İnbox and MW Task in one iview

Hi all,
One of our customers want to see his inbox which has R3 Workflow  and his task which has Portal ad hoc workflow in one iview.
Is that possible?

Hi,
Are you are using UWL?
If yes then please explain ur scenario a bit.
As far as i know UWL task iview shows task from all the connectors( sources) in one view.
I am presently having tasks from Action inbox and Ad hoc tasks in UWL iview without ne effort.
And if u have a custom iview in which you ant to see the tasks of these two types just have a look at the below thread:
Uwl iview tab navigation prblem
I hope this helps.

  • Combining a JSPDynpage and a Dynpage into one iView

    Hi!
Does anyone have any idea if it is possible (and if yes, how) to display a JSPDynpage and a Dynpage in the same iView in different trays. Not a page with two iViews though, basically one component containing both of them. I know it's a bit tricky, but there must be a way and I cannot find any documentation on this. Otherwise I would have to rewrite the JSPDynpage code into the original Dynpage which is not as easy given that it uses a bean. Anybody ever seen this kind of problem before?
    Cheers,
    --Sebastian

    Hi Sebastian,
    > one component containing both of them
Think of it, what's "both of them" ... in the end, both will be components! So you won't achieve really to have two components as one, all you could do would be to <i>integrate</i> one component into the other (just put an isolated HTML container into one tray and call the component there directly).
    Hope it helps

  • Passing output of one iView as input to another iView using Visual Composer

    Hi
I need urgent help. Is it possible to pass data from one iView to another using the Visual Composer tool. If it is how? Does anyone have an example or know where I can find one.
    Here is my example:
I have created one Page with two iViews on the page. In the first iView i have a Bapi that accepts an ID number of a business partner as input and returns details like Name, Surname , title etc as well as the SAP Business Partner Number. The second Iview uses a Bapi that returns the Address details of the business partner. My problem is that I need to use the Business Partner Number from the first iView as the input into the second iView. Is this possible using Visual Composer? There will be a series of additional all bringing back different details of the same Business Partner and will need to use the same Business Partner Number.
Please advise me if this is possible using VC or if not suggest an alternative way of doing it.
Thanks in advance for the help.
    Regards

    Yes you can do this.
You can use ports (Signals) for this.
In order to explaing this, I will call the 1st iView - the source iView and the 2nd one - the target iView.
    1. In the source iView create an "Out Port" from the form or table where you have the details you want passed. Name it anyway you want (in the Properties task pane).
    2. In the target iView create an "Input Port" and connect it to the input of the BAPI you want run.
    3. Make sure that both ports have exactly the same name (it's case sensitive). and the same fields.
    4. Deploy the 2 iViews to the portal, put them in the same page.
Data should be transferred now between the iViews.

  • How to change one iView to another in portal page by clicking the third one

    Hi all!
I have created four iViews: two speedometers with web application designer and two iViews with visual composer. I added the speedometers and a visual composer iView #1 to a portal page (default view). The requirement is that by clicking the speedometer #2, the visual composer iView #2 would replace visual composer iView #1 on the portal page. If the user then would select the speedometer #1 again by clicking it, visual composer iView #2 would replace #1 again and so on.
I have read article http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50b65a5d-f397-2910-a78a-f5544f21c33b?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true, but it is more about filtering VC iView values with BI web items. I don't need to filter anything, just to change one iView to another in a portal view by clicking a third one.
I have thought of placing two VC iView to a same portal page area and defining one of the to be visible and another hidden (by clicking speedometers these properties would change), but I haven't found the way how that could be done in portal. Is there a way to define some OnClick-method to change visibility parameters or url-address of another iView?
One solution might be¨on the other hand to transfer any value to VC by clicking a speedometer and to change the visibility of the VC iViews according to that value (the speedometer #1 should in that case transfer other value to VC than speedometer #2). I don't know if that is possible with speedometers - you can't reference any characteristics or variables with it.
If you have an idea, what would be the best way to accomplish this requirement, I would be very glad to hear about it! We are in VC 7.0.
    Points garanteed!
    Regards
    Sari

    Hi,
In the portal, create a page and place the iView having the three input fields on top. Place the second iView below. Keep differing the second iView for every page. In this way you can make the iView with 3 input fields only in the desired pages. You can use EPCF to invoke / navigate to another iView.

