Incoming calls not using Bluetooth / Music tracks repeating

I've been having a problematic issue with Bluetooth since upgrading to iOS 7. I have my iPhone 5 paired with my 2013 Hyundai Elantra's Bluetooth system.
Outbound calls use Bluetooth just fine, as does Siri, but any incoming calls all use my iPhone's headset by default. I have to manually switch the phone's output back to my car's bluetooth in order to talk using my car's hands-free system... which really defeats the purpose of hands-free.
I'll note that this is happening both when my iPhone is plugged in via USB and listening to music on the car's stereo, as well as when the iPhone is simply idle in my pocket. I have not tested what happens when the car is playing my iPhone's music via Bluetooth (the audio quality is sub-par to a direct connection and doesn't display the artist/track/album on the console when playing via Bluetooth - ergo I rarely use it)
Secondly, I am having another issue, this time with playing music. I don't believe it's related to the above Bluetooth issue, but it may be related to my car.
Like I said above, I often use my Elanta's USB port to directly plug in my iPhone so I can a) listen to music on the car's stereo and b) skip tracks with the wheel-mounted controls. This all worked flawlessly with iOS 6.
Now, if I skip a track with my car's controls, the Music app will repeat that next track... over and over. When the song is completed, it will attempt to move on to the next song, then immediately backtrack and start playing the previous song again (you can tell so by watching the Music app. The album art will swipe over, then quickly swipe back). I have to manually skip forward to play a new song... Highly irritating.
I'll also note that skipping songs via the wheel-mounted controls is considerably slower than it was with iOS 6. It's definitely a couple seconds after I press a button before the next song starts to play. It used to be near-immediate.
Anyone else having either of these issues? Hopefully it's something Apple picks up on and fixes soon!

Don't know if you got this yet, but I came here looking for answer. Since I just found one, figured I'd pass it on for others:
You have to set your phone's incoming calls to "headset" under accessibility. (Silly, I know, considering, if you hook up a bluetooth, it should automatically default there, but no ...) This walks you through:

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Sometimes closing all applications open in multitasking and power cycling the device can resolve the issue.

  • How can I stop iPad from starting the music app after ending a phone call when using Bluetooth headphones?

music app automatically starts after using Bluetooth headphones during a phone call

If you don't have iTunes you will need to buy the song from the iTunes store and download it that way. If it is a custom track you may be out of luck.  The only way to get a song on your device without iTunes involves jailbreaking it.
iOS is set up to prevent people from emailing each other songs, videos, movies, books, etc. This is how Apple got their contracts with the content providers by promising that they would do what ever it takes to prevent people from sharing content that they didn't pay for.

  • Z10 not disconnecting phone call while using bluetooth

but this clearly represents what I am looking for in a BT speaker device.
So why isnt it so obvious to us when we are purchasing products that say they are BT speakers I wonder.
Do a web search for BT speaker with headphone profile and let me know if any that actually says it has it comes up.
Infact, only headsets say they have it and that just doesnt make any sense to me what so ever.

  • Caller ID for incoming calls NOT displaying name from contacts (only displays phone # on BB Z10)

on the Z10 Whenever I receive an incoming call, the caller ID only shows the phone #, even when I have that number matched to a contact in the phone, even the call log it show the number and not the name.  How do I get the caller ID to recognize and display the appropriate contact name with the phone fro an incoming call? Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks, Akhanbilal

Thank you Arsen but, as with everyone else : (1) When you get an in-coming call, it has no call log on the phone app call log that allows you do a thing under the sun except to touch the number of the last call, and when you do, it CALLS THEM BACK. (2) On every other BlackBerry I have owned, about 10 to-date, I simply selected the last in-coming call and had a button at the bottom of the screen to allow me to ADD TO CONTACTS. (3) This does NOT exist on the Z10, and there certainly is no "Click on number, little slider pops on the right, select add to contact."  Instead it dials them.  Frustrating other uses have described Arsen. Further, while on the topic : (4) None of this has anything to do with 10-digit national dialing plan or anything else on swipe finger down from top in Phone App, Arsen. (5) When you swipe Phone App down, you see SETTINGS. Then, there are 13 items.  I have looked at all 13 items and see nothing as you describe to select, nor any instructions on what to set the SMART DIALING to when there are 3 area codes local for my city and country code shows +1. Further, while on topic here : (6) Visual Voice Mail has been turned-on and whatever visual voice mail is, never supported on any previous BlackBerry including my 9780 before this, I have it with T-Mobile and have it turned on on the BlackBerry Z10 and it too does not work.  On the positive side, I do have a work-around for BlackBerry Z10 to 2013 Toyota entune. (7) I first took a vm msg .wav file of just hello (blank will not send) and saved it on BlackBerry Z10.  The Toyota entune is LOOKING for a music and will LOCK-UP if none are found.  By giving it this, it worked on my 2013 Toyota entune for the 1st time ever.  Yeah !  It is a little frustrating every few minutes listening to myself say HELLO.  But, hey no one really notices it with all the other stuff going on NAVIGATION, radio, cell phone calls, and all the computerized alerts on 2013 Toyota even without entune. (8) What I did now was to go into Navigation and remove SYNC with MUSIC.  I accomplished that after pairing to Z10 to 2013 Toyota, by CANCELLING ALL CONNECTIONS leaving only the pairing itself.  Then, you must choose some connections in the pairing section of SET-UP within Navigation itself.  If you cannot even get to that point, try depressing on the Navigation Screen, INTERNET at which point it will allow you access to SET-UP when you see the message NO ENTUNE APP FOUND ON YOUR BlackBerry Z10.  Red-headed step-child is what we all are.  Have to help each other.  Arsen I appeciate you helping all of us.  Seems the list is about 20 who have voiced it here in this one thread.  We voice it for the 200 million BlackBerry users worldwide, all left out in the cold despite a pretty cool Z10 product. Far better than iPhone 5.  I chose phone and internet.  Internet comes back no BLACKBERRY Z10 TOYOTA ENTUNE APP.  But, at least now I don't have to hear the music HELLO and do not also have the BlackBerry Z10 LOCKED-UP with pop up message you have to say OK to 10 million times to clear and never can actually do a thing on the BlackBerry Z10 as  a result.  Cannot add an in-coming call to Contacts Z10. Cannot see name and number calling me, just the bloody number, no clue who is calling ridiculous. Cannot do diddle-e-squat on BlackBerry Z10 on Toyota entune.  No App.  Horrendous. TAGS : Z10 no caller-id name, Z10 no app Toyota 2013 entune, Z10 add call to Contacts

