Incoming Inspection certificate

Dear Friends,
Recentally I have come across one scenario in which all required configuration settings are done to activate the incoming inspection certificate madatory. Even after that system's behave is :
1. At the time of GRN system is not showing any respose w.r.t quality certificate (though option is there in respective tab).
2. Inspection lot status is always "CROK" in every case.
I am unable to find the root cause, Pl. help..
Regards

some settings are required in certificate type in customising
Quality Management>QM in Logistics>>QM in Procurement>Define Keys for Certificate Processing>Define Certificate Types> select certificate type which u are using in material master
check box for 'No certificate confirmation at GR ' should not be set.
now if u confirm certicate at gr status will be crok
if no confirmation is done at gr status will be ctcm

  • Incoming Test Certificate

    Hi
Scenario is like this I have done all the settings for incoming certificate and it is working fine in normal G.R. case (means mvt. type 101).
Now the problem is, when I do G.R for the P.O in which the delivery address is given as directly at vendors end; means movement type 101 O(special stock indicator) parts prov. vendor
In that during MIGO even if I accept the certificate in purchase order data screen as certificate received
it gives me an error as (A category E22 inspected certificate is required)
    so what to do?
    Thanks
    Vinay

    Hi Gulrez,
Inspection reports are linked to deliveries, transfer orders or material documents. There is no link between orders (VBAP) and inspecion reports.

  • Cost capture for Rework for Incoming Inspections

    Hi xperts,
    Scenario
Incoming inspection,  QC department checks and finds rejects No UD stock posting is done. They use in house personnel for reworking the partial rejects they have. (This is because they have imported raw materials with lead time of >3 months, Vendor does not provide rework costs)
Requirement is to capture the in company labor hours for these re works for the Incoming inspection lots. The stock has not been accepted into stock ie UD stock posting not done. They would like to accept stock only the usable ones after re work.
Can QM order capture this labor hours used up for rework (No production order is generated with or w/o material) for inspection lot ?
    Regds
    Jomy

    Hi
You can definitely capture the cost in QM order. For that:
    define activity type
assign it to cost senter & define the activity rate
then using tcode KB21n you can book the activities against the QM order
you can get the cost report in KOB1 agaist order
    Hope this is helpful

  • Incoming inspection through source inspection

    Hello,
I want to do incoming inspection for few raw materials on lot basis (each trucks is one lot). But quality department  do the inspection for certain characteristics and truck will allowed inside only if QA dept accepts the lot.
Then gross weight is taken and material is unloaded in yard. Again empty truck wt is taken through weigh bridge. Then Good receipt for that lot is done based on formula GRN qty= GROSS - Tare wt.
So I think option for me for incoming inspection is Source inspection. But quality needs data and Usage decision done to be based on lot wise. Is it possible for me to do source inspection based on lot wise for one open purchase order.
Concluding:- I need incoming inspn before Goods Receipt for each lots I receive. I may have one PO, but my vendor may give 5 trucks on that PO. Each truck I need to maintain as a lot for inspection.
Whats the best way...Assured rewards for best solution

Have you tried using inspection points for this?  Each truck can be a new inspection point.  But you can't make the UD until the end of the day or the next day which could be a problem.  I think you'll have to have the material go right to unrestricted inventory, (turn off post to inspection stock in the inspection type setup for the 01.)
As you do each receipt, the qty of the truck will increment the inspection lot posting qty as well as unrestricted inventory.  If an inspection point fails, the tech/mgr. would post that qty in the returns stock line.  This would move the qty from unrestricted back to the vendor.
The final UD would be on the qty of all five trucks received for the day minus any that were rejected.  You may need to work with the invoicing folks as to how this all impacts the invoice.  But I beleive they'll see a shortage of material if any trucks were rejected.

  • Incomming Inspection Auto mail if Rejected

    Hi Experts,
During incoming inspection if characteristics are rejected and UD Code will be selected  as "R",  requirement is auto mail sending option should be there which is having all rejected characteristics detail.
We can send this mail through std sap mail but this results detail functionality not available in this mail.
Kindly suggest me how can I configure this mail and which functional module it ill work so that I can send all characteristics  results will be send through sap mail.
As per my assumption one functional module need to be activate and which is having functionality of inspection report detail.
When UD Code "R" Selected system will send this report to predefined users.
    Guide me on this issue
    1) Which Functional Module suitable for this
    2) Is it possible we can send Result detail
    3) Where I have to define the user names so that system will send automatically (EX, Puchase Deprt Head, Planning and Engineering Dept users)
    Thanks
    Shiva Patil

    Dear Shiva
I have this functionality created when the material is rejected through Alert management. My settings are as follows
    1) A function module is created which consists of all the datas pertaining to the inspection lot. This alert goes based on the roles. So we have defined in this program which all roles this mail has to go. When rejection happens the mail will go the derived roles for the particalur plant
This FM works based on the Alert management functionality
    2) I have added this function module under the follow up action in the selected codes
    3) when material is rejected follow up action triggers automatic mail to LN

  • Regarding Incoming quality certificate from vendor

    Hi Experts ,
Please explain me with steps how the certificate process is carried out for both in outgoing & incoming case.
    REgards
    vivek

    Hi vivek,
    For Out Going Certificate.......
You need to maintain a Certificate Profile (QC01)
Assign the material to created COA profile. (QC15/QC16)
Then run trx QC21 to take print out of COA, now system will pick the result for the inspection lot,(you have enter in the selection layout for QC21 initial screen). for all those MICs that you have attached to the profile.
    For In coming COA.
Maintain the QM in Procurement data in the QM view MM.
Define the certificate type the vendor furnishes with the delivery, in Q info record (QI01).

