  • MDB,MDB container or JMS adapter stops processing messages from JMS queue

    Hi guys,
we have created a component using Enterprise Java Beans, let's say a product catalog, deployed it on a Glassfish v2 instance, and connected it to a legacy system using JMS and Sun MQ v4.1 as messaging system. The catalog component thus starts one MDB that listens on a JMS queue, let's say a queue named catalog_business_events_in, and waits for incoming messages, i.e. in our case update events. The problem is, that in general this approach works well, but sometimes the MDBs/JMS adapter stops for some reason fetching and processing messages from the JMS queue. We don't know why - no exceptions, etc.. Seems to be a Glassfish EJB container, JMS adapter or Sun MQ configuration issue. It seems to be that our component is not the problem.
The messages are compressed/uncompressed by Sun MQ automatically. We actually have 2 Sun MQ instances in clustered mode running to have some kind of failover - no HA cluster, yet. Sun MQ instances are accessed from Glassfish instances running in different Glassfish clusters - so we have a dedicated Sun MQ cluster not a Sun MQ instance per Glassfish instance. Each Glassfish instance is configured such that it knows both Sun MQ instances to allow automatic failover.
Has someone an idea, why the MDBs/ MDB container/ JMS adapter - stops processing messages? We are kind of puzzled as it happens more often now and apparently when traffic is (very) low not high!
    Thanks for your help.
    Cheers,
    Martin

  • My mdb stops processing messages

    Hi,
I deploy two mdb whose implementation is to print the message passed in via the
function onMessage. The mdb are connected to a topic. When I send messages to
the topic one of the mdb will eventually stop to process the send messages. The
server will start reporting pending messages. Again, the first 20 or so messages
are processed by both mdb. Then only one mdb will continue to process the messages.
    No error is reported.
Has anyone else observed this problem or suggestions?
    greetings
    Markus

I would suggest that you post this to the JMS newsgroup. Also, please include the
server version that you are using.

  • Integration Server Queues Stopping

    Hi People,
We are doing a FCC scenario (.CSV to XML), with the content conversion parameters as follows:
    Recordset Name: Recordset
    Recordset Structure: DataTable1,1
    Recordsets per message: 1
As it is clear from the configuration, <b>when the source file will contain multiple line items, XI will create multiple XML files, each containing data for a single line item.</b> My problem is, <b>whenever the source file contains a large number of line items, I see them being picked up (In SXMB_MONI), but the Integration Server inbound queues stop and they show a green flag in MONI with tooltip "Message Scheduled On the Outbound Side". I have to go to SMQ2 and manually activate the queues to release the blocked messages.</b> How to alleviate this problem..because it is really irksome to go and everytime manually activate the queues. Is there any report that can be scheduled so that it caueses the queues to activate automatically when they are blocked?
P.S: We can not change the design. Also, I have seen
<a href="/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/11/29/xi-how-to-re-process-failed-xi-messages-automatically">Naveen Pandarangi's Blog On XI Message re-Scheduling</a>..but the report stated there is not working out for me!
    Awaiting your expert views,
    Thanks in anticipation,

    Hi Shabarish,
I followed your instructions, but they did not work out for me...the problem still persists!

  • Inbound Queues in XI --System error

    HI Friends,
    sceanrio : Outbound IDOC
I have observed some messages struck in inbound queue and first message stoped because of system error.
I know if we delete this message , rest of the message will restart and process it.
BUt i don't know , if i delete , what will happen to this message ? I can't resart bcz restart not possible.
    2. If all messages in queue, and restart not possible then what is the solution ? only deletion or  ?????
    Deva

    HI Deva,
Before deleting try to unlock the queue and re-execute the first message then remaining messages will process. If you are not able to resend the first message ....analyze the error why it is failing.
Finally if the above two options are not working then you need to Identify the first message and delete the first message informing business to resend that perticular message.

