Inbound delivery goods movement status.

Hi,
Goods receipt is posted against an inbound delivery. Goods movement status shows as completed (Status C) in VL33N transaction. However when I look at delivery status in the table VBUP it shows the goods movement status as A.
Does any one of you faced this issue. If faced what would be the root cause..?
Is there any OSS notes available to correct this issue..?
Please let me know your thoughts
Thanks
Umakanth

Hi Fernando,
Which transaction are you using for the posting?
Please, consider that Inventory Management Transactions (MBxx, MIGO, etc) do not update the Inbound delivery status and document flow.
If you use a Shipping Transaction like VL32N for the receipt, then this should update the delivery.
You can see the SAP Note 199703 about this.
As of Release ERP 6.0, MM transactions can update the inbound delivery if this has been activated in the customizing.
See the Note 1050944 in this regard:
"As of ERP 6.0, you can use inventory management transactions (MB0A, MIGO, MBST) to carry out the goods receipt for inbound deliveries in the standard SAP system in such a way that the inbound delivery that is relevant for goods movement is updated.(...)".
If you are in this release or higher you might want to see this note.
I hope this helps!
Esther.

Can anyone explain, why it happened like this??

    Hi
It may be due to some inconsistency. Please run the report RVDELSTA from SE38 to solve the status issue

  • Goods Movement status of delivery not updated from C to A

    Hi
I am facing a peculiar problem.
We reversed goods issue using VL09 however the goods movement status of the delivery has not been updated. The GM status is still showing C- Completely processed.
If we are trying to repeat the process again thinking that reversal has not been done using VL09 for that particular delivery error message is displaying already the goods reversed.
Here we are missing the link. Though the goods reversed status has not been reflecting in the delivery.

    1)  First check in MB51 with movement type 602 whether you could see the delivery reference
    2)  Next go to VOV7, select your item category and see what is maintained for the field "Completion Rule".  It should have been "B".
    3)  Next go to VTLA, select the item category for the combination of your order type and delivery type and see whether you have maintained "+"  for the field "Pos./neg. quantity"
    thanks

  • The total goods movement status not changed after goods receipt using MIGO

    Dear gurus:
when i use T-code MIGO doing goods-receipt against Inbound delivery, the total goods movement status don't changed. i tryed VL32N to do goods receipt, and the status changed.
how can i do to make the status change when i receive goods in MIGO against inbound delivery?
    best wishes,

    Hi,
If your MM is integrated with WM (SU mgt or HUM) you have to post the GR with Inbound delivery.

  • Form display based on Goods movement status

    Hi all,
Delivery note should be printed only when VBUK-WBSTK (Total Goods movement status) is equal to C (Completely processed). Can this be done in a Smartform? If so how?

    Hi,
Check the condition in driver program before calling the smartform. So that it will call the smartform based on condition.

  • Total goods movement status using structure 'LEDLVSTATDISPHEAD'

    Hi,
I'm trying to get the 'Goods movement status' for a Delivery once PGI posting is done. However the tables VBUK & VBUP maintain this status at Sales order line item level. This doesn't give the correct picture in cases where there are more than 1 Delivery for a Sales order line item.
At Delivery level the 'Goods movement status' leads to a structure 'LEDLVSTATDISPHEAD'
Please advice how to get a field value (for goods movement status) using this structure ...
    Thanks & Rgds,

  • Total goods movement status in SD module

    hi all,
wht is "Total goods movement status" is SD module .
can u explain me with an example and how can i use it in creating open return orders.
    thanks

Can we do PGI from VL03N?  I dont think it is possible.  I can see that the PGI option is always in disabled mode in VL03N.
You can only do PGI from VL02N
Can you check whether a material document was created by clicking on  the document flow from VL03N ?  What happens when you do the PGI for the same delivery again in VL02N?

