Inactive infopackage

Hello,
   I have transported a infopackage from development to QA system. This infopackage is based on the infoobject 0chrt_accts. This info-object is linked to the 0chrt_accts_attr as well as 0chrt_accts_text data sources. After transporting to QA, I have noticed that the 0chrt_accts_text is active (shows in green color), but the attribute infopackage is inactive (shows in white).
   When I click on the infopackage I see the following message.
DS 0CHRT_ACCTS_ATTR from SS EQ1CLNT110 does not exist or is not assigned in IS 0CHRT_ACCTS
I can confirm that the datasource is active and also it has been replicated to BW QA system and but still I receive this error message. When I have transported the infopackage, I ensured that I included the communication structure, transfer structure along with the infopackage. I have also noticed that the transport has been immported successfully.
Can anyone tell me why the infopackage is inactive? What can I do to fix the problem?

Are the transfer rules active in QA?Please double click on the relevant source system under the infosource and check after changing dropdown to show the required datasource.
Message indicates that transfer rules assignment is somehow wrong in QA.
Could u also try creating a fresh infopackage in QA by right clicking on the source system?

BI Admin Cockpit - 0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01 has Inactive Infopackages

Hi SDN,
Basis recently installed BI Admin cockpit for BI Statistics. I am running test loads using the process chains.
The Process chain Content Master Data (0TCT_MD_C_FULL_P01) is displaying as inactive. When i go into change mode, I notice that 4 infopackages are red (inactive). Here are the displaying error messages:
-Process variant LOADING 0PAK_BFYU3MMMU2T2WOI50MXHCEH07 does not exist in version A
-InfoPackage no longer exists in object version A in table RSLDPIO
-Variant '0PAK_BFYU3MMMU2T2WOI50MXHCEH07' of process type 'LOADING' not found in A version
How do I correct these errors? Do I have to go into table RSLDPIO and edit the table entries for the InfoPackage or do I need to reactive these Infopackages from BIC (RSA1->BIC)? I also see that there are notes 834280, 1069134, and 1008758 which deal with BI Admin Cockpick installation.

We're facing exactly the same issue under BI_CONT 747...
Trying to activate objects in error manually from Business Content.
(Re)Activate DataSource 0TCTIFAREA_TEXT and 0TCTAPPL_TEXT using RSA5 then Replicate and reactivate via RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL.
Migrate to 7.x 0TCTIFAREA_TEXT and 0TCTAPPL_TEXT and restart the program RSTCT_ACTIVATEADMINCOCKPIT_NEW.
=> Log w/o any error.
But DTP_7KU36MOUFNCF0QSFCIHAD5VH9 and DTP_7KU36MOUFNCF0QSCQUJW97MB6 still not active and not reachable in BCT.
I have just found this SAP Note !

Dispite these recommandations, the DTP_7KU36MOUFNCF0QSFCIHAD5VH9 and DTP_7KU36MOUFNCF0QSCQUJW97MB6 are missing in the BCT.
WorkAround --> Create your own DTPs and replace the bad ones in the Process Chain.

Inactive filter in the infopackage

Hi,
There is a problem with the restrictions of the objects, specifically with the filters of infopackages, in PROD. All fields are inactive in filter and i can't change any of them. Where could i find some settings to change filter to 'modifiable'?

goto the workbench. then to the transport connection; in the tool bar, you have a button 'object changeability'. click on it, and you can change the setting for the infopackages.

BI 7.0 data load issue: InfoPackage can only load data to PSA?

BI 7.0 backend extraction gurus,
We created a generic datasource on R3 and replicated it to our BI system, created an InfoSource, the Transformation from the datasource to the InfoSource, an ODS, the transformation from the InfoSource to the ODS.
After the transformation creation between the InfoSource and the ODS is done on this BI system, a new folder called "Data Transfer Process" is also created under this ODS in the InfoProvider view. In the Data Transfer Process, in the Extraction tab, picks 'Full' in the field Extraction Mode, in the Execute tab, there is a button 'Execute', click this button (note: so far we have not created InfoPackage yet) which sounds like to conduct the data load, but find there is no data available even if all the status show green (we do have a couple of records in the R3 table).
Then we tried to create an InfoPackage, in the Processing tab, find 'Only PSA' radio button is checked and all others like 'PSA and then into Data Targets (Package by Package)" are dimmed! In the Data Target tab, find the ODS as a target can't be selected! Also there are some new columns in this tab, 'Maintain Old Update Rule' is marked with red color 'X', under another column 'DTP(S) are active and load to this target', there is an inactive picture icon, that's weird since we have already activated the Data Transfer Process! Anyway, we started the data load in the InfoPackage, and the monitor shows the records are brought in, but since in the Process tab in the InfoPackage, 'Only PSA' radio button is checked with all others dimmed that there is no any data going to this ODS! Why in BI 7.0, 'Only PSA' radio button can be checked with others all dimmed?
Many new features with BI 7.0! Any one's idea/experience is greatly appreciate on how to load data in BI 7.0!

