Include another web page content

Hi All,
I'm currently looking for a new job, but there are sooooo many job sites. I want create a .jsp to go to all the different sites and select the "search" for me to show it all in one big page.
eg. If I pass it this string "http://forum.java.sun.com/post.jsp?forum=45"
"http://forum.java.sun.com/post.jsp?forum=47"
"http://forum.java.sun.com/post.jsp?forum=48"
"http://forum.java.sun.com/post.jsp?forum=49"
the document will contain only posts 45,47,48 and 49.
Can it be done in JSP ??
Please help me out with some code, I really need a job soon.
Had a look at <jsp:include> but that woulld not work.
Thanks for any help.
P.S. I'm sure there is a lot of people who would like to do the same thing.

See for example Request and Http custom tags from Coldtags suite:

  • Including a web page in my jsf

    Hi,
    I have a tabbed panel (I'm using myfaces' tomahawk) and I want to include in one tab the content of another web page.
    Is it possible ?
    Thank you.

    Yes.
    Like this:
    <jsp:include page="includedPage.jsp" flush="true"/>
    The page must be like this:
    <f:subview id="idofincludedpage">

  • Downloading web page content

    I want to take radio programme listings from a web page, such that I can parse the data and select certain programmes details only.
    Firstly how do I actually get the web page content out? Does it go into a text file? The actual content includes programme times, which might be a means of picking out selected text. Does anyone know where I could find some code that will do that. My intention is to pass this information into a database which connects to my own web site.
    This is for a dissertation and I am starting to run out of time, so I would be hugely grateful for any assistance.
    Thanks
    Rob

    Looks like you need to...
    a. Read Javadoc for java.net.URL
    b. Read about JDBC(if what I understood is right, which is output of your program goes to database) See http://java.sun.com/products/jdbc/index.html
    c. Read about XML parsing and transformations. See http://java.sun.com/xml/xml_jaxp.html

  • Simulate frames by loading web page content into DIV

    Hi, does anyone know if there is a way to simulate frames
    using CSS. Essentially, I want to load the content from another web
    page into a specific DIV. The content is from another web site, we
    have permission to use it, but I want it to appear within a page on
    my site that still has my navigation and header DIVs. So I want to
    load a new page into a content DIV, as if it were a frame. Can this
    be done? Thanks, JD

    By the way, IFrames have the same problems as frames....

  • Printing web page content from android tablet

    When I attempt to eprint a web page, the web address line prints just fine (with a lower line that reads:"sent from Samsung tablet"), but none of the content, even though the print preview showed everything on the page that I needed. PLEASE HELP!   Is the web page content considered an attachment and if so, how do I get the attachment to print?

    Hi TurboLady,
    Thank you for the update.  I appreciate it.  You read the document correctly.
    The best way to print the web content is to print the web page using the browser found in the HP ePrint app.  Please download and install the HP ePrint Mobile app from the Google Play store. For reference I’ve included the HP ePrint Mobile App FAQ document.
    Please let me know how that works for you.

  • Read web page content via Sockets

    Hey,
    I have to write a program that will read web page content, using sockets.
    I got that piece of code and it works for most pages:
    Socket socket = new Socket(address, 80);
              BufferedReader input =
                   new BufferedReader(
                        new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream()));
              PrintWriter output =
                   new PrintWriter(socket.getOutputStream(), true);
              output.println("GET " + pageName);
              String response = "";
              String curline  = input.readLine();
              int i=1;
              while(curline != null){
                 response += "\n" + curline;
                   curline   = input.readLine();
                   System.out.println(i + curline);
                   ++i;
              output.close();
              input.close();but not for the one it is supposed to work:
    http://portalwiedzy.onet.pl/tlumacz.html
    I could get it to work using this:
    URL url = new URL(host + query);
    URLConnection uc = url.openConnection();but I really have to use sockets.
    Any advice, people? :-)

    There's an RFC that goes over the HTTP protocol (or rather, several RFCs for the several versions of the protocol). You probably want to google for that and use it as a reference for this project.

