Including 4:3 material in a 16:9 environment

Hi,
I'm a relative Premiere Elements 9 newbie and I need to combine 4:3 material with content shot in 16:9. The 4:3 content is historical public domain footage downloaded in MPEG-2 format. My 16:9 material is in MPEG-4 format, 720x480.
I've decided to add pillar bars to the 4:3 material, rather than cut off the top and bottom of the original.
How do I do this in PREL 9? Or do I need to modify the original files before importing them? If so, can you advise on tools, including freeware?
Incidentally, I'm creating a video that will be uploaded to YouTube.
Thank you in advance.

You are most welcome. That linked article just begins to scratch the surface of the possibilities. I rather like an abstract background, in lieu of the black bars, and often incorporate that with an animation to allow the viewer a visual "bridge"to it.
Good luck, and let us know what you end up doing.

  • PO report which includes Vendor Material number

    I am looking for a report similar to ME2K but including the Vendor Material Number.  Customer wants to run by Cost Centre and Material group.  However, I cannot find a way to include the Vendor Material number on this report, is there a way to do that thorugh config?
    Thanks for any info.

    Hi,
    You can find the vendor material number in the material data tab of purchase order.
    Goto EKPO table enter the PO numebr and look for the field name with vendor material number. Select that with all other fields . for cost center and account assignment chekc table EKAN.
    Write the program to fetch data from all these tables with feild names.

  • Giving BOM material as free good in Sales Order

    Hi,
    I have a business requirement.
    I want to give a free good in Sales Oreder which is a BOM material.This should be possible by manually changing Item category for the line item in the Sales Order just like how we can change TAN to TANN in normal circumsatnces when we add free good material for any NON BOM material.
    In standard functionality,the item category determined for this BOM material is TAQ but this item category field in Sales Order is non editable because of which I can not include the BOM material as free good in my sales order.
    I have already defined one z Item category for free goods for this BOM material & want to use it in Sales Order.
    Can you please suggest how this can be handled ?
    Or is there any other work around by which will allow me to include BOM material as free good in my Sales Order ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,
    BM

    Hi,
    Thanks everyone for the feedback.I agree with Samir Danish.It is a standard functionality of SAP which does not allow free goods for BOM material.
    However, can someone suggest work around to deal with this issue.I mean if any one has been doing any work around for this issue then please let me know.It s becoming critical for me.

