Include CD Text turned grey-out

Oddity, I burn one cd, it includes CD Text, I'm able to select include cd text, fun stuff. I burn a lightscribe label for the disc [through SureThing, subsequently installed Nero]. Plopped the CD into my PS3, cd text recogonized, much fun.
Burn a second cd. Plopped into PS3, no cd text detected, swapped back to iTunes, and it seems the Include CD Text option on that device is now grayed out. The other burner in the system can still select it.
Have yet to attempt another burn until I dig up a cd-rw to test with. That, and they're burns for protected content, so I hopefully reasonably don't want to be burning through my 7 burn attempts debugging .

Okie, consider me confused now. Tested the 'good' cd with another computer, no cd-text. So I'm guessing, the PS3 picked up the data off CDDB. How that really managed, I'm not too sure though, but hmm.
Dug up a cd-rw, burned on the burner that supposedly can burn cd-text. Itunes doesn't pull auto-info on it, but a cddb/gracenote query in media player pulls up the appropiate album information. PS3 play test, mimics original 'good burn', it appears to pull cd info off cddb.
So I'm left pondering, instead, why one of the albums I bought off iTunes has no album information then I remember, mcchris and suspect that it may not even have a cddb entry now .

Notiifcation Long text not grey out

I have seen the Notification Long text screen grey out once the user saves and log out. When next user enters he wil not b able to chnage the contents entered by previous user.
This is not actually hapening in my case...The screen and info entered doesnt grey out and the user can change it easily with no change documents generated,
Please help me achieve this. I need the field to be grey out once it is enterd and user has loggeds out. System shoud show the log-in user name and time when saved.

Document Setup Primary Text Frame Greyed Out

I need to set Primary Text Frame for my already existing document, but it is greyed out. What is needed for it to work?

You must set Primary Text Frame on a master page. You can't already have content in the text frame.
Try dragging out the frame you want on the Master Page. With the Frame Edges turned on, pause over that frame and you will see the tool tip shown below. Click on it and it will become a Primary Text Frame.
By the way, you can only have one Primary Text Frame on a page.

Text Tools Greyed out Acrobat 9 Pro

I really need to do a quick fix on a PDF document. My text tools are greyed out. There are no security issues on the document. I put "never" in the PDF/A view Mode as per another person suggested when I googled. I can't get anything to work.

I opened the document on my home Mac computer and the text tool worked! My 'newer' home Mac came with Lion. My Mac at work was purchased in May 2008 and it came with Tiger. I had to upgrade it to Leopard and then Snow Leopard, then Lion. I think these upgrades have caused lots of problems. I took my Mac into an Apple Store and they upgraded it to the point for me to purchase Lion, which I did. I have a bunch of Adobe products and have had problems with many of them since upgrading to Lion (Tiger worked great). Bridge gets stuck all the time and I have to force quit it all the time. Can't drag and drop files very easily in Bridge. Photoshop has some problems, and there are other nusances I can't think of right now when I work in InDesign and Illustrator. Just don't know what to do about it. (I am the only Mac user at work.)
I guess the text tools worked because I shut down the computer at the end of the day. I didn't think about rebooting when I had the problems because I am getting use to having so many!
Thanks for trying to help me. If you have hear of any of the other problems I wrote above and can lead me in the right direction, I would be very appreciative.

Include CD text is grayed out on one computer but not other?

I am having a strange issue with Itunes on different computers. I have Itunes on both my home computer and my computer at work. On my work computer which is an HP, when I go to preferences>Advanced>Burning> I can select “include CD text”, and everything works fine. However, on my home computer running the same version of ITunes, that option is grayed out and I can’t select it. I have checked some settings, but can’t seem to figure out why I can’t select it on my home computer. Please Help

Ok, I finally got a chance to burn a CD using the Nero express program. Although it was a two step process; 1. burn songs to CD and 2. save tracks to CD, the song names were recognized by the Sure Thing label program, but not the ITunes program. I brought the CD to work, and put it in the computer and the ITunes program did not find the CD text there either. I would assume that the DVD/CD writer IS capable of writing the CD text to the audio CD since the tracks are recognizable by both the Nero program and the Sure Thing label program. Now to figure out why I can’t select “include CD text” in the ITunes preferences on that computer. Oh, I also looked up the model of the work computer disk drive (HP DVD Writer 640I) that allowes the selection of "include CD text" and the home computer disk drive (HP DVD writer 740I) that has this option grayed out. The specs are almost identical with the possible improvements to the later model 740I. I don't know, weird stuff.

Wifi Turned greyed out

I have a severe problem in my Iphne 4s.. i have updated it but after updating my iphone i have lost all my data and wifi is not making a slide towrds ON. it has been turned into greyed out.kindly give me the solution how can i repair it myself.

