Inbox functionality

Hi All,
I am facing an issue while implementing compose message functionality.
Requirement is as mentioned below.
We are developing a web portal where we have all the registered users along with their unique IDs. Requirement is, I should be able to send messages to the selected users using check box, as well as other non registered users to their email ids. In the compose message, there is a link which on click should open a pop up where I should be able to select users using check box. After selecting it should be appended to other email IDs in the TO filed. Please suggest me to implement this functionality.
Regards,
sps

it sounds like you need help with javascript and not java.
java and javascript are not really related and have very little in common.

  • Worklist and Inbox functionality in CRM 5.0

    Hello,
We would like to know the difference between the Worklist and Inbox functionality in SAP CRM.
Is there any change in functionalities of the two, in 4.0 and 5.0. What the different settings for these two functionalities in any system. How do we identify whether a system has implemented worklist or Inbox.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Faiz

    Hi Faiz,
The best way to learn about the new functionalities is to refer to the release notes of CRM 5.0 which explaines all the new features of CRM 5.0
You can download this PDF document from service.sap.com. You need to have account to access this site

  • How do I restore Email inbox function?

For the past week, my Ipad2 has not been displaying inbox Yahoo messages but shows spinning circle "checking for mail".  I can view messages in other mailboxes but inbox continues to freeze at "downloading 1 of 18".  I rebooted but find no other way to change inbox settings.  I have full email access on my HP laptop in Windows so I can contact you.  Help!

One of those messages in your inbox has something wrong with it.  Either too big, or some attachment that the pad cannot deal with.  Suggest you go thru the inbox on your pc, looking for a mesage that looks wrong, and get it out of there.  Then, reboot the pad and try again.  You may end up needing to delete, then reinstall the mail account, but if the bad message is still there, it will just happen again.

  • Exchange 2010 IMAP inbox missing (probably renamed)

    Hi all,
Someone tried to setup a mac exchange connection with an SBS2011/ Exchange 2010 server, but the inbox gave an error. I've noticed that the IMAP INBOX folder is now somehow named "INBOXApple Mail To Do", so something went wrong apperantly. Renaming
the IMAP mailfolder back to INBOX doesn't work, is there any way to repair the INBOX functionality for IMAP?
The Outlook connection / OWA access still works fine and Get-MailboxFolderStatistics for the Inbox also shows no problems.

    Hi,
According to your description, it seems that this is an Mac client application issue rather than an exchange issue.
I recommend you post this in
    Apple Forum for help.

  • Cannot transfer email in Email inbox

    Hi Gurus,
We are implementing «  client side groupware » with outlook 2007 and experiencing at the same time some issues with the Email inbox functionality.
    Description of the problem :
In order to transfer email from u201Coutlooku201D to CRM a folder u201C sap crm email Transferu201D has to be created.
This is automatically done in :
Personalize > groupware integration > set up email transfer
Once the login and password entered Iu2019m able to connect correctly to the CRM .
The issue is that the folder  created (SAP CRM Email Transfer)  does not display any of the transferred emails. The element counter indicates that there are email present in the folder.
I cannot select a mail and transfer it to the CRM
    Iu2019m running:
    windows 7
    outlook 2007
    CRM 7.0
u2022     Collaboration data object 1.2.1 has been installed
u2022     Active X Setting in internet explorer is set to  enable :  "Initial and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe"
u2022     The services below has been checked and is ok
    /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_gw_integ
    /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_send_screen
    /sap/bc/bsp/sap/crm_email_bo
    /sap/crm/crm_addr_inp
    /sap/crm/crm_src_provide
    /sap/crm/crm_att_provide
Iu2019ve already tried to fix it running u201C diagnostics officeu201D and executing u201C Fixmapi.exeu201D without any results.
Has anybody have an idea of how the problem could be solved ?

    Hi shobhit,
I've deleted the previous created folder and created it once again but that did not solved the issue.
I can access to the transfer button but cannot transfer the mails as they are not visible.
Here some screen shots, hope this may help to have a precise idea

  • 200 mail limit - prioritizing of inbox?

I really wish for a "prioritize inbox" function when syncing my mail inbox on my iPhone.
One thing is that the limit of syncing 200 mail on the phone is irritating - but personally this would not be a problem if it just made sure that I could see my whole inbox (and no, it does not contain more than 200 mails - but it does contain everything I need to do something about).
I am using exchange to sync my gmail account.
Is there anyone who knows if it is possible to get the iPhone to prioritize like this? Or where to suggest Apple to create this feature?
Or just feel the same lack?

