Incase Dual Car USB Charger with Lightning to USB Cable

Hi,
I just buy this item and it seems that the item is not working...
What can i do?
Incase Dual Car USB Charger with Lightning to USB Cable
$39.95
Yakir

jddj,
If the charger uses the firewire pins (even though it uses a USB cable) to charge in the car it won't charge the iPhone 3G.
The iPhone 3G supports charging and syncing over USB only, the original iPhone supported charging over firewire in addition.
Hope this helps,
Nathan C.

    - Try another cable. Some 5G iPods were shipped with Lightning cable that were either initially defective or failed after short use.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • Kingston DTSE9 with Lightning to USB Camera Connector

    Hi
Does anyone know if the above USB stick works with the Lightning to USB camera connector? Just checking options before I purchase.
    thanks
    Neil

    Apologies Alfred.
I'm aware of the limitations of the system, and mimicking the file structure of a cameras storage is perfect for my needs.
My question should have stated my interest is more in regards to the energy needed to run the USB stick, as I’m acutely aware that different USB sticks have different power requirements, some being above and beyond what the IPad can supply.
I hope that this clarifies my question
    Thanks

  • IPad mini won't charge with Lightning charge cord

I just bought my iPad mini and the charge cord had not responded to the many suggested recommendations that I have read through on these forums.  I have treid using the 10w AC adapter, I have tried plugging it into my computer, I have tried swapping a few 5w AC adapters out, and I have also tried resetting it.  To no avail, the iPad mini now has a 0% charge and will not respond to anything except for the reset prompts the plug arrow charge with a flashing low red/black battery.  Anyone out there getting the same issues?  Anything else that I haven't tried already?  Thanks.

Anyone out there getting the same issues?
You seem to have come across others while trying "many suggested recommendations"?
In reference to the exact same issues that I have experienced, I have not seen an identical post.  Many of the issues I have mentioned have been solved using interchangable solutions.  I guess I could correct my post as to say "issue".  I apologize for my incorrect grammar.

  • 6 plus will not charge with Lightning cable after 8.1 update

Received my phone yesterday after ordering on the second day of launch and restored from my computer backup with the Lightning cable provided in the box.  After I installed the 8.1 update over wifi, now phone does not recognize the Lightning cable.  I get the not compatible message if I plug into the phone and the other end is in free air. It now will not charge or sync with computer at all.  I tried 2 different Lightning cables with the same result. I did notice the life being sucked out of the battery after 8.1 update.  I did the reset setting trick with no luck.  I have a apt at the Apple store in a few hours.  Any thoughts?

Apple store replaced the phone and lightning cable this morning.  She said it was Hardware issues.  Well it worked fine up until I updated to 8.1 software.  The cable broke while I was removing it from the phone in front of the tech.  This afternoon I purchased a 6' lightning cable with braided jacket for under $20 bucks at Sams.  Well worth the money. The reason the cable broke was due to the small area left to grab the connector while my phone is in the Otterbox defender case I received yesterday.

  • HT4060 Can you charge IPad on universal USB charger with USB to iPad charging wire?  Seems to work. Very slowly however

iPad charges very slowly with universal USB adapter and iPad wire.  Is this normal?
    Is this safe?

Ahh thats a shame, I knew it seemed to easy.
So does that mean you can simply transfer videos from the external hard drive to ipad? Do you need a wifi connection for that or can the ipad sync straight to the hard drive without that?
No first hand experience with them, but my understanding is that the HDs have a WiFi transmitter built in. You stream the content directly from it, probably using an app.

  • Safe to use Mr Phone USB charger with iPhone 5S and iPad mini?

    Bought this on Amazon.
Mr Phone: Original MrPhone (2400mah) High Power Rapid Charge USB Mains Adapter for Apple iPad Mini/3/2/1, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 10.1, Galaxy Tab 7.0/7.0 Plus/10.1, Lenovo IdeaTab S2110A/S2109A, aPad/ePad Android Tablet PC , TomTom, Garmin, Galaxy s3, Iphone5, iphone 4s and many other devices that can be charged via the wall socket
    http://amazon.co.uk/dp/B00CH3IU2S
Is it OK to use with an iPhone 5s and ipad mini?
My worry is it'll damage the battery. It charges sooooo much quicker than the standard charger.

Who knows ,if you want to charge faster get the Apple 12w charger that is compatible with all iOS devices
Then you don't have to ask is it safe ,it's made by Apple for their devices

  • HT4060 ipad5 not charging with my computer usb

When i connect my iphone5 to my desktop computer it charges and i can see the charging symbol, but when i use the same cable to charge my new ipad5 it would not charge. Please help
    Hiten

An iPad requires more power than an iPhone to charge it (its wall charger is twice as powerful compared to the iPhone's), and a lot of computers generally do not provide enough power to their USB ports to charge the iPad at a sufficient rate - it may still be charging slowly, and should be a bit quicker if the iPad's screen is off (if you leave it for a while and then disconnect it from your computer you may find that it's battery percentage has gone up). The wall charger is usually the most efficient way to charge the iPad.

