Including a particular stylesheet in uix

I have 3 style sheets (.xss) files.
For different modules, there is a requirement to use different .xss files.
One is already present as default in the uix-config.xml <style-sheet-name> tag.
What is the tag I need to include in the uix pages to include the particular/the other .xss file ?

The content of the remote stylesheet can change at any time. The problem is that the Oracle XSLT caching mecanism does not "see" this, so we get the old page..
How can we turn the caching off? Is it possible to turn caching off for selected stylesheets?
Any clues or pointers?

Frieght charges include for particular customer

Hi,
How to include frieght charges for the particular customers towards freight charges recovered from them. Credit into Freight Charges received (GL account No: 310010 ).
Frieght amount should shown in invoice also.
How to do that above issue.

1) Create a condition type in V/06 as a header condition and assign the same in your pricing procedure.
2) Assign an appropriate Account Key against this condition type.
3) Maintain the said G/L account in VKOA
4) Finally when you generate billing go to header condition tab and key in this condition tab and click "Activate" button at the bottom right. Maintain the required freight value and save.

maintain condition type kf00 for fright in your pricing procedure as a manual condition and maintain condition record for combition customer in vk11 or give in sales order manually.
g/l account part u need to maintain separate g/l account for fright in vkoa transaction.

Can I Include an xml-stylesheet Link in a Java Web-Service?

The ability to easily create a SOAP-based web-service from a Java class using JDev's built in "Java Web Service" wizard is great.
From an "Ajax enablement" perspective, I see tremendous value in having the ability to specify an XSL url in the call to that web-service, so that the server will insert an <?xml-stylesheet .../> link to the specified URL prior to the SOAP message that it returns. That way, different callers to the web-service could render the same SOAP response differently (via an XSL transformation performed on the client-side via the XSL they've specified).
Is there already an undocumented way to do this with an Oracle "Java Web Service" that I am not aware of? If not, adding that capability would be trivial for Oracle, and it would add tremendous value to developers using Oracle's "Java Web Service" capability.

I take it you are using the RESTful API method to GET the data. In that case you shoul be able to perform a http POST from your js code in order to update the controls.
This could be done as form components are updated, or after a submit button is pressed (I'm sure you are familiar with this part).

Can't include a particular recipient in text.

I purchased my first iPhone (4-8gb) 2 days ago and have encounted a strange issue - at least I think it's strange.
I can send a text to multiple recipients with no problems as long as my second son is NOT included, if I include him the message fails. I can send a text to him alone with no problems.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can "fix" this?

ok - I give up, now I can't even see my last two replies to this post. I guess I'll just have to wait until Monday and return to my local Verizon store and see if they can help. I purchased the phone at theBoca Park Verizon store in Las Vegas and my sales rep was Sandy - she was absolutely terrific, no kidding, she was helpful, knowledgable and patient.
I did try deleting the offending contact and re-entering with just the phone number - group message failed.
tried deleting the offending contact again and sent a group text by selecting two "good" contacts from my contact list and typing in the phone number of the offending contact directly into the "To" field with the same result - group message failed.
I am so very disappointed as this is an important feature for me.

Finding all photos that include a particular person whether their face appears or not

Faces is a great way to locate all photos where someone's face appears. But what about photos that the person is in, but their face is not (e.g., the photo was taken from behind the person)? What's the best way to tag photos so that I'll be able to have all photos that contain Person X together, whether their face is in the photo or not? (Note: I know I could use Faces to add a face to the back of someone's head - that would get that picture to appear in Faces for that person, but would likely mess up the face recognition for that person).
My current thought is to use keywords to tag those photos with the names of people who appear in photos without their face showing. I could then create a Smart Album that includes all photos that contain a Face or Keyword for Person X. Is there a better way to accomplish this?

(Note: I know I could use Faces to add a face to the back of someone's head - that would get that picture to appear in Faces for that person, but would likely mess up the face recognition for that person).
That will not mess up the face recognition. iPhoto will only use the faces that have been automatically found by iPhoto to learn the parameters for the recognition of the person. So you can include any part of the person to get the photot in the Faces stack on the cork board.

