Included documentation question

I recently purchased an iPad Air 2 and am wondering what documentation is supposed to be included. There is one piece of documentation entirely in Spanish and there is no English counterpart included.
What I received:
Three iPad Air cards - English, French, Spanish
Three iPad info sheets - English, French, Spanish
A booklet entirely in Spanish - no English?
Regulatory compliance document - appears to be only for Mexico.
Apple stickers.

There is not any. The Key Code is embedded in the BIOS. If you install Windows 8.1 from an OEM disk it will self-activate based on the BIOS. If you want to see the Code and have it physically available the current version of Magical Jelly Bean will extract the Key Code from Windows 8.1:

BW Authorization Error documentation Question

Hi,
I have a question, may be you can help in this:
Q: In BW Analyzer if we get the following authorization error for some reason:
->Authorization Check
You do not have authorization for Add or Create
There is a Details tab to see the authorization error details. I need to add documentation for the naming conventions the Users need to use so that it's easy for Users to see what is the reason for the error and what naming convention do they need to use to prevent the error.
Right now, details tab shows "No Documentation Available". How can I add documentation here? Where do I add this documentation and how do I link it to the Authorization Error Message's Details tab?
I tried running RSRTRACE to see which function modules/programs get called but that does not help. It gives me the following two function modules which are being called when I get the error message and when I click the details tab:
RZX0_MESSAGES_GET
RZX0_MESSAGE_H_GET
and surprisingly when I try to look them up in SE37 they do not exist What can be the reason for this?
Is there a system transaction, like .. SM02, in BW where we can define or create authorization error message documentation for BEx Analyzer? How do I link it to the Authorization Error message?

It can be done via SE91.
Message Class is R9 and message number is 108
We have to define the Long Text and save it under the RSZ class.

Documentation question...

Hi all,
While attending a class in Newtown an instructor suggested there is documentation available for SAP authored function modules. So, my question is this...I'm using function module md_mrp_list_api and I'm interested in reading some documentation...where or from who would I request such a thing if it actually existed?

Not all Function modules will have the Documentation.
SAP Generally provides documentation for those function modules which are meant for Generic services.
Function modules which have some Functional significane may or may not have the documentation.
You can check for function module documention in Tcode Se37.

Migration Documentation question

Hi,
We are trying to follow the "How To Migrate from SAP Enterprise Portal 5.0 SP6 to SAP NetWeaver '04" documentation, but have questions and open OSS messages.
Does anyone have a set of documentation and or notes that can be followed to a completion of the migration? Any additional notes that may not be in the documentation or at least clear in the documentation?
Open questions:
1. Question on connectivity to the EP5 system from NW04 for migration; In the above mentioned documentation on page 42 in the section 3.2.8 "Defining and Configuring a System for EP5" number 4, it asks for an EP50 Server Port. Is this the default port 80 or is there a way to determine which port to use for this entry?
2. Page not displayed on service configuration; We have our NW04 SP14 Portal build working with Windows Integrated Authentication and our corporate LDAP for Single Sign On with our network ID's. When we login
to the Portal with our network id, we get "Page cannot be displayed" when navigating to System Administration-> System Configuration-> Service Configuration to add the migration key. If we login as Administrator, we can see the Service Configuration page and drill down
to applications - >UpgraderService.
Why does this page not render with our network id's as our network id's have the same roles as Administrator?
Any thoughts on the above questions and any help with better documentation will be greatly appreciated.

10.1.0.4 upgrade documentation question

Hi:
In the accompanying documentation (section 5.1.7) it says, "If any database uses Java Virtual Machine or Oracle interMedia, then install the Oracle Database 10g Products installation type from the ... Companion CD before installing the 10.1.0.4 patch".
What does that mean? What is the "installation type"? I assume since I already have the interMedia stuff running on a 10.x.x. database I have already loaded whatever I need from the companion CD. Is this saying to do any upgrades from the 10.1.0.4 companion CD section before applying the database patches or what?

Here's what I did. (Windows XP server)
* Installed Oracle 10.1.0.2
* Installed 10.1.0.2. Companion CD
* Installed "10g Products" from the 10.1.0.2 companion CD
* Installed 10.1.0.4 DB patch
* Installed 10.1.0.4 Companion CD patch.
Now I am in the "post processing" phase, trying to do a
STARTUP UPGRADE
but I get an error "SP2-0714: invalid combination of STARTUP options"
Does anyone know what's behind this? Did I need to run the catpatch.sql before installing the companion CD parts of the 10.1.0.4 patch?

