Inccreasing the timeout  parameter for the Oracle R12 session

Hi ,
We have set profile ICX:SESSION TIME OUT to be 45. But it seems the session times out very quickly. How can this time out be increased ?
WE are on R12.0.4.

  • Increasing the timeout period for a custom report

    Dear Friends
I have written a Program (SE38) which uses multiple select commands to search data from different tables and then generate a report. When I had less data, it was working properly. HOwever, with more data it times out.
Is there a way to manually change the timeout settings for this program only.
ANy feedback will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

Think about it, if this would have been the case every developer would then have changed the timeout settings for the program which was not performance efficient
Instead of concentrating on the solution for evading the timeout you should rather focus why it is occurring at first place.

  • Timeout parameter in standalone oracle calendar 10.1.2

I'm trying to locate the timeout parameter in oracle calendar 10.1.2. I have a standalone version. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Assuming you are talking about the timeout value for the web interface, it is in the {installdir}/ocas/conf/ocwc.conf file. The parameter you want to change is ssn_timeout. I believe you will need to restart ocas to make it effective.

  • Increasing the timeout parameter in ODI

    Hi,
I have got 7000 error code in a step while executing the scenario.
I have found out it may be time out error and it can be resolved by changing the timeout parameter in ODI(File->Userparameter->Oracle Data Integrator Timeout)
Is there any maximum limit for this timeout parameter? After changing this, should i restart the ODI server?
Can anyone suggest me quicly please?
Am i proceeding correctly for this 7000 error code?

    Hi,
Please post this question in the ODI forum:

  • Customize Output of the PO Output for Communication program R12

I have a requirement to change the output of the seeded PO Output for Communication program, so that it uses a custom RTF template to produce the documents.
To do this, I have registered this template in XML Publisher under the Purchasing application. I then navigated to Purchasing Super User > Setup > Purchasing > Document Types, and from the window opened, selected to update the Purchase Order Standard Type. From here, I updated the document name and the document type layout as my new custom template.
However, once I run the program, it completes with an error. The log file is pages and pages (that I won’t post here unless requested as necessary) but at the bottom is section produced that I think may be useful:

As you can see it's definitely picking up my custom template (NCC_STD_PO_RTF), and it appears to error when tryign to generate it as PDF.
I have attempted to attach the seeded xsl template to my template definition - to test if the error is due to the program expecting a certain template format - but, as the seeded template is in that particular format, and my definition is expecting rdf, it will not let me.
I am wondering if anyone has a solution for this requirement. We would like to keep the business process the same as it was in 11i, by using the seeded program, but with a custom template. But I understand that in R12, creating a custom program replicated from the seeded may be the only viable solution.
This is on Oracle Applications version 12.1.3.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated, and if you think that any more information is required, let me know.
    Thanks.

    Publisher version is 10.1.3.4.2.
It seemed to be a data issue. When a certain test PO with a insufficient amount of data in the XML output was put through the template, and hit these clauses, it failed, and the concurrent program errored.

  • Should I specify the Parallel parameter for an non-RAC database?

The Oracle documatation state as the following:
"The Oracle Database 10g Release 2 database controls and balances all parallel operations, based upon available resources, request priorities and actual system load." It show that Oracle can optimize the Parallel level automaticly.
Should I specify the Parallel parameter for a non-RAC database? Most of the transactions are small OLTP.

What parallel parameter are you talking about?
Generally, you may benefit from parallelization in a very similar manner on RAC as on single instance system. And it is in both cases not sufficient to change the value of any initialization parameter to achieve parallelization of queries, DDL or DML.
    Kind regards

  • SCCM 2012 R2 reporting error: "The DefaultValue expression for the report parameter 'UserTokenSIDs' contains an error: A specified logon session does not exist. It may already have been terminated. (rsRuntimeErrorInExpression)"

    Hi,
I have two SCCM environments under same active directory domain and one service account have been used for SCCM configurations on both the environments (QA and PRODUCTION). I am facing similar error as mentioned above while trying to fetch reports on
PRODUCTION site, but the QA site is working fine, though same service account have been used for configuring both. While looking at the reportserverservice_<date> log on my Production DB server i see the following error
    "processing!ReportServer_0-3!2124!01/02/2015-09:09:30:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ProcessingAbortedException: , Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ProcessingAbortedException: An error has occurred during
report processing. ---> Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.ReportProcessingException: Cannot read the next data row for the dataset DataSet1. ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Conversion failed when converting the nvarchar value 'Override
    Default' to data type int."
My DB and SCCM primary site are different and the reorting services point is installed on remote DB server. Please help me resolving the issue.
    Troubleshooting performed:
1.Disabled the registry key 'EnableRbacReporting' from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SMS\SRSRP to 0 and then restarted SSRS service and the reporting worked for some minutes after that the registry key reverted back to 1 automatically and
    reporting started throwing errors again.
    2. Checked with the permissions on DB whether or not 'sysadmin' role is assigned to the SCCM service account.
    3. re-registered the SQL management Provider WMI class.
    mofcomp.exe “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof”

    Hi All,
Finally found exact solution to the reporting error.
Error: while launching SCCM reports (both from Console and web based) an unexpected error occured with error message as "The DefaultValue expression for the report parameter ‘UserTokenSIDs’ contains an error: A specified logon session does not exist.
It may already have been terminated. (rsRuntimeErrorInExpression)"
Solution: This is password replication issue for the domain account used to configure reporting services point in SCCM. If your SQL SSRS reporting services instance and databse runs with local default account whereas the reporting services point on SCCM
primary site is configured with domain account, (As in My case) you need to perform the following in order to get rid of the error.
Launch 'Reporting Services Configuration Manager' from the SQL SSRS box(either Local or Remote), Connect to Report Server Instance->Go to 'Execution Account' tab->Specify the 'Execution Account' as domain account and password which is used to configure
Reporting Services Point in SCCM Primary Site, and then click apply.
Now Lauch the report either way (Web based or from Console), the error will disappear and all your default reports will execute perfectly as before.