  • Gwia stops processing

    I have a two node 6.5sp6 cluster running groupwise 7.02hp1a. I patched these as well libcspXX, mm65sp6, nw65nbi6, nw65os6a and wsock6m.
Occassionally, like 3 times a week, the gwia will stop processing messages. It seems to freeze as the spindle bar is moving on the gwia screen. Everything else seems to be ok. It fails over to the other node but with a message that pops up regarding having to kill the memory space. I have to answer yes so that it fails over. Its seems this occurs when I would think the groupwise system would be at a lull - where no users on using it in the middle of the night.
When i look at the log files - at 3:45 AM, the last couple lines looks normal, and then it just quits writing to the log as the last line displays the time and then quits. The next log file is of course after I migrated it to node1. Nothing in the logs indicate a problem to me.
    Thank you

  • Queue Stopped, messages not getting processed

    Hello Experts,
From the pst three days, my XI server is running slowly. All the messages are having the status green. When we check the queues, all the messages are stuck there and the error displayed is SYSFAIL (Queue stopped). If I try to execute the LUW manually it doesn't allow me giving the message "The queus is registered and therefore cannot be activated".
I have also tried deleting the entry and restarting the message again and then it goes to the same queue and gets stuck again. What should I do further?
    Thanks,
    Merrilly

    Hi,
To be able to initiate processing of messages stuck in the queue, make sure to set following IS configuration parameter
    MONITOR QRFC_RESTART_ALLOWED to value 1 in SXMB_ADM
    Check this

  • Inbound queue with tons of messages in status- RUNNING

    Hi Experts,
We have a issue there are tons of messages in inbound queue in status-RUNNING and it is too slow!, hence there are more messages getting in the queue every minute.
    This is Production enviorment.
    We have priority queues
    QIN is waiting status.
De-register will not work due to loss of messages fear
    Please advice

    Hi Priya,
The Q status is Executing forever, then there could be a dead lock inside IE, in processing the message and the system went into infinite loop. There is no otherway other than stopping(Lock immediately) the Q, and then unlocking it.
Also try  deleting the redundant Enqueue process on Abap stack (rz10), and defining two enqueue processes “enserver.exe” on java stack – one for ASCS, and one for SCS. You can find more information in installation guide for your XI type.

  • Messages stuck in SMQ2 Inbound Queue.

    Scenario: File->XI->Proxy
When I put 50 files at the same time in a directory, channel is configured Exactly Once in Order and we have created queue with the name GATQUEUE. The messages are picked up from directory and sent one by one to BPM process. 31 messages out of 50 poccesed succesfully but 19 of them get stuck in the queue always. Though GATQUEUE is released lately but they are stuck in 'XBQO$PE_WS90000013' queue. This is seen in SMQ2 Inbound Queue.
Could you please tell me how to release this message which are already stuck and what bit of configuration required so that it works for 1000s of files/messages at a time?
    Thanks
    K

    Hi Kiran,
Just add the below parameter in XI tcode : SXMB_ADM
       Execure Integration Engine and Configuration.
Click on Specific Configuration, go to change mode
       Click on New entries
      Category : MONITOR
      Parameter :QRFC_RESTART_ALLOWED
      Current Value : 1
      Save.

  • Messages still stuck in the Inbound queue SMQ2

    Hello XI Gurus,
All my messages with "READY" status are still stuck in the inbound queue (smq2) for the last 2 hours...there was no SYSFAIL error messages or scheduled background running. I have to manually go in and executed each of those messages, instead of automatically process it. Could someone please tell me how to troubleshoot this?
    Thanks so much in advanced,
    Dng

Implement SAP note 758677 for this. This exactly deals with your issue.
This Basically speaks about scheduling 'RSQIWKEX' for inbound and 'RSQOWKEX' for outbound queues.
Also, you need to set the parameter 'QRFC_Restart_ALLOWED' to '1' in the transaction 'SXMB_ADM' -> Integration engine. Its in the runtime dropdown menu.
Note : without this parameter being set this will not work.
    Thanks,
    Karthik

    Hi,
If the queues are hanging due to peak load at sometimes
you can schedule following reports to restart them automatically
(dont have to lock and unlock manually)
    RSQIWKEX - Inbound Queues
    RSQOWKEX- Outbound Queues
Also you can save the first entry of the queue if its causing problems to process later- smq3