    Best regards,
    Maciej

    It may be a bug, or it may be a result of the dependencies between the materialized views. I don't have a 9.2.0.6 instance that I'm willing to trash to test this, but this is what I get on 9.2.0.1.
    If it is a bug they at least changed the behaviour of the bug in 9.2.0.6.
    I ran your script up to the first commit then did:
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t;
            ID T_NAME     T_DATE
             1 A          29-JUL-05
             2 B          29-JUL-05
             3 A          29-JUL-05
             4 A          29-JUL-05
             5 B          29-JUL-05
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t_mv;
    T_NAME             ID T_DATE      COUNT(*)
    A                   4 29-JUL-05          3
    B                   5 29-JUL-05          2
    SQL> SELECT * FROM v;
            ID       T_ID V_NAME
             1          1 V_A_1
             2          2 V_B_1
             3          3 V_A_2
             4          4 V_A_3
             5          5 V_B_2
    SQL> SELECT * FROM v_mv;
    no rows selectedHUH?? But:
    SQL> SELECT v.rowid rowid1, t_mv.rowid rowid2, v.v_name, v.t_id
      2  FROM v, t_mv
      3  WHERE v.t_id = t_mv.id;
    ROWID1             ROWID2             V_NAME           T_ID
    AAAH4QAAIAAAAl1AAD AAAH4MAAIAAAAlFAAA V_A_3               4
    AAAH4QAAIAAAAl1AAE AAAH4MAAIAAAAlFAAB V_B_2               5So, I tried:
    SQL> EXEC DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH('V_MV');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> SELECT * FROM v_mv;
    no rows selectedNow, this is confusing, so:
    SQL> EXEC DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH('V_MV', 'COMPLETE');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> SELECT * FROM v_mv;
    ROWID1             ROWID2             V_NAME           T_ID
    AAAH4dAAIAAAAl1AAD AAAH4ZAAIAAAAlFAAA V_A_3               4
    AAAH4dAAIAAAAl1AAE AAAH4ZAAIAAAAlFAAB V_B_2               5So at least I've got something in the MV. Now, to continue your test:
    SQL> insert into t (id, t_name, t_date) values (6, 'A', sysdate);
    1 row created.
    SQL> insert into v (id, t_id, v_name) values (6, 6, 'V_B_2');
    1 row created.
    SQL> COMMIT;
    Commit complete.I also expected the error but no joy, and look at this:
    SQL> SELECT * FROM v_mv;
    ROWID1             ROWID2             V_NAME           T_ID
    AAAH4dAAIAAAAl1AAE AAAH4ZAAIAAAAlFAAB V_B_2               5Forcing the refresh on v_mv gets:
    SQL> EXEC DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH('V_MV', 'COMPLETE');
    BEGIN DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH('V_MV', 'COMPLETE'); END;
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-12008: error in materialized view refresh path
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (OPS$ORACLE.V_MV_UK1) violatedVery strange! It gets better:
    SQL> DELETE FROM t WHERE id = 5;
    1 row deleted.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> EXEC DBMS_MVIEW.REFRESH('V_MV', 'COMPLETE');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> select * from v_mv;
    ROWID1             ROWID2             V_NAME           T_ID
    AAAH4dAAIAAAAl1AAF AAAH4ZAAIAAAAlFAAA V_B_2               6 But:
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t_mv;
    T_NAME             ID T_DATE      COUNT(*)
    A                   6 29-JUL-05          4
    B                   5 29-JUL-05          2
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t;
            ID T_NAME     T_DATE
             1 A          29-JUL-05
             2 B          29-JUL-05
             3 A          29-JUL-05
             4 A          29-JUL-05
             6 A          29-JUL-05Obvioulsy, something is not fast refreshing. So lets force it:
    SQL> EXEC DBMS_MVIEW.Refresh('T_MV', 'COMPLETE');
    PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t_mv;
    T_NAME             ID T_DATE      COUNT(*)
    A                   6 29-JUL-05          4
    B                   2 29-JUL-05          1
    SQL> SELECT * FROM v_mv;
    ROWID1             ROWID2             V_NAME           T_ID
    AAAH4dAAIAAAAl1AAB AAAH4qAAIAAAAlEAAB V_B_1               2
    AAAH4dAAIAAAAl1AAF AAAH4qAAIAAAAlEAAA V_B_2               6Which looks right to me.
    Then, I blew everything away and did it allagain up to an including the inserts into t, then I inserted into v and commited. Now, both MV's were correct, so I did:
    SQL> insert into t (id, t_name, t_date) values (6, 'A', sysdate);
    1 row created.
    SQL> insert into v (id, t_id, v_name) values (6, 6, 'V_B_2');
    1 row created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t_mv;
    T_NAME             ID T_DATE      COUNT(*)
    A                   6 29-JUL-05          4
    B                   5 29-JUL-05          2Still strange, so blow it all away again insert into t commit, insert into v commit, then:
    SQL> insert into t (id, t_name, t_date) values (6, 'A', sysdate);
    1 row created.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> insert into v (id, t_id, v_name) values (6, 6, 'V_B_2');
    1 row created.
    SQL> commit;
    commit
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-12008: error in materialized view refresh path
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (OPS$ORACLE.V_MV_UK1) violatedAt least now it sees the error at commit time for v so lets try the delete:
    SQL> delete from t where id = 5;
    1 row deleted.
    SQL> commit;
    Commit complete.
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t_mv;
    T_NAME             ID T_DATE      COUNT(*)
    A                   6 29-JUL-05          4
    B                   5 29-JUL-05          2
    SQL> SELECT * FROM t;
            ID T_NAME     T_DATE
             1 A          29-JUL-05
             2 B          29-JUL-05
             3 A          29-JUL-05
             4 A          29-JUL-05
             6 A          29-JUL-05Still not actually refreshing somehow.
    I may play with this some more, it seems truly strange to me.

  • Data not displayed in Z-table when material code (MATNR) entered in selection screen.

