Inbox Folders In view folders option

I have a blackberry pearl 8130. I went to the view folders option in the messages. I noticed I had over 10 inbox folders and have only 3 email addresses going to the blackberry (2 @me.com {mac email} and a blackberry with verizon email) Is there any way to delete them. I expand them and they have a spam subfolder and nothing in the inbox or spam folders until I get to the last 3 inbox folders and that is my email addresses coming in.
Also, can I save my saved messages (emails and SMS/MMS) to my SD card and if so, how would I go about doing that? I need to save for sentimental reasons.

you cannot save messages / SMS / MMS to your media card.
you can do a backup using Desktop Manager on your PC.
Then, there are PC programs that can dig into a backup and transform it into excel files that contain your email / sms / mms. for example :

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

How can i set the order of my accounts in favourite folders compact view? the order of the accounts in this view is different from the original order :(

i set up the desired order of the accounts (tools/options/advanced/general/config editor/mail.accountmanager.accounts) and when i switch to favourite folders compact view (view/folders/favourite + compact view), the order is totally different, hence i dont have the desired order in this view, but i want to use tb in this view, because this is the most appropriate to manage multiple folders, thank you for your help in advance, Joe (win7)

I don't think manually changing things via config editor is a good idea. You may reverse those changes before trying the extension.

Folder View - Folders arranged alphabetically first than all other files ..

Hi,
is it possible to view folders like windows or linux?
I found nothing in the internet, only a lot of of people having the same problem like me.
I want a folder view, where the folders came first sorted alphabetically than all other files ( not sorted after kind ) arrange alphabetically.
Making a "space" or other symbol like "!" oder "_" is no option for me.
If you use "Pathfinder" or "muCommandr" or "xFolder" you have this view. why is this not possible to select this view out of the box.( This should be no problem or ?)
And please no discussion whether this view makes sense, for me it makes sense for other maybe not.

No. Not something that Apple incorporated.
If you want to report this to Apple, either send Feedback or send bug reports and enhancement requests via its Bug Reporter system. To do the latter, join the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report/enhancement request. The nice thing with this procedure over submitting feedback is that you get a response and a follow-up number; thus, starting a dialog with engineering.

Viewing folders using Hotmail in Mail?

I'm using Hotmail in Mail and can only see Inbox, Sent and Junk folders.
How do I see all my mailbox folders?

I was trying to find something on it, but I cant get into the account anymore, I deleted my hotmail account after I signed up with Gmail.
~BUT, if it is the same, I would log onto Gmail, and then went to the Mail Settings, and they had a list of options of what you could push to your other email devices.
Hope its the same for hotmail!

Cannot view folders under My Music, but data exists

I am in the process of moving things from my PC to a Mac. In preparation for this, I wanted to make sure my iTunes library was completely organized in the new iTunes Media Organization. So, I checked the box to do this in iTunes. It took about 4 minutes to run. I should also add that I have all my music on an external drive under F:\My Music.
After I ran the organization in iTunes, I went to F:\My Music and there are no folders at all showing up in that folder. However, when I go into iTunes and show the location of a specific file in Windows Explorer, it says F:\My Music\Music\[artist]\[Album] as I would expect.
So, I KNOW the files exist under F:\My Music as I can also get there by typing in the direct path. However, when I go from F:\My Music, nothing shows up. I have tried rebooting and that didn't change anything.
Has anyone seen this problem before? At least I know the files still exist even if they are hard to get to.
I should also note that I have turned on to view all files in the View Folder Options menu for the folders.

Viewing folders by size not so simple (Mac OS Lion)

If a folder is large, containing many subfolders - I see no information (using Get INfo) on size
It would be nice to see the size explicitly in a column, not needing to right click for Get Info
Windows users can select several folders and see the size of all folders together, but why is this not possible with Mac OS ?
In MacOS I can view them arranged by size but the size is given only as a range f ex 10GB to 1TB.
This is a range by 100 fold , too large .

If after right clicking the selected folders you hold Option, you can view the Inspector which will show information for all the files.
Also, to view folders by size, you can choose to view by columns CMD+3.
From there, right click the column name and choose to view by Size.

How do I view folders' size in Finder Window?

I have a folder (i.e. dropbox) in which are about 28 folders, with more folders and files located within each. I need an easy way to calculate the size of each folder as a whole so I know which folder is the largest in size and taking up the most amount of space. Get info. on each folder is super tedious and would open up a ton of windows in Finder if I wanted to see every folder.
Column view only shows and sorts "size" (which I have displayed) by individual files, not the folders themselves as far as I can see. And when I "show view options" ⌘j, and "arrange by" "size" or "sort by" "size" it still doesn't seem to sort by size accurately.
Any short cuts to avoid "get info" on 28 folders and then looking at each one, one by one, to determine the hierarchical order by size?

Select the folder, CMD+J, and ensure Calculate all sizes is checked. That should give you all folder sizes.

Not able to view Folders in Business area.

User has been given access to XYZ business area from discoverer Admin but not able to view folders in Discoverer Plus (web based) but he can view the folders under same business area (ie XYZ) using Discoverer Desktop Application. Only one user is facing the problem other users with same business area (ie. XYZ) can view all the folders under that business area. User tried on other PC also but result the same.

I faced same kind of problem some time back & found JInitiator as the cause. Try unintalling older Installation of JInitiator & reinstall it & it should work.

