Include Deleted Objects while exporting Namespace in File Transport System

Hi everyone,
What is the use of the option Include Deleted Objects while exporting a namespace using file transport system?
Thanks,
Anu

This is a basic question and should be searched on SDN before posting.
Say, you create a DT in dev and transport it to Test system. In sometime, the requirement changes and now you are supposed to use a WSDL (external def) so no DT / MT will be required and should be deleted. You can delete them in Dev but what will happen to those objects in test - it is not a good practice to delete objects in non-Dev env.
In such situation, you will make these deleted objects part of your transport to test / other env and it will get deleted over there as well.
Hope this answers your query. Make search on SDN / SAP Help for further reading.

  • Deleting Extension while exporting to Pdf or Postscript only hide it

    Hi all,
I need to be able to delete the "ps" or "pdf" extension while exporting to a pdf or postscript file in the printing menu on macosX.
When i try to delete the extension in the saved name, it quote the "hide extension button" and when unquoting the "hide extension" button, the extension re-appears.
How can i change this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Julien.

    Welcome to the forums Julien!
I'd be very curious as to the "need" to do this, but it appears you're 100% correct. It seems you can only rename it after the fact to lose the .ps or .pdf.

What version of Oracle 9i are you using? Do you have a standard 'NLS_LANG' environment variable set on client's machines? Or do you set it to different values on different machines?
Here is one of way you could get around it.
Could you specify the export parameter 'STATISTICS=NONE' while exporting the table data?
    Try this and see.
If this is successful, you could use the import utility as usual. You could always compute or estimate statistics on the table after import.

  • "error: out of disk space message" while exporting Quick time file

Got an "error: out of disk space message" while exporting a 94min hdv project to the quicktime conversion (format:QT mvie, use mose recent settings / Options-dv/dvcpro -ntsc, size-dimensions compressor native) I also tried using compressor to creat a QT movie and got same error message. It gives me an estimate of 4-6 hrs, runs and at the end of 4hrs it gives me the error message. It is a large project, transitions filters 4+vid tracks 9 audio tracks, but Im using a dual4core, 4 gigs of ram.
Is this a ram or hard drive problem. I asume its the disk but cant imagine Im running out of space.
I've tried sending it to the "hard drive bay 1" with 30 free gigs and to the "hard drive bay2" which has 22 gigs open. can't imagine we are making a file bigger than that. I'm thinking about sending it to an external drive with 60 gigs free.
Any help would be great since We have our sound mixer waiting for this as a video reference. Also trying to export OMF files but they are greater than 2 gigs so we're gonna try and split the track up with 4 tracks, 3 tracks & 2 tracks. This has been over a years worth of work and our sound mixing is the last thing to do. Please help us over the hump and I'll thank you on our website, thelaughingplanet and maybe even send you a copy of the movie. Marc

""hard drive bay 1" with 30 free gigs and to the "hard drive bay2" which has 22 gigs"
Sounds like you're getting perilously low on drive space, you should always leave about 15% free on a drive for the OS to do it's thing. Either backup and clear some room, or get another drive.

    Hi all,
We have the SAP ERP 6.0. We started the system measurement on our ECC landscape with the aim to consolidate the results with LAW in Solution Manager. We performed the measurement in our production server and we select System Measurement - Export to Law File and execute, we are having the following error:
Last measurement was not successfully performed (see USMM)
We are having the error despite doing the measurement afresh
Grateful if you could suggest what to do.
    regds

    Hi all
    thanks for all your comments.
We have tested in other system with Basis 14 and it works there. So we are presuming that the error is due to Basis being level 13.
Still, we have informed SAP about the error.
    thanks all.

  • Issue while uploading the PAR file thru system admin- AdministrationConsole

    Hi All,
I have downloaded the PAR file "com.sap.portal.navigation.lightdetailednavigationtree.par.bak" from system admin->support->Portal Runtime ->browse deployment->Web-Inf->deployment->PCD.
after downloaded to the desktop for manual change in one of the JSP file rather than importing into NWDS. I have removed the bak from the file and added the .Zip to the file and i extracted the file.
here inside i got the three folders i.e WEB-INF,PORTAL-INF and file_list. now i went to jsp file called "LightDetailedNavigationTree.JSP" , changed one small property value  in the code from false to true. after that i again zip the folders strcuture make the file name as original in the form of .PAR file. now i am trying to upload it in the portal thru system admin->portal runtime->administration console, but i am getting the deployment error as mentioned in the below.
even though with error, the wrong version of the par file with extension .err was saved in the PCD folder strcture, and original file also still exists. now i wanted to remove the wrong version of the file from PCD, what is the procedure to delete the wrong version, here in administration console i found one button clean , but i could not able to locate the wrong file version , only original right version showing up in the clean dropdown??
Can u tell me what is the procedure to edit the PAR file manually after downloaded to the desktop, rather than going edit thru NWDS??
if we need to upload the PAR file after changes, do we need to delete the original PAR file before we upload the new version of the same PAR or it will be automatically overwrite the original file with the same name??
Still i am getting confusion, please let me know how to edit the PAR file manally and how to upload the PAR file with out any isse while uploading it in the portal thru system admin->administration console??
Any pointers in this regard would be the great help to me??

  • Is possible leave  a object type (MIME Repository) of the transport system?

    Hi,
We'd like use the MIME Repository for storing pictures of our SAP CCM Catalog.
When we import a new MIME object a order is created. It is possible to avoid this. I mean I'd like to know if we can do this.
    - In a prductive system (closed)
    - Configure an object type to leave the transport system
    Any idea about this?
    Thanks for your attention

    Hi
You probably had some wording in the total line such as SUM or TOTAL. When this is exported, Excel is unable to format that column as a number. Try removing all labels from the totals and see if this helps.
    I hope this helps
    Best wishes

not sure if it has relevance, but the SLD level transports will do nothing but create a CIM file which should be downloaded to your deskktop.
    1. Make sure that there are no Pop Up BLocker's acting on the XI server on your machine.
    2. Make sure that you have the download authorizations on your machine.

  • Re-generating deleted object through Co/Data Files

    Hi Folks
I have created a BAPI, say ZBAPI_TEST, in ECC6 System and its associated TR got released.
I have copied the Co/Data files to a local folder and deleted the original Co/Data files from \usr\sap\trans. Later I have removed ZBAPI_TEST and its associated structures.
Then I re-imported the Co/Data friles to \usr\sap\trans\ from my local folder and attached to a new TR (using Include Objects).
But, the object ZBAPI_TEST is not existing now. What could be the problem?
My Q is: since the Co/Data Files must contain the object and its associated structures, ZBAPI_TEST was supposed to exist after re-import.. right?
    Please comment....
    Cheers
    Rajvat

    Aditya
Thanks for your suggestions. Still I have a query related to this. Consider the below scenario......
I have developed a BAPI object in ECC6 System. Released the TR and saved the Co/Data files in my Local system folder.
    Then, I
    * removed the Co/Data File from Application Server
    * deleted the object and its associated structures from the ECC6 system
    * un-released the TR
    * removed all the references of object
    * deleted the TR itself
All that we remain with is the Co/Data Files of the TR. We just know the TR number also.
    NOW,
I want to reproduce my deleted object using the Co/Data Files in my hand.
Is it possible? Is there any technical difficulties in accomplishing this?
    Please comment,
    Rajvat

I am getting an error "Build of project failed" while exporting a PAR file to the project folder and it is showing that "The project was not built due to classpath errors (incomplete or involved in cycle)." I am very new to this technology, so please help me in this.

Check if the required JAR files under /dist/lib or /dist/private/lib are added in the project structure.
