Incompatible display driver. projects don't open error, it says Update your display driver.
I have Adobe Premiere Elements 10 . on Windows 7. Please help with this error problem with My display driver details: ATI Technologies Inc. AMD Radeon HD 6530D 3.0.10834 Compatibility Profile Context. I updated the driver and still will not open.
Adobe Premiere Elements 10 has been working now for over a year with no problems. What happened? How do I fix this?

The BadDrivers.txt deletion is the next step.
The directions specific to your Premiere Elements 10 on Windows 7 64 bit are
Local Disk C
Program Data
Adobe
Premiere Elements
10.0
and in the 10.0 Folder is the BadDrivers.txt file that you delete. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path cited.
Then, once you open a project, a new BadDrivers.txt file will be generated by the program, but now the problem should be gone.

I have a Toshiba laptop, Windows & Home Premium Edition operating system. I had FF 3.6.3 installed and up until 6:00 today it was sort of working properly. I find out later that my huasband cannot even open the browser, as every time he does, a dialog box opens up whcih says "UPdate cannot be installed. Please make sure no other copies of FF are running on computer, then restart FF to try again." But I do not have any other copies of FF. I really do not like it when FF auto installs stuff without my permission. Many times this stuff is downloaded and installed, only to raise havoc with my computer.

I just upgrade to lion on my iMac and also did the switch to iCloud and Paralle destop doest not what to open anymore .It says reactivate your mac and try again.

EricThere's no need to go to the store if you don't want to. You can purchase and download the new version from the Parallels web site. In fact if you want to try it out, I believe you can do the download and get a two week trial version. Later you can purchase the serial number to make it official.
I cannot be certain about your data, but I did not lose anything when I updated to Lion and faced a similar situation.

I have been using dolphin browser since long and never before it showed that flash player needs to be updated. Even in safari browser it showed flash player need to be updated. Also, when i try opening anything in google app it says network unavailble even when my internet is working fine. Here is my problem listed in simple steps:
I created a project in Premier a couple years ago on a G-Raid mini external hard drive.
I backed up my project folder on a LaCie external hard drive.
The G-Raid mini hard drive died.
I cannot open my project from the LaCie drive.
When I attempt to open my project, I get 2 error messages:
First: "The scratch disks are write protected or unavailable. To open this project, the scratch disks will be set to your documents folder. Would you like to continue?"
I say "Yes"
Second: "This project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset file or codec could be associated with this sequence type."
I say "OK", and that's the end.
My understanding is that the problem has to do with the fact that my original scratch disks were created on the G-Raid mini hard drive, and that Premier will not open my project because the code for my .prproj file directs Premier to a hard drive that is not connected. I have tried to edit the code in TextEdit, replacing the name of the old hard drive with the new one where the code reads:
<project.settings.lastknowngoodprojectpath>
This did not work. I also tried changing the name of my new hard drive to match what the "lastknowngoodprojectpath" reads as in the code, but that did not work either. I have searched high and low on the internet for someone who approaches the types of error messages I receive from the perspective of trying to open the project from a different hard drive, but I cannot find anyone who is specifically giving advice about this. Any suggestions?I doubt that the error concerning the sequence preview preset file or codec has anything to do with the scratch disc location.

Mail will not open - error message says home directory is full
I am running 10.4.3 on a dual 800 PowerPC G4 with 1.5 GB SDRAM.
I also run 10.4.3 on one PowerBook G4 and 2 iBooks.
I retain on my computer a large number of email messages but have plenty of room in my .Mac file
I run several hundred email messages per day.
Three days ago when I attempted to open Mail, I rec'd error message "Mail cannot update your mailboxes because your home directory is full. You must free up space in your home folder before using Mail. Delete unneeded documents or move documents to another volume."
I have deleted many files from the home folder and moved others. I still get the same error message.
I have experienced no problems with accessing my mail using my PowerBook G4 with similar config and OS.

Try the following:
With Mail quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail.
Move the Mail folder to the Desktop.
Launch Mail and a new Mail folder (and account named folders within) will be created automatically.
All new mailboxes will be empty but if this allows the Mail.app to function properly, you can use the Import Mailboxes feature to import selected mailboxes or manually replace mailboxes from the old Mail folder one at a time to determine which mailbox was causing the problem -

Some POP email accounts don't allow multiple connections, you might be seeing some type of lockout.

Project will not open when saved to an external hard-drive

Well, as the title says, I cannot reopen a project when saved to an external hard-drive, it will however do so when I save to a local drive... Not good if you wanna work around several workstations, any ideas as to why?

I've been trying to hotsync my palm to Mac laptop for a few hours everyday for 5 days now - I've visited all the forums, bought a new laptop (this was incidental rather than caused by the palm problem)
...At first I got the "transport monitor" missing error - I followed support forums' suggestions. It didn't work. Hotsync would not happen; and neither would palm desktop open. i don't use any other programs to sync (not isync, not outlook, etc) Only ever use Palm for like 10 years now.
This problem persisted in both my 3-yr old mac and the brand new mac-
I also tried installing pam desktop from the online palm support site.
I've since re-installed palm desktop a few times and handheld says "hotsync operation complete" However, Palm Desktop will not open and I get this error -- "file is busy"
Please please help - I've recently decided to allow my palm to rule my life again (we do international events and we're bringing in Australia's #1dj in a few weeks) --I'm desperate for a solution -

[solved] AGP Error after last update with fglrx driver
Hello. I updated today (current: the new beyond kernel and the new fglrx driver) and have errors.
This i found in my Xorg.0.log:
(EE) fglrx(0): [agp] unable to acquire AGP, error "xf86_ENODEV"

I experimented with the line

but no effect.
Update was done while in runlevel 3, so without X.
Also tried to rmmod and then removed the fglrx packages, reinstalled the packages and load the module -> no effect, same error

Found the old Packages for 8.24.8 in my pacman cache and installed them. With this version all is fine.

Logic won't open because it say's core midi driver is missing
I've tried uninstalling it and re installing it to my computer and it still won't open. The loading window that pops up after clicking on the logic studio icon says checking midi drivers and it will stay there for around 30 minutes then logic will open. I am unable to even close logic once that occurs because a consistant reminder pop up window keeps me from clicking on anything.
Hey, I've solved this problem, though I can't say I know how - I think there was conflict between Logic and my Yamaha i88x, which would explain the hangage while setting up Core Audio. But, like I said, I don't know exactly what I did that solved this.... seems to be working though!

I trying to download the trial for Elements but a dialogue box popped up and said the certificates don't match. What does that mean? Does it suggest that if I bought Elements that I couldn't download it? I just got a new Retina display iMAC and I'm trying to transfer the software but my older version of Elements 10 wouldn't install. So I thought maybe time to upgrade to 13 but I can't even download the trial. Any suggestions?
