Incompatible with Kaspersky PURE: cannot use password manager.

After upgrading to Firefox 5.0 I get the following error:
This version of "Password Manager Autofill Engine" does not support your web-browser.
Please, contact developers: [email protected]
Reason: TypeError: Components.classesByID[KPMAUTOFILL_CID] is undefined

I had the same problem when Firefox 5 was out (Password Manager Autofill Plugin not compatible).
Installing Standalone Password Manager only sort of fixed the issue, as it was in trial mode (my license is for PURE) and didn't import the DB from old version.
Doing as it says [http://support.kaspersky.com/faq/?qid=208284589 here] fixed the issue (ofc, the fix came about 2 weeks after official release of Firefox 5).
But here we go again, now that Firefox 6 is out. I already opened a request w/ Kaspersky Tech Support, my guesstimate is in about 3 weeks we'll have a patch for PM, so just be patient and don't try too many things to "fix" it, it won't work until new patch is out.
Edit: do '''NOT''' install stand-alone Password Manager, if it's the same as with FF5, you will have it as trial mode and you won't be able to import the DB.

    Like many others I can't use Firefox 13 with my Kaspersky Pure so I have switched back to IE9. When will this problem be fixed?

    Firefox just keeps on realising 6 weeks updates. They state that it's up to 3rd parties to resolve incompatible issues. Which is utter nonsense since it way to short a time ... come on, forcing 3rd parties to adjust their things every 6 weeks? Get real Firefox!     This is a very good/useful   procedure. This procedure works  with an “Enterprise”  Account. 
    In our environment we ONLY work with  “Windows AD”  accounts. (to keep users management very straight forward.)
    We do not get the procedure working with “Windows AD” account.
    Our procedures stops at Section:  “07.3 Add to VM”:
    The selected webi document, within the promotion Job, is not getting "checked in" in  Version Management.
    After that all other steps are useless.
    Windows AD user cannot use Promotion management, but Why?
    (If we use version managment on the individual webi report, with a windows AD user everyting works fine)

    We run SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.1 Support Pack 2 Patch 3.
    In SAPBO4.1 we had to extend the properties of 2 services:
    AdaptiveJobServer and the AdaptiveProcessingServer.
    Now we can use windows active directory for promotion management,
    thanx.

  • Need to install a version of firefox that is compatible with kaspersky pure 3.0

    It is more important for me to have Kaspersky Pure 3.0 including Safe Money than Firefox 29, which updated automatically today for some reason from my previous version which worked and was compatible with Kaspersky Pure 3.0.
    Do I just dump Firefox or can you fix the problem?

    I recently installed Kaspersky PURE and have issues with web sites fully loading or working correctly on Mozilla. Things work fine on Internet Explorer, but not Firefox, which is what I prefer. Please help...thank you.

  • Password indirection using password-manager

    Hi
    I'm trying to set up password indirection for my connection to our data source.
    The documentation states that you should add the <password-manager> element in the system-application.xml file.
    However, the xsd doesn't allow this! It has the password-manager element defined, but not referenced from within the orion-application element.
    Am I missing a trick here? Where is it meant to go?!?

    As far as I recall, all you needed to do was to ensure the same username was entered as an OC4J JAAS username in the user manager that the application was using. And then in the data-source (or CP nowadays) definition, specify "->username" as the password field. The container would follow the link and work out what the password was.
    Can you post the doc link you are reading this in here so I can have a look at what's written? It may be talking about the general jazn-user-manager applied to the application. Which you don't need to muck with to make this work in most cases.

    When I try to initialize the database using Configuration Manager, the following error occurs:
    ALC-TTN-002-001: JDBC datasource lookup failed for resource reference [java:comp/env/jdbc/
    IdpDs]. The most likely cause is that a datasource having a JNDI
    name of [IDP_DS] does not exist or is misconfigured. Check the application
    server's configuration.
    I DO have an IDP_DS datasource configured in jboss. I carefully followed the Jboss configuration instructions, so I don't really understand which is the issue here.
    Anyone encountered a similar problem? Any help?

    Data source files have to end with ds.xml and should be copied to the /deploy folder of your JBoss configuration (all) for them to be picked up by JBoss.
    If the file was edited in Windows, make sure it does not contain DOS characters. Ubuntu Linux is not a supported LiveCycle OS platform currently. Only Red Hat Enterprise and SUSE Enterprise are.

    Managed driver beta has been released. However, I cannot use it on Mono, which is a Dot Net Environment on Linux.
    The fata exception is type load fail...
    So I want to know what else dll the managed driver depends.

