Include a framework in next version CF?

I think, CF should release next version with a default
framework.
Like struts or something like that.
how many different framwroks we have in cf?. cfonwheels ,
modelglue etc...
Ruby on Reils is rocking, cuz it follow a framework and
strict coding standards.
CF should follow ruby on reils...or CF future will be hard.
I want to use best framework. Which one in market is best
framework for CF?

I would think that allowing the flexibility to use whatever
framework you desire would be more beneficial to a developer than
funneling them into a predefined default framework... no?
A framework is a developer choice, not a platform
choice.

  • Please Include iMovie HD 6 in Next Version of iLife

Please include iMovie HD 6 in the next version of iLife. It is a great product and very different from iMovie '08. If necessary, call it (or iMovie '08) by another application name. I miss many of the features of iMovie HD 6, but the lack of plug-in support is the most disappointing. For example GeeThree's Slick plug-ins are amazingly powerful and easy to use. I've created several movies for friends and in the process convinced a few to be 'Switchers.'
If you don't include iMove HD 6 in the next version of iLife, I suspect that you will eventually stop supporting it. However, based on the recent feature additions ('add backs') with the Leopard 10.5.2 update, I'm confident that you are listening and responding to customer requests.
    Thank you.

Please include iMovie HD 6 in the next version of iLife.
    IT IS!
Remember that Apple includes iMovie 06 is a free download to iLife 08 owners. (THEY WANT YOU TO HAVE IT!)
    http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imovieHD6.html
You are acting like iMovie 06 is obsolete. iMovie 06 is _very much_ alive and well. Most owners of iLife 08 I know use iMovie 06.
There is only one logical answer. The next version of iLife (09?) will have to include iMovie 'elements' (Based on iMovie 08) and iMovie 'Pro' (Based on iMovie 06). I for one, would gladly pay over $100 just for a iMovie 'Pro' (Based on iMovie 06).
I look forward to an upgrade of iMovie 06, (iMovie Pro?) until that time Apple still provides us with excellent tools with BOTH iMovie 08 and iMovie 06.

  • Sneak peek: the next version of DW

Alejandro Guttierez shows off one of the main new features in the next version of Dreamweaver.
    http://blogs.adobe.com/dreamweaver/2013/04/nextgendreamweaver.html
By the way, if you plan to attend Adobe MAX, I am presenting a 90-minute hands-on lab diving into the detail of how to use the new CSS Designer panel. The lab will be presented twice at 2.45pm on Monday, 6 May, and at 11am on Wednesday, 8 May.
The blog post also confirms what I have suspected for a long time: server behaviors will be removed from the next version. They'll still be available as an extension, so existing users aren't left in the lurch. But the message is clear: start thinking of alternatives.

    David_Powers wrote:

Just removing the server behaviours without replacing them with something more up-to-date its NOT very forward thinking of Adobe. The server behaviours IS or WAS a massive reason to use Dreamweaver.
I have no idea whether Adobe plans to replace server behaviors with something more up to date. What I do know is that the forum dedicated to developing server-side applications in Dreamweaver has become less and less active in the past year or so. Maybe that's because people who don't want to write their own code rely on the more sophisticated offerings of extension developers, such as WebAssist and DMX Zone, who have their own forums. However, if I used those extensions my main concern would be that, as far as I know, they're dependent on the deprecated mysql functions.
Working with a database doesn't necessarily involve writing a lot of code. There are several powerful PHP frameworks, all of them free, that do all the hard lifting for you. When I wrote Adobe Dreamweaver CS5 with PHP: Training from the Source, only one chapter was devoted to using server behaviors. The book was published by Adobe Press, and with Adobe's full knowledge and approval, it concentrated on using Zend Framework 1. It also showed how to use WordPress in Dreamweaver. I think the rise of WordPress played a similar role in the fate of server behaviors as jQuery played in the decision to cease investing in Spry.
If WordPress is too much like a sledgehammer, an alternative is Perch. It's not free, and it requires a separate licence for each website, but it has an excellent reputation. It's developed and maintained by Drew McLellan and his wife, Rachel Andrew, two very talented web developers (they're Brits, too). I don't have any affiliation with them. I've just heard lots of good things about them and Perch.
Sure David I hear what you're saying BUT Wordpress is too clumsy for the client to use simply. It's far too easy to add a myriad of extentions which could break the website design. Every time Wordpress is released you need to upgrade with it. It has security risks as far as I know. It's certainly not soemthing that I would touch after having given it a run out, several times. The whole package is really messy in my view and you're less in control of the process. Coding is King.
Yes, Perch is much better and simpler but is still quite restrictive, I've used that too. I've just finished a website which as far as I'm concerned required a bespoke CMS. Not only that if you write the code, or most of it, you have full control and knowledge in the event of something which stops working......at least I have a chance of sorting out the problem them. Totally relying on 3rd party products or extentions you have zero chance UNLESS you're some kind of code wizard which you arent going to be if youre using Wordpress or Perch.
I think the reason why there is less and less activity in the forum you mentioned is that many have moved away from using the DW server behaviours (php is the most popular server language by far) BUT Adobe have sat on their backside and missed the boat prefering to concentrate on rather lame updates.
I'm sure your right about WebAssist and DMX Zone whose extention MUST be compatibale with the Dreamweaver ones. I guess its over to them to come up with something that replaces the ones in Adobe as they themselves are highly unlikley to do it themselves.
For me its a question of I have now got to go and learn some of the new sqli which on the outset seems a lot more streamlined than the functional crap DW was writting anyway.

  • My WishList  of features for next Version

    Hi Team,
As  Developer I really love Catalyst,It does complete my FlashBuilder development experience  all the way, but still  I would like to share some of my wishes on features that could be nice to have  for next Version:
    1) Build but dont automatically open new Browser, (currently everytime I want to test a change I have to ctr+enter it and it opens new instance of IE, even though url is the same, would be nice just to build it and I could refresh my IE (saves some memory on IE instances) or maybe there is already a way to do it?
    2) ability to copy some Layers from one Buttons state to another buttons state, for example I designed a button component and now I want to copy some of the
    layers to Toggle button component.
the way I did it was following
I copied my finished button and then I right clicked and selected "Revert Component to Artwork" and then I selected all artwork parts and did convert to component -> toggle button, but this way it only copied layers that I have initially creted for the button and not the layers that I have added in buttons over state.
thats it so far, everyhing else seems great.

    You're welcome.
It will certainly be interesting to that device if it included all that hardware, and options.
    It might look like this

  • Next version drops Layout Mode?

I read this from a link posted on the NAPP forums. Adobe
plans to drop many current features of Dreamweaver in the next
update including Layout Mode. I'm not an HTML "coder". I have two
simple web pages that I maintain and rely on WYSIWYG to format
them. I can't believe Adobe would do away with this ability. If I
wanted to hand code pages, I'd get a book, learn HTML and use
    BBEdit!
There are a number of features being discontinued in the next
version. I'm a novice and have no clue what many of them are or
what they do, so you might want to check the list for yourself
    Here's
    The Link
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...2489&sliceId=1
Appears the link no longer works. It does not work from the
original posting on NAPP either. What's up Adobe?

