Incoming calls on Bluetooth

Incoming calls ring through Bluetooth, but voice only works through Palm Pro (Sprint).  Soft reboots do not work.  Do not want to do hard reboots each day.  Does not seem to matter which Bluetooth device I use.  I have used three different Palm phones with Sprint (all with Microsoft Mobile) and several Bluetooth devices and it happens with each.  I went back to a wired headset for awhile but I need wireless.

I can only assume that you are doing this but I still make the mistake on occasion.  Make sure you are pushing the answer button On the headset.  If  you push the talk button on the phone, it will answer on the phone.  You can switch by simply pressing the button on your B/T headset.

Nowdays, since I have iPhone 5c, incoming calls, sound on speakers, but as soon as I answered, sound goes back to phone, then I need to change to vw phone by hand to hear conversation on the car speakers. Well tha's not safe, neither hands free calls, need help

We had the problem with our new iPhone 5 using i.o.s.6.0.1.  So we updated to 6.0.2 and the problem continues. Sure worked great with the iPhone 4s though.
Makes me think we shouldn't have moved to the iPhone 5.

  • Default incoming calls to bluetooth

Why doesn't my iPhone 5c default to my bluetooth when it's connected?  I have to touch my phone, select headset, and then it connects to my bluetooth.  I've upgraded to IOS 8.0.  My setting in Accessibility/Call Audio Routing (I don't have Physical and Motor in my phone - don't know why) is set to automatic.

Well, the call routing setting is correct. What model of Bluetooth headset is it? What troubleshooting have you tried? Try forgetting your Bluetooth device and after checking your user guide, reset your Bluetooth and then repair.

  • IPhone 3G S Flashing on incoming call via Bluetooth Kenwood KCA-BT100 incar

I used my iPhone 3G no problem with the in-car Kenwood KCA-BT100 linked through my sound and navigation system also Kenwood. Now when a call comes to my new iPhone 3G S it does not ring through the system, it just violently (it seems) flashes the phone then crashes the phone. Any similar experiences

I just replied to a similar post and I'll copy and paste my response here. I was having the same exact issue. Here is my possible fix.
Yesterday I updated the OS to the latest release. Then right after that I called AT&T and they reset my sim card. Or something like that. They did some sort of reset.
I then got in my car and drove around to test the phone. Because that is when the problem is worse. FINALLY they claim to be able to hear me clearly!!!!
I think it was the combination of both the OS update and the sim card reset that fixed it. Hopefully..... It has only been one day but so far so good. I'll update this post if things change.
Try this and let us know if this works for you.

  • Incoming calls not using Bluetooth / Music tracks repeating

I've been having a problematic issue with Bluetooth since upgrading to iOS 7. I have my iPhone 5 paired with my 2013 Hyundai Elantra's Bluetooth system.
Outbound calls use Bluetooth just fine, as does Siri, but any incoming calls all use my iPhone's headset by default. I have to manually switch the phone's output back to my car's bluetooth in order to talk using my car's hands-free system... which really defeats the purpose of hands-free.
I'll note that this is happening both when my iPhone is plugged in via USB and listening to music on the car's stereo, as well as when the iPhone is simply idle in my pocket. I have not tested what happens when the car is playing my iPhone's music via Bluetooth (the audio quality is sub-par to a direct connection and doesn't display the artist/track/album on the console when playing via Bluetooth - ergo I rarely use it)
Secondly, I am having another issue, this time with playing music. I don't believe it's related to the above Bluetooth issue, but it may be related to my car.
Like I said above, I often use my Elanta's USB port to directly plug in my iPhone so I can a) listen to music on the car's stereo and b) skip tracks with the wheel-mounted controls. This all worked flawlessly with iOS 6.
Now, if I skip a track with my car's controls, the Music app will repeat that next track... over and over. When the song is completed, it will attempt to move on to the next song, then immediately backtrack and start playing the previous song again (you can tell so by watching the Music app. The album art will swipe over, then quickly swipe back). I have to manually skip forward to play a new song... Highly irritating.
I'll also note that skipping songs via the wheel-mounted controls is considerably slower than it was with iOS 6. It's definitely a couple seconds after I press a button before the next song starts to play. It used to be near-immediate.
Anyone else having either of these issues? Hopefully it's something Apple picks up on and fixes soon!

Don't know if you got this yet, but I came here looking for answer. Since I just found one, figured I'd pass it on for others:
You have to set your phone's incoming calls to "headset" under accessibility. (Silly, I know, considering, if you hook up a bluetooth, it should automatically default there, but no ...) This walks you through:

  • Bluetooth no longer works for incoming calls after recent update

When I updated my Bluetooth to iOS 6, the Bluetooth no longer works for incoming calls. I press button to answer call, it makes a small cracking noise, and then sends the call to my phone. I can use the Bluetooth for outgoing calls and it works just fine. I was hoping when I updated to iOS 6.0.1 that the problem would be fixed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Bluetooth but that has not helped either. I am frustrated. I have a LG HBM-905 Bluetooth that I loved prior to this problem.

Magically started working today after I synced.

  • I have to select bluetooth audio with every incoming call (instead of the call automatically going to bluetooth, which i want) -- is there something I'm missing?

Just got new Bose bluetooth headphones, which work great -- can pair with iPhone 6+, mac, car -- the pairing is fine, sound is great, function is fine.  The problem is exclusively INCOMING calls. Unless I see the call on the phone, I cannot hear it through the headset (therefore rendering the bluetooth for incoming calls useless).
    Sequence is:
    Incoming call
I have to manually select the bluetooth pair for the headset when the call is accepted
Anyone know of something I'm missing here?
It's not the headset -- it's working and pairing fine, sound is fine, AND i can make a call.
    Thanks.

