Incident / Accident Internal no. assignment

Hi,
I have a question about internal no. assignment to incident / accident log when transferred from Injury / Illness log.
I have created on Injury / Ill ness log with  00000000000000000001 no. The next injury / Illness log was created with 00000000000000000003 no. and when I transfrred the Injury / Illness no. 00000000000000000001 to Incident / Accidnet log with tcode CBIH89, it created Incident / Accident log with internal no. 00000000000000000002.
Here after what ever injury / Illness log I have created, it created in proper sequence with internal no. assignment. But whenever I have transferred injury / Illness log to Incident / Accident log, it is skipping some nos. in between while creating Incident / Accident log. It is not coming in sequence.
I am not able to understand this internal no. assignment behaviour.
Can anyone explain me the same?
I am checking ths scenario on IDES server.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Niraj

Niraj Bhai
same thing happens when u r creating IAL thro CBIH82
if u enetr details and just press enter IAL LOg gets generated, but if u save then only u can furtehr edit it, but if u dont save the record after clicking on enter, and comes out of t code,
particular number generated is consumed, and u will not find any record with this consumed number , even not in CCIHT_IAL
i think happens because, incidnet is created in 2 stages, first it creates incident with number and keeps it in buffer, then it updates the record, means it fills person involved data from creation screen to involved tab, this happens when it is saved
and wrt ur case, u r creating IAL through CBIH89 i e by transfering from IIL to IAL, i think same thing happens of first creation and then update,
by debugging we will come to know exactly hat happens
thanks and regards.

  • Incident/accident vs illness

    Hi All
I have try to find out the difference between these two. I could not find much difference.
    seconldly,
I created a few incident logs and CBIH89 - Transfer Data from Injury/Illness Log .
I dont see any data getting transfered.

    Hello Rama,
The difference between injury / illness log and Inc / Acc log is :
Injuty  / Illness log helps you to enter and manage data in the system for any in-company medical treatment. This includes first aid in the event of accidents or minor injuries, treatment of old injuries, or treatment of persons who feel unwell.
If this injury / illness is due to some inc / Acc happened in your company, you need to record the incident / accident also, is done in Incidet / Accident log.
Incident  / Accident log supports you with the recording and processing of work-related events. It allows you to comply with the requirements of national and international law. The term u201Ceventu201D refers to everything you are required to record or wish to record: ranging from personal injuries and damage to property to accidents and near misses.
And when you transfer Injury / Illness log to Incident  / Accident log, details about Event date and time, injury to a person and some treatment details are only gets transfered. With Incident  / Accident log, you can then do investigation of the incident and find root cause analysis for stopping the occurence of such type of Inident / Accident, details of the injry etc.
Injury / Illness log is transfered to Incident /  Accident log, only for the injuty / Illness log created with those Injury / Illness Log entry type for which Contol indicator is set as 2. This is done in customizing under EHS-> Occupational Health -> Injury / Illness log - > Basic settings -> Specify Injury / Illness Log Entry type. Select suitable Log entry type here and go to details  and maintian the value as 2 for Transf. control. So now whenever any injury / Illness log is created with this log entry type, you will be able to transfer the same using tcode :CBIH89.
Hope this clarifies all your doubts.

  • Incident/Accident log - Immediate Action taken

    Hi,
can anyone explain me where to record immediate actions taken against an incident or accident.
    thanks in advance
    kavi

    Hi Ravi,
You can use the following methods to  solve your problem:
    1. In the Investigation tab, u will find the Root cause tree.. For each node, you can link the Safety Measures.
    2. Provide the Action details in More accident data tab
    3. If you need a new tab, create a new Value assignment type in the Customizing, assign it to Object type "IAL - Incident/ Accident Log entry" and then you can provide Free text or assign phrases as Immediate actions taken (If you opt for Phrase Management).
    Hope it Helps,
    Raghu

  • How to create a Business Partner with internal number assignment

    Hello,
We are using a CRM 7.0 system. We want to create a new Business Partner using LSMW. We chose IDoc basic type CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE_M03 to perform it. We want to create it with internal number assignment (we don't have BP ID or BP GUID). Unfortunatelly, when we leave PARTNER_NO and PARTNER_GUID fields empty, we get an error message that we should supply at least BP ID or BP GUID. So what values should we enter in order to create a BP with internal number assignment?
Please put attention that we also don't want to enter any alternative external number because we don't want the end user to see after in the WebUI.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sergey Kozyrev

    Hello,
Standard CRM PC UI application offers three options when you push 'New' button: 'Person', 'Organization' and 'Group' (combobox appears). In your case, 'Person' should be selected.
p.s. If you don't see combobox mentioned above, it could be security issue.