    Hi Manish,
It seems that you are using a custom security provider and the weblogic server is not able to find the class / jar file that contains the class.
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: Failed to load class com.msl.security.providers.SessionPrincipal]
Make sure you have all the required jar files in the server classpath.
You can use the JarScan utility to find the jar that contains the class.
Refer the below link regarding the jarScan.

  • What is the default timeout value for the SPQuery object?

What is the default timeout value for the SharePoint SPQuery object? I've tried searching online but can't find anything with the actual timeout value.
Someone suggested it might use the timeout property in the database? Anyone know if that's how it works?

    Hi,
Do you want to avoid timeout when you query list items?
If so, we can use the following C# code to set timeout.
    HttpContext.Current.Server.ScriptTimeout = 600; // 10 minutes
    More information is here:
    http://200oksolutions.blogspot.com/2013/03/sharepoint-2010-set-timeout-only-to.html
The SPQuery object doesn’t provide any property to set timeout. We can also set timeout in web.config, or SQL Connections or IIS.
    Thanks,

  • How to change timeout parameter value in Oracle 10g R2

Anyone knows how to change timeout parameter value in Oracle 10g Database R2?

    Waheed Azhar wrote:
actually i am getting ORA-01013 exception which directly relates to the timeout value but i think it's hidden parameter...What makes you think it's a hidden parameter?
A search of MetaLink for that error turns up a number of hits, most of which a very situational specific. Exactly what are you doing when you get this error? Are you connecting over an ODBC connection? Are you getting it on a connection request? At db shutdown? During a long-running query?

  • How to use the date format for the given req.?

I have a requirement which should fetch the datas given by user. The user parameter is the date. The date will fetch the amount of the customer code for that particular month based on the date upto given by the user of that financial year.
If the user parameter is given as 200703(YYYYMM) it should fetch the datas of the financial year from 200604(YYYYMM) to 200703(YYYYMM). The logic is the user parameter year should fetch the datas of previous year till the user given date and the month should be also do the same. Please do the needfull oracle experts.
    Regards,
    Mark

As i am new to oracle i need help from you experts, The year and the month as seperate columns both as different data type as number and varchar2. There is no date column in the table.
    Table GTemp:
    DIVISION_CODE NUMBER(2)
    GL_CODE NUMBER(6)
    FINANCIAL_YEAR NUMBER(4)
    FINANCIAL_MONTH VARCHAR2(2)
    Query that i have used:
    SELECT ALL GTEMP.FINANCIAL_YEAR, GTEMP.FINANCIAL_MONTH, GTEMP.GL_CODE
    FROM GTEMP
    WHERE financial_year between 2007 - 1 and 2007
    and financial_month in ('4',' 12')
    and division_code = 11
    order by financial_month
I know this will not fetch from the date the user parameter enters however is there any other options. Please help me out morgan...

  • CFQUERY Timeout Parameter for SQL2005 Fails

    Here's my test:
    <cfquery name="test" datasource="dsn" timeout="1">
      select top 20000 *
      from table
    </cfquery>
    <cfoutput>#cfquery.ExecutionTime#</cfoutput>
I'm getting 3000+ for this value.  This shouldn't be, right?  Because I have the timeout parameter set for a second?  The driver I'm using is the one that's
supplied with CFMX7.02, "Microsoft SQL Server", hooked into a MS SQL Server 2005 Standard.  Why is CF ignoring the timeout parameter?

    Hi,
Anyone? I saw many articles in Metalink regarding the tx_timeout parameter - also one which a customer is demanding an explanation and enhancement on the tx_timeout parameter. Come to think of it, when will it work? only for Exchange? (found some hints on this in metalink).
But still, is there no other way to immediately know if the port has opened or not?
I will try the following: http://www.oraclenerd.com/2008/11/javaplsql-port-scanner-ii.html , but still would prefer a PL/SQL solution though.
    Many Thanks,
    Henry Wu

  • Display established connection timeout parameter for an ACE

We are using an ACE Software version A2(3,5) and we try to diagnos a parameter map probleme.
Is there a way to know what is the timeout parameter applied to an established connexion? The command "show conn address ip netmask mask detail" only show the elapse idle time.
    Thanks

When one of our top management tries to access a particulat Dash Board in EP system for the first time in the morning
he gets an error connection to partner timeout after 60 seconds
He, he, he.... I wonder why thing like this always happen to the big chiefs...
Anyhow... Does this happen to anyone else?... if not then it could be a name resolution issue... also check the exceptions on the proxy settings of IE.
