Inbox time received wrong

The time in the date received column of my inbox is wrong. For example, if I get an email time stamped 9:59 am, the time in this column is 2:59 pm. I have checked my system time zone, it is EST.
Help?

I have the same issue for ages. I've ignored it but would like to get it straight.
I am using Mail.app Version 2.0.7 (746.2/749.3) and have a very curious issue of displaying times on emails being received.
For instance I have just sent myself an email from imap/smtp to my .mac account.
My sent folder tells me that it was sent on 13:34 but my bcc copy into my inbox at the imap account received time is at 15:52 although it arrived pretty well instantly.
dot mac tells me that it was received at 05:40am today
my mail.app dot mac folder tells me it was received at 13:40 today
I am using a G4 powerbook 1.67 with 2GB DDR2 SDRAM on Mac OS X 10.4.6. (although this problem has existed on previous version of OSX 10.4.
My settings indicate that the time on the Powerbook is set so that the time when sent 13.:34 is the time on my powerbook and the timezone is British Summer Time.
The imap server and its webmail clients all display the time correctly (to BST) as set up.

  • Inbox time received doesn't reflect Daylight Savings - Timestamp Correct

The inbox list view in Mail of From, Subject, Date and Time Received does not reflect the correct time. The email itself in the header has the correct time received however the list view is an hour ahead. Considering the last time change was springing forward this is all the more strange as I would understand an hour behind...
    How do I fix this?

    I have the same problem.
I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad 2.
On the iPhone, the red line on the day mode in calendar says the correct time BUT the line itself is exactly one hour behind.  Both in vertical and landscape mode when you look at the week.
On the iPad the line is off by an hour in both the day mode and week view.
I tested setting an alarm to see when it actually goes off in calendar mode. It went off at the time it was supposed to, but the line was still an hour behind.
    Both are running iOS 7.0.6.

  • Nokia 3120 classic (message received time is wrong...

Hi.. got some problems with my nokia 3120 classic. I bought my fone 2 wks ago and decide to upgrade my fone to new firmware version which is 7.16, after the fone was updated i noticed that whenever i received txt messages, the received time is wrong.. it is i think 8 hrs late.. I'm txting my friends and when they reply, the received time display is wrong. Is this a bug for the new version? It's not synchronizing in my phone clock. Of course my phone clock is ok.. Message sent time is ok but the received time is wrong. Any suggestions? Pls help..
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

ok.. i've figured out already the problem. it's not on the software update but it is due to the GMT. i noticed that even your dates and time are correct, you must set your correct timezone from what country you were. if the auto update time and date is on, i think it varies on the timezone u set on ur fone so if your timezone is wrong, the message receive time is wrong too. well i already solved this.

  • Time Received 2 hours off

My Mac time is correct, but the time received in the window of Mac Mail is incorrect. It's 2 hours behind. The day is correct. The time on the email itself is correct.
What is causing this and is there a way to correct it?
    Thanks.

Have you read my first post?
Again, the date & time that Mail shows in the Date Received column is the date & time that appears in the latest (topmost) Received message header (which you can see doing View > Message > Long Headers), not the date & time that appears in the Date message header, and is set by the incoming mail server.
If the date & time that appears in the latest (topmost) Received message header is wrong, that’s the incoming mail server’s fault and Mail has no bearing on it. If that’s the problem, it must be fixed at the server by whoever is responsible for that mail server...

  • Times are Wrong from Outlook Invites

    Hello-
I use Outlook 2007 from work and I send my wife invites on her MacBook so that we keep our calendars in sync. However when I send her an invite the times are wrong. The email that she receives shows the correct time but the auctual apointment in her iCal is incorrect.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    your wife should check that
in ical>preferences>advanced she has time zone support checked
in system preferences>date&time>date&time she has set date&time automatically checked
in system preferences>date&time>time zone she has the correct time zone and the correct city chosen
you should check that you have the corrrect time settings in your Outlook and in your computer.

  • Date and time are wrong

My date and time are wrong on boot up and won't adjust back to normal automatically.  I think the internet is telling me it's a problem with either my PRAM or CMOS or NVRAM battery, the little guy that holds info while the big guy is tapped.  I want to replace this. Is that possible?  What is the battery actually called?

