Inaccuracy in mgmt report

I encountered ABAP runtime error when generating this report for 2 days. So, yesterday I run this report on background. Most of the info was missing in the report when I double check it with FS10N. Pls refer to the attached report. Those highlighted in pink is the missing data. When I run the price variance report again, the missing data was different from the first report.
kindly suggest

Which report are you running? You cannot attach any files in this forum.

    Regrds,

    Hello
A query may have some limitations. Data inconsistency / transport issues and so on. Definitely as a workaround solution you could try to prepare a query. Take the ABAPper help.
As a long term solution, develop a new Z report. There could available standard reports, which can be copied and modified easily.

  • Org Mgmt Report with Org Unit, Position, Person and Chef Position

Does anyone know a good report that shows an org structure with Org Unit, positions, person, and also highlights the chef positions?
I would like to link this to our portal, so would prefer a report to transaction PPOME.
    Thanks,
    Dianna

    Hi,
You can generate the required report from reporting tool HIS. select the org structure for which you want the report to be generated.
In the graphical view select the org unit and in the reporting window select organizational plan and select staff assignment as task function.

  • GRC 5.3 - Management Report Error: Cannot assign an empty string to host..

Good day Kiran Kandepalli and Others.
I have successfully executed the background jobs -
Full User, Role, Profile Synchronization & a
    Full Batch Risk Analysis
When I run the Management Reports I receive the following error -
Error while executing the Job:Cannot assign an empty string to host variable 10.
Has anybody had this error message before?
When I check table VIRSA_CC_PRMVL, variable 10 is set to No in Nullable collumn.

    Hi Sahad,
Thanks for your response.  I have checked the usr02 table and logs and do not see any empty fields or strings.  This process worked for 5.2 but fails in 5.3.  Here is the excerpt from the log for the Management Report run.  It seems to fail consistenly at a certain point.  If I knew what the batch job was looking for in host variable 10 I might be able to resolve the problem.  It seems to fail when it starts to report on users.
    Thanks.
    Dan.

  • Approval reports

    Hello,
We are in EP 6 sp9.I am trying to use the
Content Mgmt -> Reports -> Approval Maintanence for approval statistics after doing several approvals. But the report always shows 0 results. Is there any other configuration that needs to be carried out ? Or Am in searching in the wrong place ?
    Swami Bala

    Hi Swami,
to be honest, I think that you might have misconfigured the report. Let me clarify how to work with the Status Management (Approval Maintenance) Report:
Lets say you have activated "Approval Workflow" for the folder "Public Documents" in the "/documents" CM Repository and defined the user "Administrator" to be the first (and only) approver. Lets also assume that you have uploaded a document with another user in this directory, and submitted this document for approval.
Now, you go to Approval Maintenance Report and start a new report:
    1. Give this Report a name (i.e..: For Submission)
    2. In the "Scope"-Tab browse to the documents repository and say "Add"
    3. Leave Maximum Results to "-1" (no limit)
    4. Leave Author and Approver empty (if you like)
    5. <b>Set Status on "to be released"</b>
    6. <b>Uncheck "Empty Approver Lists" and "Empty Approver Steps"</b>
    7. Go on "Start"
After waiting a couple of seconds, click again on "Approval Maintenance" and you should see at least 1 document found!
Now you can approve this document and create a new report searching for documents with status "released".
    Hope this helps,
    Robert

  • Access Control 5.3 RAR - BW Reporting 0GCC_UPV

    Hi experts,
I have activated the SAP GRC Access Control content and everything works fine so far. However, I can't report risks by users properly, as mitigated controls are not taken into account in cube 0GCC_UPV. Mitigated users are stored in 0GCC_MTUS.
Has anyone experience with this ? Of course we want to report on users which are not mitigated and still have risks.
The query select * from virsa_cc_prmvl on Java Stack says that MITREFNO is always empty. However, there is the possibility on the java stack to report on users and select/deselect mitigation. I don't believe they join two tables during runtime !
    Any help is appreciated !
    Thanks,
    Max