There is no 200 message limit per mailbox for syncing. That is a Show the most recent messages setting. If there are more than 200 messages in a mailbox and you have Show 200 Recent Messages selected, there is a Load More Messages selection at the bottom of the mailbox below the 200th message, and there is a search feature. If the account's Inbox mailbox has less than 200 messages, what difference does it make? It does make a difference to those with a limited data plan.
Can you see all however many messages are in the account's Inbox mailbox at once without having to scroll or do anything with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account or when accessing the account via webmail access using a browser?
How do you prioritize the messages with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account or via webmail access using a browser?
How about making use of additional user created server stored mailboxes to sort received and sent messages by category? All server stored mailboxes will be available automatically when accessing the account with the iPhone's Mail app along with all server stored mailboxes kept synchronized with the server.

  • Difference in filepath between "Import" and "Import from Inbox"

    Hi there,
Our presystem is storing the FlatFiles directly in the Inbox of each location.
From the Inbox the user is then able to process the step of the import, validate and export. like that we want to force the user to upload trough the Inbox their files.
But some of the user try to use still the "normal" import way and choose one of the files on their local machine.
    How can i stop that?
Is there as example in the Tool somewhere the filepath that indicates me where the file is coming from (so that i can stop the import process during the import) or is there any other change to solve it.
I found the RES. Function PstrFilename, but if i upload the file trough the inbox or trough my local machine, the PstrFilename is always telling me the INBOX path.
    HELPPPPPPPP :)

If you NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER want to see that upload option, then do the following:
NOTE : This was done for FDM 9.3.1, if you have a different version, this might vary slightly. Also, probably a warranty voider if you're concerned about things like that.
    - Locate the file import.aspx on the fdm server.
    - Make a backup of the file.
    - Locate the following text :
    <componentart:pageview runat="server" id="Pageview2">
    <input type="button" id="buttonClientSideImport" runat="server" class="ButtonActive" value="~{Import}~"
                                            onclick="DM_ImportPage_ClientSideImportButtonClicked();">
    <asp:button id="buttonImport" runat="server" style="display: none"></asp:button>
    <asp:label id="labelSelectFile" runat="server" cssclass="Label">~{Select File:}~</asp:label>
    <input id="fileControlUpload" type="file" class="TextBox" style="width: 250px" runat="server"
                                            onblur="DM_ImportPage_FileControlUploadChanged();" onchange="DM_ImportPage_FileControlUploadChanged();"
                                            name="fileControlUpload">
    <asp:label runat="server" cssclass="Label" id="Label1">~{Import Type:}~</asp:label>
    <hyperion:dropdownbox id="dropDownBoxUploadFileImportType" runat="server"></hyperion:dropdownbox>
    </componentart:pageview>
NOTE: If you look at the aspx file enough, you'll notice that they are using some sort of component to implement that tabs on the import page (View, Upload from File, Select from Inbox). The code above is the "code" to create the tab for the Import from File.
    - Depending on what you want to try you can either delete that entire block of code or you could disabled a specific component. If you delete that entire block of code, then the second tab should disappear entirely. If you want to do something else that isn't quite as drastic, you could disable the upload button from working by altering it from :
    <input type="button" id="buttonClientSideImport" runat="server" class="ButtonActive" value="~{Import}~"
                                            onclick="DM_ImportPage_ClientSideImportButtonClicked();">
    to
    <input type="button" visible="false" id="buttonClientSideImport" runat="server" class="ButtonActive" value="~{Import}~"
                                            onclick="DM_ImportPage_ClientSideImportButtonClicked();">
You could also delete the onclick code, but you would also want to change the runat from server to client so that it doesn't post back to the server to do absolutely nothing. The codechange as shown above willl prevent the button from being rendered on the webpage by ASP.NET.
    - You MAY need to restart the server/webservice as it could cache the previous version of the file and you'd want to clear that out.
I would probably just make the tab go away; however, if I wanted to keep the tab for something, I'd probably do something a little more U/I friendly than my above example :
    <componentart:pageview runat="server" id="Pageview2">
As upload files are automatically placed in your Inbox, please use the 'Select File From Inbox' functionality to upload.
    </componentart:pageview>

  • Inbox Functionlaity in portal

    Hello All,
I have been asked to implement Inbox functionality in portals ,is it the same thing as the UWL ,or what do we use UWL for ?
How should I go about providing inbox functionality to the user.
Any help would be highly appreciated .

