Incompatibility between Apps, case open 331650255
Hi there
i bough a brand new ipad 3 for my work and i am having the worse experience ever!
i am a Apple products maniac...but there i am disappointed
after less that 30 days having it, i started to experience some issue with my ipad
the screen started to flash and i was loosing some part of the screen (going black on email)
i called Apple support i had to send back the ipad for 15 days to have it changed and i still have the same issue
i did record the issue and send it to Apple but still it is there (available on request if you want, i have it on dropbox)
i bought it for work and after less than a month i had to give it back , no more nice tool to work with
not worth the investment!
the only solution i can think of is that i must have some apps that are not compatible between themselves
sincce the 28/8 i have try to call back the person that was dealing with me but gone, vanished, left on my ownso i turn to you to see if anybody has experience the same issue
please help

If you were having a problem with your first iPad and you restored your replacement iPad from the backup of the first one you could have brought over whatever glitch was in the first over to the second.

My iPad Mini #1 with OS 7.1.2 began uncontrolled actions recently. While reading a book in 3M Cloud App the pages would expand and then minimize on their own and then the uncontrolled action would open other apps and do the same by uncontrollably expanding and minimizing different pages in that app and then the actions would move on to another App and open it and expand and minimize pages and open different pages etc . . . Initially I thought the problem was connected to the 3M Cloud Library App so I deleted it on my Mini iPad and also in iTunes on my iMac and downloaded a fresh app to install on my Mini. However, that did not affect the problem. The uncontrolled actions start in any app and begin every time I open my Mini to the point it is becoming useless. Please help as I don't have a clue as to the cause of the problem or how to go about fixing it.
If this is still happening have you contacted APPLE support with the problem (same question to other posters).
If it is always after a certain length of time with active use - it may be overheating causing wear and tear on internal components.
Or - a bug in the software is causing sudden replay of what you just did.
Had similar issue with work owned IBM think Pad due to age and use in office area that was warm (not my choice) - it behaved as though the track mouse or keyboard was stuck - repeating same single character - open/close folders- would have to do quick shut down by pulling the pad out of dock and pulling the battery out -- solution - was to get new lap top after PC techs cleaned it and it still happened. -
Difference between cleared items,open items and all postings (FI).
Hi experts,
Can anybody tell me the difference between cleared items,open items and all postings for an account.
While running corresponding bapis and transaction FAGLL03 (for GL) or FBL1N (for accounts payable) i found that in some cases all postings is less than cleared items or open items for a time period. How could it happen.According to my knowledge all postings should contain cleared items and open items.

For every Billing Documnet created(VBRK/VBRP-VBELN) there will be an accounting document created in BSID/BSAD tables.
OPEN ITEMS means the Billed/Invoice Amounts that are pending from Customers, i.e which we have to receive from Customers.
CLOSED ITEMS means the AMOUNTS received from that customer.
OPEN ITEMS : fetch data from BSID table Only
CLOSED ITEMS : fetch data from BSAD only.
ALL POSTINGS : fetch data from both BSID and BSAD.

Hi. This is my first time posting. My Macbook Pro with Os X Mavericks has been running super slow since before I installed Mavericks so I'm pretty sure it's not the OS that has the problem. It runs slow even if only one app is open, especially if it's a browser, particulary google chrome. If mail is open...forget about it, down to a crawl. I don't know how to read Etrecheck, but was hoping someone who does can help me out. Would be super grateful. :-)
P.S. - Also, it sounds like something is loose inside my mac. How should I proceed?

Incompatibility between iTunes 11.1.3 and Apple TV?
Up until a few days ago, our 3rd generation Apple TV, purchased in August 2013, permitted home sharing with our iTunes music library without any problem. After having gone through every troubleshooting suggestion, we can no longer access the iTunes library. We can still view movies, movie trailers, YouTube, Smithsonian, Vimeo, etc. Even though home sharing is set to "on" for both iTunes and ATV, the iTunes music library refuses to open. This 3rd generation ATV is connected with an eithernet cable, a connection I assumed would guarantee fault-free operation.
Our older ATV is 2nd generation and its connection is wireless. Thus far this older ATV has no problem gaining access to our iTunes music library.
Is there an incompatibility between iTunes 11.1.3 (8) and the 3rd generation Apple TV that could be causing this trouble?No, there is no compatibility issue.
There is a network issue causing problems. Most AirPlay issues boils down to a networking issue, especially when one ATV connects and the other does not. -
Can't eject FW drives - says app is open, yet none are open
This is mildly disturbing: After only 6 months of use, I just got a "Can't eject drives" and something about data being "used" or an app being open, yet *no* applications are open - everything was quit / closed before I chose to eject the drives. Just like I've done for 10 years on Macs.
The warning prompt showed an option to "force eject" which I did not do, nor did I chose "try again". I stopped trying to eject. Then, even *more* disturbing, I clicked on one of the drives and it showed "0 items" on the drive.
I restarted and now the drives appear normal.
Just prior to this happening, I had an additional self-powered Glyph drive at the end of the daisy-chain. Disturbingly #3: while this drive was connected, I received a warning prompt that said "drive wasn't ejected properly" and it disappeared from my desktop. I had done nothing to cause this, it simply happenend. I'm guessing this issue is due to the self-powered factor - I probably should have had this closer in-line to the Mac FW800 bus.
Would this daisy-chain scenario cause the non-eject problem?
Here is my setup:
FW800 out to older Glyph drive via FW400 connection, then daisy-chained to two *brand new* Glyph drives via FW800 connections. ALL drives were formatted properly when I purchased them.
OS 10.8.5
I remember this happening on 10.7, 10.6, 10.5 etc... Hasn't Apple figured this out?
Is there a Disk Utility I should run to make sure all my drives are ok?I don't think that's the case because the drive successfully ejects upon closure of the QT player. I'm not sure if it is the way they wrote file handling in general in Mountain Lion, or if it is a QT Player 7 issue, but it is definately annoying.
It seems that the Volume becomes locked when a file is opened. When that file is closed, the Volume remains locked until the application that opened the file is closed. This seems to work different than it used to. -
How do I change the default app for opening a file;
If I right click on a file in finder, it tells me what the default app for opening the file is. it also gives me a short list of other apps.
I would like to change the defaults for several file types, and also delete one app from the short list and add a different one.
How do I do this?