    Hi Annie,
For your first question check this thread -
GRC 5.3 Zero Violations & unable to exclude critical profiles
    Question 2:
When I change the background job parameters for Batch Risk Analysis with specific usergroup and specific role range, why it doesnt reflect in the mgt view->risk violations? it still show me all the users in the systems and not the range of users that i specified.
As per my uderstanding mgt-risk violation will show you the results based upon the selected criteria in the view and not based upon the background job you selected. Once Full Batch Risk Analysis is done, the data is there in GRC database. After that it keeps syncing each time you run a new batch risk analysis and adds any new changes.
Showing in mgmt report is based upon what you select to see.

    Sabita

  • Government Collection of Student Account Reported

Hi everyone.  Earlier this year I received a letter from the U.S Board of Education about an overpayment that I owed from my previous school (that i didnt know about) that had been turned over to the government. I immediately called and paid what I owed and asked if this information would be reported to my credit. They told me since I was paying it no information would be reported. Fast forward to this week when I checked my report:  Account DetailsLast ReportedMay 16, 2015Creditor NameUS DEPARTMENT OF EDUAccount TypeEducation LoanAccount StatusClosed - Paid and ClosedOpened Date--Closed DateApr 01, 2015Limit--Term120 MonthsMonthly Payment--ResponsibilityIndividual Account.Balance$0Highest Balance$0Payment StatusCurrentWorst Payment Status--Date of Last PaymentMar 01, 2015Amount Past Due--Times 30/60/90 Days Late0/0/0RemarksStudent loan assigned to government - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -  - - - - -  - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - MY QUESTION IS  Should I dispute this?? I'm not sure if it is negative or will have a harmful effect. I don't want to dispute it only to have a remark put on there saying I disputed it. Not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated!

You dont appear to have an inaccuracy in what they reported. The assertion is apparently that they are bound by their statement that they would not report, In my opinionm, you have no inaccuracy in their reporting upon which to base a dispute,Since you paid the debt without prior reliance on a promise not to report, I see no contract term that was breached upon your payment. A dispute would, in my opinion, not prevail, and in fact might be counter-productive.Your normal path at this point would be to request their good-will deletion.  A dispute would most likely not foster their good-will.

    Hi,
May be it worked in your case How the job names going to affect the execution of the job. The issue is purely because of RFC timeout (As per the logs). I recommend to change the parameter in the configuration tab as recommended by Sunny in the previous thread.

    GUI-stuff - it's just going to be a server (web/email and database)
now. Webserver for my own sites, so no reason to spend money I
don't have on Enterprise CF. I will probably run a bunch of stuff
for friends under my domain in folders, i.e.,
    faceitphoto.ca/mystuff, faceitphoto.ca/friend1stuff,
faceitphoto.ca/friend3 stuff...not more advanced than that. They
can forward/cloak however they see fit at their expense.
I see SQL Is available in a version that offers web services
    - is that valid to me at all? Or am I good with just the MS SQL
    Express?
Is MS Exchange going to function fine as the email server in
CF, i.e., can I point it as the source in Administrator? I have the
MX entry or whatever it's called from my ISP for faceitphoto.ca
    pointed to my static IP.
Most importantly, as per the title, how would you recommend
setting this up? Should I buy XP Pro and run SQL under it, and CF
under my Server 2003 with the mailserver (Exchange) running in the
same environment? Is vmware the answer here?
Any other suggestions? I'm pretty much out of money after the
    laptop comes...
And yes, I'm a bit out of my league here, so I will take the
recommendations to someone who knows what they are doing. I want
the OS/Apps drives all Ghosted when it's done (running, configured,
current updates applied). This isn't for a business (yet), so
please keep your $$$ recommendations with that in mind...but I am
very serious about trying to buildng something I COULD turn into a
small business down the road, i.e., I like to build photo galleries
and have 'informal' expectations at work to maybe cobble together a
dashboard with CF/SQL/Flex2/FDS2, and a few mgmt/reporting areas
(they'd run it from there, this would be a development
    environment). Who knows from there...
    Shawn

    hi
"I see SQL Is available in a version that offers web services
    - is that valid to me at all? Or am I good with just the MS SQL
    Express?"
    >Sql express is just fine for start, if you are not happy
stripped sql you can allways start to use other version and import
    db's there.
"Is MS Exchange going to function fine as the email server in
CF, i.e., can I point it as the source in Administrator? I have the
MX entry or whatever it's called from my ISP for faceitphoto.ca