  • Archive incoming quality certificate from vendor

    Hi All,
We are receiving the vendor quality certificate along with the raw material and we would like to store these certificates (in PDF format) in SAP.
As a part of this scenario i have created the quality certificate in QC51 against the PO. But I am unable to archive original certificate which we received along with material from the vendor.
Kindly elaborate what are the customizations settings are required to archive the quality certificate.
    Thanks & Regards,
    N. Laxman

First of all you have to get with your Basis person and find out where you are going to archive your certs too.  Most places set up an optical drive for this purpose.  This has to be done by basis.  They should be able to tell you what the "link" is they  have set up for the device and the repository id they have defined..  In standard SAP the link is TOA01.  But if there is no device behind this link, your archiving won't work.
In config in QM, quality certificates, process output, define archive link, you would map the "link" to the object type BUS2117, for document types QMICERT and QMICERTPDF.  This should be there already hopefully.
If this done, you should be able to archive you incoming COA's.

  • Incoming Quality Certificate

    Dear Experts,
I have a problem, actually we have categorise our vendors in three categories, A Class, B Class and C Class Vendors, and we do source inspection not GR inspection, but for A Class Vendors we only received Quality Certificate from the vendor and we donot do source inspection for A Class Vendors, we only want to enter certificate number in MIGO, if we have not receive the certificate system should not allow us to do migo.
How can we achieve this in sap, please confirm me step by step.
    Regards
    Ishu

    Hi,
in migo u can see in header level service for object here  u can attach the quality certificate  ,if u done gr r else u go to same material document in display mode &  u can attach the quality certificate.
u can enter the quality certificate no. in text either header r item level even if u make it as mandatory.
    Regards

  • Incoming inspection for partial quantity

    Hi,
I need to define quality inspection for incoming parts but this inspection should be for a partial qty.
If i get a  qty for 100pcs from vendor, when MIGO or GR is done, it has to create inspection lot for 10 pcs and remaining 90 has to go to Unrestricted use stock directly.
Is there a way to achieve this
    Thanks

  • Incoming Inspection at purchase order type level

    Hello guys,
Would anyone know if we can somehow activate inspection for goods receipt for one type of purchase order and not another. Part A when GR'd against PO type ZA should not create an inspection lot. However if the same part is GR'd against PO type ZL an inspection lot is to be created.
I don't think this can be done using standard system but need confirmation please and also any tips/ advise if somehow this could be done using an enhancement.
    Thank you,
    N.

    Hello Nav,
Create two inspection types Say ZSUB and Z01.
ZSUB: Inspection of Sub-contracting Materials. (Copy of 01 inspection type)
Z01: Inspection of Goods receipt XXXXXXXX. Set default values as shown below, Purpose is to have inspection lots without any Specification requirement and results will not be recorded.
Assign both Inspection types in an inspection setup.
Implement User exit QAAT0001 - Inspection type determination different from variant 01.
Select inspection type based on Document types ZA and ZL.
Use Automatic UD and Automatic stock posting for inspection lots with Z01 inspection type.
Refer below document, Page number 17.

    Hi Harish,
You can generate an inspection certificate for the inspection lot generated for 04 insp type.
U need to use QC21 Certficate for inspection lot transaction ( U can search the lot for ur production order)
    Basic steps to be done
    1. Create certificate profile
    2. Assign profile with out any recipient.
    3. Generate certificate

  • Vendorwise certificates

    Hi all,
Can me maintain incoming certificates verdorwise ?
    for ex.
material 123 is supplied by 2 vendors (A and B)
A has to submit chemical test and risk annalysis
B has to submit material test report
In material master I can only enter 1certificate type. At the time of Ud I will not be able to know which vendor supplies which certificate.
Is there any master where in I can maintain this data ?

You can only track one certificate type via the QM in procurement process.  SAP best practices is expecting that for a material, the certs that are required are material based and the requirement should not change from vendor to vendor.  Why would you require one vendor to provide a different set of certs than another for the same material.  Seems a tad unfair.
Are you doing incoming inspections with this?
In an inspection lot you can set up a characteristic for each certificate you expect to receive and set up a simple pass/fail qualitative characteristic for them.  Create a separate inspection plan for each vendor.

  • Upload certificate profile (QC01) USING LSMW?

    Hi,
is there any bapi/ standard method / ale/idoc for upload certificate profile (tcode qc01)?
    thanks,
    abaper

    Hi,
Pls check this Link Re: Certificate Profile QC01
Note : Quality certifiactes which is important for business, there are two types.
Incoming Certificate - while performing incoming inspection against MIGO (Vendor PO),quality inspector/engineer should prepare the certificate, this scenario is called Incoming certificate.
Outgoing Certificate - while performing Final inspection against Prod.order or Sale order delivery, quality inspector/engineer should prepare the certificate, this scenario is called outgoing certificate.
Quality certificate profile is mandatory with characterstics values.
    Thanks & Regards