    Mono isn't supported by the beta nor will it be supported in the first production release. Oracle will consider supporting Mono in a release after the first production release.

  • Cannot use password protection in documents

    Hi
    I cannot use the password protection I have for Acrobat documents.  Worked fine before today, but now when I go to apply a password protection, I get this error message:
    Support Information:  CPasswordLockbox-152
    Not only can I not secure using a password I already have create, I cannot create any new ones!
    Nor can I alter the ones I have.
    I have downloaded the newest reader today.
    I am using Acrobat 7.
    Someone please help because I cannot send out our product without it being protected.

    That could be the problem (no promises).
    Having both on the same Windows system is non-supported nor recommended. It can cause any number of problems and is unpredictable.
    Remove one, reinstall or repair the other and see if that clears things up.

  • Cannot install Password Manager error 1310

    I am trying to install Lenovo's Password Manager on a T520.
    I get the following error. " Error 1310. Error Writing to file: C:\Program Files\Lenovo\Password Manager\ InstallUI.cmd. Verify that you have access to that directory.
    I have tried to install as local machine administrator and as domain administrator with no luck. Same error.
    I even made the domain administrator owner of the specific directory.
    Has this happened to anyone else? Did you find any fix/workaround?

  • Cannot disable password manager in ThinkPad Edge 13!!

    I tried out password manager in Lenovo ThinkVantage Tools --> Password Vault
    After setting it up, I don't want to use it any more. But there is NO WAY to disable it.
    I know it's run from Client Security Solution folder in C:\Program Files. But there is no link in the start menu or add/remove programs in Control Panel. There is also NO entry in Startup folder or Registry.
    How does this Password Manager thing gets run when my computer starts up? The red icon in the tray is very annoying and I just can't find a way to disable it!!

    in this case please go to registry :
    HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData
    - once you are there press CTRL+F and type there
    Client
    and hit ENTER
    - this should start the search for this word in the registry
    - please continue in the search untill you will find the full name of Client Security Solution
    - in this same/right site you will also see the key called "UninstallString"
    - execute this string, so that the uninstallation process will be started.
    In case you just want to deactivate the security options, then please start CSS GUI
    Start->Programs->ThinkVantage->Client Security Solution
    - on the left site go to "Enhanced Security" and now on the right site click "Deactivate"
    - this will deactivate the CSS and password manager
    - also to be sure, that it's deactivated, go to windows services and make sure, that the following service is set to deactivated:
    "TSS Core Service"
    I think one of this should help you out.

  • BlackBerry cannot sync with iCal for Mac using Desktop Manager (2.0)

    I still using my blackberry Bold 9700 a long time and I am happy with this device. I no switched to a Mac and my problems started, Unfortunately I can't sync with the Desktop Manager (2.0) my calendar. It create a problem: Can't sync please try it again
    I tried the proposed ideas (forget device..) but there was no solution. 
    In general I only like to "copy" the calendar datas from my BB to ical. (so one way), but also I can't find to select this choice, only two way or no sync.

  • How can I re-download the previous version of Firefox. I have lost most of my add-ons with 4.0 including my password manager. This is a calamity and I've changed my default browser from Firefox. Help!!!

    The problem is very simple. As soon as I downloaded Firefox 4.0 I lost my add-ons. The add-ons were the reason I have been using Firefox for several years. This seems to be ludicrous. The new version should be able to manage integration of existing add-ons or the Firefox team should have provided the add-on authors with advance technical information before releasing 4.0 to the world.

    To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
    You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
    To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

  • ITunes incompatible with Kaspersky Internet Security

    Windows 8.1 running Kaspersky Internet Security doesn't work well with iTunes. Processes distnoted.exe and syncserver.exe are eating up 50% of the CPU (i5) after exiting iTunes or after simply connecting an iPod/iPhone/iPad. This is a common issue and it has its own thread on the Kaspersky forum:

    Kaspersky officials have stated that they cannot fix this issue on their own because that would decrease the overall level of security provided by the program.     I suggest to write a feedback note to Apple.
    They will not answer you but they certainly read it.
    Kaspersky, besides being very slow, is good. However there are some other good AV apps for Windows: AVG, Avast!, Eset.
    Do not use Norton or McAfee: they cannibalize your Windows machine.

  • After updating with IOS8 I cannot use iphone it is stuck in OVERSIZE PIC.  If i shut down and leave for awhile it still stays oversize cannot take calls or see apps.HELP!

    I loaded IOS8 today it worked for awhile . but not it is in OVERSIZE and and functional cannot rec calls or make calls.  Although phone does ring.