  • How do I set up starry night with MacBook pro on the USB port with a serial/USB adapter?

How do I set up a MacBook Pro running Lion to interface with Starry Night software? My telescope is a Meade LX200GPS with a serial input. I have tried using a Radio Shack USB/Serial adapter which worked when I used a Windows 7 laptop but does not work with my MacBook Pro.

Just started to research this on both this site and on Starry Night .I was hoping to find a driver for the Radio Shack USB Serial Adapter from Apple's site. Radio Shack only has the Windows driver that came with the adapter. Will let you know when I find the right driver. Stay tuned.

  • Miix 2 11" USB charging cable proprietary?

Hello, just general questions for the Miix 2 11": 1) Is the USB cable that came with my tablet proprietary? Or can I use any USB 2.0 cable to charge my tablet with the included special 20V 2A power adapter? 2) Can I use a standard Apple or Samsung 2A USB power adapter to charge this tablet? I understand it may be slower due to lower voltage. 3) Will a 2.1A power bank charge my tablet? Thanks! PS Is it really true that Lenovo has no email support?

Yes it is proprietary. It's so proprietary that even Lenovo cannot get you one; at leeast right now. Been bounced from Online Sales, to Tech Support, to Parts And Sales, back to Online Sales, and soon to be back to Parts and Sales tomorrow once they reopen. It's ridiculus. I purchased the only 40W (20V/2A) supply on their site as a backup. What I received is almost correct but also mostly useless. The charge adapter block that plugs into the wall is the same as the one provided with the unit and charges fine if you use the cable provided with the unit. The cable provided with the online sales adapter has what some onlines users call a kink in one of the USB connectors on the cable. It will not plug into the block or into the Miix 2 11. It appears to be made for a different unit all together. No one at the three branches of Lenovo support can or are willing to help. Tech Support only handles failed parts and Parts Sales claim that only Online Sales can help with online purchases. Online sales keeps saying that their computer does not list the correct part or that they cannot order it and only Parts and Sales can do that; 145500118 is the part number of the cable in question.  The cable is a standard looking USB Type A plug on both sides, but it drives 20V across some or all of the 6 pins. The typical USB cable has only four pins within the plug. No one, and i've even petitioned cable making websites, makes a 6 pin cable with a USB Type A end on both sides. There is an actual USB spec that supports this concept of fast charge with high voltage, but I'm not sure that if it uses 6 pins, the standard 4, or a different connector. And, no the unit will not charge with the cable provided in any other charger but the one provided. I've tried a 2 amp stanard USB charger with the provided unit cable, and this did not activate the charge indicator on the screen. It does not appear to recognize charging state if the cable is plug into some recepticle to shorts a pin or applies power across one of the extra 2 pins. I'm sure an electrical engineer could find the parts and build an appropriate cable. I really don't think that this should be required for a produciton machine that has been on sale for 4-6 months and is still on sale today. And if that sort of cable failed and cause a short or whateever, I'm sure that the warranty would be void. This sad state makes this tablet bordering on useless if you plan to travel at any time with it. Loose the cable or have it break and you can simply throw the tablet away in no more than 8 hours. Same is true for the adapter, but at least you can spend $40 + tax and get one of those from the onine store; assuming your cable still works. Very sad.

  • IPod Nano 1st Gen Wont Charge With USB Cable

I just purchased a brand new 4 gb white 1st gen iPod nano. From the moment I took it out of the packaging and tried to charge it with the provided USB cable I noticed it was not working. No response at all, nothing was getting into the iPod. I tried multiple USB cables with equal luck.
I have a Dension I.C.E Link Plus in my car, I figured I'd try it, sure enough the iPod Nano began charging and booted up. I finished charging it to a full charge in my car.
After a few days of use, I went to charge my iPod via USB cable and when I plug it in, it connects to the computer I can transfer songs perfectly but it constantly states that the iPod is "charged" displaying the plug battery icon not the flashing thunder bolt. So I figured it was charged, when I unplugged it from the USB cable the battery meter was clearly not charged.
So, I assumed it was my computer USB ports being messed up so I purchased a A/C Wall Charger Adapter. Once again it would only display "charged" so far the only thing that will charge my nano is my car.
With the A/C wall charger I have even tried multiple cables with no luck.
CAN SOMEONE HELP ME!?!?!? I thought it was suppose to charge with the provided USB cable? Thanks!

Yes you have a one year warranty from the date of purchase from Apple. Go to this link and on the bottom right hand side it will ask you to enter your serial number and will tell you if you are still under warranty. http://www.apple.com/support/
If you are you can take it to a Apple store, or request service online here http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/
If it is out of warranty you can google a third party service provider and get it serviced out of warranty. There are two that I know of that provide free diagnostic service. You only pay for shipping and they will tell you what is wrong and what it will cost to fix. They are ifixipodsfast.com and ipodmods.com but there are others also (I just have no experience with them) Good luck and as was stated it should charge from your usb. and just for grins, look at the docking connector on your ipod and see if there is any obstruction that is obvious.