You dont have to select anything..
Once loaded to PSA in DTP you have the option of FULL or DELTA ,full loads all the data from PSA and DELTA loads only the last load of PSA.

Routine for multiple selection in infopackage???

hello guys
I thought of creating one routine for Multiple selections aT Infopackage level....in Selections screen in infopackage,I found one option 'Use Conversion routine' with a check box and it is inactive.....Is it here I need to write my routine inorder to get multiple selection for a infoobject....or is it somehwhere else?How to activate thisoption?

Hi,
Conversion routines are used in the BI system so that the characteristic values (key) of an InfoObject can be displayed or used in a different format to how they are stored in the database. They can also be stored in the database in a different format to how they are in their original form, and supposedly different values can be consolidated into one.
This will be there at info object level.
Eg : ALPHA: Fills purely numeric fields from the left with zeroes (0).
For multiple selections at info package , in data selection tab under type , u need to select 6 and write the code to select the value.When info package runs it takes the value from routine dynamically and extracts the data based on selection.
Eg: There is a field FISCAL PERIOD For data selection, if u write the code to select current fiscal period. then whenever info package runs it extracts the data for current fiscal period from data source to PSA.

Data target error when opening InfoPackage (not loadable)

Hi,
I have transported my objects from the development environment to QA environment, but now when I try to open one specific InfoPackage (in QA) to schedule a data load to an DSO, I receive the following error:
Data target 'P_USUARIO ' removed from list of loadable targets; not loadable RSM 33
Data target 'P_USUARIO ' is not active or is incorrect; no loading allowed RSM 36
I tried to run RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL program before realizing that it is not relevant in NW04s and I tried to transport many times again this specific data target with no success.
Any suggestion??

Hi:
The program you ran is for Transfer Structure.
The error you are gettign is for an Inactive Update Rule.
If the infopackage is loading several data targets and an update rule is inactive, then, you have take off laoding to that Update Rule in Infopackage.
First, see which Update Rule is Inactive. Look in all the tabs of infopackage and you will find it.

Inactive DataSource in Production System

I have a situation where DataSource inactive once I initialise infoPackage.we transported from Development to Production and it was active (green) in Production System.I tried to initialise infoPackage then I got the message

1. Replicate the datasource at Application component Level. i.e. If your datasource is in an application component say, BW then right click on the application component "BW" and select "Replicate Metadata".
2. If you have transfer rules then activate them with program "RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL".
SE38 -> RS_TRANSTRU_ACTIVATE_ALL, if you are not able to do it, ask help from your basis to do it, they will have option to do changes directly in prodution itself.

BAdI implementation FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE inactive in source system DEV

Hi all.
I'm trying to execute an infopackage to get 0ASSET (texts delta initialization). But it shows me the next error message: "BAdI implementation FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE inactive in source system DEV".
But when I look at this BADI implementation in the source system (Transaction code se19) there are no errors on it.
"BAdI implementation FIAA_BW_DELTA_UPDATE does not contain any errors".
Do somebody knows what's happenning?

Generic Delta Extarctor has a field inactive

we have created a generic data source in which we have a delta for this field ERSDA and we also need selection in the infopackage for this field but the selection option in the data Source is inactive
it is inactive becuase we are having delta for that field
Can any one tell me how to make it active.

Hi nagesh,
if you have used a feild for delta pointer in datasource, we cannot have the same used for selection.
This is because, we are doing a selective identification of delta records and the same one cant be used agian to do a selective loading.

Reg: Inactive transformations

Hi All,
Some times while transporting objects into Productions, transformations getting inactive.
In that case to activate transformations, we will retransport inactive transformations or we will open the Client ( very rare cases) and makes the inactive transformation to active in the system.
For this shall we write a progarm to make inactive transformation to active version in production.
Can you please provide ideas how to start this.

i think might be the order of objects are not moving in sequence. while moving objects please make sure the order and this can be avoided.

Datasource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR inactive

Hi Experts,
We changed a data flow with DSO instead of Cube. I have created a DSO with Datsource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR and it was good. While creating, I have activated update rules which was not required in 7.0 flow. So I deleted that DSO and while deleting deleted the update rules and transfer rules for the datasource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR in Dev and released teh request to Quality. Now I see the datasource 2LIS_04_P_MATNR inactive in Dev and there are no infopackages under it. When I try to create infopackage , it says, No active transfer rule for DS 2LIS_04_P_MATNR and source system DU6CLNT010; create first... How to go about this and activate datasource? Or if I transport the request backwards from Quality to Dev, will it work? Please advice.