  • How to remove the standard Exit and Help buttons from the iviews

    Hi All,
We migrated the ESS application from standalone ITS based on 4.6c to ECC 6 based Integrated one.  After converting that into ICF service and when we created the iview for it in the portal(EP 7)  It is showing two hyperlink items EXIT and HELP by default at the top of every iview.  So, Can anybody tell me how to remove them from visibility.
And also, the iviews are not showing the table grids etc in the integrated environment.  Is there any change that need to be done, for getting the table grids and all to look as it is in the previous envoronment.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi

    Hello Ravi,
You should be aware that many of the ESS transaction are not supported on the Integrated ITS, see note 870126 for more details.
To remove the "Exit" and "Help" you can use the ~webgui_simple_toolbar parameter, please see note 1010519.
Some tables have an option to show the gridlines or not.  Please see if there is a table options icon in the upper right of the table to change the configuration.  I'm not sure if what kind of table you're referring to so it may or may not be available.

  • How to use KM to view two iViews using one iView link

    Hi Experts,
In my project, we have created one folder called 'Admin'. We have created one iView called Report. iView 'Report' has been assigned to folder 'Admin'.
The structure looks like as shown below:
    ===========
    Admin
    . Report
    ===========
Here when user clicks on Report, iView 'Report' gets open. We want to show another iView when user clicks on . symbol.
Any idea how we can do so?
I know that this can be done. As in some other project I have seen that it works. In other project structure looks like
    =============
    Admin
    'some icon' Report
    =============
Here when user clicks on Report, Report iView gets open. When user click on 'some icon' like * symbol another iView gets open. This can be done using some of the features of SAP EP KM.
    Pls help.

    Hi Brian,
    Its possible.
    Follow the procedure:
Create a HTML page in KM, which will hold 2 links. Give names to these links and href as follows.
    Link1: http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/iview1
    Link2: http://<host>:<port>/irj/portal/iview2
Create KM Document iView (ABC) and provide path to document of this page.
Now create another page in PCD (XYZ), and 2 iviews.
Assign these 2 iViews on this page, but make them invisible on page.
In iView properties change the property Quick Link as follows (as given above):
    for iView1: iview1
    for iView2: iview2
Now open your role, create folder inside, and add KM Document iView (ABC). Open the properties of this iView in role and change the property, Initial state as Open, now it will open the KM document iView (ABC) in detail nav, and for opening page (XYZ) you must assign page to role, but make Invisible in Navigation areas to YES
i guess this solves your issue.

  • How to Include one iView into another iView

    Hi All,
My requirement is to have 3 input fields across many iviews. on entering the values in those fields, i will invoke a Web Service Model.
I dont want to keep these 3 fields in all iviews, rather i am planning to create one iview with 3 fields integrated with model and call this iview in many other iviews.
How do i achieve this in wed dynpro coding. In JSP, there is a concept called "Include Jsp Page" . Is there any similar kind of functionality in WD.
    Kindly guide me .

  • Multiple Convert/Dump and Load tasks in a single SSIS package?

I'd appreciate some input. We have a single data file that has about 1,000,000 rows of data spanning 28 time periods in the columns across each row. The file is too large to import at one time, and so we have created 9 different transformation files to pull subsets of the timeperiods using MVAL. The end user does not want to have to break apart the file and/or schedule 9 separate imports to bring this file in each time. So, I've attempted to create a single SSIS package that runs each of the 9 required component imports, but I'm running into the following error any time that I try to run more than one import at once:
An error occurred while running a packageException of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
I've tried using a ForEach loop to simply loop through each of the transformation files and run an import for each transformation file it finds. But, I understand that SSIS doesn't release memory until the end of the ForEach loop, which would explain an out of memory issue. I then broke it out and specified 9 distinct Convert task and 9 distinct Dump and Load tasks in the package with an order of Convert 1 --> Dump and Load 1 --> Convert 2 --> Dump and Load 2, etc. This results in the same out of memory issue any time I enable it to run more than 1 convert/dump & load task in the package - they are not running simultaneously, but rather sequentially. I don't understand this. In looking at the logs, it looks like it's creating the temp files for the first import and adding them into BPC, and then creating the temp files for the second import but then fails prior to the second load. This will work for a smaller data file, but shouldn't the memory be released after the task and allow subsequent tasks to complete? Any recommendations on how to address this and automate this load?