    >yes you can. you can still use your isp mailserver if you
    dont want to use/maintain exchange.
"Most importantly, as per the title, how would you recommend
setting this up? Should I buy XP Pro and run SQL under it, and CF
under my Server 2003 with the mailserver (Exchange) running in the

    >same enviroment is fine. you can spend $ to dedicated sql
    box but why?
you can use wmvare too, it up to yours how you want to
    maintain you dev/prod enviroment.
"I want the OS/Apps drives all Ghosted when it's done
    (running, configured, current updates applied)."
    >set some raid to your disks like 2 system disks and rest
    for data and/or apps.
wmvare and you can have easy machine images, it make life
    easy when troubles come..
if you do not select wmvare you can use symantec ghost
    software to create images
select some backup software and maybe external hd (network
capable) where you do your daily backups
and firewall to protect your stuff!

  • Introducing Business Area for Management Consolidation

Our Business has been using Business Area for all management reporting purpose since SAP had been implemented some 15 yrs back in our organization. They do not want to use Profit Center for management consolidation purpose in SEM-BCS. Our Project Manager wants to go with one data basis with one cons area.
I have planned to remove all Profit center related characteristics (alloc cons Profit center, cons Profit center grp, cons profit center, Investee unit- profit center and Partner cons profit center) and introduce Business Area with Sub-assignment role. Under Breakdown category, I will create necessary sub-assignment from comp code GL transaction data to Business Area. I can do legal consolidation in the normal course and with sub-assignment and using breakdown category, I can derive Business Area based consolidation and also I can generate both legal and mgmt reports.
Whether my understanding of the data basis architecture is correct? Is it prudent to proceed further based on my understanding?
Dan & Eugene: I look forward for your feedback.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Tim

Dan: <i>For management reporting you may not want to post eliminations between companies where the business areas are the same.</i>
If the Business wants to see the eliminations between companies, within the same business area, as part of BEx reports, what should I do? They do not want to execute consolidation functions in UCMON but just want to see how the eliminations have taken place between companies with in the same business area.
Dan: <i>As long as the partner company and partner business area are consistently included for the intercompany transactions, the eliminations between Legal and Management will agree at the top-level of each hierarchy.</i>
Have I to introduce one more InfoObject Partner Business Area in the data basis and assign the role Sub-assignment once again?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Access Control 5.3 - RAR

    Hi Experts,
Help needed. I am a newbie with GRC.
I have executed the background jobs for RAR:
    - roles/profiles/users sync
    - batch risk analysis
    - mgt rpt
all full sync and with * values
Once completed, the infor was updated in the informer tab under mgt view.
Question 1: What is puzzling me is, though i have setup the rule architect with critical roles and profiles (SAP* roles & S profiles) and under config tab to ignore critical roles and profiles (set to YES). Why is the mgt view->risk violations still showing me IDs assigned with SAP_ALL? This is definitely not a good place for top mgt to view the report since it is not reflecting the "accurate" situation of the system. Right?
Is risk analysis->user analysis, role analysis the "right" place for top mgt to view the reports then? Please advice.
    Question 2:
When I change the background job parameters for Batch Risk Analysis with specific usergroup and specific role range, why it doesnt reflect in the mgt view->risk violations? it still show me all the users in the systems and not the range of users that i specified.
    Thanks.

    Hi Annie,
For your first question check this thread -
GRC 5.3 Zero Violations & unable to exclude critical profiles
    Regards,
    Sabita

Could you please let me know why does it happening ? During installation of the system I have done Performance Optimization according SAP Notes. Instead of this again and again we are facing this problem.
But If I do Batch Risk Analysis One by One, let say First we have done User Analysis with Mgmt Report next has been done Role Analysis then profile, according to that we got the successfull result.