Filtering-find tasks that include a particular resource in subtasks? MicrosoftProject 2010

I'm actualy working on a project on MicrosoftProject 2010. I met a problem when I would use the filter. I will try to explain:
My project is built as below:
Task A
sub task A/resource Bert
sub task A/resource ERNIE
sub task A/resource Ralph
Task B
sub Task B/resources ERNIE
Sub task B/resource Ralph
Task C
Sub Task C/resource Bert
Sub Task C/resource Ralph
I want to present to Ernie all the projects he's involved in, showing all the sub tasks. In this case it would be Task A and all three sub tasks, and Task B and both sub tasks. Task C and its sub tasks would be filtered out since Ernie is not involved at all.
I tried all the options that I am able to do so I really need an help . I would precise that I've a lot of tasks and sub tasks in the project and it would be unthinkable to do by hand each time I've to present the project to one of my coworker.
Somebody advise me to use Excel to filter but I would like to keep the Project presentation and all the link of the planification. Therefore they propose to use a code in Microsoft Project.
Unfortunately I've some difficulties for coding but I can understand it. It just lack me the framework and i'll try the rest. It's for why I post on this forum. Does somebody can help me?

Xmltype.transform() with stylesheet that includes another stylesheet

I' trying to use xmltype.transform() with a stylesheet that includes/imports another stylesheet. But this results in a 'ORA-03113: End of communication channel'. Is xsl:include or xsl:import supported?
This is the first stylesheet:

Did you look in the database alert log or in the database log area to see if any trace file was generated by your error? The listener.log may have more information too.
Also, you can trace your session to see what is happening.

Include XSQL page into UIX page

Hello,
I am trying to build a page in UIX and then include an XSQL page into the <contents> region of the <pagelayout>.
Does anyone know if this is possible? And if yes, if this should work agains OC4J and/or Apache/Jserv?
I tried including the page using <uix:include node="pagename" /> but
the uix engine assumes that the node has an .uix extension so this does not work (or even compile). Using the xsql namespace, I also tried <uix:include xsql:node"pagename" /> which does compile, but does not generate any output.
Any ideas?

First of all, why are you trying to do this? Is it for data binding with BC4J view objects? ?If so, then you might want to know that UIX already has native data binding support for BC4J.
Having said that, I am not sure if you can combine XSQL and UIX tags. I shall verify this and let you know.

Stylesheets with CSS classes included in springboard possible?

Hey there.
Is there a way to include a CSS stylesheet in my custom made springboard?
I can include them in features but don't know how to import external files to the custom springboard (amx page)..

Hi, Pascal, actually let me add to this thread so everyone can see this.
Yes you can leverage CSS in custom springboard and custom login screen. If these are HTML based, you would just simply include the CSS with your HTML page. If these are AMX based, you would need to follow the SkinningDemo to either extend or add new style classes. Look in the ApplicationController project - Application Sources - META-INF - adfmf-skins.xml file. This contains references to additional CSS classes that can be used in the entire app. Since springboard and login page are application level artifacts, these CSS/skinning files will need to be added in the App Controller project per the sample.
Quick explanation of the adfmf-skins.xml file since I was not clear in this morning's call. You can either modify the existing CSS classes shipped with the framework, or add new CSS classes to the framework. To modify (or extend) - for example, to change the header facet's outputText color to red, you would first add this to the skins.xml file

Then in your mycss.css file, you would have:

Changed Configuration paths with ConfigurationImpl for UIX CSS

I want to change the default stylesheets for UIX components. therefore I read chapter 7 Customization and then chapter 10 Configuration of the help to JDeveloper (v. 9.0.2). I found out, that if I want to use my style sheets, I have to write a XSS file, what I did, and then include that to my application - somehow. I will not change the blaff.xss file, therefore I chose the way to instatiate a new ConfigurationImpl, change the path for the styles directory - as mentioned in chap. 10 - and registered it and... nothing. then I wanted to do following :
RenderingContext.setConfiguration(config); but that is not working, because the method setConfiguration() is not available.

