Incoming call 400 Bad request

Hello,
I have setup a test deployment of Lync server 2013 with collocated mediation server, which is working fine now. I am now trying to test with different SIP trunk providers. Two of them are working fine now, after some finetuning at the provider. The third
and the most interesting provider for me, is not working properly:
They are providing two trunk hostnames: sw1.sip.domain.com and sw2.sip.domain.com. I have filled both in at the topology. The result is that outgoing calls are working fine but incoming calls result in a 400 Bad Request. Lync Logger states
"The host portion of the from header, sip.domain.com, arriving at MS listening port (5060) did not match any next hop peers' FQDN or IP Address".
I have examined the INVITES with wireshark for all three providers and have found the following difference with the working providers:
The CONTACT header does not match the same hostname/IP as the hostname in the FROM header (incoming call)
Is it mandatory to be the same as the hostname in the FROM header? What else could be the cause of the error?

Hi,
1.  You must use a Microsoft certified service provider to ensure that your ITSP supports all of the functionality that traverses the SIP trunk
Check if the issued ITSP is certified by Microsoft:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dn788947
2.  Please double check the settings on Lync Topology and make sure all Mediation configuration match Topology.
3.  Check if CMS replicate status to be latest.

  • Http error 400 - bad request when calling external webservice

    I have a problem connecting OSB to webservices exposed by Lotus Domino Server.
    When I test the services with XMLSpy, it works fine. I started a project in OSB, and imported WSDL files from the server url. So far it worked. I built the corresponding Business services. When I tried to test these business services, i got error 400 from the domino server.
    Does anyone have an idea to fix this problem?

    Yes, the problem should be in the request, but in the test console the request document looked fine.
    I tried the following:
    I tested the service with XMLSpy. I took the soap envelope generated, and pasted it into the business service test console. Then the payload should be the same in both cases, but it does not work.

    Hello, did you edit the logs before posting it here? if not, then we are missing the fields in the incoming INVITE message from PBX.
    No phone numbers in the Invite header and From & To fields are also missing.
    Please check with the PBX.

  • HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request error in receiver REST channel

    Hi Experts
    I am currently working on an interface in which we have created a REST communication channel on the receiver side.
    The below error comes up in the PI when we try to perform the GET operation on the URLs given below:
    Error Message: HTTP error occurred: HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request
    URLs -
    i) https://<myHost>:<myPort>/businesses/search?Keyword=Viridor&ResultsPerPage=10
    ii) https://<myHost>:<myPort>/businesses/ec92a1e9-cef0-48aa-8800-a2e500ce8b1c/sites?Keyword=Viridor&ResultsPerPage=10
    When we use SOAP UI to perform the above test, it works perfectly fine and fetches the required response from the target REST server.
    Also, when we use the URL - https://<myHost>:<myPort>/businesses in the receiver communication channel in PI, it works fine and retrieves the
    values of all the businesses present on the target server, however on making URL more specific - like the two URLs above, it does not work
    and gives the bad request message.
    Please can you let me know what could be the issue.
    Thanks,
    Maheswarareddy

    Hi All,
    Issue resolved:) ...that due to When calling a URL in the REST Receiver Channel, all GET variables are ignored
    so we had to upgrade SP10 patch level 5 and all services are working as we expected.
    Also pls check Note :2114322
    Thanks,
    Maheswarareddy

    Is this error just for this message, or all messages?
    Is the xml valid against the payload. You will need to use a tool like XML spy to check.
    Are you able to see the response coming back, if so does it conform to the response schema.

    Hello,
    Your message contains a an HTTP 404 error so the URL that you are trying to access is not valid.
    Can you check from a browser what is the response when you call the endpoint?
    http://server:port/wedanyservices-WedanyServicesPro-context-root/MyWebService2
    I believe that you do not have a service deployed at this URL this is why you have such response, and you cannot send another response.

  • SIP 400 Bad Request

    I'm getting a bad request error when attempting to an outbound SIP call on a IP2IP gateway (H323 -> SIP).

    Any ideas?

    For what its worth, I had the same problem from Callmanager to an IOS IPIPGW. I was getting the SIP/2.0 400 Bad Request - 'Malformed/Missing Contact field' error message. Turns out I had mistyped my caller id mask and was sending characters in place of numbers. By correcting it, my problem went away.

