Inbound processing of segment E1EDT13 - QUALF 499 in DESADV idoc
Dear all,
we are currently facing the problem, that we want to send customized deadline dates in a DESADV idoc into our system.
I set up the customizing accordingly, maintained the data in a outbound delivery and created an idoc out of it. I saw, that the segment E1EDT13 is filled using QUALF 499.
I took this idoc modified a few fields and sent it back as an inbound delivery.
This works, but E1EDT13 with qualifier 499 doesn't appear in the created inbound delivery.
I checked the coding of the inbound function modules concerning qualifier 499 and detected, that this qualifier is never considered in the coding.
Does SAP support the inbound posting of qualifier 499? If yes, how? Which function module will be used?
If no, does anyone have an idea/experience concerning inbound DESADV using qualifier 499 in segment E1EDT13?
Kind regards
Harry
PS: We are using a ECC 6.0 release.
Posted the wrong idoc type. Sorry

Inbound Delivery DELVRY03 Segment E1EDT13
I am able to create an Inbound Delivery using the Basic IDoc type DELVRY03 with correct Delivery Date in Segment E1EDT13 qualifier '007'.
However I am not able to populate the correct Document Date (LIKP-BLDAT) with qualifier '015' Document Date? The Delivery creates but the Document Date is todays date. Basically nothing is happening with the date in this segment.
Is there something else needed to get the Document Date to post from the IDoc?
Thanks in advance,
CraigThank you again for your input!
See below for Function Module code that appears to call out this Segment and should be processing the different qualifiers. Include I56IDOVA (pertinent extract below) appears to have the qualifiers present but doesn't process? Is it your belief that we will need to make changes to the processing code to correctly populate the Document Date?

Steps in Inbound Processing in ALE IDOC
Hi all,
Could anyone explain the steps to be followed in inbound processing in ALE Idoc.
I know we have to create a FM n then call that in a program. But still the detail steps are not clear.
An example will be really helpful.
ThanxHi
Outbound:
Step 1. Application document is created when transaction is saved.
2. Message control is invoked.
3. Messages are processed by system.
4. Messages are Edited (if desired).
5. Output (ALE / EDI) is checked
6. Validate against Message control record from Partner Profile
7. Application Document is saved.
8. Entry NAST table is created for every selected output program
along with Medium & Timing.
9. Check for Process Immediately .
If (yes)
Determine Processing Program from TNAPR Table.
ELSE
Execute RSNASTED Program.
10. Read Partner Profile to determine Process Code.
11. Process Code points to the Function Module & Invoked.
12. IDoc is generated.
13. Check for ALE Request.
if (Yes)
Perform Filters, Conversions, Version Changes etc.
Else.
IDoc is stored in DATABASE.
INBOUND:
Step 1. EDI Subsystem creates an IDoc file from EDI Messages
2. Subsystem calls Functional Module EDI_DATA_INCOMING from startRFC program.
3. Data in Control Record is validate against the Partner Profile.
4. IDoc is generated in Database and syntax check is carried out.
5. IDoc file is deleted once file read.
6. Event PROCESSSTATE REACHED is triggered in Idoc Object Workflow.
7. Check for Process Immediately.
If NO
Execute RBDAPP01 Program
Else
Read Process Code from Partner Profile
Process Code Points to Function Module
Application Document Posted.

Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
*Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
*IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.
WE30 - you can create a IDOC type.
An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.
FOr testing you can use WE19.
How to create idoc?