Quick update - I created unique ssis packages for the distinct imports and called those packages from within the initial package that is kicked off through Data Manager, and I ran into the same out of memory issue. Any ideas, suggestions, or help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • How to distinguish between enabled and disabled tasks in SSDT-BI 2012

    Hi,
I've got SSDT-BI 2012 together with VS2012 installed. Simple questions: What is the difference between enabled and disabled tasks in control flow from the design/color point of view? I do see that the disabled tasks changes to grey (omg are you really kidding
me????) from black. This could be a bad joke or dream however is not.
So I'm kindly asking you to help me solve this problem. How can I change the color difference between these two options (enabled task vs disabled task)? I do not care whether the one will be yellow or pink, simply just need to be recognizable at first
look and not under long and painful examination.
Thanks for your reply. Hopefully it will be useful.
    Karol.

    Hi Karol,
It’s true that it only changes the font color of the task name text to grey after disabling a task in SSDT 2012. In SSDT 2010, the whole task control including icon will turn grey after it is disabled; in BIDS, the background color of the task control will
turn grey after it is disabled. These behaviors are by design. Personally, I agree with you that this behavior in SSDT 2012 is not very readable.

  • A way to sync tasks into one calendar on N8, appoi...

I am currently syncing appointments into one calendar and tasks into another, on my Nokia N8. Why do I do this? Skip about halfway down this post, for my rationale.
I'd like to know if there's an easier way to get this done.
I am using a Nokia N8 and syncing with Outlook 2007.
I have both Ovi Suite and Nokia PC Suite (7.1.30.9, which is one of the last versions that doesn't prohibit a connection with the N8). And, I've synced succesfully with both of them.
Nokia PC Sync is set to synchronize tasks and files/folders, but not appointments or contacts. I set it to sync an empty Calendar folder within Outlook. But, it syncs my normal Tasks folder. That way, Tasks go into a calendar on the N8 called "PC Sync."
Then, Ovi Suite synchronizes appointments and contacts, but not tasks or files/folders. I set it to sync an empty Tasks folder within Outlook, but it syncs my normal Calendar folder. Ovi Suite places the appointments into the default N8 calendar called "Personal"
Is there a way, preferrably using Ovi Sync, where I can place tasks into one calendar, on the N8, and Appointments into a different calendar?
Why do I do this? Nokia didn't provide a way to exclude tasks from any of the calendar views (but provided a task-only view - what were they thinking!?). This means the daily and weekly views are filled with tasks, all set ahead of the appointments. I cannot imagine why anyone would want that to constitute their default view of the calendar. Particularly since there is a view available, of only tasks.
By placing tasks in a separate calendar from appointments, I can pick and choose whether I want to see tasks with appointments, in the daily and weekly views.
Now, if only Symbian would be able to sync the categories associated with my tasks and appointments, in Outlook. . . But, I realize (even after years of hoping Nokia would introduce the concept of categories to its software) that you have to walk, before you can run.
I hope you have found this post to be entertaining. But, back to my original question: Is there any way to sync - using only one software solution on the PC, tasks into one of the Nokia N8's calendars and appointments into another?
    Thanks for any ideas.

