Thanks for taking the time to suggest the screen shot. Actually, I neglected to say that I was working in a Thai font and, after posting my question, it dawned on me that I should check the keyboard template again. Well, in Thai, vowel and accent symbols show on the template with the dotted zeroes below as place setters, They don't show IF one doesn't make a typing error, which is what I did. Sorry for the false alarm, and thanks, again.

I keep getting the message an unknown error has occured 0x80090318. I don't know how to fix it. I even deleted itunes off my computer and reinstalled and still get the error message
This helped me.
Go to Start -- Accessories -- Command Prompt, make right click and choose run as administrator
Type this command : netsh winsock reset
then restart your computer, everything should be ok after this. Good Luck. -
I have had MSN for a long time, I know that I have an account for Adobe , I don't know how it got changed but when I attempt to install my Flash Player it will not allow to enter it on MSN. It keeps showing Google ! If I can't get the Adobe Flash Player I can't use my Computer . I am not sure how Google got on my Unit . I have attempted to have removed it without any success

Its really tough for another user to tell you where the picture came from ...email attachment? ...screen shot?....saved from the Internet?
It had to be something that you or someone else did on your iPad for this picture to appear - some user action had to be involved. -

On the left side of the mail page there is an "On My Mac" header with several folders included. One of the folders, in white, is one called "recovered mail" with 843 messages in it. I don't know how this got there and am not able to delete it. I am also no longer receiving any email now. Help!

The laptop's too far away from the router to be connected by ethernet. It's all wifi.

The files are on a windows laptop and a hard drive hooked up to the windows laptop. The windows share server is pants, so I'd need some sort of third party server running. Maybe you weren't suggesting to use Samba to connect to the windows share though?
I'm glad that you've all understood my ramblings and taken and interest, thanks The way I see it, I can't be the only netbook user these days looking for this kind of convenience, and I certainly won't be once chrome and moblin hit the market.

didn't realize that a keyboard lock button was added to the draw down window on the front of the phone and inadvertently hit it, turning off my keyboard rotation. before I got someone who knew about the keyboard lock button, I goat a moron who told me to reset the whole frickin phone so now am in the process of redoing 8 months of phone prefference settings. is the "globe" button for the long range and pages of icnographs an app? I don't remember how we got it and neither does my wife

No app on the iPod is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.

Someone used my email address to create an Apple ID. I logged in to appleid.apple.com and I changed the password because it is freaking me out. I want to report it to Apple but dont know how to go about it. I want the Apple ID deleted. How do I go about that? Is there also a way to ensure that the email address wont be used again by this person to create another Apple ID?
This is compounded actually by a Gmail issue. I have had this email address for ages, since the start of the beta. But lately in the last year or so, I am getting mail that seems to be intended for other people but it is using my email address. To turn off auto sync - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices - check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPod, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect your iDevice to your PC.
Launch iTunes,
Click on the device name on the left side of the iTunes Window.
Click on the Photos Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Untick all of the photos or albums that you want to remove.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you untick or uncheck the Sync Photos heading and then click Apply it will remove all of the photos from the device when it syncs. In this screenshot - I have only certain albums and events selected to sync. -
My ipod is stuck at step 9 in this guide. Itunes told me to keep my ipod connected to itunes, and my Ipod shows the Apple logo as it should (though I can´t see any progress bar). Do anybody know how long step 9 takes. I have turned off my firewall.
Please Help!If it happens again and the reset (home + power buttons) doesn't work, just let the battery drain; you'll know when the screen shuts off. Charge it back up and it should be fine. Frankly, I'm surprised this worked for you. Usually I hear people with this problem say that holding both buttons doesn't work, and they have to do the battery drain.
If the issue is incurable next time, you have a one-year warranty from the date of purchase.