I'll sleep easy at night knowing all you Webmaster mavens and
code heads look forward to the changes. Hey, what do I know. I'm
just a graphic designer, prepress type who, quite honestly, has no
    desire to learn HTML.
I have two web sites that I maintain. One personal (family
photos, recipes, news etc.) the other for a local charitable club.
They are very simple sites that I put up
YEARS ago when the first edition of PageMill was offered. And
(gasp) they both use frames! Neither us CSS style sheets (shame on
me), because I just want to get in, make a couple changes and get
out and I don't want to expand my knowledge much since I don't
foresee adding "features" to either of my sites.
I "upgraded" to GoLive at the announcement of the funeral for
PageMill. Besides, I was purchasing the CS and GL came with the
box. But, with Adobe's purchase of Macro Media, I could see that DW
would soon be king of the mountain and the possible demise of GL,
so when upgrading to CS3, I got the Premium package that included
DW and ported my pages over from GL.
I had no idea what a Div Tag was, really still don't fully
comprehend, I just know that they were "present" when I started
using CS DW. It didn't take me long to figure out they were kinda
like "frames" in Quark or InDesign. Kinda neat, you could put them
anywhere on the "page" and insert just about anything (text,
    tables, graphics) inside them.
DOOZA is close to summing up Adobe's marketing scheme, but I
don't think they are deceptive in fooling..."people into thinking
Dreamweaver is the perfect choice for someone who is not willing to
    learn. They fool them into
thinking Dreamweaver will do all the hard work for them."
It's a matter of learning what you need to know to get the job
done. I don't care if my "code is sloppy", or the page takes a
micro second longer to open because I didn't use CSS styles, or
that the upload files are 80K bigger than they need to be because
    of all the extra tags.
I'm sure there are many, like me, who don't ever want to have
to look at a page in code view, could care less what goes on
"behind the scenes" as long as we get the information out there.
That's not Adobe's fault. And I don't mind being considered an
"amature" compared to the Web Wizards. You can't say that's any
worse than someone using MS Word as a Page Layout program if it's
serving the purpose to make simple flier for the copy machine.
They'll call a printer when they want a trifold four color
brochure, just as I would hire one of you "pros" if I wanted a web
store front with shopping cards and security features.

  • E-Sourcing/CLM - next versions?

    Hi
We concider to implement the E-sourcing/CLM solution.
But I can see that the mainstream maintenance of the current versions (e-sourcing 5.1/CLM 2.0) ends in 2012.
Therefor we would rather wait for the next version if it is released soon.
I can see that e-sourcing 6/CLM 3 is available as a hosted solution.
Will the not-hosted solutions be GA soon?
    Best regards
    Lars

    Hi,
u2026Whatu2019s the change from SAPu2019s latest on the product line?
    -          Current version of SAP E-Sourcing is 5.1
    -          E-Sourcing 6.0 will be made available as "On-Demand" multi-tenant solution.  For the customers who are interested in "Single Tenant Hosted" deployment option, we will be also offering "On-Demand Private
Edition" of E-Sourcing 6.0 at the same time, November 26, 2009. Customers who are interested in the "On-Premise" deployment will need to wait for the next release, E-Sourcing 7.0, currently scheduled for
    August 2010.
So what is the suggested way forward if you want to upgrade from E-sourcing 5.1(on premise) to E-Sourcing 6.0?
And what is the suggested way for customers who want to have new E-Sourcing 6.0 on premise installed? Is it not an option or wait till Aug 2010?
This is what SAP has to say
SAP have made strategic decision not to make the "On-Premise" deployment option available for every "On-Demand" release.
    - In order to introduce new features faster, SAP will be focusing on "On-Demand" solution with a new release in every six months. (New OD releases scheduled for Q2 2010, Q4 2010, Q2 2011, Q4 2011, etc..)
    - On-Premise customers typically do not upgrade every six months.  When SAP delivers an "On-Premise" release, it will be a cumulative release that includes all new features delivered in the all prior "On-Demand" releases.  So, SAP will continue to provide new features to "On-Premise" customers and will continue to provide a reasonable migration path for all On-Premise customers.   However, it won't be as frequent as "On-Demand" releases and the "On-Premise" release will be synchronized with the SAP Business Suite release cycle.
Next "On-Premise" release (E-Sourcing 7.0) is currently scheduled for August 2010.
    Hope this helps

  • When to expect next version?

I may be just a little too anxious, but does anyone (including Oracle personnel) know when the next version of SQL Developer will be available. Just a guess, I won't hold anyone accountable. :-)
I will be looking for version 1.5.4.58.42 or higher because it should contain a bug fix I reported.
I currently miss the drag and drop to worksheet feature which used to include the prefixed schema name in my select statements but the current version is missing the prefixed schema name when I drag and drop.
I hope to see that nice feature back in the next release as it will save me the extra typing I have to keep doing.

Unfortunately, the people who know more than "when it comes" (which is all I know) are not allowed to say. It may not be a helpful comparison, but I think the time between 1.5.1 and 1.5.3 (1.5.2 was never released) was six months. However, from memory this was one of the longer gaps between point releases.