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
Outbound Process
Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
Create Segment ( WE31)
Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

User Exits for Inbound Process
hi all
can any one please give some example user exits in inbound process and explain the omportance of user exits
Thank you,
Swapnahi
Userxits allow us to add our own functionality to SAP standard program
without modifying it . These are implemented in the form of subroutines and hence are also known as FORM EXITs. The userexits are generally collected in includes and attached to the standard program by the SAP.
Types of User exits
1. Menu Exits
2.Function exits
3.Table exits
4.Screen exits
5.Keyword exits
6.Field exits.
also refer to the links below.. can get more info on user exits

User Exit for Inbound Process - Changing IDOC control record
Hi,
I want to utilize the identification field (under details tab) of the IDOC Control Record. What is the suitable user exit for inbound process that i can use to change the IDOC control record? It's been a long time since I have done any IDOC processing.
Go to SE37 and enter the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS. Display the source code. Search for "CALL CUSTOMER". You should see several "CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION" lines. These are enhancements where you can manipulate the IDOC data. If you locate the correct one (where the data is read from the IDOC but not yet validated), you should be able to map the partner function value. Double-clicking on the number in quotes will bring you to an "EXIT_" function module. A "ZX" INCLUDE program is referenced. If you haven't used the exit yet, double-clicking on the ZX INCLUDE will create it. The values passed into the function module are available in the INCLUDE.
Ideally, you should create a project in transaction CMOD that references the chosen enhancement. This way you can activate/deactivate without commenting/uncommenting the code in the INCLUDE. -
Delivery date issue in the ASn inbound process via IDOC
HI
we want to start with ASN and we ´re already receiving IDOC´s
DESADV Delvry03
we are using Fm /SPE/IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 and we have tried IDOC_INPUT_DESADV1 but teh reesult was the same.
The segment E1EDT13 Qualifier 007/009/006 exist and we are able to create a inbound delivery. The problem we have is that we are not able to calculate the delivery date in the inbound delivery.
The idea was that the vendors sends us the GI date (Qualifier 007) and our SAP calculates based on the plannend delivery time in the SA/PO the expected GR date 8what we see in MD04). But at the moment we only the creation date as delivery date.
what do we miss?
thanks for the help
regards
AlexHi,
Firstly, for DESADV processing delivery date field (LFDAT) is taken from qualifier '007' while goods issue is from '006'.
As far as I understood you would like to get delivery date based on data from given delivery schedules. But note that inbound delivery items are not related specifically to delivery schedules. Instead, those are referenced to purchasing document items only. Therefore it is not exactly specified what delivery date should be selected for which inbound delivery.
Alternative could be to perform scheduling for inbound deliveries based on route transit times etc.But in standard inbound delivery types are not available for SD scheduling and thus it is not directly available.
If you need to get such functionality, you would need to use one of the DESADV processing u-exits available and include your own logic for lfdat calculations.

Inbound Processing with reference to user defined Message type
Respected Readers,
I have created a segment with fields
Matnr
mbrsh
mtart
vpsta
maktx
meins
matkl(Total 7 fields)
I have created a idoc also and a message type and assign the idoc with message type.
Now i have set the communication partners also and created the distribution model with my message type and distributed also to the reciver side.
Now as it is not the standard message type like MATMAS so we cannot use the tcode BD10 to send the material.Instead of it i have to write the program to create the idoc for sending it.
So i have created the program for the generation of IDOC.
Upto here picture is clear.
In the case of Inbound in standard we use the tcode BD11 to get material but same thing as we are not using the Standard Message type we have to create our program.
Now in this case i have written a function module and that function module is attached to the process code and process code is attached to the message type and message type is attached to the partner profile.
i have done the assignments in we57 and bd51 also.
Now idoc is created in the inbound side with status 70.
but i am not getting how to upload this data in standard tables Mara and Makt.
So that if i go to tcode MM02 and give the respective Matnr ,it should display that material.
First tell me what i have done is the right procedure or i have to make somechanges somewhere .
Secondly if you please give me the function module code for inbound processing to upload the data in this standard table( mara ,makt) so that material is created in the reciver side also.i will be very thankful to you.
I am only using seven fields in creating the material.
Please kindly send your answers and not links .
Thanksi have done the same thing and used same parameter in import ,export ,tables and exception tab.
i have written some code also .
But i am not getting the code to upload the data in the standard tables so that material should be get created automatically as soon as the data get uploaded
in tables.
Somewhere i have read that you have to use the BDC concept Call transaction method to upload the data.
But how to use the BDC code in Function module , i am not getting.
Please can you send any example of code for this task. -
Error In inbound Processing IDoc
Dear All,
I am facing error while inbound processing of IDoc
In status record of IDoc following errors are occuring
Status 60 : EDI: Syntax error in IDoc (mandatory segment missing)
The segment E1MAKTM has the attribute 'Mandatory' in the syntax description of the basic type MATMAS05 (customer enhancement ). However, the segment is missing in the IDoc
Status 51: Application Document not posted
Log details :
Error : Material Number should be filled.
When i checked IDoc all 4 fields in E1MAKTM have the values in inbound IDoc.
Please guide me how to resolve these issues so that IDoc will be posted and Material Master will get created in reciever system.
ThanksHi Praveen,
I checked the data in IDoc for this segment.
It is ok as required in basic message type.
e.g. the error says that mandetory segment E1MAKTM is missing.
when i check basic type