  • Inbound delivery goods receipt

    G'day All,
We have just implemented WMS and use both EDI and manual ASN's for Purchase Orders.
Pre WMS we would receipt the Inbound Delivery via MIGO and if the receipt amount is outside the Confirmation Control Key tolerance for KG's we would receive a message. ie "PU Ordered quantity exceeded by xxx KG".
Now we are using WMS and before we Goods Receipt, for each Inbound Delivery we also create an Inbound Transfer Order using VL06I “For Putaway”.
BUT now when we use VL06I (instead of MIGO) to confirm and Goods Receipt in ONE step by using “For confirmatn”.
For each inbound delivery we choose confirm in background and use option 2 in Adopt Putaway qty (Copy stock plcmt qty as deliv.qty into delivery and post GI).
The problem is we do NOT receive the error message we did in MIGO. The Inbound TO is confirmed but the GR fails but we don’t know anything about it until we discover a negative amount in our interim GR Storage Type.
If we do it in two steps and use option 1 (Stock placement qty adopted into delivery as delivery qty) which confirms the TO first, then use “For gds receipt” we get the error message.
Can anyone help me with ideas on getting the message to display in VL06IC “For confirmatn” When we confirm the TO and GR in one step? We do not want to use the 2 step method as our Despatch department is already overworked and they will rebel and take the easy way out, leaving our inventory controllers with large headaches!
    Thankyou
    Luke

    Hi
If you are carrying out a Put away against the inbound delivery first and confirming the TO the negative balance is normal as IM Does not know it has arrived yet.
Once the Put away is completed you need to go back to the inbound delivery and Post Goods receipt. This will show the stock in IM and remove the negative.
    Reason
Because you are putting the stock away before you inform IM then the stock has to come from somewhere and as the movement type is 101 it creates a negative qty in 902. The post goods issue will post corresponding qty in 902 and cancel out the negative.
    I hope that this helps

  • Create inbound delivery for movement type 542 in version 4.7

I have been given a requirement for a third party managed warehouse to receive notification of pending return of unused subcontract materials via movement type 542.  A trigger in the SAP system, whatever it may be, would be transmitted to the warehouse via interface.  The logical choice to me is an inbound delivery, but this is a 4.7 system, and the storage location in SAP is not warehouse managed or handling unit managed.  Creating the outbound delivery to send the material to a subcontract vendor is easy via ME2O, but I have been unable to find a way to create the delivery for return of unused material via movement type 542.  I know that the inbound/outbound delivery process is now standard for all movements in ECC6, but I am having difficulty with this in 4.7.  Please let me know if anyone else has suggestions on this, or if there is a better alternative.  Maybe I'm just thinking about it too hard and overlooking something obvious.

    Hi All,
Issue is resolved as it is my fault as I have not tested properly.
    Thanks,
    Babu.

  • Reversing inbound delivery

    Hi gurus,
I've cancelled the Goods receipt document using MBST  but my Inbound delivery still has the goods movement status as complete. I tried reversing the reversal document using MBST and doing VL09, but nothing happens in VL09, my Inbound delivery goods movement status doesnot change. Can anyone please advise how to reverse the Inbound delivery .
    Thanks in advance
    Chris T

    Hi Experts,
I have similar case. The requirement is that whenever there is Quality rejection then automatically Inbound Delivery should get cancelled or system should allow to do Inbound delivery for next time (as a replacement for inital Q-Rejection) They don't want to delete Inbound del. manually.
I tried doing VL09 but it's not working. I did GR through tcode 'MIGO' (w.r.t Inbound Del.) --> VL09 (Rev Good Mvmt) then got error ''No data available for these selection criteria''.
Kindly suggest & give your inputs.

