Include QI stock in MRP
Hi there,
Please suggest me where I need to do the configuration so that the material in QI is considered as available in MRP run.......
Is it done in T-code OPJJ... I am not sure because as per my undertanding this check is done during the order creation as release......
Regards
Kaushik
Hi,
When mrp run system always consider QM stock for net requirement calculation.
You don't have option to include or remove the QI stock.
Option available for
1. Stock in transit
2. Blocked stock
3. Restricted use stock.
In OPJJ, this is only useful for availability check. Availability check is different from net req calculation ie, procurement or planning proposal.

Need to include Warehouse stock into MRP
Hi Gurus,
We have an issue to include warehouse stock into MRP.
This is because We have stock in warehouse to cover the demand but the MRP creates line against the VSF.
Please help me to resolve this.
Is there any customizing chnages there for including the warehouse stock.
Thanks in advance.
Naveen.Dear Naveen,
1) Normally we call un-restricted use stock as ware house stock.
2) you can check the same in MMBE
3) this stock is default considered by MRP in Net Req Calculation & Create Procurement Praposals
4) Coming to Block stock, if u want MRP to consider this stock then
5) Then Just Mark as Tick for Blocked stock in OPPQ & save
6) Then Run MRP system Consider block stock also in Net Req Calculation

Mrp requirement qty including safety stock
I have tested and got results as follows with VB/EX:
RO Point = 10 ea
Safety stock = 5 ea
Stock = 5 ea
But the mrp element generated for 5 ea only.
I need to get requirment qty considering the safety stock also.
HOW TO INCLUDE SAFETY STOCK IN REQUIREMENT QTY?
warm regards
mariasHi,
the safety stock is relevant when you are carrying out goods issues.
the system will stop you from placing orders against the safety stock (because you don't want to sell this you want to keep it for emergencies) and yet it will allow you to goods issue to a delivery from safety stock (because that is why it is there, to ensure that you have spare items in case of shortages).
You control what can and can't issue safety stock by using different configurations for the availability checks for each function..
So even though the reorder point MRP seems to ignore safety stock it still warns you when you fall below this (with an exception message) and it is still used for goods issues and transfers etc.

MRP Area - Vendor Stock separate MRP
Dear Experts,
I would like to consult this solution. Currently we have a standard Subcon PO (MM). In this solution, we provide stocks to vendor via 543. Now, business doesnt want the vendor stocks to be included during MRP. How to set up?
Can I use MRP Area (subcon type) with this just like MRP Area for Slocs?
Appreciate your help. Thank you!I reckon the business wants to see all the stock acquired though purchase made in that MRP area. Since they seemed to concerned about planning and may want to ignore the stock ordered manually (you need to confirm this with business). You may have to create SQL query to report this.
In the table EBAN, filter out all the values the field ESTKZ = 'B' and BERID = your MRP area (if BERID is empty you need to input all the storage locations assigned to that MRP area) and the field EBELN, EBELP, BSMNG contain the purchase order data created from the purchase requisition. You need to inner join that to the purchase order table, EKPO and inner join this to table EKBE (there you can find the material document also) and out put the quantity received.

Optional analysis: If you just want to analyze all the stock per MRP area input all the storage locations in MB5B -
Consider subcontracting stock in MRP
Hello experts,
Does anybody know what customizing is necesary for a material to consider the subcontracting stock in MRP??
For that material, in in MRP3 view, I have assigned a checking rule for availavility check that has the flag w/o subcontracting unmarked, but it seems that it is not enought.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks !
LauraDear Laura,
Sub-contracting stock is a special stock and it will not be considered during MRP run.
You can define a MRP area for the sub-contractor and try to run MRP for that area alone.

Automatic reorder point and safety stock caluclation- MRP type:V2
Hi,
I want the system to calculate reorder point and safety stock. To simulate this i created one material with
MRP type:V2, service level as 97%, Forecast model:D,Hist. period:12,Forecast periods:12, and I entered
the historical value for past 12 months as 100 nos in material master.
04.2009 100
03.2009 100
02.2009 100
01.2009 100
12.2008 100
11.2008 100
10.2008 100
09.2008 100
08.2008 100
07.2008 100
06.2008 100
05.2008 100
Then I went to MP30 and executed the forcase. When I checkd the material master the system has calculated the reorder point as 14 nos. But there is no value updated in safety stock field.
Now I have two questions.
1) How the system has arrived the reorder point value as 14 nos.
2) Why there is no safety stock updated in material master.
Could u please clarify this.
Thanks and Regards
PurushothamanHi,
This is further to my preivous mail. I have changed the consumption values and now i am getting the safety stock.
MRP type:V2, service level as 97%, Forecast model:D,Hist. period:12,Forecast periods:12, and I entered
the historical value for past 12 months as.
04.2009 100
03.2009 80
02.2009 110
01.2009 85
12.2008 90
11.2008 95
10.2008 125
09.2008 90
08.2008 90
07.2008 92
06.2008 101
05.2008 100
After executing the forecase the sytem has calculated the below parameter.
Basic value:95.759
MAD:11.448
Safety stock:10.252
Reorder point:23.658.
Can anyone explain me how these calculation arrived.
Thanks and regards