This sounds like a bug and I would recommend filling out a feedback form letting Apple know what your problem is. https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • 3GS wont stop vibrating after incoming call in cars bluetooth device.

    Hi there.
Every time i have an incoming call in my car using bluetooth, my iphone wont stop vibrating until I either switch it off in the settings or reboot the iphone.
This is a bit of a pain.
Does anyone have any idea on why its doin this?
The bluetooth reciever is built into my Ford Focus. Hopefully its not a compatibility issue.
    Many Thanks!!!

Definitely not normal behavior. Try a reset. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the slide to power off prompt). Else, perform a Restore (from backup so no data are lost).

  • Help! Why is the Pre's speaker ringing an incoming call when I have a headset on?

    Hi all,
I just had the most embarrassing thing happen to me today.
I was listening to some music on my Pre with the headset (that came with the Pre), and I received an incoming call.
I heard it ring and answered the call, no problem what I thought!
When I got off the phone, my co-worker complained that I had the volume on the Pre too loud. I looked at her and said WTF, I said you heard the phone ring. She said yes!
I then did a test, I exited the music playing, and opened the phone app and make a phone call out. So I made sure that the icon in the phone app showed that I was using the headset.
Then I ended that call, and used a land line and call myself on the Pre.
The Pre rang both in the headset and also the speaker the Pre?
Why is the Pre using the speaker when the phone rings if I'm using a headset?
Isn't the purpose of the headset to provide privacy and keep my neighbors from being disturbed?
I read about the switch turning off the ring but not the music, but this wasn't a case where I needed to use the switch, I had the headphones on.
Why is this happening, is this a bug ... or is there some sort of setting that I don't know about?
    Thanks!
    Rob

I'm having the same problem. I had a plantronics 975 (which I lost, sadly). When connected, the ringer would always be routed through the bluetooth and the iPhone's external speaker. When in silent mode, the iPhone would only vibrate, but I could still hear the ringer in the bluetooth.
I just bought a new Plantronics Voyager+. Now when it's connected, all sounds are routed to the earpiece - including the taps, etc. The iPhone's speaker doesn't ring at all, unless the bluetooth is disconnected or powered off. I'd really like to be able to hear both, like I was before. This is an iPhone 3G running iOS 4 (latest version, not sure what it is exactly). Haven't updated software/firmware in between bluetooths, just changed the earpiece.

If an audio issue occurs when using a specific application, try testing other applications to see if the issue persists.
If the iPhone is paired with a Bluetooth headset or car kit:
    Try turning off Bluetooth.
If you experience difficulties with the Bluetooth feature, follow these troubleshooting steps.
    Restart the iPhone.
If restarting doesn't fix the issue, ensure that your iPhone is updated to the latest version of iOS.

  • Full screen incoming caller display 2730 classic

Is there a way of making the phone display the incoming caller display larger, when your driving and using Bluetooth its almost imposable to read the number or name of caller
I know the font size can be changed for other applications but this one is a must as it could be quit dangerous to try and read who is calling when driving
A full screen would be better

Is there a basic nokia phone that just makes and receives calls, text, and with Bluetooth with extra large fonts so the phone can be read, mostly for incoming calls
My 10 year old 6310i was good but the bluetooth let it down

  • Muting incoming call after latest 5.0.2 update

Hi! After updating my Z3C to Lollipop, I've noticed few drawbacks when it comes to smartband functionality. Despite (in my opinion) Sony bad decision of dropping their own Bluetooth unlock in favor of android smartlock, making using smartband for this extremely hard, I'm also quite irritated with how it handles incoming calls. Earlier I was able to shut the ringtone down by pressing the button on smrtband, now doing this results in phone switching to priority mode, but the ringtone is still playing. I'm not sure if this is happening from the latest update or since first lollipop software. Is someone experiencing the same behaviour? Maybe it is some update error. I'd be grateful if someone could check their devices!

Anyone facing the same problem? If someone could chceck please, i'll know then if it's only my device or not

  • Jawbone2: Must choose Jawbone from Audio Source for Incoming Calls

Had the original Jawbone and just got the new Jawbone. Love it except I must choose Audio Source>Jawbone for all incoming calls. All I had to do with the original Jawbone was 'slide to answer'.
I did unpair the headset, turned off Bluetooth and did reset the Jawbone but re-pairing the headset.
    Any ideas?

I have the same problem. I emailed customer support at Jawbone and this is the response I got back from them. So I followed the instructions but I had little hope. I did it 2x. No help.
    Response (Chris) - 06/12/2008 10:57 AM
    Hi Ross,
I understand your problem and have a fix for it. I have experienced the same problem. To fix this reset the Jawbone and iPhone and then repair them. Also make sure that if this happens again that you use the headset because the New Jawbone has an idle feature that goes in to effect after 15 minutes.
    Sincerely,

So I had an original Jawbone and didn't have this problem on my iphone. Thank god you guys made a magsafe type connector for the power cord.
Anyways, when I receive a phone call on my
iphone if I use my phone to accept the call, the phone answers and says that it is using the headset. But I can't hear anything. But if I put the phone up to my ear I can hear the conversation. So then I have to go to the audio source on the iphone and change it to headset.
But if I answer it using the jawbone button it works fine. I know the answer is to just use the headphone. But I didn't have to with the old one. What else can be done.
    Thanks for the help.
