Inability to print to networked Samsung M2825DW Printer from IE 11

I recently installed a Samsung M2825 printer on my network. Now I'm unable to print to that printer from IE 11.  I get the following error message:
"There was an internal error and Internet explorer is unable to print this document."
I can print to my other printers (HP Photosmart and HP LaserJet) but not to the Samsung.  Furthermore, I can print to all three printers without difficulty from Firefox 26.0.
I'm running Windows 7 Pro SP 1, 32 Bit.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Have you tried printing a webpage running IE as an administrator?
Also, third party extensions or add-ons can affect printing from IE. So i recommend you attempt to run in No Add-on mode to try printing.
Thanks!

  • Inability to print from all applications

When I try to print I get various error messages:
Word; Word cannot print due to a problem with the current printer.
Safari & TextEdit: Error while printing.
Printer works fine with PC; not when connected by ISB to Mac.
    Software all up to date.
Might have started with Leopard install?
    Thanks for any suggestions.

First thing to try is permissions repair. If that fails, I would consider archive and install, since there may have been a faulty install of the drivers.
    Good luck!

  • Trouble printing from a MacBook to a network printer wirelessly

I have a Samsung printer connected to a Windows 7 machine and am attempting to print from a MacBook. I try the usual AdvancedWindows+SMB-addressShare-name technique. When I go to print, the MB asks for My Username and password for the W7 box. Upon entering the information, I receive an NTSTATUS_CONNECTIONREFUSED message and no printing takes place.
Curiously, a Mac mini (10.5.8 also) which is connected to the network by wire (the MB is connected wirelessly) prints just fine to the same printer using the same configuration.
Does Anyone have any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue? Can Anyone point Me in the direction of documentation which could help?
    Thanks in advance.

I figured out the answer using this excellent Web page: http://www.ifelix.co.uk/tech/3000.html.
The problem was that when I used the "Wizard" on the PC to install the shared printer, it picked the Deskjet driver by default. But the iMac needs to get the printer data in Postscript, which its own driver then translates into Deskjet speak. So after creating the printer on the Thinkpad I had to go into its Properties and change to the Apple Color Laserwriter driver.

    Hi,
I'm not familiar with the activate access control so I wont be able to help you with that.
Have you installed the HP eprint app and tried to print from within the HP eprint app? I think the HP eprint app is your best hope for wireless printing from your device.
If both the printer and phone are on the same network, you should be able to see the printer within the app and print to it.

  • Re: how can i print from my samsung galaxy tab to my hp printer

have downloaded e print to my Samsung Galaxy 3 Tablet, have instaled, but Tablet can't find the printer Office Jet J4580 -
no printer available in this Network?? is the answer I see, finds services over 100km away though

    what am I doing wrong??

    Hi,
I've included a link here to the setup of e-Print on android. Check through the steps here to ensure that you covered everything.
If you have e-Print installed on your tablet, the key thing is to ensure that both your tablet and printer are connected to the same wifi network.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
I do not know what you are doing wrong; I can offer the following in hopes that it might help.
The problem is likely not directly related to your printer -- Print Preview is application driven as is the environment that helps select the printer setup.  In general, your environment must be set up first -- that is, the printer has to be installed, selected as default, on the network, and ready to go -- and then the applications can use it.
First, if you have not already done so, please install the printer's Full Feature Software:
Install Full Feature Software – OfficeJet 6700
Make sure your 6700 printer is assigned as the Default printer -- assuming this is the only printer on your network, this should happen automatically.  However, if you tend to roam about from one location to another, this may not be the case -- you may want to check to make sure the printer that you expect to see is indeed the "default" printer.  In this case, you want that printer to be the HP Officejet 6700.
Control Panel > set icon view > Devices and Printers >
Right-Click on your printer >  assure / select as Default printer

  • Network printing from my new windows pc using a HP 710 attached to a networked Vista pc

