Inbound Delivery Scenario

Hi ,
I am new to this AII field.I need some guidance regarding the Indbound document scenario.
I have tested the outbound scenario with AII test tool. Now i need to know what are the steps involved for inbound delivery scenario and what are the procedures to accomplish it.
Where can i find the procedure/steps on the above topic.
Help would be appreciated for sure.:-)

  • Post Goods Receipt for Inbound Delivery using WHSCON IDoc

    Dear All
Currently I am working on a big project dealing with EDI connections to our logistics partner for the Export business. The entire message flow between Lindt and our partner should be via EDI. Our SAP release is (still) 4.6c.
We will create two kinds of despatch advice messages, one for inbound deliveries and one for outbound deliveries for customers.
I would appreciate your support in the following problem that I am facing with the inbound delivery scenario:
We create stock transport orders (purchase orders, POs) for the goods intended to be delivered into the plant at our partner
We create a delivery (type NL = replenishment delivery) for this POs
As soon as we post the goods issue we send the despatch advice (as EANCOM D96A DESADV message) to our partner.
At this point the delivery is basically completed, i.e. packing status (PS) and goods movement status (GM / GS) are equal to 'C' (= completed).
Our logistics partner uses the same EDI message to send us the goods receipts data, e.g.:
    We dispatched 50 units of a product => QTY:50:12
The partner received indeed 50 units => QVR:50:66
Please note that we do not use the QVR segment for the quantity difference (between despatched and received quantity) but it contains the received units. This way we avoid negative values in the QVR segment.
When the logistics partner sends back the DESADV message containing the received quantities (QVR segment) we want to make
the goods receipts for the products in the original stock transport order and
upate the message flow in the delivery
My idea was to transform the incoming DESADV message into a WHSCON.DELVRY03 IDoc based on the documentation in: [Delivery Interface|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40/helpdata/en/e2/654b15a9f411d184ec0000e81ddea0/content.htm]
In the delivery header control E1EDL18 I used QUALF = 'PGI' (Post goods issue).
I prepared an inbound WHSCON IDoc according to the documentation mentioned below. I managed to get some feedback from the Idoc processing implying that the system tried to do the goods receipt in the PO but failed.
To make a long story short here are my questions:
Can an inbound WHSCON IDoc used for doing both the goods receipt in the PO and the update of the message flow in the delivery?
Does anybody have an example on how to fill the WHSCON IDoc?
    Or is my approach a cul-de-sac ?
    Kind Regards
       Uwe
PS: A related question can be found here: Goods Receipt in PO AND Message Flow Update in Inb. Delivery using WMMBXY

    Hi Uwe,
Can an inbound WHSCON IDoc used for doing both the goods receipt in the PO and the update of the message flow in the delivery?
The binary answer would be no. You should use WMMBXY or MBGMCR instead.
But if we are doing goods receipt against Inbound delivery then answer is YES with additionally E1EDL18-QUALF = 'PIC' populated. But please remember no partial receipt is possible against Inbound Delivery.
We should populate E1EDL20-VBELN with our Inbound delivery number and line item info should go to E1EDL24.
I have done a similar interface recently where we are doing receipt against Inbound delivery. But our case was a bit complex because we had to support against Inbound delivery. So we had to go for a custom solution on top of IDOC_INPUT_DELVRY.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

  • XI Configuration for AII Flexible Delivery scenario

    Hi,
I am configuring AII flexible Delivery scenario.I have succesfully tested the outbound delivery part and trying to run the ASN and inbound delivery in customer system.
I am using One XI system to achieve this scenario.
To achieve ASN and inbound delivery scenario,I have configured component view ASNElectronicLabelPost & ASNElectronicLabelEnrichment.
      I want to know
    1. what is the IDOC which is used to send the ASN from supplier system to XI?
<b>My answer:</b> The supplier's system send the IDoc DESADV.DELVRY05 or DESADV.DELVRY03. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Also what are the precautions which i need to take if I am using single XI system.
    Thanks and regards,
    Amit Deshpande

    >>>>>>>1. Send ASN
The supplier’s ERP system sends the IDoc DELINF.DELVRY03 or DELINF.DELVRY05 to the XI system (message interface DespatchedDeliveryNotificationOut).
    >>>as it's true
    >>>but with the info that I've mentioned (no EPC in case or delvry03)
My understanding was that the supplier system sends the Idoc DESADV.DELVRY03 or DESADV.DELVRY05 when a ASN is created in Supplier system.
Because when PGI happens i see the IDOC which get triggered is of type DESADV and not DELINF.. My understanding may be wrong.
I have made the changes suggested by you but my Supplier system is down for sometime now.
Is it necessary that both supplier as well customer system should use same type of IDOC ?
Does ECC 5.0 support DELVRY5.0? I cannt find it in my system but i have DELVRY04 which has the segment for EPC information. But this wont be supported by XI I believe in the integration scenario.
    Thanks and regards,

  • Creation of Inbound delivery mandatory for ASN process in classic scenario?

