Incompatible archive_log_dest withe archive_log_dest_n

My problem is the following:
I have put my database in the archivelog mode.
But I can't fill in my local directory for the arc files.
The message says that archive_log_dest and archive_lod_dest_duplex are incompatible with mine archive_log_dest_1.
Still I believe that the former archive_log_dest are not in use.
What should I do?

You have to decide whether to use log_archive_dest and log_archive_duplex_dest or to use log_archive_dest_[n] where n is in the range 1 - 5.

Printing incompatible printers with Parallels

I have a Canon MF5750 which is incompatible with a Mac. No OSX drivers on manufacturers website, only windows drivers. Would it be possible to print to it if I were to install Parallels and have windows installed? To be more specific, would I be able to print to the printer from a Mac application like Safari or Mail? You might want to post on Parallels' support site for more details, but here's what I can tell you:
Shot down Windows, but don't close Parallels. Once the virtual machine has stopped, go to the Edit menu and choose Virtual Machine. There is an option you check in the USB controller section that says "Connect USB devices automatically". That should help, if not, again try the Parallels support site. Cheers!

Incompatible Itunes with windows 7, despite several Reinstall attempts.

My Itunes has decided to stop working, with my O.S detecting the application as incompatible. I've been scanning through various topics trying to figure out to do but if some one could give me a step by step breakdown of how to fix this it would be fudging fantastic.
It's the 64bit O.S, got the right installer.
Tried to disable BonJour, no effect.
Quicktime works still.
Reinstall several times, to no effect.

IPod Touch 4Gen is Incompatible Bluetooth with iMac & MacBook?

I have an iPod Touch 4Gen. iOS 4.3.4
I tried to connect it to an iMac 24" 3.06GHz. and to a MacBook 13" 2.4GHz. (The Blackie). Both use Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with Bluetooth Firmware 2.0.1.
The problem:
The iPod no connect
The settings in system preferences / bluetooth
iMac is incompatible with iPod?
Why?

The iPod dos not have the necesaary profiles to support pairing with a computer. See:

"Incompatible format" with DVD Studio Pro

I'm trying to put together a DVD with DVD Studio Pro. When I transfer the movie into the "track 1" area in DVD Studio it says "Incompatible format". I've tried going under "preferences", then under the "project" tab and selecting both HD DVD and SD DVD but neither setting makes a difference, it still will not accept the clip. I've gone into the "General" tab under preferences and tried setting the resolution to the same as the movie file and still nothing. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what might be going wrong?
Just to let you know as well, I have a smaller file that I've tried inserting into DVD Studio and it seems to work fine. Both this smaller file(891MB) and the actual movie that I'm trying to add(22.1GB) have the exact same attributes when checked in QuickTime using "command + i"

Your best bet is to encode the video outside of DVD SP to an m2v stream. Are you making a SD DVD or HD DVD?

Note that the type parameter T used to define class B is not the T used to define class A. What you wrote can be more clearly written:

Just reminder...
I've discovered some strange behaviour of my core duo mac mini with Xerox XA7-19i LCD display. This display worked well with 10.4.5, but after my upgrade to 10.4.7 my screen was blank and only blinked a little bit after booting. The only way was to put into sleep mode with the power button, and wake up with the keyboard to get it work. It was disgusting so i reinstalled osx and upgrade only to 10.4.6. Now it works, but i cannot see the booting of my computer i onyl see a black blinking during the boot. After that when it booted up totally a get the desktop. It's now a little bit better, but still strange.
With 10.4.8 the problem is the same as with 10.4.7, so apple has not changed anything, despite of my bug report.
I hope sombody will read this problem, and may have a solution for that!

Incompatible message with iHome Alarm Clock

I have an iHome alarm clock and after upgrading to the latest version of IOS the clock and my iPhone are no longer working together. I get the message that the phone does not support this accessory. I have tried resetting my phone and deleting and redownloading the necessary apps. It is very frustrating. Can anyone out there shed light on a solution?

I'd say the most likely answer is they did not follow Apple's design specifications for peripherals and now it's catching up with them.

Incompatible SL with all previous Adobe. SMB disaster

Can anyone help make SL work with Photoshop CS Illustrator CS Acrobat Pro 7 and Golive2 CS. The apps all worked happily in our small business until the SL upgrade.
Just how many earlier business users of Adobe products have been cutout by Apple's flagship OS, it must be 10^5+.

In the general section of the info panel, an app that requires rosetta to open
should say:

I believe The Apps that are universal (both power pc and intel) will give you
the "open with rosetta" option, those that are power pc only will not.

IPad 2 iOS 7.1 incompatible? with most app updates

After updating to iOS 7.1, I find some app updates cannot be downloaded and installed. Some eventually are after considerable delays. Anyone else struck this problem? I have tried deleting an app then attempting to download and install, but no joy.

Which apps are you trying to install? I have iPad2, no issues for me tell now.

Windows Vista Service Pack 2 Incompatible Issue

as I was installing vista sp2 and got an message
incompatible problem with drivers and please refer to KB 967752.
on the first time, I continued to install sp2, but system got blue screen and crashed.
On the second time, i installed the hotfix kb967752,but still got the same message.
Is there any one who can help me?

If you are using only 1-character strings, then you can do:
   switch (sa[3].charAt(0)) //sa[3] contains customer type

Magic Mouse not working with rechargeable batteries

Hello,
I have a Magic Mouse. I ran out of alkaline batteries and replaced them with Philips rechargeable batteries.
Magic Mouse refuses to turn on.
The same batteries, used in a MS Mouse work just fine. In fact, it works even with only one of them.
Are there incompatible batteries with Magic Mouse? Can anyone advise?

I suspect it may be a voltage issue. Virtually all rechargeables work in my Mighty Mouse but I have not been able to get rechargeables to work at all in my Magic Trackpad. I have tried about 5 different varieties. What I have not tried, as I did not have any with me in France, are these "instant on/ready to use" rechargeables. I measured the voltage of newly recharged NiMh cells at about 1.47V, which quite quickly dropped to about 1.3 to 1.4V and then stayed there a long time. Fresh Alkaline were about 1.6 to 1.8V and fresh Oxyride or Lithium, about the same. For high current devices, the lower voltage of the NiMh cells may not be an issue, as their internal resistance is much lower than alkaline, so that the effective voltage in use may the same. However for very low current devices like Mice or trackpads, the free voltage may be more important,

Folder "Incompatible Software"

Hi everyone:
There is a folder in my Macintosh HD called Incompatible Software with the following files: ConnectUSB.kext; helper.kext; hypervisor.kext; Parallels Image Tool.app; Pvsnet.kext; Pvsnic.kext; Read Me.rtf; and vmmain.kext.
All these files say the last time they were opened was Dec 2009 or before.
Is it necessary to keep these or can I trash them?

I would ask in the "Using Mac OS X Snow Leopard" forum, and direct your post to MacBook Pro fellow users. But yes, I would trash them while looking to upgrade software to latest version to be compatible with 10.6.4. (Parallels is now 6.0 and much nicer).

Dead CD-R/RW drive. Which model to replace with and where do I get it???

What I need to know is where do I look to find a 100% compatible, super drive that would of shipped with the upgraded versions of my particular IMAC. I have found a ton of information as to incompatible drives with idvd 6.x, Itunes 6.x, etc. but no reference or on-line retailer that will enable me to replace my DEAD cd drive with a compatible superdrive.