  • 3GS wont stop vibrating after incoming call in cars bluetooth device.

    Hi there.
Every time i have an incoming call in my car using bluetooth, my iphone wont stop vibrating until I either switch it off in the settings or reboot the iphone.
This is a bit of a pain.
Does anyone have any idea on why its doin this?
The bluetooth reciever is built into my Ford Focus. Hopefully its not a compatibility issue.
    Many Thanks!!!

Definitely not normal behavior. Try a reset. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the slide to power off prompt). Else, perform a Restore (from backup so no data are lost).

My question is why are we able to make outbound call if the session-targat address is wrong. Please consider the following two Dial-peer. For a call coming in from PSTN, which Dial-peer is going to be used? Accroding to me the Dial-peer voice 1001 will be used because the call is coming from PSTN therefore it going to use the PRI. Am I right?

  • Voice call activation using bluetooth

The recent update to the droid that enables the user's bluetooth to have voice activation in making a call is a huge help as I miss my old phone's system.  However, the new system does not allow a cancellation or change of direction - in other words a fail safe to prevent your call from going to a defaulted number and/or if it recognizes a name that is different from whom you stated it will begin dialing straight away.  My EnV's system went something like this...
Phone:  "Please say a a command"
    Me: "Call Jennifer Home"
Phone: "Did you say call Jennifer home?"
    Me: "Yes"
    Phone: "Calling Jennifer home"
    or...
    Phone:  "Please say a command"
    Me: "Call Jennifer Home"
Phone: "Did you say call Debbie Cell?"
    Me: "No"
Phone: "Did you say call Debbie home?"
    Me: "No"
Phone: "Did you say call Danny Cell?"
    Me: "No"
Phone: "Sorry your command was not recognized.  Please try again" (or some such statement I may not be exact)
    So... try again...
    Phone:  "Please say a command"
    Me: "Call Jennifer Home"
Phone: "Did you say call Jennifer Cell?"
    Me: "No"
Phone: "Did you say call Jennifer Home?"
    Me: "Yes"
    Phone: "Calling Jennifer Home"
Currently the system will just call the incorrect number which can be exceptionally awkward if you are unable to disconnect in time to end the transfer.
It is my hope that Verizon will see this message and help to ammend this issue with the current system.  I do love that I am now able to call using voice activation from my bluetooth however this is a small glitch that I would really like to see fixed.
    Thank you,
    Mango

You had the 30 days to return your phone for a full refund, as I seriously considered when I found that indeed Motorola had not included hands-free calling and Verizon covered up the fact.  I have no problem paying for a quality application but that's just me.
As for not wanting bluetooth, what exactly is the point of hands-free dialing when you have to physically pick up the phone while driving and speak into it like a walkie-talkie? Unless you're trying to emulate Capt. Kirk.
The included Google Voice does that job -- poorly, but it's there. I just upgraded my Jawbone software and now my navigation speaks directions in my ear rather than through the speaker.
If you need constant hand-holding from a company instead of doing some upgrading on your own, good luck with that.

  • Incoming Calls Not Working

I'm using Trixbox with Skype Connect.  I can make outgoing calls, but incoming calls just ring a few times, and then the call terminates.
    -- When I ping sip.skype.com, I get the ip address 63.209.144.201.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello Tpddkennedylaw,
I see you are having trouble receiving calls.  Looking at your account, I can see you are making calls out okay, and I see that there were at least 20 attempts to your system by a 1410310xxxx number.  The number did hit your PBX, but had no where to go.  That tells me that you do not have a Incoming Dialing Plan assigned, or, there is not a Default Target Number assigned in the configuration of the PBX.  I would advise you to read up on "Incoming Calls" in the Trixbox documentation and follow the instructions to get your Incoming Calls going, and you should be good in no time.  If you still need help with that, contact the Manufacturer of the PBX for additional support.
I hope Skype has helped you with a solution to your Incoming Call problem.
Thank You for using Skype and the Skype Community Forums.