    Dear Experts,
We are going for classic scenario for our green field SRM implementation process. Our client is not using  ASN process in their existing MM process. However, they are now looking for an oppurtunity to enable Suppliers to trigger ASN using SUS. In such case, is creation of inbound delivery from Buyer side a mandatory process?
Is the below the process correct?
PO -> ASN (Supplier using SUS) -> Inbound delivery (Optional) -> Goods Receipt (Mandatory) -> Invoicing.
Here, I understand that Goods receipt can be verified against the PO or via Inbound delivery to PO. ASN will inform the store keeper in advance about impending goods receipt and smoothen the confirmation process.
Could you please comment on the above process? Could you please suggest the best practices followed here?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ranjan
    Ranjan Sutradhar

    Hey Ranjan!,
    You are on track.
The process flow you have shown is true. ASN is available as a standard as part of the MM-SUS process. It makes the buyer aware of any delays in delivery or to make arrangements on shipping docks to receive goods on a said date etc.

  • Configuration Scenario -  Inbound Delivery

    Configuration Scenario
How can this scenario be best configured on SAP?
This is how the client receives goods ordered:
A PO is created and sent to the relevant vendor.  The vendor does not deliver the goods directly to the client; the goods are delivered to a Transporting Company (responsible for delivering the goods to different clientu2019s site).
The problem here is monitoring the movements of the ordered material, from the vendor, to the transporting company till to the clientu2019s site.
The client requires some sort of control mechanisms on the movement of the ordered material from the point of the vendor in terms of when the vendor has sent the material to the transport company , to the point where the  Transporting company  receives the goods , to the point where the goods are being received at the clients site .
Whats the best way to configure this on SAP .?? Could this problem be solve through the Inbound delivery process , if there is a way please provide full details
Your help will be kindly appreciated

    Hi,
Using confirmation control key you can control different types of confirmations. For your scenario I would propose the following:
    - when Vendor issues the product, then initial confirmation (eg. standard 'AB') can be created
    - when products are delivered to transportation company, then inbound delivery (which is also available as confirmation 'LA' type) is created
    - naturally when goods arrive to final destination, goods receipt is posted, in this case against inbound delivery document
If you do not want to create inbound delivery, you can also create custom confirmation categories that can be entered against PO items directly.

  • Creation of inbound delivery without reference to a PO

    Dear gurus,
Let's say that a normal inbound flow is something like this:
PO > Create inbound delivery with reference to PO > inbound shipment > Transfer Order > Confirm Transfer Order > Post Goods Receipt > Putaway
    Issue:
My client does not want to create the PO because the PO serves no purpose to them. They want the process to start from inbound delivery.
    Question:
    1. Can a standalone inbound delivery be created WITHOUT reference to a PO ? If yes, please tell me the configuration and transaction code involved in order to create this standalone inbound delivery.
    2. Based on standard configuration, can an inbound delivery be created automatically with reference to a material document (for eg MIGO Mvt Type 501). Once again, for this scenario, no PO should be involved. If yes, please tell me the configuration and transaction code involved in order to trigger the creation of this inbound delivery (I'm not looking for the answer of an inbound delivery creation BAPI to being triggered directly after the creation of the Material Document).
    3. Based on standard configuration, can an inbound delivery be created manually with reference to a material document (for eg MIGO Mvt Type 501). Once again, for this scenario, no PO should be involved. If yes, please tell me the configuration and transaction code involved in order to create this inbound delivery.
    Thanks.