If the inbox thing came from an SAP person, then they surely mean UWL. UWL is used as a single point to get any tasks from multiple SAP Inboxes (like r/3, srm, crm, etc).
UWL also features alerts and notifications (KM).
To start with, look if your UWL iView is configure and if its not, try configuring it.. there should be numerous links all over SDN on how to configure it.
    A sample guide : <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a3461636-0301-0010-3787-978f5ac8bd45">here.</a>
    hope that helps,

  • RSWUWFML2 to send out Collective notification

We implemented a couple of SAP workflow such as Purchase requisition approval and Employee Leave request workflow.
We are using RSWUWFML2 to send out the Collective notification  to Purchase Requisition Approval users Outlook inbox. In program RSWUWFML2, we specified the Parameter  to send Collective message and with Executable attachment 'Workflow Entry'.
When the users recieve the notification in Outlook, and double on the attachment shortcut, login to SAP, the SAP Workflow Inbox  is display and users see all workflow workitem inclusive of purchase requisition, HR employee leave request workflow workitem.
In this way, Is there a way to set (In program RSWUWFML2 or any other setup) to see Purchase Requisition workitem only when users logon via the attachement shortcut to SAP workflow Inbox?
    Best Regards,

That's another no. I'd say it can not be done - unless your company/customer wants to take on the task of creating their own inbox functionality. Of course, with sufficient funding and time available a lot can be achieved, but I would never recommend anyone to do this.
Why on earth do they want this functionality at all? It's like saying you should have five mail inboxes, one for each type of message. You can use a view in Lotus Notes to see only certain documents/messages based on content. These views are available as standard in SAP. Still, it's only a view, so the inbox holds all the content.
Since many people today have not experienced this great software (Lotus Notes) and only know about folders in simple e-mail clients (e.g. Outlook) it can be compared to sorting messages into folders by using a filter - but only compared. Notes can do that too of course, in case anyone was thinking otherwise.

  • Reset Automatic Workflow Customizing(SWU3) in Classify Tasks as General?

    Hello Guys,
I have a problem when in SWU3 as part of post-processing after client copies, I have performed activation in the Classify Tasks as General so now all the items there are in green mark. I have learned from the workflow team that this should have not been done as it flooded every users mailbox with about 2000 tasks and they are also in the midst of testing so the sending of unnecessary extra items through not assigning tasks in agents led to very slow response/processing  in workflow inbox functionality as well as may annoy users inbox. Do you know how to set this back as the tasks will not be General but per agent? Desperately need your advice. =(
    Regards,
    Jennah

    Hello,
I don't think SWU3 sets all the tasks to General task.
As I understand it, a task will only be sent to all users if:
    1) it's a General task    and
    2)  "Terminate if Rule Resolution has no Result" is not checked for the task   and
    3) No agent was found for the task
In your case I suspect "Terminate if Rule Resolution has no Result" hasn't been made use of often enough.

  • Creating BP and then a Lead transaction from the incoming Email.

    Hi CRM Gurus,
I am in a situation where our business needs to create a BP and then a Lead Transaction from the incoming mail from the customer.
Can some one please help me out with the configuration, which needs to be done to achieve the mentioned requirement.
    Thanks in advance..
    Cheers!!!
    Ajay

    Hi
this example is not for ERMS but in it there should be quite similar possibility.
for Interaction Center you have Agent Inbox functionality, in SPRO tcode your will find configuration for Agent Inbox, where you may review it. To find workflow which is used by system you may go to SWETYPV tcode and look for object CICSUPRT2 and event MAILRECEIVED. Or go to SWEL and check whuch workflows were executed at a time when email arrived.
Then best will be to copy this workflow in tcode SWDD to a new one, and set it in above configuration to be executed.
In SWDD in this workflow add tasks for BP creation and Lead creation. Possibly you will find methods to be used in tcode SWO1 for objects like Lead or Business Partner. Or you may develop yours object in SWO1 with own menthods, and use it later in SWDD for tasks creation.

How to access the activities created by an end user especially when the end user has left the organization? Please help me out with the possible solution

    Hi Ramesh,
In the web UI we have business role IC_manger where you can search the activities based on employee responsible and you can use business transaction assignment functionality to assign those activities to any  other end user or team.
Else you can also use Agent inbox functionality if you have configure the agent inbox for those activity.
Hope this helps solving your query

  • Unity Connection 8.5 Exchange 2010

Does the exchange server need to be in the same location as the Unity Connection 8.5 server for single inbox to work?

In the single inbox design guide here....
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/design/guide/8xcucdg032.html
Calculating the Number of Connections for a Connection Cluster
If both Connection servers in a cluster are in the same location, so they have the same latency when synchronizing with Exchange, you can calculate the number of connections the same way you do for one Connection server.
If one server in a cluster is collocated with the Exchange servers and the other is in a remote location:
•Install the publisher server in the location with the Exchange servers. The publisher server should always be the primary server unless the server is offline for maintenance or is unavailable for some other reason.

