This line of code is still covering the page.
I don't know what element is "doing this job" but it still prevents your links from working.

    Do you meant a link to one of your other pages or to a location on one of your pages?  If it's the latter those are called anchors and iWeb does not support them.  However, there are workarounds for that.  See this blog: How to use anchors in iWeb.  If you don't have a lot of widgets on the page it can work fairly well.

  • Internal hyperlinks only work aftger refressing the page with Firefox 16.0.2.

    Using JIRA we can not focus on the internal hyperlink until the page has fully displayed. Once the page loaded then a refresh is required to jump to the link. Other browsers IE8, IE9 and Chrome work with out issue.

    Yes, I can. But not with Adobe Reader.

  • Using PDF Pack to convert a .docx document containing internal hyperlinks

    I just used PDF Pack to convert a .docx document to pdf format. The document contained a hyperlink to a bookmark within the document. The text converted OK, and the hyperlinked text was underlined, but not active. Clicking on the hyperlinked text did nothing. It seems that internal hyperlinks don’t convert using this software.
    Thanks for any advice

    Hi,
    When you export your PDF file to Word file please select .doc format option rather than docx format for MS Word.
    Thank you.

  • Back button for internal hyperlinks?

    I've created internal hyperlinks with IBA (to other chapters in the text) and for the most part, they work. But there is no back button? Help! And thanks!

    true, IBA books do not have a back better, per se. However, tap on the bookmark icon and you will see a section called "Recenlty viewed". It can be used to navigate back after a user taps on an internal link.

  • Internal Hyperlinks

    I would like to see the hyperlink feature expanded similiar to how MS OneNote is now working. I would like to be able to internally link parts of my project together with hyperlinks and not necessarily external URLs.
    For example, in my project I have a character named Bob.  I make a detailed character bio for Bob in my project.  The first time (or evertime I want) Bob is introduced in my script, I'd like to see that as an internal hyperlink to Bob's Character Bio page.
    Another example, say I'm writing, shooting, driecting the whole shabang, and the shot sequence is flooding my imagination.  It's currently frowned upon to put the shot sequences in the script, but you don't want to loose the creative moment as your mind's eye sees it.  I'd like to be able to create a new "Shot Sequence" in the project section and hyperlink that to my Scene Heading (or anywhere else it floats my boat).
    Not just being able to create a new shot sequence in my project, but ANY NUMBER OF THINGS--such as a music sequence, lighting instructions, notes on the mood/emotion of the shot, etc.... I guess the notes could work for some short one-liners, but if you have a 3-page shot sequence for a chase scene, you don't want to put that in the note section.

    In a production meeting for my experimental short I am working on using Story, I was discussing the idea of adding images as a sort of tag to the script for me to link location photos in to the script for my DP and other crew to get ideas from.  My assistant brought up several other uses that might be great to have like links to exterior web sites for costuming details, location photos and even links to other movies I can refer to inside the script.  While I simply thought dropping an internal link to the images was a great idea I can see dozens of reasons to allow a metadata tag that is a link to external web based pages.
    In fact, I could create a special web site to hold specific images for props, costumes, etc onm my own and link to that page in Story if Hyperlinks were added.
    This is another great idea.

  • Internal Hyperlinks and licences

    Hi
    We us ES4 produce PDFs and would like to have internal hyperlinks - eg: click on a heading in the contents page and it takes you to the relevant page.
    We've been told by a contractor that we can do this but would need to upgrade our licence to do it.  We currently have the "Output" licence.  Does anyone know what licence we'd need to do this - or preferably, if there's a way to do the internal hyperlinks on our current licence?
    Thanks
    Dan

    Hi Dan
    Have a look at this approach Adobe LiveCycle Designer Cookbooks by BR001: Using the Doc.scroll method in a LiveCycle Designer Form
    I'm not sure what you mean by license as this is just part of LiveCycle Designer and the scripting it supports.

  • Internal hyperlinks within Apple Mail

    Does anyone know how to create internal hyperlinks within Apple Mail?
    For instance, I want to put something like "contents" at the start of an email where I can click on the title
    Content 1
    Content 2
    Content 3
    to bring me to the paragraphs below
    Content 1
    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
    Content 2
    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
    Content 3
    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
    blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
    Thanks! Much appreciated.

    I think you would probably have to create an HTML page with anchors and then "share" that via e-mail. While HTML does support this, and Apple Mail supports HTML e-mail, such a thing was never intended. Modern e-mail is big hack-job. It is unlikely that such an e-mail message would really work in practice the way you expect.

  • Moving text when creating an internal hyperlink

    Can someone help me figure out why my text is moving when I am creating an internal hyperlink? Please and THANK you!

    I'm going to take a wild guess that the problem is in the CSS definition for your menu, which generally will use <li> tags for each menu item.
    The following CSS is often used to make the menu items appear side by side.
    display: inline-block;
    LATER: Now I see that you apparently have two or three forum threads for the same issue. That will just confuse things.  Looking at your website, the menu items are lined up horizontally on the right, so I don't understand what the problem is.

