. Then opened the Photos app and selected the picture, and emailed it from one of my IMAP accounts to my gmail (also IMAP) account. When it showed up in the gmail inbox (on my iPhone), I forwarded it to my yahoo mail account (choosing the "inlcude attachments" option). When that showed up on my iPhone's yahoo inbox, the picture was there just as it should be.
So I guess the next thing would be to try it with non-iPhone pictures to see if it is a problem with image size or something. I have some 6-megapixel images in iPhoto I can try (taken as RAW/DEC format pictures with my dSLR).
Just tried it sending a Photo from my computer's iPhoto library - picture is 728KB, 2272x1704 jpeg. I emailed it to my gmail account, and it showed up on the iPhone just fine. Then I forwarded that to my yahoo account and again, it showed up just fine on both the iPhone and reading my yahoo mail via the web page.
Don't know what to say - I don't mean this to be just another "works for me" post. I was hoping to see something maybe depending on the size and origin of the picture.
By the way, my 3GS shipped with 3.0.1 on it, and I've updated it via iTunes normally to 3.1.1 and currently 3.1.2. Sorry I don't have anything constructive to add.

  • Emails sent through Mail 7.0 on Mac won't appear in the Sent folder in the Yahoo web browser or the Mail app for iPad.

It seems that emails I send via Mail on my mac are stored only in Mail's Sent folder. These emails don't appear in the sent folder of Yahoo web browser, iPad Mail app, or the Y! Mail android app..
I've tested to see whether my emails are actually sending properly, and they are. I just want to know why the Sent messages on my mac aren't appearing anywhere else. I've read similar issues to this but haven't yet found a reason or solution.
    Thanks in advance

[edit] I dragged the email I sent through the MBP Mail app (under MAILBOXES > Sent > Yahoo!) to the highlighted Sent folder (YAHOO! > Sent), and now it shows up on all Yahoo Sent folders (iPad app, web browser, phone app). Not entirely solved the issue but will use web browser to sent future emails to keep everything in sync.

thanks for your help... I was feeling frustrated because the sync problem, but with your suggestion all contacts are now on my iPhone. _Thanks once again_.
I think that I was asking two different questions at the same time, because the problem with the iPhone synchronization was solved, but the .Mac Address Book still has no new contacts... just the contacts before the Mac OS X update to Leopard. I guess that I will need to look for help in other discussion topic.

  • Emails forwarded by using a rule don't appear in the Sent Folder...

Is this the normal for Mail, or is there something I'm not doing to make these forwarded emails appear in my Sent folder?

That would explain why they are or are not saved *on the server*, but not why they are not saved locally...
The OP does not see them in his sent mail, local.
Or would the server parameter also control local copies...?

  • Emails sent from iPhone don't appear in Sent folder

This should be an easy one for you guys!
I have an iPhone 4s running the latest IOS. When I send emails from the phone they do not appear in the Sent folder on the phone. I can't find the setting to change this.
    Thanks!!

Has the Mobile Me account been set up on your iPhone as POP rather than IMAP? If it has been set up as POP then any message sent will not be mirrored. Your Mobile Me account should also be configured as IMAP on all your devices in order to see those messages in your Sent Items folder.
The idea of IMAP is to be device independent such that whatever you do is mirrored on all your devices as they each synchronize with Mobile Me. I suppose you could view the Mobile Me "cloud" as being the main repository. If you delete a message from your Inbox via your iPhone, the next time you connect your Mac that message will not appear in the associated Inbox in Mail.
    Does that make sense?

  • Email sent from MacBookAir does not appear on iphone or other windows?

    Hi All,
Just started using MackBook Air, love it. Can someone guide me please. When i send an email from MacBook Air, it does not appear in the "Sent" folder on the iphone or other computer?
How can i fix this issue, so that whatever email i send using yahoo or etc, appears on all, ie MacBook Air, iphone, windows.
    Thanks

That will happen under two conditions:
You have an IMAP mail account, such as iCloud.
You select the option to store sent messages on the server in the account settings.

  • Email sent from iPhone appears in Sent Items days later

On our Mac clients we use Entourage 2008 SP2 which connects to Exchange 2003 SP2 running on Window Server 2003.
So we're very pleased our iPhone 3Gs with 3.1.1 work as well as they do with ActiveSync email to Exchange. (Well done Apple.)
However, we have noticed that some emails sent from the iPhone appear in Entourage's (and OWA's) Sent Items folder days later than when the message was sent.
    Also, the Subject is BLANK.
This is not good as we are contemplating moving from BlackBerry to iPhone for our client servicing teams who need to have an accurate record on on-the-hoof communications.
    Any ideas?
    Regards
    C.

IPhone OS 3.0 did not identify itself properly to Exchange 2007 on any iPhone. With iPhone OS 3.1, all iPhones identify themselves properly to the server, essentially fixing a glitch in the previous operating system. However, now iPhone and iPhone 3G users that upgraded to iPhone OS 3.1 won't be able to login to Exchange 2007 servers that require hardware encryption. The new iPhone 3GS, you won't notice any change. Apple's newest phone is equipped with hardware encryption, so it will meet the requirements of the Exchange server when identifying itself. If you've already upgraded your phones to iPhone OS 3.1 on an iPhone or iPhone 3G and connect to an Exchange 2007 server, you have to turn off the hardware encryption requirement for those devices. So, if you decide you have to have hardware encryption, then you'll need to upgrade all phones to 3gs.