    Hi Experts,
    I have a Z-table for a gatepass report which was already created by another developer. This table has many fields including plant, year, material code field. (MATNR) etc
    Now the problem is in SE11, I run the table to display the entries, when I enter plant and year and execute many entries are displayed.properly including material codes(e.g.50008536).
    But when I execute the same entering plant, year and material code(e.g.50008536) then this message is displayed. " No table entries found for specified key"
    The same thing happens if I am writing a select query in my report to get the data of any particular material code. My internal table is not filled with the data including that particular material code.
    Some more info :
    1. The material code field in the Z-table is assigned the standard material code Data element. i.e. MATNR
    2. Even if I enter '000000000050008536' as input it is still not working. it is automatically changed to '50008536' after executing.
    So please help me where the problem is? I have spent alot of time on this but not able to find the problem..
    Thanks,
    Vishal .

    Hi Vishal,
    Hope I understand  that table content does not starts with zero for material, reply me if i am wrong.
    Use this code before where condition.
    loop at so_matnr.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
       EXPORTING
         INPUT         = so_matnr-low
      IMPORTING
        OUTPUT        = so_matnr-low.
    if so_matnr-high is NOT INITIAL.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_OUTPUT'
       EXPORTING
         INPUT         = so_matnr-high
      IMPORTING
        OUTPUT        = so_matnr-high.
    endif.
    MODIFY  so_matnr.
    endloop.
    if table content is filled with zero use  FM conversion_exit_alpha_input

    Venkat.

  • Material and representative material in PCA

    Hello all,
    I have an issue concerning material numbers in Profit Center Accounting. My aim is to be able to report on material group (attribute on 0MATERIAL) in BW for both plan and actuals.
    In R/3 PCA they plan on field "representative material". Furthermore they post actuals on "material" field.
    Extractor 0EC_PCA_1 brings all postings (plan + actuals) to BW, but does not include the "material" field. It only includes the "representative material" field, so I'm missing the possiblity to see the actuals per material number.
    Extractor 0EC_PCA_3 brings all actual postings to BW and includes the "material number". However the representative field is not filled (since this is only actuals)
    So I get what I need into BW, but in two different extractors (and also on two different aggregation levels).
    I somehow need to merge the information of these two extractors. Is it a multi cube I should use here? Or should I rather try to modify 0EC_PCA_1 by adding the material number in an append structure? I actually tried this, but I still couldn't find the new field in the extractor. So I guess this is not possible here and that I have to go for the multi cube solution?
    I need to get both the "representative material" and the "material" into info object "0MATERIAL" since the material group is an attribute of that. Could this work if I modify the update rules in cube 0PCA_C01 (this is filled with records from 0EC_PCA_1) so that repr. material points at 0MATERIAL (for plan values) and at the same time use cube 0PCA_C03 (this is filled with records from 0EC_PCA_3) which uses 0MATERIAL as standard (for the actuals).
    I'd be extremely thankful for some ideas/help...
    Thanks in advance!
    best regards,
    Fredrik

    Hi Fredrik,
    Some questions:
    Is there a 1 on 1 relation between repr. mat. and material?
    Do you have PCA_1 as Totals or Line Items?
    If you want to report on material group you somewhere have to have a relation between repr. material and mat. group.
    Of course you can always map the rep. into 0MATERIAL, but you MD has to be correct too.
    And: Adding in PCA extractors is difficult!

    Actually you can get Oracle to tell you why the view does not have the capabilities you want using the DBMS_MVIEW package. For example you could have done something like this...

  • Price change for material with Goods Receipt with out Order reference?

    hi all,
    Our client company have some finished products produced from raw materials. But we are not using Production planning module. So in MM we are receiving these products with Goods receipt with out order reference(521).
    The issue is, the price for this product will change monthly. This new price will affect the existing stock as moving average price calculation.
    ex:
                                     Quantity             Price             Value
    Stock balanace        100To                 2.00/To         200
    Newly produced      100To                 2.20/To         220
    after the GRN for newly produced is done. The price also need to change as below.
    Total                         200To                 2.10/To         420
    This is easy if we receive goods with PO price, as moving average price will updae in the master record.
    But here no reference. So only quantity updated with existing price.
    So how to achieve the change of price ? Please help.
    Thanks,
    Aravind

    Hi Bijay,
    Thanks for the reply. I will use the posting method suggested by you.
    but how you are arriving  newly produced material quantity & price!
    The reply for your comment is,
    Every month My client company revise the price of the produced material based on various factors including the
    raw material purchase cost.
    The price will be fixed for the whole month.
    While posting the GRN, the accounts updated are,
    Dr  Material account
    Cr Production Cost
    Please let me know what you have asked is answered or not.
    So that i can brief more. This is my initial project. So your feedback is very helpful to me.
    Thanks,
    Aravind

  • Cost is not a part of PO, but to be added in material, how?