  • Where dos "Oracle Business Component Browser" go in the next Version ?

    Hello "Oracle"
I am asking you about the BC4J "test-browser", will this go further in the next versions ?
If yes, can you tell in wath direction and in wath timeframe ?
If you do not want to make this "public" please let me also know.
    Tanks
    Christian

    Hi Laura
    I am very interested at a "suffisticated" UI-Browser for the BC4J View-Objects.
The idea is, that I not have to program a UI-Object the present the data to the User. Also that this UI-Browser dos support many presentation technologies (like Java-Application, JSP (Servlet), XML/XSL etc.).
I will not define for each view-object a UI-object, I like to define one UI-Object for all view-objects in my project.
What you think, will there be a effor, in your team, in that direction? Or do I have to program this UI-Browser by myself? Or do you know someone witch has allready designed a Browser like that?

Our 3.2 release is due out in late November and there are some bugfixes for the tester included. The tester is basically a Java Application that uses the Data Aware Controls that we include with JDeveloper (InfoProducer and InfoSwing components on the Component Palette).
In the 3.2 release, the source for this application is included so users can see how it is implemented and make changes if they like.
The basic function of the tester is to provide users with a UI to try out their business logic code without having to generate their own UI.
Is there a specific area of functionality you are interested in?

  • Flex Builder 4 (next version) will be called Flash Builder

Adobe has just announced that the next version of Flex Builder will be called Flash Builder .. the framework will still be called Flex
I think although the change is confusing, in the long run it adds clarity ... here's why ...
    1. Flash Builder (formerly Flex Builder) is an IDE to write .SWF (Flash Player) files .... no matter what application framework you use, it could be pure AS3 code (i.e your own framework) , Flex framework or anything else .. there are many other framework options (although Flex is the most mature) ... Flash Builder can be used to build in any of those frameworks.
    2. Flex is a framework of classes that solve several everyday application development problems when building apps that can run in the Flash Player ... you can use any tool to write your own classes that use flex framework classes (a flex application) ... Flash Builder (previously Flex Builder) or FDT or a text editor like TextMate.
    Mrinal

Still don't like the name change...but after chatting for you on Twitter...I think I can use to it -;)
    Greetings,
    Blag.

  • Your feature requests for next version?

I have submitted mine on the feedback page, but I would love to know what you all want the next version to include in terms of improvements and additional features.
In short, my prefered additions would include:
    -Stack/collapse all in one keystroke
-More adjustments (among them lens distortion and CA correction)
    -Speeeed
    -Panorama stitching
-Networking, being able to share images

I like and use Aperture a lot, but realistically is still a v1 program. So I am looking forward to v2. Here's my wish list ....
    1. Plug In suppport - Nik plug-in's etc.
    2. iLife suite integration without duplicating photos or relying on Automator
    3. Integration to FCP suite ..... since the photos are in a package!
    4. Ability to use Spotlight external to the package ... or get rid of the package and just move to either file/folder structure or go to an indexed "RDBMS" database (yes, holy wars on this one, I know)
    5. Burn archive of import, as a workflow element.
Multiple aperture libraries selectable from the File dialog vs. preference and then quit/launch
    6. Span aperure library across drives
7 Standard max/min/lozenge buttons on windows and fonts that an over 50 year old can read .... or adjust .... on today's 23" or 30" high res. displays.
    8. oh, and did somebody say .....
    S-P-E-E-D?
    speed
    SPEEEED
    9. ....but at least give us progress bars when say, moving photos from project to project
    10. Undo on deleting a project .... you're into re-importing from the Mac trash can after figuring out which photo you need (yup, I have the scars and wasted time award)
    11. Better visual representation of what's happening (or not) when trying to move photos across albums etc.
Either give us full line camera RAW support, or DNG linear support, or a plug in capability.
    12. Overlay one photo on another in book view (tools to increase transparency/reduce saturation on the background photo to create a sense/theme)
    12. CURVES!! tool
    13. Loupe tool that will stay over the photo while I use the mouse to alter tool settings
    14. .... and Luddite that I am, I do still need a <Cmd>+ / <Cmd> - zoom function along with the loupe.
Here endeth today's list. And my thanks to Joe and the Aperture development team in advance!