  • HTTP 400 Bad Request

    Hello All,
    I'm up against a show stopper. I have a simple region (lets call it the "Quote Region") of type SQL Query that returns rows from a table which I will need tp update. Occasionally the query will return a large number of rows, depending on the size of the customer's quote. My problem is when the quote is large (somewhere around 200 rows) and I perform an update I get HTTP 400 Bad Request "the webpage cannot be found", the URL says something about 7779/pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept.
    The update is simple, it takes values that a user enters in another region and does a mass update to the lines in the Quote Region. The lines in the Quote region that are updated are determined by the user selecting them in a shuttle with the shuttle returning the line_id. For small quotes and even quotes with up to 195 lines everything works fine but I need this to work for large quotes! Does anyone know what's going on here???
    I'm on version 3.1.2.00.02
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bi

    When submitting a page there is some limit about the page size (I think 32K) after that it throws HTTP 400. We were also facing the same problem in our large tabular form. You can use Pagination to limit the rows displayed in a page to avoid this error.
    But when using pagination you will face another issue. Let's say you have 100 rows and pagination is displaying only 10 rows. If you update some rows and press navigation button (Next/Previous) the changes you have made are lost and not saved. I also have a workaround for this if you are interested please let me know. I will post you if you need it.

  • Error: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 400 Bad Request

    Hi Gurus,
    i am hardly fighting with this error in Communication Channel Monitoring:
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 400 Bad Request
    SOAP: call failed: java.io.IOException: invalid content type for SOAP: TEXT/HTML; HTTP 400 Bad Request
    This is my scenario.
    I do a File to SOAP Scenario. in SXI_MONITOR everything is fine.
    My CommChan is a SOAP Receiver
    HTTP
    SOAP 1.1
    Central Adapter Engine
    Target URL is https --> i check url for correctness
    Configure User Authentication is checked and username and pw are given and are correct.
    Configure Certificate Authentication is checked are working
    Configure Proxy is checked and Host and port are povided.
    SOAP Action is provided
    In Tab Module
    if have this Processing Sequence
    1     localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean     Local Enterprise Bean     transform
    2     sap.com/com.sap.aii.af.soapadapter/XISOAPAdapterBean     Local Enterprise Bean     1
    and this Module configuration (and only this)
    transform     Transform.ContentType     text/xml;charset=utf-8
    (according to /people/sobhithalaxmi.kata/blog/2009/07/21/cost-free-edi-integration-using-message-transformation-bean)
    As far as i understand that my http header should have Content-Type: text/xml;charset=utf-8 now. I don't understand why Communication Channel Monitoring shows an error according to content TEXT/HTML.
    Can anyone help me with that?
    Is it possible that Transform.ContentType does not work for SOAP Receiver Adapter?
    is there any chance to view the HTTP-Header of the outgoing SOAP Request (with PI Transaction / Java Enironment) to convince myself that the HTTP Header is text/xml?
    Thank you in advance and Best Regards
    Udo

    Hi Thanks for your fast replies.
    The Provider of the Endpoint tells me that he needs text/xml as content-type. When I sent a message to the given Endpoint via SOAP UI I can see in the HTTP LOG of SOAP UI that the Endpoint is also sending text/xml back.
    Below you find the Details log out of the CommChan Monitoring.

    2011-04-29 11:37:46 Error The message status was set to NDLV.
    What i am missing is a hint on the Message Transform Bean and a on a successfull sending process.
    What i also tried already:
    i also activated the checkbox "Do not use SOAP Envelop" in CommChan Configuration. The Result you see below (the last log entry is on first line - so read from bottom to top)
    Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad Request
    error in response
    call completed
    request entering
    Message processing started
    As you can see there is a "call completed" and "error in response" log entry. This is missing in in the first Log. So i guess the error is still in the sending process.
    Installing additional Software on the PI and use them to find out what the HTTP Request is is not possible as system access is very strict and limited :/

  • 400: Bad Request

    I am trying to get an inputStream to another servlet from a servlet. I am using standard well documented techniques for opening the connection. The getInputStream() call throws an exception as below:
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: Response: '400: Bad Request' for url: 'http://localhost:7001/shoppingCart/SOAPServlet'
    at weblogic.net.http.HttpURLConnection.getInputStream(HttpURLConnection.java:367)

    at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl.execute(ServletRequestImpl.java:2204)
    at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:139)
    Here is the code snippet:
    String payload = "THE PAYLOAD WILL BE HERE";
    URL url = new URL("http://Localhost:7001/shoppingCart/SOAPServlet");
    HttpURLConnection conn = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
    conn.setRequestProperty("SOAPMethodName","http://www.nicholaschase.com/soap/#InventorySold");
    conn.setDoOutput(true);
    conn.setRequestMethod("POST");
    conn.setDoInput(true);
    conn.connect();
    OutputStream toSOAP = conn.getOutputStream();
    toSOAP.write(payload.getBytes());
    toSOAP.close();
    InputStream fromSOAP = conn.getInputStream();
    The last line throws the exception. The servlet is a part of the web application and I am able to access the servlet if a type the URL in the browser window. The web.xml which deploys the servlet is as below:
    <servlet>
    <servlet-name>SOAPServlet</servlet-name>
    <display-name>SOAPServlet</display-name>
    <servlet-class>SOAPServlet</servlet-class>
    <description>Sends SOAP Information back</description>