How to check whether stock cover MRP requirements
Hi Everybody,
Could you please tell me how to check whether stock cover MRP requirements?
My user hope to block GR for PO. Because before GR, customer decrease their order qty. However, it is difficult if buyer decrease the PO qty manually. So, they hope SAP can calculate and block GR.
I know we can add the control in user exit of MIGO. However, I dont know how to check the stock whether cover MRP requirements. anybody can tell me what is the standard function? of course, it is okay if you have other solution such as via standard configurations.
Thank you in advanced.
Regards
HenryHello Ravi,
Thank you for your reminder.
We have double confirmed with our client. It is very difficult to using Scheduling Agreements instead of PO. because lots of job have to be changed such as
1. Share our Scheduling Agreements with suppliers on a new system such as Internet.
2. PO release strategy will be put into Scheduling Agreements. I dont know how to to reach this.
Customer may random decrease their order Qty even if they have sent formal order to us. So, we have to block GR for our supplier even if sent PO already. In OEM industry, it is truth already.
Hello BK,
I know in MD04, we can manually list. But, please tell me which function (SE37) can identify. We hope can call the function in user exit of MIGO.

Dear Experts,
We have a change requirement where we want to exclude QI stocks from MRP. That is, exclude QI as available stocks at all areas. There are a lot of existing stocks for a lot of materials already that are in QI. Is there any way we can configure MRP to exclude QI stocks?
Thanks All!Manoj,
The only kind of stocks that can be excluded by config from being considered by MRP are
Stock in Transfer
Blocked stock
Restricted use stock (batches)
You can select/deselect these in OPPI
Unfortunately, none of these automatically have a 1 to 1 link with QI stock. If you performed a transaction to change your QI stocks to one of the above categories, then it could be excluded from MRP. You also could have some additional options if you are using MRP areas, and all the QI stock is in its own MRP area.
Quality stock can also be excluded from ATP processing, in OVZ9. However, this has no impact on MRP.
It is generally considered unwise to exclude QI stock from MRP processing unless you know the parts will be rejected as unsuitable. Any other inspection results will cause MRP to become unstable over time. Consider the following scenario:
Open PO 100, open SO 100. MRP is balanced.
Receive the PO into QI stock. If this stock were made to be unavailable, then you have 0 stock available, and 100 pc open SO. Next MRP run will determine a shortage, and will generate another purchase req. Someone may actually convert the PR to a PO and submit to a vendor.
Now, the Quality dept completes their inspection, and the QI stock is transferred to unrestricted and available. Now we have 100 pcs stock, 100 pcs open PR or PO, and 100 pc rqment for SO. Next MRP run will determine an overcoverage and will suggest cancellation of the PR/PO.

Hi,
Is it possible to consider GR blocked stock in MRP?
Our client requirement that system should consider GR Blocked Stock (Mvmt 103) also in MRP calculation such that GR blocked stock also to be considered as stock available.
Thanks
PrasadHi,
I hope, GR blocked stock will be considered as open PO's since it is non valuated. Kindly check one cycle.

RegardsDear
For MTO scinario , any depedent will be either having Account assingement PR or it will pick up the speciall stock (E) based on the Individaul and Cllective Indicator as 1 in MRP4 view .It will never getting reservaed from un-allocated stock ( i beieve u r talking abou Un-restrited stcok ) .This is a standrad behaviour of the MTO cycle in SAP system .
As you have mentioned , that you are using planning startegy 20 -MTO and also you want depdents (SFG and Compoenets in SFG) to be from un-allocated stock .In that case you should not use Planning strategy 20 and also assing Indviaul and Collective Indicator as 2 or blank .It will be purely MTS and you can have sales order with item categoery TAN .
So please keep Ind/Collective indicator as 2 in MRP4 and try
Hope this helps

could you check the following master data value:
Lot size -> MB Monthly ( only for test)
Rounding value -> null
Strategy 40 MTS.
You can try with this setting in order to figure out what is the problem.
You can check also orizzon planning and re-scheduling (set to 999).