Unified Messaging Requirements: Synchronizing Connection and Exchange Mailboxes (Single Inbox) (Connection 8.5 and Later Only)
    Revised February 22, 2011
•Cisco Unity Connection integrated with a supported version of Microsoft Exchange Server:
–Exchange Server 2010 with Update Rollup 3 or later (All editions are supported.)
–Exchange Server 2010 with Service Pack 1 (All editions are supported.)
–Exchange Server 2007 with Service Pack 2 or later (All editions are supported.)
To synchronize Connection and Exchange 2007 mailboxes, you must install Connection 8.5(1) Service Update 1 (SU1), which is available on the Voice and Unified Communications Downloads page at http://tools.cisco.com/support/downloads/pub/Redirect.x?mdfid=278875240.
In the tree control on the Downloads page, expand Voice and Unified Communications > Unified Communications Applications > Voice Mail and Unified Messaging > Cisco Unity Connection > Cisco Unity Connection Version 8.5. On the Select a Release page, select SU1, and the download buttons appear on the right side of the page.
–Exchange Server 2003 with Service Pack 2 (All editions are supported.)
To synchronize Connection and Exchange 2003 mailboxes, you must install Connection 8.5(1) Service Update 1 (SU1). For download instructions, see the previous bullet.
Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite is not supported.
•Exchange servers and Active Directory domain controllers/global catalog servers (DC/GCs) can be installed in any hardware virtualization environment supported by Microsoft. (Cisco does not provide technical support for message-store servers or for DC/GCs.)
•The Microsoft Exchange message store can be stored in any storage area network configuration supported by Microsoft. (Cisco does not provide technical support for message-store servers.)
    •Exchange clusters are supported.
•To access Exchange servers in more than one forest, you must create at least one unified messaging service for each forest. Connection supports a maximum of 20 unified messaging services per Connection server.
•Depending on the number of voice messaging ports on each Connection server, the path of connectivity must have the following guaranteed bandwidth with no steady-state congestion:
–For 50 voice messaging ports on each server—7 Mbps
–For 100 voice messaging ports on each server—14 Mbps
–For 150 voice messaging ports on each server—21 Mbps
–For 200 voice messaging ports on each server—28 Mbps
–For 250 voice messaging ports on each server—35 Mbps
The bandwidth numbers above are intended as guidelines to ensure proper operation of mailbox synchronization. For information on bandwidth requirements for Connection clusters, see the "Requirements for a Cisco Unity Connection 8.x Cluster" section. Additional conditions such as network congestion, CPU utilization, and message size may contribute to lower throughput than expected. Call-control and call-quality requirements are in addition to the guidelines above and should be calculated by using the bandwidth recommendations in the applicable Cisco Unified Communications SRND at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/solutions/ns340/ns414/ns742/ns818/landing_uc_mgr.html.
•The default Connection configuration is sufficient for a maximum of 2000 users and 80 milliseconds of round-trip latency between Connection and Exchange servers. For more than 2000 users and/or more than 80 milliseconds of latency, you can change the default configuration. For more information, see the " Latency" section in the "Single Inbox in Cisco Unity Connection 8.5 and Later" chapter of the Design Guide for Cisco Unity Connection Release 8.x. at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/docs/voice_ip_comm/connection/8x/design/guide/8xcucdgx.html.
•Users must be assigned to a class of service that is enabled for using single inbox.
•For each user configured for single inbox, an email client that is configured to access the user's Exchange mailbox. For full single-inbox functionality, we recommend that you use Microsoft Outlook and install Cisco ViewMail for Microsoft Outlook. ViewMail for Outlook is required to:
–Review secure Connection voice messages by using Outlook.
–Compose, reply to, or forward synchronized voice messages by using Outlook.
Other email clients can be used to access Connection voice messages in Exchange, but users will not have the functionality provided by ViewMail for Outlook.
For information on Connection support for Outlook, see the "Requirements for Accessing Voice Messages by Using Cisco ViewMail for Microsoft Outlook 8.5 and Later" section.
•For users who are configured for single inbox and SpeechView transcriptions, the message in Exchange is not updated with the transcribed text. You can configure Connection to send a notification message that contains the transcription.
•When message expiration and single inbox are configured, the .wav file is not deleted from the message in Exchange. Voice messages in Connection are still removed from user mailboxes and are replaced with a recording that tells the user "This message is expired."
Specifically teh bandwidth requirements. Typically it's always best to have Exchange as close as possible to the CUC servers for performance to be ideal but this should give you some guidelines.

  • Integrate Business workflow into Portal

    Hi All,
I read the document "How to Configure the UWL.doc" Ver 1.0.
After following the steps given out there, i am stuck in one place and dont know how to proceed. I am writing down what i have done so far.
1.Created a system in the SLD
2.Mapped the Portal user to system user
3.Adding the UWL iView to User Role
    4.Register the System with UWL
5.Register the System Item Types with UWL
After this, i dont how to proceed and how to achieve my requirement. i.e expose the Inbox functionality which is there in TC SBWP to the portal user.