    Hi Peter,
Actually, my intention is not really to create an inbound delivery based on a goods receipt. Since my client is not keen on the idea of creating a PO, I'm actually trying to provide alternatives and workarounds. From what I have gathered, I already know this much
-> An inbound delivery must be created with reference to PO unless Handling Unit Management is activated. If Handling Unit Management is activated, the creation of a Material Document will trigger the creation of an inbound delivery (I havent tested this out yet). Therefore, a PO will not be necessary in this case.
I was kind of expecting answers along this line, unless of course, something better pops up. Maybe someone out there may know something more.
As for Handling Units, I'm not familiar with it. Hopefully somebody can give me a good configuration guideline on what to do in order to activate it so that I can simulate the scenario of a Material Document triggering the creation of an inbound delivery (I'm not looking for the kind of answers which simply cuts and pastes the SAP HELP URL, 4.6C Handling Unit PDF, Best Practice Document and etc). Hopefully somebody out there can really give me a good guideline on how to do this.
    Thanks..

  • ASN creation based on ECC inbound delivery

    Hi All,
I have a scenario in which we are creating an inbound delivery in ECC and corresponding ASN should be created in supplier system.
In order to achieve this functionality of ECC to supplier system is there any way to map this functionality through any custom development ?
    Kindly suggest
    Thanks
    Gaurav Gupta

    Hi,
What I understand from the requirement is - The Supplier dispatches the material to Purchasing company & informs about the same via ASN. This ASN triggers inbound delivery in ECC. When the material reaches the Purchasing Company, GRN is posted with reference to the Inbound Delivery.
    Is this correct?
If so, you can achieve this through RFC function, which can be called from vendor ERP system or through Vendor Portal by directly calling the RFC or by using Web Service.

    Prashant

  • Exit or Badi to prevent MIGO Goods Receipt on PO with Inbound Delivery

    Hi,
I am hoping that someone can provide me with some direction on how to prevent the use of MIGO for GR when the PO being received is (or should be) linked to an inbound delivery.
For purchase orders with a confirmation control key an inbound delivery is to be created and the goods receipt needs to be done from the inbound delivery. This scenario also includes the case of stock transport orders whereby an inbound delivery is created form the outbound delivery. On the other hand for purchase orders without a confirmation control key no inbound delivery is created and the MIGO transaction is to be used to post the goods receipt.
Since both processes are possible, I would like to prevent people from posting the GR using MIGO if certain conditions pre-exist.
Can anyone suggest a means to accomplish this goal? Is there an exit or badi in MIGO that you would suggest using?
    Thanks,

  • Inbound Delivery For Scheduling Agreement Lines using LSMW

    Hi,
We need to create inbound deliveries for scheduling agreements. Our scheduling Agreements are too big with 200 lines. But the vendor used to send only few discrete lines in his ASN. Is it possible to create inbound deliveries for the Scheduling agreement using LSMW? Is there any standard BAPI or IDOC available to handle this in LSMW? Has anyone done this before?
    Our requirement is as follows.
    1. Create Inbound Delivery for few lines of the Scheduling Agreement
    2. The delivery quantity of the inbound delivery will be a partial quantity of the Scheduling Agreement
    3. Materials are batch managed and the batch number for each inbound delivery item need to be captured.
    4. Vendor's ASN Number and its item number need to be captured at inbound delivery header and item level respectively.
Note: Delivery Schedule of the Scheduling Agreement is not used in the above scenario.
If you have any input, it will be really appreciated.
    Regards,
    SP0526

    Hi,
You can give your scheduling agreement number in the field Purchase Order.
If you want select from the list, you can click on PO tree (just under create inbound delivery). There selet document category as "L". You will get the scheduling agreement list.

  • Link between PO and Inbound Delivery -  Delivery confirmation

    Hi Gurus,
I have a question regarding the link of Purchase Order and Inbound delivery completed indicator.
This is my scenario. I had created a purhase order with qty 10, then i created a Inbound delivery with 8 qty then i did GR with reference to inbound delivery. Then looking at the purchase order , the PO is set to Delv. Completed. Looking also in the doc flow of the inbound delivery, the status is "complete".
Now , my question, if i go to VL31N and input the purchase order , i am still able to see the open qty which is "2". Is there is no way that the SAP will prompt me after i input the PO number in the VL31n as " Delivery completed" message or someting related to that. Since , in the PO its already Delv. completed?
    Thanks.

