Downloaded the Adobe reader XI and I am unable to open PDF files online, After researching
I was told I have Incompatible Application What can I do?

Let's back up a little bit.
What browser are you using, what version of Adobe Reader and what OS?
And what exactly are you doing (how are you trying to open the PDF's) and what happens when you try?

I've not seen that error message, however Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates may help you get iTunes installed properly.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, ??acs to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

It sounds like an issue of trying to run XI on VISTA. That combination does not work. Info on both the Acrobat full version (including sub-version) and OS would help. It might also be an issue of running 11.0.0 on a system that needs the updates to work.

Reader won't load on windows 7. It says incompatible application

I have tried several times to load Adobe Reader11 on my computer with windows 7. It loads then I get this message

I double click it but nothing happens. I run the troubleshoot compatibility and it says incompatible application.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it does the same thing.

need help for an irritating problem. i recently downloaded cs6 cretive suite from my universities software licensing aggreement with adobe and when i go to install it on my lap top, after anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 min(after my comp ran a troubleshoot) the progress fails and the installation stops. it flashes to no error message after this and i found the "incompatible application" message after i ran the trouble shoot. I've downloaded, installed, and ran various adobe trial programs on my lap top before and they had no issues so i dont know why creative suite is failing me. This happens with the 32 bit and the 64 bit versions they offer (my processor is a 64 bot). any tips or suggestions would be awesome for i dont know where to turn

havent checked them yet. last night i read that the installation fails if you dont run the download as an admin, but when i do that the installation still times out after like 30 min of it saying "its gathering the files needed"... ill check my specs and let you know if those match up

I made a test in our test enviroment, Windows 8.1 X64 Enterprise, no problem with it.
According to the error message, it should be directX problem, your system lost d3dx9_43.dll. please install the DirectX Runtime to solve your issue:

According to the SoundSpectrum website, after completing the process, it required XP/Vista/7. It worked on my Vista computer, while my laptop did not. After installation, it canceled, and now d3dx9_43.dll is missing.

Find folder with incompatible applications created during system upgrade

When I upgraded to Lion the sustem placed all incompatible software into a hidden folder. Kaspersky antivirus was places there. I purchased eset antivirus. When I asked it to update it asks me to uninstall kaspersky. Even when I ask finder to show hidden files I cannot find kaspersky. Does anyone know what my solution is?

Best solution is to uninstall with either the uninstaller that came with it or one from the product's support site.
Once uninstalled keep it uninstalled. There are no known viruses that attack OS X and it will cause many more problems than it solves, like none.
Also, forget the other AV. These will only cause problems for you.
Try your Go menu > Computer > Macintosh HD

Error while exporting - importing application

Hi All
I was trying to export my apex.oracle.com app and was importing it to my local db installation environment. Encountered with an error:
*1 error has occurred*
*NOT COMPATIBLE (Your export may contain calls not supported by your application version.)*I found that in my local environment, some features were missing like page of Type "Master-Detail" was not there while creating a page in my local instance. (My app is not using any mater-detail page, but it may be using some features which are missing in my local version). Want to know about the following:
1. The APEX 3.2 (apex.oracle.com) DB version so that I can upgrade my DB instance version.
2. Is the error telling about the incompatible application version or the DB version? How can it be addressed?

The compatibility issue you encountered is about the APEX version and NOT the database version. The same APEX version can be installed on different database versions, starting with 9.2.0.3 or later.
As each new APEX version adds new features, which manifest in the metadata table structure (among others), you can’t install an application from an advanced APEX version on an earlier APEX version.
The version on apex.oracle.com is 3.2, while the default APEX installation on a new 11g database is 3.0.1. As such, if no specific upgrade were done to your local APEX instance, you won’t be able to import applications from apex.oracle.com.
As was suggested, the only feasible solution is to upgrade the local APEX instance to the version on apex.oracle.com.

How to recognize if application is installed using "Install application on remote desktop..." option in Control Panel in Windows Server 2008 R2?
Basically, as administrator, I can't say if the user installed application using "Install application on remote desktop..." in Control Panel or he just installed it by clicking the .msi executable. I can't find anything that makes any difference.
I could not find anything in the registry. I am quite confused.

Please make sure that you are using category view of control panel-programs to check the application. And in addition to “install application on Remote Desktop server” user can also use command line also.
change user /install
change user /execute
change user /query

Application Launch Failure when starting Office 2004 and Adobe Photoshop

I've had my powerbook G4 for 3 months now with no problems what so ever, but recently my word, exel, powerpoint applications and even adobe photoshop cs give me a:

The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "3<Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_ImageCapture>"
i've google this problem for several days with no solution. I've tried, deleting the pref files, reinstalling office, disk verified my hdd. Nothing worked.
Does anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Here is some general advice on troubleshooting shared library errors.
A shared library error, in general terms, implies a missing, corrupted, or incompatible application or operating system framework. Details on frameworks and shared libraries (heavy technical reading) can be found in the "Frameworks" section of the "Software Development Overview" chapter of the Apple Developer Connection document Mac OS X Technology Overview, and the Framework Programming Guide.
Causes for shared library errors include:
• The affected application has been corrupted and must be reinstalled.
• Running incompatible versions of two applications with interdependent shared libraries.
• Disk or permission corruption.
• Corrupted operating system installation.
To resolve shared library errors:
1. As a start, perform a general checkup by running the procedure specified in my Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption FAQ.
2. If the problem persists and only one application is affected, uninstall, then reinstall the affected application. See my "Uninstalling applications" FAQ for important advice on uninstalling software.
3. If the problem persists, multiple applications are affected, or the shared library in question is part of the operating system, then reinstall Mac OS X using the Archive and Install process. See my "General advice on performing an Archive and Install" FAQ.