    Dear all,
    Cost which is not a part of PO but to be added in material, how that can be done... is it through statistical condition types, kindly explain how this can be done?
    regards,
    Archu

    Dear Archana,
    Your question is not clear,
    But I think if the cost is like Freight or Duty or any other thing like that, then in pricing procedure you can add a condition type with condition category "Delivery cost" then while doing GR for that PO, automatically system posts that amount to the material i.e. that amount is included in the material.
    For Example,
    Material Price   -  100 Rs,
    Freight              -  10 Rs
    then Upon Goods receipt MAP will be updated with (100+10) i.e. 110 Rs.

    I can't create Materialized view with fast Refresh .
    Kindly provide solution .
    Regards,
    nayana chavda.

    Kindly provide full Oracle version since option vary by release.
    There error message says it is impossible to fast refresh based on a complex query.
    On 10g Oracle provides a package procedure that will tell you why the view cannot be fast refreshed: dbms_mview.explain_mview.
    Otherwise see the Advanced Replication Manual for a list of restrictions.
    10gR2 >>Restrictions for Materialized Views with Subqueries
    The defining query of a materialized view with a subquery is subject to several restrictions to preserve the materialized view's fast refresh capability.
    The following are restrictions for fast refresh materialized views with subqueries:
    Materialized views must be primary key materialized views.
    The master's materialized view log must include certain columns referenced in the subquery. For information about which columns must be included, see "Logging Columns in the Materialized View Log".
    If the subquery is many to many or one to many, join columns that are not part of a primary key must be included in the materialized view log of the master. This restriction does not apply to many to one subqueries.
    The subquery must be a positive subquery. For example, you can use the EXISTS condition, but not the NOT EXISTS condition.
    The subquery must use EXISTS to connect each nested level (IN is not allowed).
    Each table can be in only one EXISTS expression.
    The join expression must use exact match or equality comparisons (that is, equi-joins).
    Each table can be joined only once within the subquery.
    A primary key must exist for each table at each nested level.
    Each nested level can only reference the table in the level above it.
    Subqueries can include AND conditions, but each OR condition can only reference columns contained within one row. Multiple OR conditions within a subquery can be connected with an AND condition.
    All tables referenced in a subquery must reside in the same master site or master materialized view site.

  • Capture u201CInstallation Chargesu201D of a material sold in Sales Order

    Hi SD Gurus,
    We have requirement to capture u201CInstallation Chargesu201D of a material sold in Sales Order. The charges are quantity based and shall be shown separately in sale order & invoice. This charge shall be treated as additional revenue (with separate revenue G/L Account) and shall be maintained as optional. If included as a condition type, we do not want the item totals of the materials to be affected by this condition.
    In the existing pricing procedure, the material price field is made mandatory. We tried to enter it as a service line item and entered the u201CInstallation Chargesu201D with a new condition type with new revenue G/L Account. But it insists for a price for the material due the mentioned configuration.
    Request your valuable suggestion in achieving this requirement.
    Regards,
    Vikrant

    Hi,
    You can achieve this functionality using the Bill of Material concept.
    Create the material and its BOM. In the BOM, include the main material and the service. (Case A)
    Also maintain an alternative BOM for the same material, the BOM being the material itself and nothing else. (CaseB)
    Make the parent item relevant for pricing and child items not relevant for pricing
    In sales order, give the main material, so the sales material and service will come.
    In Case A, maintain a condition type with a reqmt routine saying that the condition will be valid only if the BOM contains the service item. Maintain the condition record. So, if the BOM contains the material and its service, this condition type will come else it will not come.
    If you don't want to charge the service, replace the BOM of case A with the alternative BOM maintained for the material to go to case B.In case B, this extra condition type will not come. Hence only the price of the main material will come.
    Hope this helps u