Dynamic include file question

I need to use dynamically generated file names in my <%@ include file="" %> directive.
I am using objects (such as database connection) in the files included which I created in my base JSP file. For this reason, I cannot use the jsp:include tag (since these objects are not defined in these files, the servlet doesn't compile).
Are there any ways of using these dynamic names in this directive?

If you are dymically generating the file, then store it in a string and then include it?
String dynamicallyGeneratedFileName = (however you are generating the file name);
<%@ include file="<%=dynamicallyGeneratedFileName%>" %>

Include paths : questions about c++/c headers vs namespaces

I'm having a hard time compiling apps on SunStudio 12 / Linux (amd64).
The compiler keeps complaining of inane things like :
"getVLstats.h", line 15: Error: string is not defined.
Seems to be a namespace clash, and unfortunately I'm not that used to play around namespaces...
In my main c++ file (getVLstats.cc) I have

#include <string>
#include <cstdlib>
#include "getVLstats.h"
using namespace std;
// getVLstats -extractionType file.ldif [file.output]
int main (int argc, char *argv[])
{and so on
In my header file (getVLstats.h) I have :

Somehow I seem to be having some namespace clash, and I don't see how to make sure that all those clashes just go away.

When you compile, it gets included into .cc, but before using directive for std namespace. Anyway, it's a good idea to make include independent of the place it is included so you need to make std::string visible in getVLstats.h somehow.
First, add
#include <string>to getVLstats.h
Then either
- replace string with std::string everywhere or
- add using directive (using namespace std) or
- add using declaration (using std::string) or
- typedef std::string string

Include ss_layout_head_info questions

What is the purpose of this file? It seems to add a bunch of JavaScript to my pages and I'm not sure what they added benefit is. My site was designed to function without the use of JavaScript. If I turn JavaScript off I don't see any degrade in functionality or content.
Also it would seem that the information presented from this file could possibly pose some security risk . . . why provide information about structure, section ids, the system being used if not needed.
I have removed the ss_layout_head_info include and it seems to only automatically be added back in. Is there a way to remove these extraneous JS calls and code from my site and what would the repercussions be?
I'm currently using 10gr4.

I see that while my site wouldn't be using these files or included javascript, it is required for users to enter contribution mode. On our system we have a contribution server, which is the only place contribution should be taking place. I wonder if there is a setting I could turn on (or off) to not automatically include the ss_layout_head_info and then I could place a conditional around it to determine which server the page is being viewed from and then add the include or not. That way it would not be added on the consumption server, where it would never be needed, but could be on the contribution and below servers.

(pic included) Quick question about making a rendered logo

Here is what my artboard looks like. What I'm trying to do is just get the black shapes as one solid logo without the white showing. For example, if I were to place this in another Illustrator project, it would still have the white rectangles with full transperency. I tried a tut online, but when I place the AI file into another project, the WHOLE image is invisible.
If I were to open this AI file in Photoshop, I could use the Magic Wand to delete the white parts and leave just the black shape. I want to be able to resize the black shape and use it on banners, avatars, ect. Any help out there please?!

I don't see unite under pathfinder.
In earlier versions Unite was called Add to shape area. You may need to press Alt/Option to get a simple path (again depending on versions).
Apart from that, there is an Effect>Pathfinder which you should avoid and use the View>Pathfinder palette (bundled with the Transform palette).

On Physical Layer 'Oracle Data Warehouse ' extend 'Catalog' and SELECT 'W_PRODUCT_D' and select (Press CTRL key from ur keyboard) tables ' Dim_W_PROD_CAT_DH_Purchasing , Dim_PROD_CAT_DH_General, Dim_W_PROD_CAT_DH_UNSPEC
Right Click
Select Physical Diagram
Selected Objects Only
Click on 'New Join' and Click on One W_PRODUCT_D Table and second click on 'Dim_W_PROD_CAT_DH_Purchasing'
specify column and do so forth for other tables.
Save and Load RPD.

Using Automator for File Sharing, including 1Password Question

I'm using 1Password (http://agilewebsolutions.com/products/1Password) on three computers at my shop and instead of using three separate library files I just want one main file/directory/database that all three computers can use, share and update.
So far I've accomplished this by using File Sharing.
It's working fine though when I shut off all three computers and restart I have to reconnect all computers (selecting a 'SHARED' computer on the left of an open window menu and clicking on 'Connect As...' on the top right) to reestablish the linked file.
Is there anyway I can set up a macro using Automator to do this when I turn on my computers?

you don't need automator for this. go to finder preferences->general and check the box to show connected servers on the desktop. then just connect to the remote computers and then drag the mounted volumes from the desktop to your login items in system preferences->accounts->login items. then when you log in the remote computers will be automatically mounted. you can also use a cloud storage solution like Mobileme or DropBox and store the password database file in a central online location.