Tap Settings App > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. See if better. If still problem, Restore your iPhone with iTunes 10.7 or 11 on computer. See if better. If still problem and if there is Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution.

Edit Functions, including Trim to Selection, Greyed Out

I have Quicktime Pro but despite this the menu items Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete and Trim to Selection, all under Edit, are always greyed out. I have tried setting a selection using In and Out markers and still none of those functions works. All other aspects of Pro do work, however. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

You're doing nothing "wrong".
QuickTime Pro can not edit files that are in MPEG (1 or 2) formats.
You'll need third party software to convert the files. MPEG Streamclip is one for the Mac OS.

Every now and then my SEND button for texts is greyed out and unfunctional

I'll be texting someone just fine then suddenly the SEND button freezes up and doesn't allow me to continue the conversation.

Hey! I get the same problem. I'm so happy I found someone like you, cuz no one at Rogers (my carrier) or Apple knows what's going on. I've recently tried going to "Settings" "Messages" and turning OFF "Show Subject Field". I do not yet know if this will solve our problem which is constantly frustrating, but I saw this in a discussion forum so I've just tried this. When I add ringtones via iTunes, they become inaccessable. Text turns grey, and locks and tones do not even show up on my phone. Using .m4r format just like always...this started when I updated to IOS 5

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again.

'Include CD Text' option is greyed out

When I try to burn a playlist onto a blank CD, the option to include CD text is "greyed out". I noticed this option was disabled after I installed a new internal hard drive earlier this month (Seagate Scorpio Blue Serial ATA). I have the current version of iTunes (10.4.1) and I'm currently running OS X 10.6.8.

Strange, that option is working fine here. Has it worked before on the same computer? Have you installed new drivers, or do you need to? The troubleshooting steps here might help. iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install

Text wrap options are greyed out

Hi,
I am trying to create a "drop cap" by selecting a text box and changing the wrap options in the inspector however, the "object placement" options to wrap the text are greyed out and I can not change them, except for the options below, such as "object causes to wrap" check box and the "text fit" boxes.
Is this a glitch? I have restarted both my program and whole computer, as well as tried it in a new document, and it still is coming up greyed out.
HELP, I have a project due and I need to be able to add in drop caps!

Add hyperlink greyed out

Couldn't add a hyperlink to text box (greyed out) so I moved it to regular text and the add hyperlink is still greyed out.
Finally I closed iBA and reopened it. No change.
I've seen similar posts about links to graphics, and tried selecting the entire text box, but link option stays greyed out.

My own experiments suggest that the central feature affecting the ability to add a bookmark is the outline of the text box that surrounds the text you are trying to make into a bookmark. If it is a ‘dotted text box’ then you will be successful; if it is continuous, you will not.
These ‘dotted text boxes’ appear in any of the ‘add pages’ which already has a text box in it (eg 2 column or 3 column etc). What happens depends on whether you are selecting from the ‘section’ or ‘pages’ folder. Considering the ‘pages’ first.
When added, these pages may appear blank because they don’t contain text until it flows on from the previous page (it will usually link its text boxes with the previous page).
Any text that you add inside the dotted text box, or any that flows over from earlier ones, or any that is there by default can be selected and made into a bookmark: in other words the + in the bookmark inspector will not be grayed out.
However, if you do anything that breaks the link with the previous ‘dotted text box’ (eg by selecting the frame and dragging the blue link end away from the box), then the text box becomes a ‘continuous line’ box and you can no longer create bookmarks within it. In fact any existing ones now connect to the the previously linked ‘dotted’ text boxes.
It is also worth noting that all the text that was created in the now ‘continuous line’ text box may disappear—but if you insert a new ‘text box’ page, the text will appear again (as though it was homeless up to that point because it didn't have a linked text box to display in).
If, say, you have three linked text pages, even if you delete the middle one the links will re-establish themselves between the first and last page and all bookmarks will be maintained.
Now, if you add a page from the ‘section’ folder, (eg copyright, forward, etc) you may well find that there are 2 text boxes. Select each one in turn. If it has a continuous line you can’t add a bookmark to text inside it. If it is has the dotted lines, you can.
Select the dotted line text box (by clicking on a handle) and you will find that a ‘blue link line’ does not enter it on the left (unlike ‘2 column’ pages etc) or leave it on the right. This makes things easier because it avoids the problems associated with the pages from the ‘page section’. You can create bookmarks for any words that you type into this text box.
I hope I have got it right! It is all very confusing and still means that the bookmark feature is not as great as it could be: let’s hope that Apple puts things right with the next update.