Check the toleance limits set in the delivery tab of purchase order. If the quanytity delivered is with in tolerance limits then system will set delivery completed indicator automatically.
Even though delivery completed indicator set you can further post the GR for remaining qty.
    Regards,

  • How to create shipment document with out inbound delivery document

    Dear Friends
How to create shipment document with out outbound/inbound delivery document.
In my client scenario, there is no inbound delivery for normal purchases.
Just there are raising the PO to vendor, then they are doing MIGO for goods receipt.
Can we do shipment creation with reference to PO?
If it is possible, how it will be?
    Please let it solve
    With regards
    Lakshmikanth

    Dear Sameer,
Please go to transaction VT01N here you enter Transportation planning point and shipment type then press enter.
Now system will take you to the shipment document creation screen here you click on Select deliveries or press F6 now system will take you to the select outbound deliveries screen in this screen you enter selection data then execute, now deliveries will get assigned to that shipment.
After assigning the deliveries enter the remaining data then complete the shipment finally save the shipment document.
For more information please go through this SAP help link
Note:- Shipment process need to be carry out for the deliveries before PGI.

  • Authorization  in purchase order(ME21N) and inbound delivery(VL31N)i

I have the following scenario and requirement:
there is a customer adopt concentrated procurement. the headquarter create purchase order and the branches create the inbound delivery. all the data including company code, purchase organization, purchase group and the plant are same except the information of goods receipt person we put in header text field.
now i want to control the authorization in VL31N depend on the goods receipt person or something related, how can do this? please kindly let me know?

    Hi,
You can use the storage location or shipping point as authorization control, these two should be different for different locations.

  • Creation of Inbound delivery without Order acknowledgment

    Hi,
We have a scenario where we raise Purchase order to Vendor. The Vendor sent the confirmation (Delivery date, qty, etc) via IDOC. This updates the Order acknowledgement and also the confirmation information in PO.
When the Vendo creates a Outbound delivery in this system, it sends another IDOC which creates a Inbound delivery automatically in my system.
In some cases the confirmation IDoc fails. We want that in such case the Inbound delivery should be created unless we get the correct confirmation.
In other words, system should not create Inbound delivery if order acknowledgement fails.
Is this possible in standard SAP

    Hi,
What is the reason for not generating inbound delivery without a confirmation? Wouldn't the business on receiving plant be interested in getting inbound delivery asap, so that they can plan their operations based on the incoming goods details?
I don't think you can control that simply from confirmation control key. There is the 'expected sequence' but it does not stop the process if you proceed without confirmation.
Note that there are lots of other complications if there was such a requirement. What if first item is fully confirmed, but another is not. Would you like to create inbound delivery only for the confirmed item?
And what for Scheduling Agreements? The confirmations/inbound deliveries are at item level only (and not at delivery schedule line). So you don't fully control what quantities were confirmed and which are still 'open' for confirmation.
If you want to apply such a logic, then most probably custom solution at inb. delivery creation would be required.

  • Inbound delivery creation with out reference to purchase order

As per my requirement i am third party warehouse who provides space for my customers . i receive  goods from lot of customers who have their own ERP system or may not be any ERP system . The goods i am going to receive is non valuated material. How do i receive GR in the above scenario.
I am thinking to create one dummy purchase order and then create inbound delivery. Otherwise How do i create inbound delivery without reference to any documents?.

    Hi,
    Inbound delivery
You can create  purchase Order(ME21N),inbound delivery in t.code: VL31N and Goods Receipt in t.code: VL06IG and post the goods wrt PO into the GR blocked stock (movement 103) and finally you can release goods from blocked stock to unrestricted stock with 105 Movement type, if satisfy quality or other criteriau2019s.
    Or
As you said, you just keeping customer stock better create material with non-valuated material type UNBW and do regular process like PO, GR & GI etc.Inbound delivery  not required for above said process.

  • Inbound delivery for Production Order in EWM

    Hi
We have a scenario of creating Inbound Delivery, Pack (HU), GR and Putaway via an interface in EWM from an external system. Basically the transaction of /scwm/grpi and /scwm/prdi. I found this below thread which is little old. Could you please confirm if this is the only process or is there a better solution.
    http://scn.sap.com/thread/1557452
    Any useful information would help.
    Thanks, Raj

    Hi
There is no straight FM or BAPI to do this. Have to go by the classes and methods the standard uses to create inbound delivery. It is based on BOPF framework. See the below note for a sample program that uses the same time of coding for outbound delivery.
1414179 - Technical documents for software development in EWM
FYI, the /SCWM/INB_DLV_SAVEREPLICA, cannot be used as this is for process if deliveries gets created in ECC first and  then EWM. Production receipt is the other way.
    hope this helps.
    Thanks, Raj