  • Will the next version of elements contain green screen

Will the next version of photoshop elements contain green screen

Green screen exists in the combo (including the Premiere Elements video editor) but I’m not sure it’s needed in Photoshop Elements. It’s already possible to quickly select any solid color background.

  • When will you release the next version of Strobe? + Feature suggestions

Thanks for a really excellent, solid and well thought-through video player.
I'm just curious on when the next version will be released. What kind of features are planned? A public roadmap would be really nice to have when developing around this player.
    My suggestions would be:
    Simple JavaScript API
An optional loader graphic while the media element is being retrieved/determined. (Instead of the miss-aligned buttons and completely black screen)
Possibility for the user to retry playback if RTMP connection fails, (media element not found) instead of locking the player, currently forcing the user to reload the browser.
Remove the pause button on live streams and replace it with a stop button. (When DVR is not supported obviously)

    Hi,
Thank you these great suggestions!  We will definitely consider these for our future roadmap.  A couple quick answers to your questions:
We are shooting to release the next version (v1.5) of Strobe Media Playback (SMP) in December.
One of the key features of SMP 1.5 is a JavaScript API for creating player controls.  We've actually just released a sprint drop that includes this feature, and the source can be downloaded here and the specification can be found here.
Some of the other planned features for SMP 1.5 include Multicast support and an HTML5 fallback engine.  (Please note that these are just planned and not committed features.)
We have just added support for an FMS 3.5.3 feature called Stream Reconnect to OSMF 1.5 (release currently scheduled for early November).  In the event of a network connection loss, this allows the player to continue to play out the buffer while it attempts to reconnect to the network.  Would this suit your needs?  We will likely eventually add this to SMP as well.
Any other questions or feedback, please let me know.
    Thanks!

  • Next version of AE & Cloud Subscription

I've been hearing and reading a whole lot about the next version of After Effects, specifically as it relates to including the Cinema 4D Lite version.  This got me to thinking about the next version of all the apps available via the Creative Cloud, and how these types of upgrades will work?  When the CS7 (or CS6.5) iteration of apps start being released, will Creative CLoud end up as a totally new and different purchase, or will our current subscriptions carry over?

    hi Wizaerd01
you will not have to purchase new subscription the same subscription will carry over and incase if new version of any product is released you will be able to get it through your subscription.

  • Next version of JDeveloper

    To JDev team:
When is the next version of Jdeveloper due? Currently using JDeveloper 3.1 and it doesn't seem to have output in XML format.
    Alan

    Hi Alan,
We definitely can output to XML in JDev 3.1. The one thing we don't provide is a way to 'create' XML files from the New gallery (File | New), but if you have an XML, XSQL, or XSL file, you can add it to your project, and JDeveloper will know what it is and how to handle it. You can even right-mouse on the file and check the syntax.
JDeveloper includes Oracle's XML Parser (JDEV_HOME\lib\xmlparserv2.jar). Most of the information about using XML and this parser are located in the Developing Business Components section of the online help.
You can also view the XML online walkthrough demo on the JDeveloper page of OTN.
You can use a different parser if you want to. Just add it's jar file to the JDEV_HOME\lib directory, create a library for it under Project Properties on the Libraries page, and add the new library to your project.
In JDev 3.2, we will provide the ability to create XML, XSQL, and XSL files from the New Gallery, wizards, etc.

  • Any news on next version of iPhone

    Hi,
I am intending to purchase an iPhone but one of my main requirements is more space (at least 16GB). Has there been any mention of expected dates for the next version and whether more space is likely? Either based on previous apple release cycles or other information?
    Thanks for your time.

Are you trying to buy an iPhone or an iPod? If it is the latter, why don't you buy the $399.00 iPod.
Why would you need to buy a cell phone that had these applications if you were looking for a phone. Even a MAC computer only goes up to 4GB and YES I do know that you have a disk included.
The iPhone is not a pocket computer.
