Incoming calls coming as +7 instead of 07 or +447

Hi guys, any idea about solving an issue with my incoming notifications for calls, as every time someone gives me a call from the UK the are code appears to show as +7 (4475) XX-XX-X format instead of 074475XXXXX.. It looks like the area code is not recognized by the phone. I have reset, restored, tried different settings as location, region and dial assistance but nothing helps at all. My contract is with T Mobile and they could not help me at all with this problem, I bought a new sim card which was replaced by T Mobile but that did not help at all too. Went to Apple Genious Bar but they advised me that the sim card was the problem, nothing from the phone itself.
When I get text messages, they are all displayed fine.
Any ideas please...???

Hi Karthik,
Sorry for the delay, my email notifications aren't working for some reason.
The DSCP for RTP (and SIP for that matter) traffic on the ingress to the CUBE is definitely correct. I've verified this by putting an inbound policy-map on the ingress interface that just matches DSCP markings and can see counters for AF31 (SIP), CS4 (Video RTP) and EF (Voice RTP) incrementing. What I see on the egress interface using the same policy map (but outbound) is that only AF31 and EF leave the router.
The CUBE is doing media flow-thru so is proxying both SIP and RTP traffic based on the dial-peers. I can only imagine that when IOS reconstructs the IP headers for the proxied traffic it is not differentiating between RTP voice and RTP video as the configuration suggests it should.
Telepresence multiplexes voice and video streams so that you get one RTP stream with (potentially) multiple voice sessions and one RTP stream with (potentially) multiple video sessions. Perhaps this somewhat non-standard behaviour has something to do with what I'm observing?
The only other thought I've had is that perhaps the QoS markings applied to the newly crafted packet are selected based on the in-bound dial-peer, which perhaps I am not matching correctly. However if that was the case I ought to be seeing AF41 traffic leaving the CUBE as that is the default marking for video.
This one has me stumped! I have another platform that is in pre-production testing to replace the CUBE in question, I will see if it is demonstrating the same behaviour in the coming days.

  • Some incoming calls coming in as unknown.

Since I have received  my iPhone 6 on September 19 certain numbers that are saved in my contact list are incoming as unknown. It is very odd that only a handful of them are coming through & some are not. The numbers happen to be all of my company lines. I have them all saved under the same "contact" name. There are also a few other numbers that I do not have saved in my contacts that used to show up as a phone number on the caller id but now are "Unknown."
I have tired to reset the phone, the network settings & reset all settings. I have reset the "cloud" only to have the same issues.

If the caller has chosen to block his caller ID, your iPhone will not be receiving the information
necessary to bring up their contact ID. For your company, suggest you speak to IT or
whoever controls the phone service - they may or may not wish to change the setting.
Ask the other callers who now show as unknown if they have changed any settings on
their account. There basically is nothing you can do if a caller chooses to hide their
Caller ID. Some wireless providers offer a service whereby such calls are refused with
a message to the caller that the call will not go through with hidden ID. There may be
a charge for such service if offered.

  • CME - Delay in connecting incoming calls

    Hello,
For most incoming calls coming in on FXO lines we are noticing that there is a 8-10 seconds delay before the audio is established.  Call comes in, IP phone rings, then there is 8-10 second delay before either party can hear anything.  GW was rebooted and there has been no recent changes.

Thanks for your reply Yosh, we do have caller-id enabled it is a service we have enabled with telco.  However the phone rings correctly, once the handset is picked up, there is a 8-10 second delay befire either side can hear anything.  Below is the show run requested by Chad.

  • How do I change my incoming calls to view caller's phone number instead of name?  This is for numbers not stored in my contacts (i.e. Unknown)

How do I change my incoming call view to see the "phone number" instead of seeing "Unknown" for contacts who are not stored in my phone?  Whenever a call comes in it says unknow instead on the phone number that is calling.

You need to set up the accounts in System Preferences/Accounts, then activate Fast User Switching.
That way you can quickly log in to your own account - then back to his.
You should obviously have different passwords.

  • My phone displays numbers instead of contact names for incoming calls and text - how do I fix?

My phone displays numbers instead of contact names for incoming calls and text - how do I fix?  It used to display the names if there was a contact listed, now it just shows numbers regardless of whether or not the number corresponds to a contact name in the contact list.  Can anyone help?  I googled this problem and lots of folks have experienced it, however there is not a consensus for a resolution.

Alexandribill, I have been having the exact same issue.  I got a new phone and restored my contacts.  If the # doesn't have the area code first then the name isn't shown.  I just added my husbands area code to my phone and called my phone from his and now his name shows up...Ugh, I have to go through and manually add the area code to all my contacts....
I'd say Verizon needs to rewrite their program to include the area code in the restoring from backup process!