My setup worked perfectly when I had an xp pc and a vista vc.
The xp pc had a samsung 6060 laser printer connected by a parallel cable and the vista pc had a HP710C also connected by a parallel cable. I also have a laptop running ubuntu linux. The pcs are networked peer to peer and connected to the internet through a wired router. I was able to share files between all three machines, and print on any printer from any pc.
I now have a new pc running windows 7 (64)and one of the many problems I am having is getting the printing to work.
The two pcs can share files ok, I can find and install both printers on both pcs and they both print through the pcs they are attached to. What they won't do is print through the network. though I can select the printers in an application and press print nothing then happens (not even an error message) I am not a pc 'teckie' and don't really understand how it should work, but have tried a variety of things like 'permissions', 'firewalls' and all the automated fault finding fixes,  and so on but have struggled trying to understand what kind of driver should go where, or even to identify if this is a network issue or a printer driver issue
I'm tearing my hair out! And I've given up on networking the linux machine, and parked all the issues I am having with user account control, permissions and file ownership.
Can anyone help on the printing front please? Thanks.

One, have the printer shared (it sounds like you've already done that) and under the share name...make sure that it is less than twelve characters and includes no spaces or special characters (underscores are okay). Then, you should have no trouble adding it to your Mac.
On the Mac, go to System Preferences, then go to Print & Fac, then the "+" button, then on the pop-up window, select "More Printers". The top drop-down menu should say "Windows Printing", on the second one, select your Network Neighborhood, then the workgroup your host computer belongs to, then select the name of the computer and the printer shoudl show up. Mac OS X has a multitude of drivers preinstalled for printers, so one it is detected, go to the "Printer Setup" and select your printer model.
    Hopefully that helps

He debh20s. Just to clarify, are you saying that your 'Officejet Pro 8600 (standard, plus or premium?)' is not being seen over the network by your Samsung S4? Are you using the HP ePrint app, or in-OS printing? What version of Android OS is on your S4?

  • Wireless printing from SAMSUNG Tab 4 Tablet to HP printer

Hello! I have bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab4 10.1 tablet as a gift to someone who has never owned a computer. They will soon have a wi-fi internet connection installed at home. As they would like to be able to print wirelessly from the tablet DIRECTLY to a printer from time to time I recommendedan HP printer (since I own one and am very happy with it). However I need to know which models I can recommend to them and which app they can download from PlaynStore on their tablet so it is as straightforward as possible as they have absolutely no prior IT knowledge and I am geographically too far away to help them personally with this. Amongst the models which may be suitable and are available locally to them are:  HP Envy 4500 All-in-One Printer (wireless) HP 2540 All-in-One Printer (wireless) HP Deskjet 3630 All-in-One Printer (AUTO wireless connect) Any other suggestions welcome of course. What is the difference between wireless and auto wireless connect? Can you help please? Thank you very muchAriane

Hello ,  Welcome to the HP Support Forum.  I see that you have some questions about three different HP printer models' functionality. I would like to help.   As the Androift tablet and HP printer giftee has specific technical and network-oriented needs I do have some recommendations that may help you decide which unit's a better fit.  Firstly, I advise you to cross the HP DeskJet 3630 All-in-One Printer off your list.  Its wireless feature (aka auto wireless connect) can only be activated via the printer software on a Mac or PC. This printer's great for use with those devices and only good on an Android if it's already setup by way of Mac or PC.  It is certainly possible to use the HP Deskjet 2540 All-in-One Printer with an Android tablet only. If you click here you can review the setup instructions I've penned in another thread.  That post also details how to print via Android (ePrint app only in this case). The setup's not exactly hard to execute, but for the novice user it's not the easiest setup method either. Note that this printer does not have the HP ePrint feature (meaning the giftee will not be able to print from the tablet outside the home by way of ePrint).  The HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer can be connected to a wireless network without the help of another device (i.e. a Mac, PC, tablet, smart-phone). The user can touch the wireless button from the printer's front panel and run the Wireless Setup Wizard to connect to their network. Further, this printer is more Android-friendly than the others. It can print via the Android OS built-in print solution, via ePrint, and also via the HP ePrint app.  The added benefit of it being an ePrinter means that the giftee can send it print jobs from any-web connected device by emailing print jobs to its unique ePrint address (as detailed in the ePrint link above). The giftee could also control certain printer features and scan to the Galaxy (Android device) with the HP All-in-One Printer remote.  Thus, two out of the three printers you've listed are compatible with the giftee's Android tablet. Since printing via Android is considered a Cloud service, the user can always call our Cloud Services at 855-785-2777. If they live outside the US/Canada Region, they can click the link below to get the support number for your region. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html In other words, how-to advice, troubleshooting, and questions are always supported by Cloud Services technicians at no cost to the end-user.  Let me know if you have any other questions about these or other printers. If you liked this post, feel free to give me virtual props by clicking on the 'Thumbs Up' icon below and clicking to accept this solution. Thanks for posting in the HP Support Forum. Have a great day!