- right-click (tap with 2 fingers on the apple trackpad) on a file you want to open in openoffice
- move the cursor over "open with". You should see the default app, then some suggestions, then app store, then at the end, "other...". Select "other..."
- find openoffice in your applications folder and select it (if it is dimmed, change "enable: " from "recommended applications" to "all applications", then you can select "openoffice")
- check "always open with"
- then, click "open". The file will open in openoffice and from now on, openoffice will be the default application to open the type of file you just opened. You should also see the icon of all files of the same type change to the openoffice file icon.
This is supposed to work, but that's not always the case, especially when the default app happens to be an Apple app. If you don't want to use that Apple app, delete it (or move it elsewhere if you want a backup). That can help.

Incompatibility between DW on different computer browsers
I'm a graphic designer / dabble a bit in DW / beginner coding skillset
In essence:
1) I'm working on a five button menu in a style that's commonly known as a "Mac (MacIntosh) Docker / Fisheye" effect.
2) On one computer it works fine in the IE browser.
3) I copy all related the files in order to place them on another computer.
4) Upon viewing the same file in the browser (both Fire Fox and IE) on this computer, the rollover effects do not work.

This is but an experiment so it's not posted anywhere. The files are few so I've attached them (hope you don't mind).
For the few sites I create; I use a very easy WYSIWYG program called "Xara Web Designer". I create my pages there and every so often I like to slip in a special effect I find online. In this case it was a Mac Docker http://ndesign-studio.com/blog/css-dock-menu similar to this one. I tweak the code in DW; kind half-***, trial & error - nip & tuck while previewing in split screen / live view. When I like what I see I save it.
I go back to Xara and create a "placeholder" box and paste in the html code from the docker (created in DW) - hit preview in browser and voilá - no fuss no muss.
It's how I've done things up to know but this particular docker is giving me grief and I can't seem why.
NOTE:
In the past I've seen a .css file in the batch. In this docker there is none yet it looks fine in DW.
As I stated before; I'm strictly a graphic designer swimming in the deep end of the pool . . . with no floaties!
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

If you are using DW rollover effects did you copy over the Scripts folder as well with the Javascript files to make the rollovers work, or are you using CSS for the effects. If you are sure you have all the files please share the page with us so we can see it.

How to switch between apps in mission control shortcut key
I open two apps in my macbook, how can i select the app without clicking on it?.I know that f3 > mission control and then click, but i want to switch between apps with keyboard shortcut.Thanks in advance for your help.( I am runnig lion).
Hold down the cmd (⌘) key and briefly press the tab key (⇥) then use the left/right arrow keys to select the application you wish to switch to. When done release the cmd key.

Bug when using four finger trackpad gesture to switch between apps?
When I use the four figure trackpad gesture to toggle between apps, once I select the app it is shown the app is selected in the menu bar, but it doesn't open minimized windows. Maybe this how it is supposed to operate, but if I have a minimized window, I want the "app toggler" to restore it. The point of me using the "app toggler" is to avoid me having to go to the dock.

Latest update, now does not show apps are open
I used to have a little arrow against the apps that were open.
now Mail and Firefox are open but cannot tell that from the dock.
Skype and Finder are the only ones, and they open on startup.
Anyone know how to fix it?
ThanksDid you actually have a little arrow? If so, you must have used some kind of haxie to change it, because an arrow is not the standard indicator in the Dock that an app is open... it's an oval under the icon if the Dock is on the bottom or a white dot to the side of the icon if the Dock is on either side. In this case, that haxie is undoubtedly responsible. You'll need to look at its documentation for how to remove it... simply deleting a haxie may not be enough to eliminate its effects.

PankajI'm not aware of any apps that can open pdfs from iBooks, but I could well be wrong. There are a small number of apps that will open pdfs from emails, you can also open pdfs from some applications ike dropbox which has an iOS app so you can access any document you can open on iOS and sync between devices and computers.

To open your domain file in Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with AppleScript Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain. Note: you may have to Control (right) - click on the app after uncompressing and select Open due to the Sandboxing feature of OS X. If you have problems with the app create your own with AppleScript Editor.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible in Lion or Mt. Lion enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

Illustrator extension persistence between close and open again
I'm creating a extension in eclipse that redirect the panel to one web where I login and i've the possibility to login and remember the user.
All works fine but if I close illustrator and open again, I think that it doesn't save this information and I must login again.
I'm using windows 8 and chrome as default browser.
It's something about cookies configuration?. In chrone are activated.
How can I activate persistence of the variables from my extension between close and open illustrator? It is a web app.

Ipad Dropbox app cannot open some pdf files
my Ipad Dropbox app cannot open some pdf files. The blue download bar appears and when download is complete, the wheel spins and spins and nothing happens.
Some files are password protected. until recently, the password window would open. Now it does not. The wheel just spins and spins and the file does not open.
AN email attachment (pdf) which I opened in Dropbox on my iPhone opens fine. Files saved in Dropbox from my desktop won't open. This is true for pdf and MSWord files.
I'm running iOS 7.1.2 (11D257)Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Should that fail, you might delete and reinstall the app.