UNABLE TO SEE/ANSWER INCOMING CALLS. Instead, when there is an incoming call, there is a "call status" button in lower left hand corner of screen...if i try to select the "call status" button, it does not do anything. Is this a reception issue?  Very strange.....please help!!!!
Post relates to: Treo Pro T850 (Sprint)

yeah, that's pretty strange. i suggest to try soft reset first and then if it's still showing the same behavior. do a hard reset. that should help. however if it's still acting strange, you call the palm tech support hotline. 1-877-426-3777. they will help you with your sprint treo pro.

This happened to me when I received a call. My phone started vibrating when it received the incoming call but the screen was black and kept vibrating like as if the call was still coming in, even though my friend hung up. It kept going and going, so I tried holding down the lock button to turn it off but screen was still black/turned off. Hitting home did nothing. My friend said to try holding down the lock button and home button together to reset it. I tried this and yet nothing happened. I am waiting for the battery to drain out and give it a try.

To reset, you have to press both the home and sleep/wake buttons until the Apple logo appears - takes 10-15 seconds.

  • Why did Apple change the incoming caller photo Id to a small picture in a small circle instead of the large full screen picture when calls are received?  This is useless.  If it isnt cchanged back to the way it was I am done with the iphone.  Hello Galaxy

This will be my last iphone if thhis minor software issue is not cleared up.  I hate the new caller ID incoming picture.  Too small

We are all users like yourself. No one here is an employee or representative of Apple. We cannot know why the photo of the incoming caller was changed. We can only say that it is what it is. If that feature change is enough to make you want to change phones then get the phone that best suits your needs. In the meantime you can send feedback to Apple here:

  • I have to select bluetooth audio with every incoming call (instead of the call automatically going to bluetooth, which i want) -- is there something I'm missing?

Just got new Bose bluetooth headphones, which work great -- can pair with iPhone 6+, mac, car -- the pairing is fine, sound is great, function is fine.  The problem is exclusively INCOMING calls. Unless I see the call on the phone, I cannot hear it through the headset (therefore rendering the bluetooth for incoming calls useless).
    Sequence is:
    Incoming call
I have to manually select the bluetooth pair for the headset when the call is accepted
Anyone know of something I'm missing here?
It's not the headset -- it's working and pairing fine, sound is fine, AND i can make a call.
    Thanks.

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities
This sounds like a bug and I would recommend filling out a feedback form letting Apple know what your problem is. https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • Handling incoming caller ID from legacy PBX

    Hello,
At my company we're currently in the process of running Lync 2010 EV through a POC. Everything is working great at the moment except for incoming caller ID from the legacy PBX. When a call comes into Lync from the legacy PBX (either from a desk phone or
from outside the company), the legacy PBX replaces the actual 'from' number with the company's main number. Apparently this is due to the legacy PBX being old and masking the outbound caller ID information at a global level. (So basically ANY call that goes
outbound from the legacy PBX has the caller ID masked with the main number, no way to make exclusions. This has been verified by the vendor that services the legacy PBX.)
The problem this introduces on the Lync client is that in the address book everyone has the company's main number as their phone number, except with an extension at the end. So when a call comes in from the legacy PBX the Lync client quite literally randomly
picks someone from the address book and says the call is coming from the randomly picked person.
So far in my attempts to fix this, I've tried creating a contact in AD with a phone number of just the main number. This did not change anything from the Lync clients perspective, however when I miss a call that was sent from the legacy PBX, Outlook now
indicates that the missed call is from the contact object with the main number instead of saying I missed a call from some random person from the address book.
I've also looked into seeing if a MSPL script could intercept incoming audio requests and change the From parameter to something else if the From value was the main number. So far I haven't seen any examples of this, nor do I have a test environment to test
    MSPL scripts in yet.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what can be done for the POC we're trying to do? Obviously if (more like 'when' really...) we decide to move everything over to Lync EV and pull the plug on the legacy PBX this won't be an issue, but right now I can't
even move forward with doing a POC outside of my team until I figure out something to do with the inbound caller ID.
    Thanks,
    Cody

How are you connected to the legacy PBX?  It might be easier to put a modification in a gateway if you're using one.
Also, why Lync 2010 instead of 2013?
What do you have set for the lineURIs of the users?  Is it the main number with extensions or a DID?