Here is the text of my feedback letter regarding Tasks...
Come on Apple! You have to be kidding me! I got caught up in the iPhone 3G euphoria and blindly ordered my 16GB Black about a week ago. (still waiting for it BTW) I had not purchased an iPhone Edge specifically because of its lack of Exchange connectivity. I have been "suffering" with an AT&T Tilt (HPC 8925, TyTn II) for the past year while I waited for Apple to "catch up" as it were.
Well, imagine my surprise a few minutes ago when I read that "Exchange ActiveSync Support" on the iPhone is not as capable as it is on a Windows Mobile device or even a Blackberry for that matter!
Look, any junior Exchange admin knows how important Public Folders are in the enterprise. There is absolutely no excuse for the lack of Public Folder support on the iPhone. This is a serious issue that will lose Apple and AT&T important high use, high revenue enterprise customers.
Then there is the issue of tasks. It has been my experience that many Exchange users utilize the Tasks feature extensively. I am dumbfounded that task support is missing from the iPhone.
Finally comes Notes. While it might not be used as much as Public Folders and Tasks, from the outside looking in it seems that integrating Exchange Notes would be a fairly simple endeavor.
PLEASE tell me and the rest of your customers (and potential customers) that support for Exchange Tasks, Notes, and Public Folders is in the works. We need something integrated just like mail, calendars, and contacts, not some patch-on workaround.
I and the rest of your users look forward to your response.
    Sincerely,
    eddiela

  • BI Applications 7.9.6.1 - Few SIL and PLP Tasks stopped in Full data load

    Hi All,
I have run full data load for Projects analytics. I have 23 tasks with status "stopped". These are SIL and PLP tasks for Project Facts load. It also contains tasks related to employee dimension and user dimension SCD update
I have checked the staging tables for many of the Facts/Dimensions corresponding to the stopped tasks and they have data.
All my other dimensions have loaded successfully and am able to query them from Answers using the BIA subject areas.
Could any one suggest possible reason for the tasks to be stopped.
Any pointers will be great at this point in time.
    Many Thanks,
    Kiran

    Thanks for that pointer!
Yes I had overlooked one failed task. It was a group task on employee dimension (Index creation on DS table had an error). Fixed that error and ran the failed and stopped tasks again. All working fine now.
Facts have been loaded and dashboards are working pretty fine.
    Thanks,

  • Several DAQmx Channels with Start and Clear Task VI's

    Hi,
I'm trying to read in several DAQmx channels in a while loop. When I just place the channels within the while loop and connect them directly to the read VI's, everything is fine. But I read in the help, that this will slow down my system, because it's opening and closing the task each cycle. So I used Start Task and Clear Task VI's to open and clear them before and after the loop. But now it's only reading one of my channels in, although I wired all of them in exactly the same manner. Anyone has an idea, what I did wrong?
    Thanks,
    Miclas

You would have seen the error if you had wired up and error indicator.
You cannot run multiple tasks of the same type (i.e. an analog input) at the same time. What you read about stopping and closing tasks is correct but it was the only way your program could work. What you don't realize is that you can have multiple channels with a single task. If you used a physical channel constant, it would be something like 'dev1/ai0:2' if you had consecutive channels or 'dev1/ai0, dev1/ai2' for non-consecutive. Global channels are done in a similar fashion. You would have 'FSR1, FSR2, Knee Angle', etc.

  • Input and output task synchronisation

    Hello,
I need to generate finite digital and analog signals with the same rate and I want to measure analog inputs 10 times faster at the same time
    Now it looks like that:
Analog output clock is used to generate digital output at the same rate, I use analog output StartTriger to start Digital output and to start analog inputs.
is this synchronised correctly? What do I need to write in rate for digital output signal?
My another approach is to do finite acquisition:
Now I  am generating nalog output lets say at 10Hz, signal has 100 elements so it will take 10s to generate. In the same time I will acquire at 100Hz for 10s so I will get 1000 samples. I am thinking correctly?
As far as I understand aoSample clock is created from 20MHz timebase. ant that is my 10Hz, so I can't acquire at faster rate using that clock?

    Dear Pawel,
in DAQmx, there are fundamentally two ways of synchronizing tasks. One is to share a Sample Clock between each task, thereby ensurning that each sample is generated/read at the same time. This only works when the sample rae is the same for all tasks, so in your case DO and AO can be synced like this.
The other method is to share a Timebase and a Start Trigger between tasks. This allows for different speeds for each task, and thus is the suggested method for syncing AO and AI in your application.
The exact way of doing the synchronization depends on he device(s) you have. Let me know if you need any further help.