which i think is ok.
I have no clue why this syntax error is coming.

CREMAS Update during inbound processing
Hi everybody,
I receive vendor information from a external system.
I want to import them by idoc type CREMAS05.
Everthing works fine.
But I have the problem that sometimes the external system sents a vendor number which is outside the allowed number range.
Therefore I want to implement a check. If this check is wron, I set a error status and message and the inbound will be canceld.
I have implemented Enhancement VSV00001 and User Exit EXIT_SAPLKD02_001 (Inbound: Read and process vendor segments)
the Problem is, that this user exit will be only called if the idoc includes a filled customer segment.
But in my case it didn't.
I had the idear to change the flag outside where are responsible for calling the user exit in that way, that evertime the exit will be called.
But there is no enhancement point there and I don't want to modify the SAP standard source.
How can I handle this?
Regards
ChristianIf you have duplicate Vendor number, it should not be able to reach to the point where it calls the subroutine call_transaction.
If you have implemented the implicit point at subroutine FILL_CRE_DATA_WITH_E1LFA1C, your code should be similar to this:
" do the validation of Vendor #
v_workflow_result = 99999. "<< this makes it to exit out and stops processing

Idoc inbound processing? from non-sap system?
Hi experts,
I'm confused with some functions below:
IDOC_INBOUND_SYNCHRONOUS
INBOUND_IDOC_PROCESS
IDOC_INBOUND_SINGLE
IDOC_INBOUND_ASYNCHRONOUS
can you tell me what are the differences? when to use them?
for sap outbound processing, we can only call function master_idoc_distribute to generate idoc or use message control to trigger outbound idoc. no other options, correct?
for sap inbound processing, if we use message control for automatical posting, we have process code which read the inbound idoc file and do the sap posting. when to use those functions above?
does the middlewares like seeburger, GIS call those functions to generate idocs at SAP side?
in what scenarios can we use those functions? read directly non-sap file into sap internal table then call the functions to create inbound idoc? how about the posting? call inbound processe code function after the functions above?
in case the interface between sap and legacy system is using above functions to build inbound idoc in sap and sap use process code for inbound posing, sap can monitor all inbound process using idoc, but how can the legacy system mornitor the interface?
Thanks.