  • Incident/Accident Log - Create description field in new tab page

    Dear all,
    I have a question about Incident/Accident Log.
In the Incident/Accident Log, a new tab page and fields inside it can be created using class and characteristics, respectively. The characteristic value field is limited to 30 characters length by the system.
Is there any way a field for comments (say, of 100 characters minimum length) can be created in the tab page.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Mohan

    Hi Mohan,
I don't think there is any standard way to increase characteristic value field.  However, you may want to consider a workaround.  You may create a 'Multivalue' characteristic with 30 characters length.  This gives you an option of entering multiple lines of 30 characters.  The problem with this is... SAP automatically sorts the values.
    For example,
    if you enter
    THIS IS A MULTIVALUE
    CHARACTERISTIC WITH 30
    CHARACTERS IN LENGTH.  I NEED
    TO ENTER COMMENTS THAT ARE
    MORE THAN 30 CHARACTERS.
(Please note that I am putting the word in next line if it cannot be accomodated fully in the current line.  That means, some lines may contain less than 30 characters.)
    SAP Shows it as,
    CHARACTERISTIC WITH 30
    CHARACTERS IN LENGTH.  I NEED
    MORE THAN 30 CHARACTERS.
    THIS IS A MULTIVALUE
    TO ENTER COMMENTS THAT ARE
You may put numbers infront of each line to avoid this.
    1 THIS IS A MULTIVALUE
    2 CHARACTERISTIC WITH 30
    3 CHARACTERS IN LENGTH.  I
4 NEED TO ENTER COMMENTS THAT
5 ARE MORE THAN 30 CHARACTERS.
I know it is not the best solution, but worth giving a shot.

  • Error in SAP HCM OM No valid interval found (internal number assignment)

    Hi Experts,
I am facing a typical problem. When ever I am trying to create any OM Object from any transaction say PO10,PO13,PO12 what ever the system is giving an error "No valid interval found (internal number assignment". I have check every thing i.e. Number Range, PLOGI PLOGI in T77S0 but the situation remains same. It seems any how the system is not at all picking up any number range at all. Please suggest.
    Samrat Sarkar

    Hi Samrat
Reading the above posts I think you are trying to create the number range as "01S". The reason that you may not be allowed to create a number range is because your plan version might be different.
Check the below node to see what is set as your active plan version:
Personnel Management --> Global Settings in Personnel Management --> Plan Version Maintenance --> Set Active Plan Version
Then while creating your number range subgroup you would have to create as PlanVersionObject type:
Example: Number assignment for plan version 10 / object type S then Subgroup 10S
    Try this out.

  • Internal Number Assignment-OM(Org Unit)

    Hi
In change mode of org.& staffing, system is not allowing to create org.stru. in current plan. it's throwing error "No Valid interval found". Probably this is related to internal no. assignment.
Can some one help this, how to assign that in back end..

    Hi,
Go to OONR and check what settings are already there.
Under entry $$$$ in Interval maintenance, there will be two intervals, one EX and other IN. EX interval range would be used for external assignment, IN would be used for internal assignment.
Check the ranges of the intervals. One reason could be that the range has been used up.

    Shreyasi.

  • Internal number assignment for object AUFTRAG

    Hello,
Previously with SAP PM module we had configured the maintenance work order number range for internal assignment to a narrow range of numbers i.e. 12000000 to 12999999.
Following rolling out the functionality to other sites, we required to extend the internal number range (to accomodate the volume to be produced) and have updated this in configuration i.e. 300,000,000,000 to 399,999,999,999.
    We are now experiencing an information message each time we Save a new maintenance work order;
Internal number assignment for object AUFTRAG (numbers are in critical area)
    Message no.  RU 153
    When the user clicks Enter to continue a warning message is also displayed on the status bar;
Number XXXXXX for order type XXX within critical area
    Message no. CO 395
However, we have investigated this and the work orders are creating normally after this. We have created in the system, the work orders with the prevous number range and also hunders of work orders with the new number range, we do not appear to be experiencing our buffer.
I have check the settings in SNRO config setting. The settings appear as standard with a warning buffer of 5% and the No. of numbers in buffer = 20.
Please can anyone advise how to remove this information message or how to update the system to resolve.
    Regards,
    Hayley

The message is given by the number range function, according to the configuration of field percentage. You have entered 5% - which means when you reach within 5% of the end of the numbers, you should get the warning. Your range is 300,000,000,000 to 399,999,999,999 My calculation that you should get the warning around 395,000,000,000
I suspect that the issue is linked to buffering of the numbers. Is it resolved??