    Hey MisterW,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like you wish to reset your PRAM/NVRAM, the following article should assist you:

  • Document signature with date/time received stamp

Does anyone know if you can combine the feature of a date/time received stamp with the signature of the person who received it?
    Regards,
    Sean

    Hi Sean,
The way a time stamp works is that it's a signature over the document signature, kind of like when a notary public signs a document. They (the notary) are not verifying the accuracy of the document, only that you signed it and when you signed it.
Generally (can you sense that this is going to get more complicated then it should be ), a time stamp is created (by a trusted third party) at signing time to prove that the signature existed a a particular point in time. If you timestamp your signature at signing time it cannot be time stamped again by the receiving party. If the receiving party wants to add a timestamp they need to sign the document themselves. An example of this is the patent office. It doesn't matter to them what time you signed the patent application, but rather when they received it. They add their own timestamp to show what time the application was received by signing the document a second time.
Now just to confuse things a bit, starting with Acrobat 9.1.0, if the signature was not time stamped at signing time, it has the ability to add a timestamp post signing. You can add the timestamp by opening the Signature Panel, right mouse click on the signature, and select Add Verification Information from the pop-up menu. You must have a timestamp server configured in the Security Settings console and the Include signature's revocation status when signing preference selected in order for this feature to be available, and the signature must be valid. You cannot add a timestamp post signing over an invalid signature.
    I hope this helps,
    Steve

how many times with wrong password will phone lock out

Depends on whether you have it set to erase data after 10 attempts. Otherwise it will lock out for a certain amount of time and then you can try again before it locks out again. However, if you cannot remember the passcode, you will have to restore the phone on the computer you normally sync with http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212.

  • Mail: time sent/time received

Never mind why, but I had to reinstall Mail.app 3.6
It used to show time sent and time received. Now it only shows the dates.
Cannot for the life of me find that preference - any ideas?

    BDAqua wrote:
Anyway, you can hack it, System Preferences>International>Formats>Times>Customize, copy the Short time, exit that & Dates>Customize, place the cursor behind the Date & paste the short Time.
Also once you do that the Finder will show Date Creted/Modified with the Time also
Got it to work - after a great deal of fidling!
    Thanks!

  • Quality Inspection for the 1st time Receive of Batch

    Hi all.
My requirement is just to do the quality inspection when the Batch(MCHA-CHARG) is received in the first time in MIGO.
No quality inspection is required for next & consequtive goods receive for the same batch.
for the 1st time receive, the stock will go to quality inspection stock for any batch of a material. From the next time , the stock will go directly to unrestricted stock without quality inspection. is it possible? plz advice.
    Thanks
    pabi

    Hi Pabi,
I am not sure if this will help you, but here are the three options that you might want to consider:
    - Source inspection. The idea here is that an IL is created for a purchase order prior to GR. All subsequent receipts for this PO can be configured to skip inspection.
    - Control if insp. lot in material master (insp. set-up). In this case, the system will not create new insp. lot, if there's already one open for the same batch - it will merely add the qty of the new GR to the same open insp. lot.
    - With dynamic modification you can let the following receipts of the same material from the same vendor to go without QI, but you can't fine-tune it by batch.
I know this is not the same what you want, but I can't recall at the moment a function that will satisfy your requirement exactly.

  • How to enable Business Objects Inbox to receive reports?

How can I enable Business Objects inbox to receive report?
I can schedule or send report to a recipient without error, however, if I log into system as the receipient, I could not find the report in the inbox.
    Any solutions?

    Hi Simon,
The report is not sent because of missing rights on the report or the Inbox.
You can check this article to get minimum rights required to send to Inbox : 1612499 - What are the minimum rights required to be able to send a report object to another user's inbox on BI Launch Pad?

  • Mail message viewer-can I change time zone for "time received" & "time sent" to my local time?

Does anyone know how to change the time zone MAIL uses to one's local time zone?  I'm talking about Apple's Mail Program that's "on my mac."  It shows all my "times sent" and "times received" in eastern time.  Not a big deal, but since I'm on the west coast, I'd prefer pacific time.  The menu bar at the very top of the screen shows local time, but Mail doesn't reflect that.  I have a desktop iMac, Lion 10.7.3.  Any help will be much appreciated!

I had the same situation on my current business trip.  Home = SF (Pacific time), current location = Houston (Central time, 2 hours later).  For a message I just sent (and received a copy of) at 6:34 AM local (Houston) time, Mail (v6.6, in Mountain Lion 10.8.5) was displaying Date Received as 4:34 AM.  I can tell 'ya, it's *not* 4:34 AM where I'm sitting
My practice on any trip to a different time zone is just what Carlo TD described -- use SysPrefs/DateTime to change the TZ to local geographic (and also change Calendar's TZ at upper right in its window, but that's not related to the Mail issue).  But when I did so, Mail didn't repaint its Date Received column.  On a hunch, I quit and re-started Mail.  Problem solved -- all the Date Received values changed to local (Houston) time!
Now to send Apple a Feedback that Mail doesn't repaint its displayed times when SysPrefs/DateTime changes the TZ...
[Interestingly, when I just posted this reply, the message in the thread shows something like "4:54 AM".  Perhaps Apple displays all Support threads in Cupertino (Pacific) time...]

  • Show time received for Yesterday

In Lion Mail, in the new display format, messages received yesterday all show the time received as just "Yesterday", without any time.
Is there any way to get it to show the actual time? Or just to turn off the relative dates and show real dates?

I realize I can get the time to show if I revert to the "classic" view in columns, but I like the new format, except for that blasted "yesterday".