Add new inbound process code we42
i am using we42 to add process code mbgm post goods movements identification appl_idoc_inputi for processing with ale service for processing by function mode
i am getting choose the key from the allowed namespace next to the process code.
I think i read that in transaction sm31 i need to look at table v_tbd51 so i did
i see function module appl_idoc_inputi
now what do i do?
the bottom line is when i go in bd87 i get function module not allowed so i am trying to correct this by adding a process code for mbgmwhen i go into bd87 i see idoc 631763
idoc in inbound processing
application document not posted
mbgmcr
function module not allowed APPL_IDOC_INPUTI
when i go into we02 is see control rec idoc 631763 message MBGMCR02 i see several data records(6 segments)
when i go to performance assistant is says the following
1. Please check that the process code in the inbound partner profile is correct.
2. If this is the case, you should check the ALE inbound methods ALE inbound methods for the process code and see whether the specified function module and application object type are correct.
so i am trying to add to the message mbgmcr02 the process code mbgm
am i thinking correctly
how do i do this -
IDOC Inbound Processing and updating DN
Hi,
I'm unfamiliar to inbound processing (i just understand the basics). I've dealt with outbound processing and user exits associated with that.
I have a specific client requirement: an Inbound IDOC is to be processed and update a delivery note. Some field of some segment within this inbound idoc will carry some information which I need to extract and update a field in the Delivery Note with. How could I do this?
Inbound message type is DESADV. Does my requirement need user exit programming or can I set up some kind of a batch job process?
Thanks in advance,
RisadHI,
For processing inbound idoc one process code attached in the partner profile. From this process code you can find out the function module attached to it.
Inside function module use can check for exit or badi to modify DN or write your custom logic. If you already have the test data you can check it from we19. Here you need to select standard inbound.
Thanks

How to edit Idoc data in inbound processing
Moved to correct forum by moderator
Hi All,
How to edit idoc data in inbound processing ? We have a custom FM in inbound scenario and requirement is to update a value in idoc, this value comes after certain processing in custom FM.
I tried editing it through
EDI_DOCUMENT_OPEN_FOR_EDIT
EDI_CHANGE_DATA_SEGMENTS
EDI_DOCUMENT_CLOSE_EDIT
but there is problem in this approach. By this procedure two idocs are created in system, one with original data and one with modified data. We want only one with modified data.
We do not want any direct database table updates.
Please provide appropriate solution.
Note : We are not changing status record. Please do not post replies related to status change
Edited by: Matt on Nov 19, 2008 2:24 PMHi,
You can edit the idoc by doing the following steps:-
1. Goto WE02 transaction and give the IDOC number and execute
2. Once the required IDOC gets retrieved then double on the text pad icon beside the segment which you wanted to change.
3. Select the Data Record at the top and click Display <-> Change option, which will enable you to change the data in that segment.
4. After doing the step 3 then click the save button to save your changes.
5. Then system will generate a new idoc number to store the actual data and your current idoc will hold the new data and the idoc will be in 69 status.
6. Execute the Program RC1_IDOC_SET_STATUS by giving your idoc number and status as 69 and new status 64 and remove the test flag
7. Then the IDOC will be in 64 status and you can reprocess the idoc with the help of the program RBDAPP01 by giving the idoc number.
The above is the entire process for editing the error idoc and reprocessing it again.
I hope I am clear and you understood the entire flow of editing and reprocessing an idoc.
Thanks,
Mahesh. -
Test IDOC inbound processing in WE19
Hello,
I want to test an inbound processing for an IDOC in WE19. I don't have any message so i enter 'via message type' in the initial screen.
Then i fill the segments/fields of the presented segments that i think are necessary and also some data in the 'Edit control record fields'.
But when i click on button 'Standard inbound' i receive the error message 'Initial recipient partner type'. Please note I don't fill any parameter in the control fields for receiver, but even if I enter a value in 'partner type' for receiver I got the same error. If I need to fill this parameter I don't know what should it contains.
Does anyone have an idea about what could be the reason of this error ?
Thanks is advance,
Paulo SousaHello Paulo
Recently I implemented an ALE scenario where the sending and receiving logical system are the same.
Purchase orders are sent to SAP-XI which returns the IDoc to the same logical system als sales order IDoc.
Thus, our logical system has the ORDERS message type as outbound and inbound parameter. SAP-XI is the other receiving and sending logical system.
The easies way is the "Copy&Paste" approach. Look into your system for existing inbound IDocs and compare their control record with the one of your test IDoc.

Uwe