    Dear Alpesh,
Good to hear you from sdn.
Yes, It works properly when I have scheduled some of the profile and some of the Roles along with Management Report.
It does not work when I have shecduled all the Roles and Profile together.
So what would be your suggestion for Batch Risk Analysis ?
    Thanks

  • Two time dimensions in one cube

    Hi all,
I have the requirement to create a cube for customer mgmt reports. People want to report on registrations and terminations of customers.
So in my cube I need two references to my time dimension (called dim_time). I tried it out and owb accepts the two references to dim_time, automatically renaming the second dimension to dim_time_1. Deployment and loading is also fine.
So from a testing perspective this seems to be the right way of doing it. Has anyone else done something like this and did you see any problems later on?
I want to be save before I go to production.
Another question is about outer join of the second dim_time reference for termination date. All people have a registration date, but most (hopefully) don’t have a termination date. But all of them shall be loaded to the cube. I have not seen a possibility to influence the joins at the cube operator. What’s possible there ?
    Regards,
    Knut

In order to do two references to the same dimension, you could create two roles in the time dimension. Then, in the cube you can refer to each role. Actually, it's the same you have done, the only difference is using roles make the model easier to understand, because you can give a friendly name to each role.
The second point is about referencing a null date. I think there is no way to do that using the cube object. In these cases, I use to create a date like '31/12/9999' and doing a reference to that. Inside the map you can use an expression with something like that: to_date(NVL(your_date, '31129999'), 'ddmmyyyy'). And, of course, do not forget to insert this date in the dimension.
It's not common to have null data in DW. Any exception should be identified and documented, for example, "Not Available", "Unknown", etc.

  • ODS vs DWH vs DM

    hi guru
whats diff between ODS vs DWH vs DM?
    anand

    hi anand
    DSO
    - Acts as source to populate DW and marts
    - Often used for operational reporting
    - Detailed, atomic data
    - Huge data volumes
    - Integrated, clean data
    - Cross-functional and cross-departmental
    - Supports data mining
    - May use denormalized form modeling (NOT dimensional)
    DWH
    - Provides mgmt reporting
    - Summarized data
    - Tuned to optimize query performance
    - Multiple departments or processes
    - May act as staging area for data marts
    - Uses dimensional data modeling
    DMart
    - Specific application or workgroup focus
    - Narrow scope
    - Customized or stand alone analysis
    - Interactive query
    - Highly summarized
    - Single subject and department oriented
    - Uses dimensional data modeling

  • Effect on BW Storage Capacity when BW statistics cubes are activated

    Hi..
When BW statistics(technical content) is activated, is there a large effect on the BW storage capacity? As of now we are less space in BW(available is 20 GB), I want to know how much space these technical content will occupy so that I can decide if to activate them or not.
Is there any good document which shows the sizing estimate of activating the technical content.
    Thanks,
    Sai.

A.H.P. and Buddhi have already provided what you need to know.
    Coupe of other tidbits -
RSDDSTATAGGRDEF is the largest of the tables, as it is collecting InfoObject usage for each navigation. It gets loaded to the 0BWTC_C03 cube.
The purge of the RSDDSTAT* tables, as Buddhi mentions allows you to specify a date to purge older data.  It deletes data older than the specified date from all of teh RSDDSTAT tables.  The process goes thru and runs a delete query table by table.  It should generall be run off hours as it can result in some rather large delete queries.
You can also run selective deletions from the statistics cubes to only retain as much history as you need there.
This stuff is all pretty granular so you have to think about how long you need to retain it.  I have created a ZBWTC_C51 cube that I load summarized data to from the 0BWTC-C02 cube.  I retain history in the summary cube for a long time for mgmt reporting on query volume and performance trends at a monthly time grain.  This lets me reduce the amount of history I retain the more detailed cubes.  It really depends on what kinds of reporting you need to provide.