  • [CS3][JS] Internally hyperlinking a document

    Hi All,
    I'm trying to internally link a document by section numbers.  Our books have what we call an analysis, which is basically a mini-table of contents at each chapter.  The idea was to link the analysis to the section headings, starting longest section numbers first. And, their may be multiple sources linking up to one destination.
    An example of the section numbers is 53-129a.  I used a search to find all the section numbers - app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "(53.\\d\\d\\d\\l+)";
    It seems to find all the section numbers as expected, but when it gets to the final loop where it actually does the linking, it ignores the letter at the end of the section numbers and I get an error because it tries to create multiple source links to 53-129a.
    An example document is attached and the full script is below.  I've run out of ideas; please let me know if you can help.
    Thanks,
    Mike
    var myDoc = app.activeDocument
    var myHyperlinkStyle = myDoc.characterStyles.item("hyperlink");
    //Link destination:
    app.findGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.changeGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = "(53.\\d\\d\\d\\l+)";
    app.findGrepPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "Catchline"  //catchlines are the section headings
    var myFoundCatchline = app.activeDocument.findGrep();
    for (var z = myFoundCatchline.length-1; z >= 0; z--){
    //$.writeln (myFoundCatchline[z].contents)
    var myHyperlinkDestination = myDoc.hyperlinkTextDestinations.add(myFoundCatchline[z])
    //Link source(s):
    app.findGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.changeGrepPreferences = NothingEnum.nothing;
    app.findGrepPreferences.findWhat = myFoundCatchline[z].contents
    app.findGrepPreferences.appliedParagraphStyle = "Analysis"
    var myFoundAnalysis = app.activeDocument.findGrep();
    for (var i = myFoundAnalysis.length-1; i >= 0; i--){
      //$.writeln (myFoundAnalysis[i].contents)
      var myHyperlinkTextSource = myDoc.hyperlinkTextSources.add(myFoundAnalysis[i])
      var myHyperlink = myDoc.hyperlinks.add (myHyperlinkTextSource, myHyperlinkDestination, undefined)
      myHyperlink.visible = false
      myFoundAnalysis[i].appliedCharacterStyle = myHyperlinkStyle

    Could this maybe have something to do with plugins?
    I had a similar problem before on the desktop version. I couldn't create a package because the file was created on an InDesign which had plugins I didn't have.
    Our server uses some plugins, but since the packaging is done by the same server, this shouldn't be a problem I guess.
    I tried to delete contents from the original INDD file to see if fonts, links or other things were creating the problem. Now I've got an INDD file wich is as good as empty, and it still won't package on the server. If I try to do this on my InDesign CS3 desktop version it works.
    Last thing I noticed in the instructions file, it says:
    FILE PACKAGE LIST
    1. 26a.indd; type: Adobe InDesign publication; size: 0K
    The size of the original document is about 1Mb, why would it say 0 Kb ?
    I really hope someone knows what is causing this.
    Thanks,
    Dany

  • Ran traffic blazer and was told I have no internal hyperlinks? unspiderable

    I just ran Traffic Blazer on my site and was told it has no internal or external hyperlinks (which it does) and that there is a robot.txt file that disallows spidering. How do I fix this so I am searchable?

    This is not entirely true.
    Search engine optimization refers to changing your website so that it has the best possible chance to rank high in search engines for your targeted keywords. Nobody knows the internals of a search engine so it is impossible to guarantee top rankings. HOWEVER, you can still make your website search engine friendly and this is VERY important especially for iWeb sites that are not made to be search engine friendly.
    In fact, Google provides a PDF Beginners SEO Guide to help people learn how they can better optimize their sites for search engines. You can get it at this link and our tools let you do almost everything they recommend;
    http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2008/11/googles-seo-starter-guide.htm l
    There are sites that are search engine friendly and those that are not. You want to make sure your site is search engine friendly and the links that I provided will help you do this. We provide SEO tools specifically made for iWeb that are completely free to use because we want iWeb users to have a chance of ranking high. Basically we have tried to take the advice provided by Google and apply it easily to iWeb sites.
    Search engines are open about how they rank pages to an extent. HOWEVER their algorithms are made in such a way that it is almost impossible to manipulate them easily. For example, Google will recommend you have lots of high quality links. The problem is that getting high quality links is not easy.
    That's why you may think SEO is "voodoo". Its certainly NOT "voodoo" as all search engines, even Google, recommend you do it and even provide the resources for you to do so.
    If you have any questions feel free to visit the above website I posted and send me an email. I will be happy to help.

  • Problem changing an internal hyperlink to new destination

    I am working with a document (77 pages) originally created in InDesign CS5.5 on a Mac.  I'm now working with it on InDesign CS6 on a Mac OS 10.7.4.
    I need to update the destination of several existing hyperlinks in the document's table of contents.
    One problem is that the hyperlinks panel doesn't show that the document contains any existing hyperlinks in the Links panel, which is strange.  When I export the document as an interactive PDF, the entire table of contents is linked to internal pages.
    Here are the steps I have taken:
    I highlight the (existing hyperlink) text in the document's table of contents
    Choose New Hyperlink Destination -> Type-> Page.
    Select the  Page #
    Set Zoom Setting to Fixed.
    Save the document.
    Export an interactive PDF.
    The link does not update to the new page # I selected.
    I do not have the option of creating a New Hyperlink, since it is greyed out.
    I've exported as an IDML and repeated all the steps.  No differnce.
    Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
    Kathryn

    If you create a Table of Contents through the TOC function, this automatically creates a hyperlink, and the destination is defined at the time of TOC generation. These hyperlinks do not show in the Hyperlinks panel, like manually created links. You will not be able to redirect the destination in Indesign. The TOC links are visible in Acrobat by selecting the Link tool and editing the destination there, but not recommended for many destination changes. In the event that content was moved to different pages in ID, and manual edits made to the TOC, the destinations of these hyperlinks are probaly not correct. You could remove all extraneous hyperlinks and regenerate a TOC with new link and destinations created, and see if this corrects issue.