You have to wait to call RenderingContext.setConfiguration() when you're about to render.
If you're using UIX XML, what you'll do is subclass UIXPageBroker and override
protected Configuration getConfiguration(
BajaContext context,
Page page)then tell UIX to use your page broker instead of UIXPageBroker.
If you're using UIX JSPs, wrap your page in a <uix:renderingContext> tag with the "id"
attribute set, then:

<% rc.setConfiguration("myConfig"); %>
... rest of UIX content for your page in here ...
</uix:renderingContext>Note that you can set the configuration by name, rather than needing to refer
to the object directly.
9.0.3 will make this process simpler. Stay tuned.

UIX xss

I want to include custom styles in my UIX pages. I already read the documentation regarding on how to make the stylesheets, and the blaf.xss file. My problem is how can I manipulate this file. Do I have to make a test.xss file, import the blaf.xss and add my own custom styles or what. Hope you can help me

I'm simply following the UIX Customization chapter, forum threads and info I've found on the web, but I cannot get any custom style to render; nor am I able to override blaf.xss styles using my own stylesheet.
uix-config.xml I assume is being read by the application because if I take out the namespacing 'portal.dynamex.com' etc. all pages within the app throw a NullPointerException. (I've used the oracle.com/config ns too, same result)
If I alter blaf.xss directly and change the "DefaultFont" style, I do see the change in all pages. If I add "myStyle" style to blaf.xss OR to dxnetStyles.xss, then use <styledText styleClass="myStyle" text="test" /> I get nothing... neither style sheet seems to care I've added my own style.
uix-config.xml is in <app>/htdocs/WEB-INF directory, dxnetStyles.xss is in the same directory as blaf.xss. blaf.xss is being imported by dxnetStyles.xss and as a test I'm simply trying to override "TextForeground" style... to no avail.
I've stopped and started the OC4J instance thinking it was a cache issue, I've deleted the /cache files.
I cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong and any thoughts would be helpful.

Why is it not possible to write a UIX (or ADF) portlet for 9iAS?

I have been trying for months to create a UIX/BC4J portlet for 9iAS but have been unsuccessful. The documentation and examples cover doing this with JSPs (there is a nice Forum application available for download on portalstudio). However all of my attempts to use UIX have hit a brick wall - we want to use UIX, not JSP!
I have raised a TAR on Metalink and it has been going back and forth for several months. The support analyst has finally closed it in frustration because he cannot even tell me whether it is possible, let alone give me an example! I have investigated the JPDK and all of the UIX documentation I can get hold of, and have also looked at the ADF components in 10g, and the "Java Portlet Wizard" for Jdeveloper, but they are so far all dead ends. Can anyone help me, or explain why it is that a (to me anyway) SIMPLE and LOGICAL integration of two Oracle frameworks is impossible.

Yes, this is exactly the issue. Currently I am
invoking the UIX servlet not as a registered portlet
but as a hard-coded URL link on the portal page.Are you saying that in order to access the UIX application, the user clicks on a link which navigates out of Portal? If so, is this by design, or did you go this route because of problems creating a portlet for your UIX servlet? That is, would you prefer to have your UIX application run inside of Portal as a portlet, or do you explicitly not want this?
Also, can you provide more background about your deployment environment? In particular, is the UIX application running locally on the same machine as Portal, or remotely on another machine? Is the UIX application running in the same application server/servlet engine as Portal?
The application runs connected to the database but
without the context of the SSO Portal user. I want to
be able to display the Portal username on the uix
pages, have the VPD context in the database
connection (we have striped the tables but it only
works if connected via Portal!!) and potentially have
access to some of the extended Portal functionality
in the JPDK (this last one a "nice to have").Unfortunately I have no idea whether this is possible, so I'm not going to be much help on my own. The best I can do is try to track down someone who can actually speak to this issue. However, given the lack of documentation and the fact that you weren't able to get a solution through support, I wouldn't be suprised to find that this type of integration simply isn't supported yet.
I think you mentioned in the TAR that you had seen support for similar integration with Struts. If you know of documentation which shows how to do this type of thing with Struts, could you point me at it?