  • Printing from Samsung mobile phone (Android)

Hello....  How do I register another device such as Samsung mobile phone.. I was told when buying this printer that it could print from alternative devices if I set it up with a wireless connection... My printer is the HP Deskjet 2540/2544 all in one series... Many thanks..

    Hello cath12,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand you are looking to print from your Samsung phone to the Deskjet 2540. You can do this two different ways, Wireless Direct and HP ePrint App.
If using Wireless Direct, you can connect to the printer by going to the wireless setting on your phone and selecting the HP-Print-**-Deskjet 2540. To learn about Wireless Direct, review the User Guide, page #16.
If the printer is on your wireless network, you would be able to install the HP ePrint App and printer Emails, from the web, and photos. Check out this FAQ document to learn more about the App: HP ePrint Mobile App FAQs.
    I hope this helps.

  • Can not print from network share.

When a PDF document is printed from a network share whe're getting this error:
Windows cannot find 'T:\temp\test.pdf'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.
This happens when a user click on the document with a right mouse click and select "print".
But when the users copies it to his desktop and then select print with the right mouse click. The document print as normally. What could be the problem?
we are using adobe reader 7.0.0

Suggest that you check to make sure that you installed Bonjour Print Services for Windows v2.0.2 on the PC.
Run the program and hopefully it will find your printer so you can select it and click to get things going.

  • Unable to print from MacBookPro to printer in Windows network

    Hi,
I am trying to print from a MacBookPro on an HP printer connected to a desktop computer running Windows Vista.
    MacBookPro  - running Mac OS X 10.7.5; 2 GHz Intel Core 7; 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Windows desktop computer - Acer Aspire M1100 running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit; 2.1 GHz AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core
Printer - HP Deskjet F2210 All-in-one (printer, scanner), connected to Windows Desktop via USB (direct, not hub)
Wired/Wireless environment - Motorola SBG900 Cable Modem, to which the Windows Desktop is connected either wirelessly or via Ethernet cable
The printer will print documents when connected directly to MacBookPro via USB, but over the network, this is showing:
On MacBookPro: In the printer queue, the message shows, "Waiting for print job to complete..."
On the Windows Desktop: In the printer queue, the size of the document comes up as ...KB/...KB (in my case, 10.7 KB/13.8 KB) - won't change, number of pages "N/A"
On the printer front panel: blinking On/Off button light (blinking slowly, suggesting printer is still busy) - the printer will start to kick into action, but the only thing happening is that blinking light...
... and that's it! From there, there is no more progress (even after 10-20 minutes); you have to cancel the print job on both the MacBookPro and the Windows Desktop.
This is what I have tried already:
Making sure both machines are in the same network (check)
Making sure both are in the same subnet (check)
Deactivating Windows firewall and the firewall in the router/gateway (does not solve issue)
Logging in to Windows Desktop over Finder on the Mac using a user name that is the same on both machines (does not solve issue)
Deleting Keychain Access stored passwords in case they were incorrect (does not solve issue)
Making sure drivers for printer are up-to-date on both MacBookPro and Windows Desktop (check)
Deleting the printer from the MacBookPro and letting the system find it by itself when printer  connected directly via USB (does not solve issue)
I have also tried installing the printer as described in Apple Support article HT3049 (How to manually add a Windows shared printer.) It seems like there are two ways to add a printer, one is by using the "Windows" button in the "Add printer" window toolbar, the other is by using the "Advanced" button. Both did not help.
I exchanged the printer cartridges, since low ink levels apparently can also cause errors when printing in a network (read that somewhere here - but does not solve issue either.)
In order to see if the Windows version has something to do with it, I connected a Windows 7 laptop to the printer and tried to print from the MacBook wirelessly to it (no success there, either).
When printing first when we got the MacBookPro, I think it worked to print over the network, but for whatever reason, things won't budge at the moment. (I guess, it's a driver issue, but the drivers are up-to-date.) I must be doing something wrong, I just don't seem to be able to figure out what, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you in advance.
