Inbox when document comes for approval

Hi all,
I don't want any draft document to come in approvers inbox whenever document sent for approval because i'm using approval stataus and decision report to see the pending,rejected or approved document and don't want it to be displayed in INBOX......is there any way to do it?

As this normal system behaviour,there is no way to restrict
messages from mail and messages for approval.

UWL - Error when lauching webdynpro for Approve time

Please suggest me how to solve this error.
As part of Manager Self Services (MSS) - we are getting error , when we try to click on the UWL Task link for "Approval of Working Times", UWL tries to launch a Webdynpro page and it could not find that.
As we followed up with our basis team, they informed us that the Webdynpro Component does exists in the Portal.
Error Details:       com.sap.tc.webdynpro.services.sal.core.DispatcherException: The requested deployable object 'sap.com/msscatapproval' and application 'CatManagerApprove' are not deployed on the server. Please check the used URL for typos.

How can I see the status of Rejected Documents sent for Approval from KM

I have a folder which is Approval Enabled. Now on sending a document to the approver ,if he rejects it from UWL ,how can i see it in KM ? Thank you for any input provided in advance . In UWL I cannot see it .

You can see if a document is rejected from KM folder in which the document is there .From the document level(which you have sent) click on the arrow and select Details . A new Window opens up .Now go to Actions>>approval .You will see the name of the approver who has rejected your document .Now you can resend it or skip it . This is how you do it .

LaunchFCP error when submitting content for Approval

I'm getting a 'Delivery Validation' error while submitting content for approval.

LaunchFCP refers to sending a proof. When you Submit Content for Approval, Adobe Campaign sends out a Proof to the proof target and sends a Validation Request to the Content Reviewer.
You can Open a delivery to view the error details on the Summary page. The proof does not appear on the Campaign dashboard, but you can go to the Deliveries folder under Campaign Management (default location) to see deliveries and their proofs. Proofs are a copy of the original delivery with [Proof n] in the subject line.
Generally, don't delete campaign configurations. For some configurations, when you delete them they are moved to an archive folder. For example, if I look in the Deleted deliveries folder, I can see some proofs and e-mails that you deleted. The reason your proof failed appears to be because of a missing subject line. There is a rule in Adobe Campaign that checks for this.

When you uncheck the fixed approval routing, while submitting a timesheet, Project Server will popup the list of predefined timesheet managers so the user can choose who will be approving his timesheet.
If you check the option, then Project Server will send the timesheet for approval to the timesheet manager of the user (as it used to be in PS2010).

I have a similar requirement, we have configured a one level approval template with a single authorizer. After the draft is sent from the originator and before the approval is done by the authorizer any attempt at changing the data in the draft returns an error stating "the draft is in approval process" however after the the draft is approved the authorizer is unable to change the document. The requirement is, during approval process, the authorizer has to make corrections in the document if any..... please let me know if there are any settings that needs to be checked for this to occur.

Set of document for approval.

I have to send set of documents for approval to my client which are PDF format. For example :-
1) Project A - Total 5 Documents (PDF format)for Approval
2) Project B - Total 6 Documents (PDF format) for Approval

I've created the document set and its working fine. Only I'm facing issue with Permission.
I've created Document Set in Document Library in SharePoint 2013. Here for this document set I've created
OOTB workflow from SharePoint Ribbon. So here User A will upload the document and User B will review put comment and approve or reject.
I've admin access so in the Document Library Setting "Permissions for this document library " I
clicked on "Inherit the Permission" and added these users A & B with Design access.
Now user A is able to login and upload the files in document set but to create or use the Document Set which
I've created he is getting error "Sorry, you don't have access to this page".
Now here I want to give access to user A and B only for the Document Library so they can access/use the Document
Set which I've created, Upload the Document and user B can approve it. Also here in Left Navigation I want to show user A & B "Task" option which is also not showing to view the "Approval Status".

How to trigger an idoc when 'For Approval' button is clicked in IMA11 trans

You can't get the "OK Pressed" directly, but you can check the error output. An error code 43 is generated when a user hits cancel in the dialog box.
If you're using a vi from the File I/O pallet (like "Write to SGL File"), they unfortunately don't have the error cluster wired as an output. They do have an output of the selected path. This is set to "Not A Path" if the user selects Cancel. Test the output path - if it is equal to the "Not A Path" constant, then the user hit cancel.

The template is a document in itself, it is not applied to an existing document whether it is a Pages document or a Word document converted to a Pages document.
You would need to either copy and paste content, using existing styles, or apply the styles to the converted Word document.
You can Import the Styles from an existing document and those imported Styles can be used to override the current document's styles:
Menu > Format > Import Styles
The process is simplified if the styles use the same names, otherwise you will need to delete the style you don't want and replace it with the one that you do want when asked, then the substitution is pretty straightforward.

I recently took it into the Genius Bar and they could not find anything wrong. They told me to add more memory, which I did. However, the problem persists. Do you know why my computer would freeze up after the screen has had no activity for just a few minutes? My screen saver is set for an hour so I know this is not the problem.

What kind of documents? Office? iWork? Text Edit? What version?
What settings do you have in regards to power saver and/or screen saver?
For these kinds of system glitches I always recommend installing and running Onyx 'Automation'. If that does not work you should reinstall the offending software, if possible.

First of all, set the configuration for auto approval. Easiest way to do is use BC set.
Transaction SCPR20 :

Now, SPRO - SRM - SRM Server - Cross Application Basic Setting - Business Workflow - Process Controlled Workflow - Business Process Configuration - Define Process Levels - Select BUS2121 - Process Schema definition - Select 3C_SC_600_000
- Now click on Acceptance by contact person.

Error in Km when submit for approval.

Word Crashing When Discarding Checkout for Document Stored in SharePoint

We have recently noticed an issue when we have a Word file checked out from SharePoint, if we then discard the checkout from Word, Word crashes. The error details point to an issue in wwlib.dll.
Having done some further investigation into this it appears this only happens if the document has an attached template which contains a custom ribbon. We use SharePoint 2013 and Word 2010, although I have tested using Word 2013 with the same results.
This was noticed on our company templates which contain a custom ribbon tab and a number of custom buttons. I have since tested it by creating a template with a single button on a custom tab with the same results.
Has anyone else come across this issue and and is there any way to resolve it?

The issue only happens when discarding checkout. Editing and saving a document back to SharePoint does not cause an issue. I am using a dotm template. I am not storing the template
as a content type. When I say I created a custom tab, this was created by adding the XML to create the ribbon tab and button. I used the 'Custom UI Editor for Microsoft Office' to add this. The file created for this is called customUI14.xml and the
XML is as follows (in the basic test template that I created):

Following your reply I have tested it by adding a custom tab and button through the GUI and the problem doesn't occur when using that method of creating the tab and button.
I will see if I can find anything useful in the ULS logs although no correlation ID is displayed when the error happens and in my experience even with a correlation ID, 99% of the time the ULS logs don't provide any useful information.
I've also observed that Word doesn't crash if I discard checkout when I have another document open at the same time which is based on the same template.
I have already posted on a MS Word forum. Is there more chance of getting some help on one of the other Word forums you have suggested?

if I understand correctly, you just need for a particular object a tooltip to be showed.
There is no such functionality hence you used the trick of using a hyperlink, which if clicked generates undesired behavior.
Hyperlinks don't allow themselves to be disabled, therefore if you are using that workaround you must cope with that.
I would suggest to create an Idea at [https://ideas.sap.com] for having in the properties of an object a tooltip, then post the link to the idea here and other users will vote if they like the idea.