  • Post Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery using WHSCON IDoc

    Dear All
Currently I am working on a big project dealing with EDI connections to our logistics partner for the Export business. The entire message flow between Lindt and our partner should be via EDI. Our SAP release is (still) 4.6c.
We will create two kinds of despatch advice messages, one for inbound deliveries and one for outbound deliveries for customers.
I would appreciate your support in the following problem that I am facing with the inbound delivery scenario:
We create stock transport orders (purchase orders, POs) for the goods intended to be delivered into the plant at our partner
We create a delivery (type NL = replenishment delivery) for this POs
As soon as we post the goods issue we send the despatch advice (as EANCOM D96A DESADV message) to our partner.
At this point the delivery is basically completed, i.e. packing status (PS) and goods movement status (GM / GS) are equal to 'C' (= completed).
Our logistics partner uses the same EDI message to send us the goods receipts data, e.g.:
    We dispatched 50 units of a product => QTY:50:12
The partner received indeed 50 units => QVR:50:66
Please note that we do not use the QVR segment for the quantity difference (between despatched and received quantity) but it contains the received units. This way we avoid negative values in the QVR segment.
When the logistics partner sends back the DESADV message containing the received quantities (QVR segment) we want to make
the goods receipts for the products in the original stock transport order and
upate the message flow in the delivery
My idea was to transform the incoming DESADV message into a WHSCON.DELVRY03 IDoc based on the documentation in: [Delivery Interface|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/e2/654b15a9f411d184ec0000e81ddea0/content.htm]
In the delivery header control E1EDL18 I used QUALF = 'PGI' (Post goods issue).
I prepared an inbound WHSCON IDoc according to the documentation mentioned below. I managed to get some feedback from the Idoc processing implying that the system tried to do the goods receipt in the PO but failed.
To make a long story short here are my questions:
Can an inbound WHSCON IDoc used for doing both the goods receipt in the PO and the update of the message flow in the delivery?
Does anybody have an example on how to fill the WHSCON IDoc?
    Or is my approach a cul-de-sac ?
    Kind Regards
       Uwe
PS: A related question can be found here: Goods Receipt in PO AND Message Flow Update in Inb. Delivery using WMMBXY

    Hi Uwe,
Can an inbound WHSCON IDoc used for doing both the goods receipt in the PO and the update of the message flow in the delivery?
The binary answer would be no. You should use WMMBXY or MBGMCR instead.
But if we are doing goods receipt against Inbound delivery then answer is YES with additionally E1EDL18-QUALF = 'PIC' populated. But please remember no partial receipt is possible against Inbound Delivery.
We should populate E1EDL20-VBELN with our Inbound delivery number and line item info should go to E1EDL24.
I have done a similar interface recently where we are doing receipt against Inbound delivery. But our case was a bit complex because we had to support against Inbound delivery. So we had to go for a custom solution on top of IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

    Rudra

  • Goods Movement and Billing status at header level

    Hello,
Im new to this topic and have some very basic questions
Will WBSTK field be updated with goods movement status for a given sales order number in VBUK table ?
Similarly, will FKSTK/FKSTK or BUCHK will be updated with billing status ?
I know that for a given delivery document number, I can track the status at the item level.
But my aim is to know the overall goods movement and billing status at the order header level.
Any clues will be of great help.
    Thanking you in advance.
    Regards,
    Preethi

    Hi Preethi,
A sales order does not determine a billing status for delivery related billing, field VBUK-FKSTK is only determined for delivey.
    Just because of this, you will not find billing status field in VA03 -> goto header;
you could only find billing status field for delivery in VL03N -> status overview.
    Best regards,
    Crystal Lin

  • Delete inbound delivery against PO after goods recipt

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question regarding the link of Purchase Order and Inbound delivery status indicator.
This is my scenario. I had created a purhase order with qty 10, I have received GR using MIGo for 4 qty.
After one month I have created inbound delivery  for the reaining qty 6 against the same PO.
When I am trying to delete this delivery document system throughing the error message "cannot delete inbound delivery as the status of the document is partially completed".
why system linked the delivery document with previuos goods reciept?
how can I delete the inbound delivery?
    please suggest
    Thanks.
    Sreeram

    Sreeram,
From the PO, get the confirmation control key value from confirmation tab and go to SE16 on table T163G with this value. My guess is field WEREL for confirmation category LA has a value of "X". If this is the case, that explains the behavior as you described in your posting. When the inbound delivery is created, the program will update the quantity reduced field in the confirmation tab of PO by GR quantity (4 in your example). With this update, you can no longer delete the inbound delivery.
So to delete the inbound delivery, you will need to cancel the GR. Once the GR is cancelled, you should be able to delete the inbound delivery. Once the inbound delivery is deleted, you can re-post the GR so you stock data can be restored to its original value.