  • Caller ID for incoming calls NOT displaying name from contacts (only displays phone # on BB Z10)

on the Z10 Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID only shows the phone #, even when I have that number matched to a contact in the phone, even the call log it show the number and not the name.  How do I get the caller ID to recognize and display the appropriate contact name with the phone fro an incoming call? Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks, Akhanbilal

Thank you Arsen but, as with everyone else : (1) When you get an in-coming call, it has no call log on the phone app call log that allows you do a thing under the sun except to touch the number of the last call, and when you do, it CALLS THEM BACK. (2) On every other BlackBerry I have owned, about 10 to-date, I simply selected the last in-coming call and had a button at the bottom of the screen to allow me to ADD TO CONTACTS. (3) This does NOT exist on the Z10, and there certainly is no "Click on number, little slider pops on the right, select add to contact."  Instead it dials them.  Frustrating other uses have described Arsen. Further, while on the topic : (4) None of this has anything to do with 10-digit national dialing plan or anything else on swipe finger down from top in Phone App, Arsen. (5) When you swipe Phone App down, you see SETTINGS. Then, there are 13 items.  I have looked at all 13 items and see nothing as you describe to select, nor any instructions on what to set the SMART DIALING to when there are 3 area codes local for my city and country code shows +1. Further, while on topic here : (6) Visual Voice Mail has been turned-on and whatever visual voice mail is, never supported on any previous BlackBerry including my 9780 before this, I have it with T-Mobile and have it turned on on the BlackBerry Z10 and it too does not work.  On the positive side, I do have a work-around for BlackBerry Z10 to 2013 Toyota entune. (7) I first took a vm msg .wav file of just hello (blank will not send) and saved it on BlackBerry Z10.  The Toyota entune is LOOKING for a music and will LOCK-UP if none are found.  By giving it this, it worked on my 2013 Toyota entune for the 1st time ever.  Yeah !  It is a little frustrating every few minutes listening to myself say HELLO.  But, hey no one really notices it with all the other stuff going on NAVIGATION, radio, cell phone calls, and all the computerized alerts on 2013 Toyota even without entune. (8) What I did now was to go into Navigation and remove SYNC with MUSIC.  I accomplished that after pairing to Z10 to 2013 Toyota, by CANCELLING ALL CONNECTIONS leaving only the pairing itself.  Then, you must choose some connections in the pairing section of SET-UP within Navigation itself.  If you cannot even get to that point, try depressing on the Navigation Screen, INTERNET at which point it will allow you access to SET-UP when you see the message NO ENTUNE APP FOUND ON YOUR BlackBerry Z10.  Red-headed step-child is what we all are.  Have to help each other.  Arsen I appeciate you helping all of us.  Seems the list is about 20 who have voiced it here in this one thread.  We voice it for the 200 million BlackBerry users worldwide, all left out in the cold despite a pretty cool Z10 product. Far better than iPhone 5.  I chose phone and internet.  Internet comes back no BLACKBERRY Z10 TOYOTA ENTUNE APP.  But, at least now I don't have to hear the music HELLO and do not also have the BlackBerry Z10 LOCKED-UP with pop up message you have to say OK to 10 million times to clear and never can actually do a thing on the BlackBerry Z10 as  a result.  Cannot add an in-coming call to Contacts Z10. Cannot see name and number calling me, just the bloody number, no clue who is calling ridiculous. Cannot do diddle-e-squat on BlackBerry Z10 on Toyota entune.  No App.  Horrendous. TAGS : Z10 no caller-id name, Z10 no app Toyota 2013 entune, Z10 add call to Contacts

  • Incoming calls are going directly to Voicemail, Iphone 5S

I switched phones from an Iphone 4 to this Iphone 5S and my incoming calls are going directly to voice-mail and not ringing the phone. The only app I downloaded that is different from my Iphone 4 is the GroupMe app, but I don't know if that is necessarily the cause. Anyone have a suggestion? thanks

Hi,   I don't know if this info will help many, but for a few it may.  I had this problem over the weekend.  Called Tech Support 2x, they tried everything, resetting,, *73,  *228, *900 , there were no "do not disturb" settings, etc.   They prepared a work ticket for the next level of help.
Meanwhile, I couldn't figure out what changed all of a sudden.  I knew I had no calls coming in after accessing my voicemail.  I looked at my recent calls and noticed i had dialed a *83 prior to the voicemail *86.  Fat thumbs.  I remember years ago, having the features of *83 for do not disturb and *84 to stop the feature.   Just for giggles, i dialed *84, tried from another phone calling my number and WHOOLA, it came thru.
If anyone has these issues, try the *73 first.  But just for the heck of it, do *84 as well.  Takes half a second.   If those dont' work, then call Tech Support.  I wanted to share to help at least some of you as I understand the frustration of not having incoming calls.  I even called Tech Support and shared the info.  As this was not an option given to me from Tech Support,  but then again, i don't believe *83 or *84 is offered anymore.  I just dated myself, but hope it helps others !