    It depends on your settings for how you copy/paste. See your
    PREFERENCES
    for those. I don't get such things because my settings are
    'tight' in that
    they are restrictive to what stying is carried into the page.
    > How I do this in a nav bar?
    Change this -
    .nav {
    font: bold normal 14px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-transform: none;
    color: #003300;
    font-weight: bold;
    a.nav:link {
    font: normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-transform: none;
    color: #003300;
    text-decoration: none;
    a.nav:visited {
    font: normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    text-transform: none;
    color: #003300;
    text-decoration: none;
    to this -
    .nav {
    text-align:center;
    .nav a {
    font: bold normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    color: #030;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration:none;
    margin-right:35px;
    and then change this -
    <div align="center"><a href="index.html"
    class="nav">Home</a>       <span
    class="nav">About
    Us</span>      <a
    href="impact_HE.html" class="nav">Impact of HE
    Proposal</a>      <a
    href="purpose_ED.html"
    class="nav">The Purpose of
    ED</a>      <a
    href="procedures.html"
    class="nav">Procedures </a>     <a
    href="what_can_we_do.html" class="nav">What Can We
    Do?</a></div>
    to this -
    <div class="nav"><a
    href="index.html">Home</a><a
    href="about_us.html">About
    Us</a><a href="impact_HE.html">Impact of HE
    Proposal</a><a
    href="purpose_ED.html">The Purpose of ED</a><a
    href="procedures.html">Procedures</a><a
    href="what_can_we_do.html">What Can
    We Do?</a></div>
    But an even better way would be to make the menu an unordered
    list, like
    this -
    <ul>
    <li><a
    href="index.html">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="about_us.html">About
    Us</a></li>
    <li><a href="impact_HE.html">Impact of HE
    Proposal</a></li>
    <li><a href="purpose_ED.html">The Purpose of
    ED</a></li>
    <li><a
    href="procedures.html">Procedures</a></li>
    <li><a href="what_can_we_do.html">What Can We
    Do?</a></li>
    </ul>
    And use this CSS -
    .nav {
    text-align:center;
    .nav ul {
    list-style-type:none;
    margin:0;
    padding:0;
    overflow:hidden;
    .nav li {
    float:left;
    width:150px;
    margin-right:5px;
    border-right:1px solid green;
    .nav a {
    font: bold normal 12px/normal Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    color: #030;
    font-weight: bold;
    text-decoration:none;
    If you want to make the current page look like it doesn't
    have a link, then
    do this -
    <ul>
    <li><a href="index.html"
    id="home">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="about_us.html" id="about">About
    Us</a></li>
    <li><a href="impact_HE.html" id="impact">Impact
    of HE Proposal</a></li>
    <li><a href="purpose_ED.html" id="purpose">The
    Purpose of ED</a></li>
    <li><a href="procedures.html"
    id="procedure">Procedures</a></li>
    <li><a href="what_can_we_do.html" id="what">What
    Can We Do?</a></li>
    </ul>
    and add this to each page (use the proper ID) -
    a#about {
    cursor:default;
    /* any other styles you want to make the current page show

  • Analysis of the Web Page Content

    Could anyone give me some tips on it?3x

    Can you expound on what you need ie what WEB PAGE CONTENT?

  • Using Links to another web page that triggers event

    I was wondering if you are able to have a link (anchor) to another web page that will trigger an event.
    I have a test site www.psweb-test.com and on the home page there is a list of case studies. On another page I have a Jquery accordion menu on www.psweb-test.com/case.html.
    What I want is for the user to select a link of the appropriate case study from the homepage, this to take you to the www.psweb-test.com/case.html page showing the appropriate section from the Jquery accordion section.
    Is this possible as I think the homepage link will need to trigger the appropriate event ?

    It should be possible to carry the desired slice of the accordion to open to the target page in a URL variable.  Had you used a Spry Accordion, or a PVII accordion, I could have told you how to do this. I've not used the jQuery ones, though.

  • Webdynpro call another web page

    Hi experts,
    can my webdynpro call another web page? I need that the webdynpro call a pop-up to another web page and when this page is closed a variable returns to webdynpro to process.
    Is this possible?

    Hi,
    I've found a popup tutorial to webpage and work's fine ... only the first side of my aplicaton.
    I can open a separate web page using:
    wdComponentAPI.getWindowManager().createExternalWindow("http://www.google.de","Google - Search for an email address",true).open();
    in this class, the "createExternalWindow" method have a boolean parameter to indicate if the window is modal or not ....
    I asign this page on a modal=true but I cannot receive from my webdynpro possible events or variables.

  • HAVE ONE WEB PAGE OPEN AND SUDDENLY ANOTHER WEB PAGE OPENS

    I can have one web page open and suddenly another web page will pop up. Why? It doesn't happen all the time. Like I said suddenly.

    Another thing you can try doing is scanning for Malware:
    Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. [http://www.malwarebytes.org/ http://www.malwarebytes.org/]
    Download and Run TDSSKiller [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363 http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208283363]
    Download and Install Microsoft Security Essentials [http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/products/security-essentials] (not an official endorsement, but I personally recommend MSE as an awesome permanent anti-virus)
    Double check for all Windows Updates.
    What is the website that opens up? Is it always the same, always different, one of a few, etc?

  • Help please:  Clicking an image to launch another web page?

    I have some images on a JSC created page. I'd like to give the user the ability to click on the images and have another web page brought up that shows a larger version of the image they clicked on.
    How can this be done?
    I know how to do it using a button that would sit under each image that would then launch another page that holds another image in a larger format, but is there a way to do this without using the button?
    The image does have the onclick JavaScript property, so I suppose that it could be used in some fashion, but I was thinking that maybe there was a way to integrate this with the page navigation built in to JSC (although looking at it I cannot see how).
    So, is it just a JavaScript thing needed (I'll try to look up how on the Internet if so) or is there a built in JSC way?

    Did you have a solution? You quoted my original message but didn't add anything to it.
    Anyway, I'm adding a few Duke Dollars to see if that will elicit some responses.
    Maybe this just cannot be done, and we need a new version (one that works with action events) of the HtmlGraphicImage that Creator provides.

  • Include Apple blog pages "content" in a "Normal" web page

    I am currently reading up about this - but if someone outthere has already done this then please let me know.
    I have an Xserve running 10.4.x and have the blog software active. I want to include the content from one of the blogs into a web page... ideally NOT a frame but i suppose i could do it that way.
    Is there any easy way to include the blog content?

    just about every programming/scripting language has libraries for reading RSS feeds. you could possibly use RSS-2-JavaScript ( http://www.rss-to-javascript.com/p/RSSRDF-Converter_138.html ). plugin your RSS feed url and it will let you customize the output. be sure to use http:// at the beginning of the feed url rather than feed://
    if you are using php, jsp, asp, etc... for your site you do have many more options.