Thanks for your response. It's a 3.x emulated Data source, now when I try to create Info package, it pops up a message :
No active transfer rule for DS 2LIS_04_P_MATNR and source system DU6CLNT010; create first...
If so , how to create transfer rules for an 3.x emulated Datasource, I didn't experience this? Kindly do suggest?

Daemon inactive for 20 seconds ? for RDA IPAK

We upgraded our BI system to 701, SP SAPKW70108.
We have been running a real time IPAK for years. Now with the upgrade, it stopped working.
I am not aware of RDA IPAKs and Daemons.
After reading the douments, I somehow created and started the Daemon. It should post data only to PSA. I didn't add to DTP.
The job is running every 15 mnts in SM37, Its not posting any data. and i see in the Job log, the daemon is inactive. What that means ?

I observed with the upgrade, the Functioin module listed in the IPAK is no more in the system. Is it really a function module or message type ? Our XI consultant has done that work and he is no more with the company. Is that message type consists of mapping rules ? If so, where its maintained ?

Hi,
I feel its because of the Function Module and WebService which are auto generated while creating Daemon.
Ask your BASIS team to revert back to old Patch and make a note of the pre-requisites of Daemon. Subsequently, ask them to upgrade to the mentioned version.

The infopackage which loads either master/transactional data may get fail due to various reasons:
Few of them are:
1.SID Issue
2.Transfer rules or update rules inactive
3.Datasource replication error
4.Duplicate Records
5.Short dumps
6.Job termination in the source system
7.Alpha confirming value
8.Time overlapping error
Please check SDN , Sap library and OSS notes for more clarity on cause and solution to above problems .
Well, If any infopackage got failed , it can be identified in the monitor screen >>>details tab>> check at what stage it got failed
1.Extraction (messages): .............
2.Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): (TRFC stuck)
3.Processing (data packet): at transfer rules/update rules
In the Infopackage,if Update mode is set to delta ,it is MANDATORY to set the QM status of the load to red and delete the requets from all the data targets.(for update mode:Full ,not needed),
Now ,rectify the error due to which the infopackage got failed...........
Repeat the Infopackage,check finally the correct load reached to the target and report availability symbol populated or not(for ODS ,after ODS activation the symbol pops up)

IF-statement in Personas that is checking if control is inactive?

I have this simple script in screen personas that is clicking the option: "Attachment list". Everything is working great if there is attachments.
If there are no attachments the option is "inactive" or "greyed out". This will result in a script error.
I thought this was going to be an easy fix by adding IF statement to the the script. But howerver I specify the critera for the IF statement the script will always try to click the Attachment list. The condition will simply always be TRUE.
Am I missing something here or is it not possible at this time to script an IF statement that is checking if the control is inactive or similar?

There is another way, but it will get a little tricky.
Outside of the transaction IE03 you can check for the existence of attachments for a piece of equipment by looking in table SRGBTBREL. Field TYPEID_A will be "EQUI" and field INSTID_A will be the equipment number, zero-padded on the left to 18 characters long. Use SE16 to look in the table and you'll get the idea.
You could wrap this test in an RFC-enabled ABAP function and call that from your Personas script button. Use the return value from that RFC to decide if attachments exist or not and how the script should respond. Details for how to write such an RFC and call it from a Personas script are in this blog: Calling RFCs from a Personas script.
Like I said, this isn't straightforward and perhaps Personas scripting should include an active/inactive test in addition to the exists/doesn't exist test. Until then, however, there is a way if you don't mind a bit of ABAP programming.

Loading Infopackages one at a time (i.e. one by one)

Dear All BI Experts,
We are implementing SCM5.1 with BI7.0
We load a cube in BI with daily forecast data from APO, but unfortunately we have spotted one of the dates is wrong, so the data in the cube has been summing up incorrectly.
That has now been fixed via the transformation, so what I want to do is reload the cube but with one Infopackage at a time (not all eight as are queued up now).
Does anyone know how to load packages one by one?
Any help will be greatfully received.

There is an ancient solution i am sorry if my mind working as ancient guy. But let me share my though here
As i suggested Just run the DTP between Data source and Cube with Get request by request delta option with below process
Say suppose you have 18 requets in PSA
when you run the DTP first time its trying to fetch the records one by one till 18 th so you can manually red teh process and delete the unwanted requests and then change the transformations date related info and then again run the DTP this time it will try to fetch the request from 2-18 so after loading of second request break the load by changing the QM ststus of DTP if its not possible then go to the target cube mange from there stop the data load then reomev the requests which ever present other than 2 remove 3-18
and then again repeat the process
318 break the load delete the requests 418
4--18 " " " "
Repeat the process till all the requests got finished... and finally cross verify weather all the requests got loaded or not..