Cannot view folders in mini bridge

Hello,
when trying to use mini bridge in ID CS6, I cannot view folders. I can look at drives, and places such as desk top, but it will only find individual image files, and cannot find any folders. As most of my assest are in folders, this is exceedingly frustrating. I remember CS5 not having this issue. Is there a preference or setting I am missing, or is this how Adobe always "improves" their products when they update.

I have done that, but it still does not find folders. Specifically, let's say folders within folders. I mentioned that I can find places, such as desktop, but it won't find 'folders' on my desktop. Just indivdual files. Here is a screen shot of what I mean. On my desk top, I happen to have a folder of assets, but it is not finding it when I have 'desk top' highlighted in the navigation. This is a problem that there seems to be now answer for.

Finder not able to view folders and files on EHD after updating to OS X 10.9.4

I can see still see 'Hitachi' in the 'Devices' Sidebar, but I am not able to view folders and files on this Hitachi XL2000 2TB FAT32 Hard Drive (EHD) that is USB connected to the iMac below.
Late 2013 Apple iMac (27-inch Display 2560 x 1440), 3.4GHz Quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.8GHz, 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X4GB, 512GB Flash Storage, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 775M 2GB GDDR5, Magic Trackpad, Apple Wireless Keyboard and OS X 10.9.4 Mavericks
All was fine until I updated from OS X 10.9.3 to 10.9.4 earlier this week, so now when I double-click on 'Hitachi' it just loads and loads with nothing happening and never displays the folder and file contents of the EHD.
Also, confirmed that Hitachi EHD has been removed from Spotlight indexing per System Preferences > Privacy > + > Hitachi and it was so this does not seem to be an indexing issue.
I have used OnyX and Apple Disk Utilities unsuccessfully to try and fix this problem.
Interestingly, Backblaze online backup still sees the EHD and connecting this EHD to a Win 8.1 PC also sees the EHD.
Further, I ran the commands below in 'Terminal' to make sure the drive was visible and got the following results which shows that the EHD is not hidden.

Finally, I installed XtraFinder and am still not able to see the contents of the EHD, but when I installed OmniDiskSweeper I can navigate the EHD folder tree with no problems and can see the contents of the EHD, but when I try and open up a file it opens Finder which loads and loads and nothing happens.

Apple Support was quite helpful, but in the end I will wait to do a clean install of OS X Yosemite which is due in the Fall and not try and fix OS X 10.9.4 Mavericks.
It turns out that I run backups on my '/Users/john/Library' and the size of this folder before the 10.9.4 update was 1.07 GB and after the update it is 806.9 MB which is baffling, but in the end all of these problems should be resolved with a clean install of OS X Yosemite.
One lesson learned for the future is that I will wait on installing an update until it has been in the wild for awhile as a quick OS X Mavericks Finder Problem search and similar searches show there could be an issue.

How do I view folders in the aperture library. If I look in my pictures I have the applibrary there but can't access it. If I click on it it opens Aperture and I can't find a way to find the info throught aperture either.

You can browse the contents of your Aperture Library from the Finder, but better do not change anything inside.
To look inside the Aperture Library package
Reveal the package in the Finder,
right-click or ctrl-click it and select "Show Package Contents" from the pop-up menu.
You will see a folder with subfolders containing the masters, previews, and thumbnails.
The iLife Applications will let you browse the Aperture Library through the MediaBrowser, that is much safer.

P.S. If your Aperture Library is referenced, not managed, you can view the master image files by selecting the image in Aperture in the Browser or film strip, ctrl-clicking it and selecting "Show in Finder".

In my Thunderbird I have 2 inboxes and deleted folders, 1 set in local folders 1 set above. How do I get back to only having one inbox and one deleted folders.

I have one account in my Thunderbird mail. Some days ago I discovered I had two inboxes and two deleted folders. One set appears in the list at the lefthandside above local folders and the other set is under local folders. My outbox also appears under local folders.
I have deleted or moved all the mail entris in the inbox which appears under local folders.
How do I delete the superfluous inbox and deleted folders? How do I move the outbox so it appears above the local folders in the list? Many thanks for your help.

Surely as I only have one account, I should only have one inbox. How does my POP mail decide into which inbox to put my incoming mail? The two inbox icons have the downward pointing arrow. One inbox is the first entry in the list (below my email address) and the second is the first entry below local folders.

How to view folders with folders first and then files?

I come from a Windows world but am loving the Mac world! But one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to view folders with all the folders first and then the files? Right now, it sorts everything in alphabetical order, intermixing the folders and files. I like being able to see the folders sorted at the top and then the files. Is there a way to do this?

If you want a more advanced browser, Pathfinder generally comes highly recommended.
I'm not aware of a way to make folders sort on top. I generally detest that feature in Windows, because it messes up keyboard navigation. Both operating systems support jumping to a file by starting to type a name, but on Windows you don't know where you end up. If I have a file called "notes", I know that typing "N" will send me somewhere very close to the file, and a few arrow presses brings me to it - if I do it on a Mac. If I do it on Windows, it depends on what is selected - if it's a folder or nothing, I jump to the first folder beginning with N, but if it's a file, I jump to the first file beginning with N - in a completely different part of the list. I do use folder grouping in some windows on the Mac, though, by adding a space to the name. Ideally, it should be a per-window setting.