    </servlet>
    <servlet-mapping>
    <servlet-name>SOAPServlet</servlet-name>
    <url-pattern>/SOAPServlet/*</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>
    Could anybody let me know why the above exception will occur

    This was posted back in 2002, but can someone tell me the solution for it. I am up against the wall with a very familier situation.
    Thanks

  • Rest API v1 Getting Error 400 bad Request

    Hi,
    we have a very strange problem. We are using a custom JAVA WebDynpro UI for doing our approval workflows, and are making an upgrade from NW Version 7.0 to 7.31 (finally ). We have upgraded the DEV System without any troubles everything works fine with NW 7.31.
    In the PROD IDM we have this scenario:
    We have a Sandbox NW UI that was now upgraded to 7.31 and the PROD UI which still runs on 7.0. Both UIs have the PROD IDM DB linked.
    There are several approval steps with a custom Request Object in our workflows.
    Some approval steps work without any problems with the 7.31 UI, but in some steps we geht the Error 400 bad request from the REST Interface.
    When I approve the same approval with the 7.0 UI it works fine. We also debugged the REST Call, which is sent to the rest service and can't find any differences, it looks like this:
    http://<hostsbx>/idmrest/v72alpha/approvals/1568881/entries/545283/tasks/101870?APPROVED=TRUE which does not work
    and
    http://<hostprd>/idmrest/v72alpha/approvals/1568881/entries/545283/tasks/101870?APPROVED=TRUE which does work
    There are other tasks which work with both UIs.
    What else could we check?
    BR,
    Andreas

    Hi,
    thanks we also made the changes described in the note, which works on DEV fine.
    It is strange that one approval task works and the other not, so I think the problem might not be in the NW Configuration?
    BR,
    Andreas

  • ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad request

    Hi Folks ,
    Error : "com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 400 Bad request"
    Scenario : Webservice --> XI (ccBPM) -->SAP  (By verfying the response from SAP and if the data holds any error it will sends mail to SAP & webservice Admin thru mail Adapter)
    1. Webservice will send the update Message to ccBPM asynchronously via XML Gateway
    2. ccBPM will call RFC on SAP R/3   synchronously.

  • 400   Bad Request - Invalid path /b2c/secure was requested

    Hi,
    I have two jsp pages. first page is included as a link in one of the inc.jsp in B2C application.
    This page has few input fields and upon submit button. I get error message
    400 Bad Request - Invalid path /b2c/secure was requested
    the action tag written in config.xml is like:
    <action path="/b2c/xyz" type="package_name.xyz">
              <forward name="success" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
              <forward name="failure" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
              </action>
    in web.xml:
    <servlet>
            <servlet-name>Page1.jsp</servlet-name>
            <jsp-file>/b2c/Page1.jsp</jsp-file>
            </servlet>
        <servlet>
            <servlet-name>Page2.jsp</servlet-name>
            <jsp-file>/b2c/Page2.jsp</jsp-file>
        </servlet>
    Please let me know if you could help me with the needful. Appreciate your earliest response.

    Hi Bharathi,
    If you are embedding a link in jsp where you are directly calling another jsp, its always better to code it like this
    <a href="<isa:webappsURL name="/b2c/Page1.jsp"/>" target="_new">
    There is no need to make any changes in web.xml file.
    If in your inc.jsp you want to call an action class on click on a link than call a javascript method onclick on that link
    test() is a javascript method where you will call your action class like
    function test() {
           isaTop().parent.location.href="<isa:webappsURL name='/b2c/xyz1.do'/>";
    Changes in config.xml should be like
    <action path="/b2c/xyz1" type="package_name.xyz">
              <forward name="success" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
              <forward name="failure" path="/b2c/Page2.jsp"/>
    </action>
    Make use of "<isa:webappsURL name='/test/test.jsp'/>" and it will work. Hope this helps you.

    Thanks.
    Kindly take note that the "Comment" field is not mandatory, so there is no need to bounce all 200 threads to the top again.
    You can leave threads unanswered when you still hope or suspect that an answer might be searched be someone, but if it is a "dead duck" (like many cross-posted threads are - which often cause this problem) then please close them.
    People who neglect following up on their threads, often neglect thanking those who put in an effort to help with helpfull answers. But many people notice this and stop answering. That does not apply in your case in posts since about July this year, so if you clean up then I am sure that you will further benefit from it.
    Please take this in a positive way. Personally I enjoy reading some of your questions and learn from them as well.
    Cheers,
    Julius
